Unfortunately, I had an uncomfortable experience with Valerie at Candeeland. She approached me and stated my 3-year-old little sister took cookies without them being paid for, even though I had already paid for them. I clarified that they were paid for, but she continued to say they weren't, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. My little sister actually went to put the cookies back because she thought she had done something wrong. Valerie also let me know that we were past our allotted time, which I completely understand and had no issue with. However, her tone and the way she handled both situations felt unnecessarily unfriendly, especially for an environment centered around young children. I understand employees have rules to enforce, but I wish the situation had been handled with a little more patience and kindness, particularly when speaking about a 3-year-old child. It definitely made our experience less enjoyable. read more

I'm rating Candeeland specifically as a paid indoor playground, not comparing it to places like Kidspace or other larger kids' attractions. We went on Labor Day and paid $20 per child for 2 hours, which included one adult per child. Overall, the place seemed clean, the restroom was clean, and there were plenty of things for the kids to do. I liked that everyone has to wear socks, and they have slippers outside the restroom to use inside. There's also a snack area with snacks and drinks available. They have a separate area for kids 5 and under, which is nice. It also looks like the staff can tell the kids' age group based on the tag you get after the waiver is completed. The employees were fine and seemed to be doing their jobs, but there wasn't much greeting, smiling, or checking in with families. That's mainly why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. For me, 5 stars would mean the overall experience was outstanding, including great customer service and staff making families feel welcomed. I did see one child pinch/hurt another child while the parents weren't nearby. I felt bad for the other child and the parents. I understand that kids are playing and you sign a waiver knowing there are risks, but it would be nice if staff could step in when they notice something like that, get the parents involved, or have the child take a short break. Overall, a good indoor playground with plenty for the kids to do and a clean environment. We would come back. read more

Hello To whom this may concern, I was with my granddaughter at your location on Saturday May 9th. Would like to inform you that I will be filing a police report because I had my iPad stolen at your place of business. We were told we could not bring our personal belongings in and would have to leave it with stroller in the front of your store. When I returned to my car realized my iPad was gone. Not sure if this was an inside job or if this is a common occurrence at your place of business but I will most definitely not be returning and will advise friends and relatives of the potential theft going on at your place of business. Your employees are more concerned and watchful over whether you put outside food in your mouth over making sure you don't go over your paid time or customers coming in smelling like they smoked weed in the parking lot. read more

There's a snack bar inside the grounds where you can purchase a variety of snacks or drinks. We arrived at opening time, which is 10am. I went on a Thursday and my daughter and I had the place to ourselves for about an hour and she loved it! It started getting busy close to 12pm. It's clean and well kept. The staff are nice. Definitely recommend coming if you want to kill time at the mall! read more

Honestly this place was way more hyped up on social media than in actual reality. It's more expensive than other indoor playgrounds I have taken the kids too, but in addition to it being pricy a lot of stuff was outdated and it was not as clean as other places I had been. In addition, there are like 50 vending machines that attract all of the kids that cost extra money and are a rip off. The whole point is to get kids moving, not drag them back to technology. Other than that, staff was friendly and the theme was cute. Wouldn't come out of the way to return to Candeeland in Downey. read more

This is probably the cleanest play area place I have ever taken my kids to. You see staff constantly cleaning, vacuuming, watching the kiddos, they are everywhere! They ensure only kids under 5 go in to the 5 and under play area, which is a big thing for those of us with smaller kids. It gives you a truly safe space for the youngest ones. Plenty of seating, bathroom are so clean and they provide slippers for bathroom visits. They have a diaper changing table with a diaper bin. Lots of snacks and coffee options to choose from. TV was on and we were able to watch a World Cup game! I celebrated one of my kids' birthdays here about two years ago and the service was awesome! The only thing I disliked and why I opted to celebrate the next couple of birthdays at other places like Sky Zone ( which isn't as clean or safe for the little ones) is that your guest count includes both children and adults. At Sky Zone for example, they only count the "jumpers" towards the guest count. I didn't have to include their parents that basically just sit there in a room while their kids are off playing. When we celebrated my daughter's bday, I ended up paying extra for a few adults that decided to show up and most of my adult guests were just sitting in the party room the entire time waiting for their kids to finish their play time. I didn't like having to limit the kid count, kids who would actually enjoy the play time and have fun with my kids. But after paying an additional $100 for 5 extra people, on top of what I had already paid for the birthday package, I just didn't want to spend any more. That is literally my only "complaint". We love this place, the service, the staff, and we continue going every chance we get. read more

