I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was here in this establishment, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is pretty massive since they share the lot with several other establishments. Each parking spot is pretty wide. Establishment: The establishment itself is very big, clean, tidy, and organized. I got to watch Titanic in 4DX, and that was wild. It was my first time ever watching a film in 3D 4DX. My friend and I had a great time. I felt like I was in the movie and on the ocean. Such a cool feeling. Would highly recommend Titanic fans to watch the movie in this format if possible. This was one of the most disappointing theater experiences I've had. I attended the 9:00 PM showing of Scary Movie 6 on June 4 to celebrate my birthday. My friend drove long distance to join me, only to be denied entry because theater staff CLAIMED that children were not permitted for that showing EVEN THOUGH MY NIECE WAS ACCOMPANIED BY HER PARENTS. What made the situation frustrating was that, once inside the theater, I noticed another guest had been allowed to enter with a child. If the theater has a policy regarding children attending R-rated movies, that policy should be enforced consistently for everyone. Turning some guests away while allowing others to enter under the same circumstances feels unfair and unprofessional. Because of this inconsistency, my friend had to leave and missed the movie entirely after making the effort to come celebrate with me. The experience put a damper on what was supposed to be a special evening. Unfortunately, I did not get the name of the supervisor or manager who assisted us. However, management should be able to identify the employee who was overseeing guest admissions for the 9:00 PM showing of Scary Movie 6 on June 4. I understand that theaters have rules and policies, and I respect that. My issue is not with the policy itself, but with the apparent lack of consistency in how it was applied. This repeated confrontation frightened my young granddaughters and was completely unnecessary. What is even more disappointing is that Regal's response focused only on explaining their policies while ignoring the actual concern: the excessive treatment and the distress caused to a family with children. Just FYI....they check bags upon entering. I've never had a regal do this before. Also the bathrooms are really dirty. A lot of stalls missing toilet paper. Toilet paper/trash strewn EVERYWHERE in the bathrooms. Out of paper towels. Also self serve counters have their jalapeños just raw dogging out in the open no lid. Really gross. Movie screens need to be up higher. When you have the seat reclined all the way back the ledge blocks the bottom part of the screen. Definitely won't be coming back to this location. read more

finally getting the Remodel it deserves. The place is starting to look great! The new recliners feel great and go all the way back. The little table they added to each seat have enough space so you don't feel trapped. The new carpet looks awesome. They are still remodeling the lobby and should be done by December of this year 2026. I was happy to see lots of families there. The customer service was beyond. I've been here twice and I won't be back. They check your bags unlike amc. No outside food or drinks. Pepsi sucks! No free refill unless you buy a large drink! The regular size was like $11. I don't recommend coming here you'll have to buy food/ drinks here and it's overpriced. Also, if you see a movie in the 4dx beware of the violent shaking of the seats. They say third time is a charm. For me, the third time was a curse. I was originally planning to see Paddington in Peru at the Regal Edwards in Long Beach Towne Center, but had to change my plans last minute, leading me to the Regal Edwards in South Gate instead. I had already seen the Heart Eyes movie a week ago, and there was a Regal Crown Club promotion for this month where if you watch multiple love-themed movies, you can get extra credits. There was also another promotion where if you saw the Paddington in Peru movie during the opening weekend, you can get 500 extra credits. Bonus credits for watching one movie? Why not?! Well, there are a few reasons why I would NOT recommend coming to this Regal at El Paseo South Gate Shopping Center, which is located on the northeast corner of Garfield and Firestone. I entered the plaza through Firestone, and there were so many cars stopped in front of Sam's Club. However, a sign directed me to go around the warehouse to find the movie theater. There's a parking lot on either side, so if you're not planning to go to Curacao (the store next door, not the island lol), feel free to park closer to the parking garage. When I came in, I didn't see a sign that would direct customers to purchase tickets at concessions. Instead, there was a hostess at the front who simply directed me to the concessions stand. I wasn't in a good mood, but Diego at the concessions stand was great! Best Regal employee I've seen so far as he was pretty upbeat and welcoming. I handed him my Regal Premiere Ticket while letting him know I was here for the Paddington in Peru movie. The seating chart had some occupied seats in the middle, so I chose a seat at the very rear of the auditorium, thinking I'd get a better view while staying far from the kiddos who might misbehave; luckily, they did not. The seats in this theater were less comfortable than at La Habra and Cerritos. They also did not recline, and I also noticed the headrests were movable. I arrived about a couple minutes before showtime, and the previews had already started. They went on for another ~25 minutes before the movie finally started. Like I said, the seats weren't too comfortable, and since there were only a couple of families in front of me, I just sat at four adjacent seats, changing seats every 20-30 minutes. One thing I noticed was that the cupholder for one seat had some trash from a previous movie showing. Luckily, it was just paper, but ugh! Clean the theater better, please?! Sound quality was pretty good, but the video actually froze for about 5-10 seconds twice in a span of 1-2 minutes. I almost thought that the movie would had to prematurely end because they couldn't get the movie to continue playing, but luckily, the movie finished without a hitch after the second hiccup. After the movie, I took a walk around the theater to look at all the various movie decor of upcoming movies or movies they are now showing. At the other end of the theater, I started smelling weed! I looked to my left and saw a Regal employee on a smoke break by the doorway with the door partially open! With plenty of children inside the theater?! Good thing the Paddington in Peru movie was at the other end of the theater. I wouldn't want to be smelling that stuff while trying to enjoy a movie! There's a pretty big arcade section in the middle between the hostess and concessions stands. The kiddos can run around with reckless abandon, and one of them *almost* hit me with a toy airplane. He wasn't even paying attention to his surroundings, so he definitely got a good talking to by his mother. Case in point, keep a watchful eye on the kids in the arcade section. This was my third visit to a Regal, and it's the worst one so far. I even went out of my way to see how this theater was, and needless to say, I'm definitely not doing that again. 2 stars overall. I'm glad I stopped by this theater, but I won't be returning even though I still have a handful of Premiere Movie Tickets left to use. read more

