Absolutely love this place. I've watched so many great movies here, from Spider-Man to Deadpool, and every visit has been a great experience. There's something special about watching movies at a drive in that regular theaters just can't match. The area itself is nice and spacious, and one of my favorite things is opening up the back of a large suburban car, setting up blankets, and getting super cozy while watching the screen. It feels relaxed, fun, and perfect for spending time with friends or family. The cafeteria is another big plus. The food is surprisingly good and very affordable, which makes it easy to grab snacks or meals without overspending. It definitely satisfies cravings and adds to the overall experience. 4.5 stars My husband and I ($26 for the two of us) went and watched Five Nights at Freddy's 2 movie here and I would like to say it was a fun experience for the most part. We enjoyed watching the movie and not bothering anyone else with our little one too much(under a year old). I would like to say that it was our first time here and though we made it on time for our movie when I tried calling ahead 10 minutes to show time to see if (ex) a 7:30 show time is a hard start to a movie or there's trailers no one was there to answer the phone and I was already going to run 10 minutes late to my movie, I tried 3+ times. I'm the type of person who hates missing anything in a movie as it ruins the experience for me. I really wish that they had someone to watch the phone incase someone else had those kinds of questions. I will say for anyone wondering as of right now I don't THINK a (ex) 7:30 show starts exactly at 7:30 but more like 7:40. I would have to come again to see. The audio for the movie was great and the only "glitches" we had was when my car fully turned off every so often or Siri heard her name when no one spoke it (personal phone glitch). The visual on the screen was good too for the most part but might have been better if my windows weren't so bad. At the snack stand they had hotdogs, popcorn, some good selection of ice cream etc. , I wish I got the menus picture. I got myself a bottle of soda and two pizza slices. The pizza wasn't great but it was edible at least. I will say it's a great thing to that at the snack stand they have the option for you to buy a radio so you don't have to use your cars battery. But if your car does die, like someone's did, they are able to jump it for you. I would say one of the funnest parts, to an animal lover like me, was the fact they have cats that roam the theaters parking lot/outdoor area. It was mine and my family's first time here and we absolutely loved the experience. We watched hoppers and it was a cute movie. My daughter loved it. I love that we can bring our own snacks/food. They do have a snack station too which is awesome, unfortunately we didn't check it out. The ticket print out lets us know what radio station to tune into so we can hear audio. It was a little confusing exiting since it's just a big open lot but we figured it out lol. We will definitely be coming back for another movie. read more

Oh how I love the drive ins! For $14 this is still a steal of a deal compared to the typical theater experience. It's so fun to get all cozy and spread out in the car (or BYO chairs for outdoor seating if you prefer). Movie quality: 5/5. The audio quality is crystal clear with no glitches. The picture was pretty clear too. Food quality: 3/5. It's so hit or miss here. The loaded nachos were hella good (love the extra jalapeños on the side) and stacked with carne asada and beans but the popcorn was awful. It was stale, cold, and tasted like cleaning product which I guess is a sign of hygiene but not exactly something I want my popcorn to taste like. I had the same issue with the burrito but my husband didn't notice it (maybe I just have extra sensitive taste buds). Huge miss for me on the food this time, I think I'll bring my own next time which is honestly a huge plus about the drive ins anyway. read more

I kept hearing of the drive-in theaters nearby and we thought it may be fun to make a date night of it. It was about a hour drive for us and we got there just as about the movie was about to start. Getting tickets (in person only, not online?) and navigating what screen to go to was a bit vague in instructions given and hardly staff was present. When they were, they were kind and redirected us. We had to go through the channels a bit until we found the station needed too. Hopefully they can post that info somewhere on a sign?! :) The elephant ear and snacks were not bad and they make it per order which was different and met the throwback vibe of a drive-in. read more

Can't wait to come back. My boyfriend and I came to watch Zootopia 2 and had a blast. Would recommend stopping somewhere prior to pick up dinner and a snack! When you get to the sign, you want to go towards the right where they will have the booths. The cashier that got us tickets wasn't super friendly, but other than that we had a great experience. If you want a good spot, you might want to head there 20-30 minutes early. Some of the bigger cars may get in your view otherwise. read more

Wow!! First time at a drive in movie theatre in about 25 years and we had an amazing experience!! We saw Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and had a blast. The staff makes the difference and the staff on duty on 9/22/24 was on point. Everyone we encountered was polite and helpful. The crew at the snack bar were very friendly and even gave us a churro to enjoy. Plenty of parking options to get a good view of the movie. The movie and sound were great and we experienced no issues. The restrooms were clean as was the parking lot. We went on a Sunday evening, so I'm sure it can get crowded. But we got there early and actually ended up being the first car in line. Pricing for the entrance was reasonable as was the snack bar. We'll definitely make this a regular thing. read more