We have visited this Candyland location for a few times now. Although today it was super crowded! I guess the kids are not too crazy about the Oscars!! The staff members were light blue T-shirts with Candyland printed on them so they're easy to spot. There is a snack bar so you are able to buy snacks and drinks once you're inside. You do have to take your shoes off and if you're going to participate with your kids, then you should have the socks that have the rubber bottom so that you do not slip and fall. You pay by the time that you want to stay into the playground area. They do give you a sticker that you have to wear to designate what time your session ends. It is noisy so if you came here to do any kind of work or steady, I would avoid the weekends. It's located inside the Stonewood shopping center . read more

Easy five star review. Some stand out things I liked: the second floor of the main play structure is tall enough for an adult to stand up! This means I can chase my kids or play with them without having to crawl or bend over for an extended period of time. It's so nice. The second thing I really like is you can see the main play area AND the toddler area from each side. This is really great if you have kids of different ages and need to keep eyes on both. I also appreciate that they enforce the rules, like no kids over five in the toddler area, no going up slides, no outside food. This makes it easy on parents because other kids are not doing the things you're telling your kid they can't do. Enforced fairness can be good sometimes, lol. I just want to point out that the stuff is beyond amazing. I decided to take my kids today, 2 & 4 years old. I was really upset because of a Dad and his little girl, must have been 7, 8 years old we're in the toddler area. The girl had an accident inside the ball pit and I overheard the Dad scolding her for peeing, but didn't inform anybody that she even had an accident. My son was in the ball pit when this happened, and I noticed that there were wet footprints on the floor and on the edge of the pit. I grabbed the spray that they had and sprayed the area down, not thinking anything of it. One of the staff noticed that I did that and right away brought towels and sprays to clean the area and another staff member came over and asked me to take my son out because they were spraying chemicals in the pit area to sanitize. When I took him out, he was completely covered in pee all over the back of his shirt & shorts. My son wears diapers so I know it wasn't him. I was really upset, and I told the staff, I went to go talk to the manager about it, and they fully refunded me for the time that I was there. My kids were upset cause we had to leave early, we were 35- 40 minutes in & the guy in the front gave them lollipops, with my approval, to help me calm them. The staff there is amazing and on it about Cleaning and sanitizing everything. They shut the whole toddler section down just so they can sanitize the entire area. As far as that, Dad, it's extremely disgusting that he tried leaving without saying anything to anybody. Accidents happen that I understand but keeping it to yourself and then trying to leave without informing staff is beyond me. read more

So I just received the most amazing customer service. One of the workers had already caught my eye when I seen how caring and thoughtful she was towards the other kids. I had no idea she would be so helpful to me, but the experience I received was so great it made me go renew my son's pass. My friend and I brought our sons to come and play, but they lost an item and we had asked a staff member and they kind of brushed us off but when we approached Samantha, she was very professional and helpful. She didn't make us feel like the other staff member did like "hey we already took your entrance fee. Now you don't matter" The professionalism and her demeanor with the children was excellent. Great fun location in a pretty much empty mall. The staff is very nice and the play area is clean and safe for kids. Small enough to watch them throughout but big enough to enjoy. There is a dedicated kids and toddlers area vs for infants. Restrooms are available and clean too. I've been to that indoor playground at least a couple of times my son really loves it. I don't mind taking him there, especially when I wanna go to that area having a bite to eat at Olive Garden first and then going over there to Candeeland indoor playground so my son could run off his energy and come home tired. But my son loves the popcorn over there and it's only one dollar popcorn that is affordable plus they have other snacks options and they also have some food to choose from something better than nothing but most importantly my son is having fun and enjoying it, and I also play with him every once in awhile to engage with him and played together. That is one of my son's favorite indoor playgrounds and he also likes the one in Burbank too. Those are his two favorites so far. read more

This is our main go to for a weekend fun with the kids. Parking is easy, the place is well kept and maintained and you're able to see the layout for the most parts unless the kids go on the backside of the apparatus. Since I still have small ones, I still follow them around and the set up is tall enough for grown ups. The other location is about smaller and going around is dreadful. The toddler/ball pit area is nice and the older kids section is spacious as well. read more

It's fun but I don't like that adults are allowed to stand and sit all around the play area. I go to a different indoor playground and adults are only allowed to help their child down the big slide. But here there's adult climbing all the way to the top everywhere, I don't feel it's safe to have children out of sight for this reason. read more