I know these three little Church girls. Since they were babies. They've literally grown up right in front of Me. Who says adults don't hang out with kids. I do all the time. One of them has finally graduated from high school ! So, as a special gift she requested to go to the movies with her best friend and I ! Needless to say, I felt very special. Such a special girls day. We got to the movies and I think I just forget how movie theaters are so grand. They're always really big huge buildings. They really are special. Our seats were comfortable. There's a huge mural above the concession counter. I was standing there for a while. Trying to figure out who the famous people were. The guy in the light blue jacket was the only one I couldn't figure out. Maybe. You can try. It was a great experience all around. Super cute movie. read more

Everything needs to be improved at this location mainly them cleaning the theater rooms, I paid almost $40 to take my daughter to watch the Megan 2.0 +$30 on popcorn candy and a ICEE, but I know the employees didn't even bother cleaning it before we went in it looks to me as if they pushed the trash back, the Cerritos location is a 10/10 South Gate regal 0/10 , don't waste your time going here SG REGAL . I would like to give this ZERO STARS. Definitely needs new Management! Last week, I visited the Regal cinema in South Gate with my family to watch Zootopia in 4D. We spent $150 on snacks and merchandise. During the movie, a staff member approached us, saying my niece couldn't stay due to her height, even though she rides Disneyland attractions. Despite explaining and asking for a refund, the manager, Nicole, refused, offering only a partial refund contingent on us returning to the theater. Her handling of the situation was poor and escalated tensions. Ultimately, we left dissatisfied, feeling our experience was unfairly ruined. I plan to contact corporate for a resolution. read more

Horrible service people act like they cannot see you to not help you. They manhandle your bags trying to look for snacks. They will have you walking around looking for their "manager" instead of them phoning in or looking for you. They sent us to the completely wrong screening then said they could not refund us for their mistake. first and foremost, I've been coming to the matinee showing and this Sunday when I went with my son to see Captain America. There was not enough lighting for me to go to the top level and I fell down. I am so sore so sore from the the fall, you need to take more extra precaution when coming to this happened to I completely should've talked to the manager. I'm 65 years old. I'm pretty good shape and my whole body is sore. Trying to get a hold of you on the phone and I was impossible. Normally I would give 2-star for this type of theater because everything feels very outdated from the concession stand to restroom, but I drove all the way here because of the following three reasons: (1) Price for matinee showing is one of the cheapest tickets I could find in the SGV (San Gabriel Valley) area. (2) I can preview the seating chart easily using the Fandango app. (3) This is the one of the emptiest theaters I could find for shows before 12 PM. It is a great theater for viewers who want to avoid crowd and get to watch the blockbuster movies on the opening weekend. I came here for both Spider-Man: No Way Home and Dr. Strange 2 before 12 PM on Saturday (opening weekend) and there were more 75% empty seats. In addition no one really checked my digital ticket for Dr. Strange 2. Bumping up to 3-star for being one of the more empty and cheap theaters in the SGV area. P.S. - Please note that each auditorium doesn't have a digital display so you can't tell which movie is currently showing. You will need to know auditorium number listed on your digital ticket ahead of time. read more

