Parking was easy and the theatre was super clean. A little confusing at first because you go to the bar area to get your tickets scannes but that would save money since theres less workers. Went to watch mercy in 3d laser. The chairs were so comfortable and you can adjust it so you have a leg rest. There is also alot of space as well. Cocacola icee was on the left side. They didnt have any on the right. But they had it.

This AMC has always been my absolute favorite. I've been going here for about eight years, and I can't believe this is my first time writing a review. First off, the staff is always very nice. Never once have I ever ran into someone who has a bad attitude. Everyone's just super chill and welcoming. Just as a movie theater should be. And of course, I love the seats! They recline, so of course it's a plus. I also think they have a good manager schedule person. Because they know what movies are in demand, and what theaters to give the bigger theaters to, and to the smaller theaters too. And lastly, the bathrooms are always neat and clean! Lines move fast, clean location, friendly staff. What more can a customer ask for?! :)

What a disappointment. Never had this experience before. It was a waste of gas and time. Found out because I arrived 30 minutes before and parking lot was kinda empty. It wasn't just us, there were also a few other people upset outside the theater.

I usually patronize AMC Monterey Park. The reclining seats at AMC Montebello are infinitely better! It made for a pleasuring viewing experience. There's no stairs here compared to other theaters. I did notice a lot more hefty people here. Perhaps, there's a correlation there! Staff was friendly and helpful! There's a bar here too! Yay! Cheers for alcohol! The popcorn here is meh.. if I'm being completely honest. Might have to buy myself a coke to keep myself awake! That's how comfy I was! We will definitely see a movie here again soon!

If you miss a line in the game, you reset. You miss it on the track, you could die.

Ask the Community - AMC Montebello 10

    Do they have EV chargers?

I believe the closest one is at the gas station on Paramount & Montebello Bl.

Do you guys take cash? And do they take cash for the snacks too?

    Yes

Is the post of 2 months ago by owner still valid as if 2021 "Welcome Back to $5 Movie Treats"?

Which row is best for viewing?

For some theaters the F and G seats are usually in the middle of the theater if that's your preference. The D seating are the bottom row right before walking up steps if that's more why you're looking for. I think it depends on how close or far you…

Can I bring in my backpack? idc if they check it I just want to catch a movie tomorrow but it's right after my class and I don't have a car so I have nowhere to leave it.

You sure can! I'm in the same boat as you with classes and backpacks and I go there often. They never check my bag either and they're very accommodating to patrons. I hope you enjoy your movie, Julian!

Do you offer Spanish subtitles on any of your movies?

Unfortunately not. Spanish movies usually always have English subtitles. Theres a new app called Theatre Ears. Pick your theatre, movie and time and listen to the movie in your preferred language through headphones with your phone.

Do they check bags before going into the movie?

    Not really

    Do they do $5 tuesdays?

For the concession stand? Yes! Foe movie tickets it's $6 with AMC Stubs membership

Is there a surcharge for green or black tickets?

Green passes cannot be used for anything Disney owned (Marvel, Star Wars, Fox, etc) Black passes are good for any movie and both Green and Black passes have a $4 surcharge for 3D movies.

This spot opened about a year ago, and has a cool speakeasy style entrance at the Highland Park Bowl bowling alley. It is a small space, and I would highly recommend making a reservation on Resy. You have 90 minutes to drink and dine. I parked behind the bowling alley where there is a medium sized pay parking lot. Park in a space, remember your space number painted on the ground, and go to the pay station at the end of the lot. I found the parking machine to be extremely finicky as did other people. After ten minutes of failure, I ended up moving my car to another space, and then it worked. This has nothing to do with the Lucky Tiki, but FYI if you park there. We walked around to the front of the bowling alley, and checked in. Seating options include at the bar, tiki hut booths, and high top tables. The décor inside is a tiki lovers paradise. The room has a high ceiling with many tiki lamps, floats, puffer fish, tiki huts, thatch, ropes, barrels, netting, carvings, a hanging canoe, and a large tiki right in the middle of the space. In addition to the great décor, when you order certain drinks, special effects are triggered. There was also great tiki music playing all evening. We sat at the bar since we always enjoy talking to the bartenders. We actually ran into Skipper Christian in the parking lot on the way in, and he ended up being our main bartender, with Nick and Jo also working behind the bar. We put in a food order right away. The chicken potstickers ($12) came with five tasty bites, and the garlic teriyaki dipping sauce was good. We also had the giant pretzel ($16) which comes with mustard, beer cheese, and ranch sauces. This was excellent, and the perfect filling snack before a bunch of drinks. My first drink was the Siren's Song (Flor de Cana Eco rum, lemon juice, cassis, Oloroso sherry, apricot foam topper, $19). This drink is served in a great mermaid with skull mug and triggers special sound effects and bubbles fill the air. Those bubbles on top of the drink had a great light citrusy apricot flavor, probably the best flavored bubbles I've ever had. The drink itself was very good and balanced with some complexity. She wasn't sure what to order at first, and Christian asked her what flavors she liked. He ended up making a spin on a Tradewinds with some mango and pineapple to go along with the apricot and coconut. It was nicely balanced and not too sweet, even with all that fruit in there. My second drink was the Sun of Suns (Tierra de Acre mezcal, coconut cream, Giffard mango liqueur, pineapple juice, lime juice, $17). This was coconut and pineapple forward with some good smokiness in the background. Her second drink was the Whatever Floats Your Boat (Ford's gin, lemon juice, velvet falernum, orgeat, passion fruit syrup, guava soda, topped with hazelnut passion fruit foam, $19). It is served in a cool boat mug, and triggers thunder sound effects and lighted mechanical Polynesian tiki characters paddling a canoe over the bar. This was another good balanced drink. It was a little gin forward and the passion fruit popped out, maybe from being both in the drink and the foam top. That creamy hazelnut passion fruit form on top is delicious. I'd happily have a glass of that on its own. We were still a little hungry so we ordered the Hawaiian pizza (marinara, diced pepperoni, red onion, pineapple chunks, hot capicola ham, $16). It was another good tasting, perfectly sized snack, and the crust was light and airy. We were already fifteen minutes over our time limit, but we got the green light to stay longer to order a third drink to share. We ordered the Tiki Diablo (Flor de Cana Eco rum, Worthy Park 109 rum, Alma Tepecha chile liqueur, orange juice, lime juice, mango syrup, guava soda, $24). This drink serves two people, is served in a cool volcano bowl with glowing red lava around it, and comes with a fire show. Unfortunately, right after it was served, the host came over and said we were over our time and had to leave shortly. Christian made up for it by giving us two tall pours to go enjoy in the bowling alley bar area which was fine. We were happy we got some extra time inside. The drink was also very good, balanced with a little complexity. We had a great time. There is so much great décor to look at. The drinks and food were very good, and some of the the drink presentations and special effects were the icing on the cake. All of the bartenders were very friendly and a lot of fun. We purchased up a few zombie glasses to take home as a souvenir. I'd definitely recommend visiting the Lucky Tiki in Highland Park!