Paid around $27 to watch a live WWE event. The event started, some people started watching on their phones if they had the appropriate paid for app. 10 minutes went by, 20 minutes went by, still nothing on the movie screen. Several people had gone to ask what was going on and were told the manager was working on it. 30 minutes went by and no one from the theatre staff has come to say anything, apologize, explain what is going on, nothing! At 30 minute I also went to ask and was also told the same, the manager is working on it. 35 minutes are the event started it came on the screen. Management should have probably tested screening a live event before selling tickets. No one from the theatre ever came to say anything to those who purchased tickets. The threaten was empty at 11am when this event took place and was told by an employee that there were two managers available, maybe one could have come just to explain what was going on and apologize, offer a popcorn those those who had kids? Yay or nay? 0/2 Heck no. This was one of the worst movie theaters I've been to. Seats were small and uncomfortable, audio was terrible, and there was only one exit in the large room we were in, which made it so that people kept walking in front of the screen when seated on the opposite side of the room. Another thing that was very annoying was the audience. That's not really something the establishment has power over, but still very unpleasant. People kept arriving late and kept getting up throughout the movie, blocking the view. It was ridiculous. I think there were about 20 people in the room and there were about 40 or more instances of people getting up. We were watching a 4 hour film, but still. People were unnecessarily loud and distracting. One dude seated next to us was either on drugs or had a mental issue. Kept talking loudly to themselves and using their phone with a very bright screen. If you want to watch a movie uncomfortably with commentary provided by your friendly neighborhood crackheads, this is the spot for you! Expensive? Worth it? 1/1 Prices are about the same as everywhere else. Location 0/1 Terrible place for all the reasons above. Plan to return? 0/1 I doubt I'll ever come back willingly. read more

Also if you are Mexican and you only have a consular ID (matrícula) they will NOT serve you alcohol. Ironically they have the Mexican pyramid of Teotihuacán in their lobby lol. I've never experienced anything like this, even in the nice movie theaters. So apart from the service being mediocre, I arrived to my assigned seat and some random person was seated on my seat. I in came and one person asked to see inside my bag. I did admit nd said I had food and they said it wasn't allowed I did ask can they let it slide this once and they said their GENERAL MANAGER! Was working that night. So they asked if we wanted a refund or to switch the ticket to another time we chose another time. So they sent us to the back and I don't know what that person said over the radio before I walked to the back to switch our tickets but that manager came up to us so rudely and said if we arent letting them check our bags we have to leave. With attitude and all. But we never said anything about them not checking our bags we admitted what he had in our bags and they sent us to the counter to switch our times. We were totally cooperating. Then we came back an hour later for the movie. And the manager just has a nasty look. He has bad attitude. I never fought anything on bringing the food. But whatever the person said on the radio obviously lied and said we weren't letting them look in our bag. Doesn't even matter. They need new managing and new nicer people. Like I get it they probably deal with A-holes everyday but you gotta act how you want people to treat you. They walk and talk like they own the world. It just wasn't cool. read more

Visited on: 12/18/19 Movie Screening of: 1917 (scheduled to hit theaters December 25, 2019) I come to this theater often and this time was no different than normal. We were encouraged to arrive early and to line up outside. Line up started around 6:30pm; movie was scheduled to start around 7:30pm. The Movie 1917 was great! I didn't actually think I would like it; I'm not a war film kinda girl! This movie was shot beautifully and it takes the viewer on a journey with the films characters. The viewer will feel like you're watching Call of Duty on the BIG SCREEN! The movie draws the viewers right in! (Please see my small review attached). I gave this visit 4/5 due to the restrooms not being as clean as they could've been. The stall I went in didn't have tissue and the restroom overall had a bit of a stench. The theater should invest in some automatic air fresheners in the restrooms that spray fragrance on a set timer... just saying. read more

Even though this is not the nearest movie theater to me I like coming to this one because the tickets are cheaper and they have a parking lot that you do not need to pay for. And they also sell alcohol which is nice if your over 21. My only complaint would be that the lines for snacks is super long. You have to wait about 30 min to get your snacks, so just make sure you get there extra early before your money starts. They have other concession stands inside the theater but they only use the main one in the lobby, it would be faster if they opened the other ones. I have been coming here for years and will continue to be a loyal customer because I like their service. They also have a variety of showtimes for all the movies they release which is convenient. read more

I went to this theater because it showed a movie that I wanted to see that wasn't showing everywhere. Good theater but the workers just don't have the pep like the theater I normally go to, especially at the concessions. The workers there are slow and they look like they don't want to be there. I gave up on trying to just buy ice cream and went to my theater. On top of that, the movie didn't even start (no previews or anything). I had to have one of the employees get the manager to see whether they can find anyone to start the movie. Good thing I didn't pay for this as I'm a Regal Unlimited member. read more