I used to have a friend who took me here for a Halloween party that pulsed high to the rhythm of…read morefun. Yesterday, I went here again, not knowing I was going back to the Halloween stomping grounds I once monster mashed in. This visit was more fun as I felt like I had partied in a club nestled in the after-life word that Coco invited us to imagine because I attended El Velorio, here. El Velorio is a celebration of Mexican culture, specifically the art and step of Dia De Los Muertos. I arrived 30 minutes early, to Quiet Cannon (where club Lit sits) and paid 20 dollars for parking. Once I entered, the club space was dead. There were a few people here and there, I bought the tickets, but did not really understood what I signed up for. I am the type of person who sees something advertise gets tickets and then sees how the night will go. I am open to opportunity and engage with chance when it comes. A bit after the 7 the show began. The opening number was a dance by Aztec dancers, scored by a beating drum. The dancers were in full custom, feathers and all. Later in the evening, as I danced, I felt a caress on my neck that felt strange, not good nor bad. It felt like a tickle and slither, like a playful snake stretching on my neck to find its comfort spot. I turned and it was a black feather from a Calavera custom. My mind was arrested when I saw these performers dance. It was beautiful in a quiet way. I wanted to know what the dance called for? Saying that there dance called for rain would be reductive, but, I had no other thoughts to conclude. I hope that their dance called for something good that every person in Lit could carry for a better tomorrow. After the Aztec dancers came an all girl Mariachi group. I did not get their names, I mean no disrespect, there was simply a lot going on. I am not a Mariachi fan, but this Mariachi group was innovative, not only because they were an all female ensemble but because they sang melodies I could recognize. Forever, I will carry the memory of an all female Mariachi group singing 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun' on a night where a party grooved to Mexican Culture, which now is also part of American Culture. One of the staff members of club lit supported the group by placing a microphone near the instrument of the musicians. Now the melody of the cello, could be heard better. It was a moment that made the night more magical because it was a human to human moment scored by classical notes. After the Mariachi I viewed a small gallery of art. It had some standout pieces but on the whole the art gallery was a good attempt. There was this picture (that I clipped and can be found in the picture section) of young girl with flowing hair, the color of different shades of water. The moon was full and high above her. Her eyes were light blue, her dress translucent and light gray that was somehow also blue and also somehow the wind of the night wrapping her. The title of the piece was unfinished return. I felt like I saw the Llorona healed. Like she was no longer a spirit of pain, longing for her lost children. She was a spirit of rebirth that offered waters to wash pain away. So her lament turned into splashes of redemption. See her eyes and know the woe you carry become part of water, in its different forms, and for a moment know a pause from pain. One of my favorite parts, of course, was La Catrinas. The women in Calavera paint, with hoop dressed that are full of theatrical flowers, and other macabre details that in sum make the woman look like she got a full makeover for her day of death. My favorite Catrina was the one that was dressed in a wedding dress that was in full black, with details, like a headpiece that showcased a studded skull. Her makeup was on point, it almost made me forget that I was looking at a human dressed appropriately for spectacle. I zoomed in on her makeup, when she was not looking, and, in my opinion, the resulting picture looks like a portrait. I view it and I feel a small chill, not because I am an artist but because I helped immortalize her efforts that spoke of hours of intricate makeup work. After all the visual experiences, I began to danced. I felt great joy jiving to a nearly full dance floor full of people some dressed as Catrinas. At one point, the song 'Oye Mi Amor' blasted. And a Catrina in full garb and makeup danced on the stage, leading us in movement. We were not dong Zumba, but still we sweated, laughed and groove to the rhythm of Latin flavor. I could not help feel alive, and fully in the moment, which can be a a treasure for many who spend too much time in their heads. This place offers substantial bump and grid, and spectacle. I would definitely return to this place, especially when it is associated to a theme night.

You can tell they actually care about the experience, not just throwing a playlist together. Now let's talk about the drinks... because that's really where they shine. Every cocktail feels intentional and crafted with care. You can taste the quality immediately--nothing watered down, nothing basic. They have a really cool mix of classic cocktails and modern twists, and even the familiar drinks feel elevated. It's the kind of place where you want to try something new every round because you trust the bartenders know exactly what they're doing. Service was on point too.