Highly recommend this drive in if you want to go back in time . The ambience is a throwback to the 80s. Customer service is friendly not too many people work there but it's a drive-in theater so it's pretty much what you would expect. Prices are super cheap and snacks are cheap as well. After doing a lot of research, I finally got the courage to go but boy am I glad I read up on the rules and FAQ. I arrived super early, not sure how long it would take to get situated. I got my ticket and was told to park behind the cones if I wanted to open my trunk. But since I was the first one there, I wasn't sure which cones they were referring to, so I parked behind these white cones I saw... which I later realized wasn't the correct cones they referenced when I saw all the other cars who opened their trunks in the last two rows... so I guess some sort of clear distinguishment would be great for a newbie. The convenience store though - so surprised they had super fries and super hot dogs so of course, I had to order both and a small popcorn. The food was delicious! I don't think I can ever go back to having boring nachos and hot dogs at a regular movie theater now. Finally when the movie did start, I turned on my radio. But I wasn't sure if I wasn't tuned into the correct station while the previews were going on. Eventually, I figured it out. Overall, this was such a fun activity and cannot wait to come back, get cozy, watch a movie and have yummy food with it! read more

Few and far inbetween drive in theaters exist anymore! This is the closest drive in theater to Orange County, and it's worth the drive once in awhile! You cannot buy tickets preemptively, it has to be at the door and you can get in about 2 hours before the movie starts. The website has a list of do's and Dont's to review, and the movies that will be showing are updated on the website every Wednesday to help you plan ahead. It does get cold at night even in the summer, so bring a blanket if you're watching in the back of a pickup. Picnic your snacks and dinner, the movies start at sundown! There's a decent amount of space to watch, and the first two rows are reserved for the sedan cars. I should also note that there are white and yellow lines on the pavement, the WHITE lines are the parking spots to line up your car for viewing, and there are two rows per aisle. If you are in the front row parked in your white lined spot, the white lines for the spot behind you will be angled accordingly to still view the screen from behind your car. It might not make sense right now while reading this without seeing it in person but you'll thank me later. Ignore the yellow lines as that's for a vendor when they utilize the spaces during the day. Highly recommend this for kids that haven't been to a normal theater yet. They can watch from the car and even if they are tired, they can fall asleep in the car as needed. read more

It was our first time when we came a couple nights ago and I must say that it was a cool experience. Although it was difficult hearing the movie, I really enjoyed chilling in my car with munchies watching from afar. There were moments that were intimate and laughter of joy. I also forgot to add that you can tune in to the radio to listen the movie's audio through the car so you don't have to listen to it outside. We watched Imaginary and I rate it a 5/10. I kinda expected the PG-13 horror movie to not be scary at all. Regardless, would come back again for a better movie! read more

The prices have gone up for both adults, children, and instead of 2 movies for 1, you now have to go back out and pay again to be let back inside. Grown adults still can't help but to smoke weed and cigarettes during a CHILDREN'S movie, some even giving their own children second hand smoke (yes, you, blondie with the giant truck and the 2 kids). If you don't care about your health, or your children's health, that's on you, but we care about ours. We shouldn't have to breathe cigarette smoke like it's not 2026, and we don't already know how bad it is for you and others. I guess that's why they call it an addiction since waiting for less than 2 hours was probably giving you the shakes. Anyway, the bathrooms still remain clean, the movies are still good, but if they're going to charge more, at least make sure we're not getting second hand smoke while we watch the movies. Also, make sure to show up early to get a good spot, and don't be a the butt with a suv or bigger that clearly sees people behind them but decides to park and block their view because they got there late. read more

We're located in central LA, so Paramount was a bit of drive for us, but it's the only drive-in theater still operating outside of the summer months. You can't buy tickets online which sucks. It's 2025, people!!!! I wanted to make sure we were able to get in because we'd be driving for an hour to get there so we arrived at 6:20pm for the 7:30pm showing. There was already a line waiting by the time we arrived. The website says they open an hour prior to the movie starting, but they didn't open up the booths until about 6:50pm. I feel like the staff could've been more clear about where to park and how to park. The truck in front of us didn't know they were supposed to be on the mound so they were blocking our view. We ended up moving, but there was staff around and they didn't inform them. My car is only 3 years old, but my battery died. Thankfully, they come around with a truck and jump start your car after everyone leaves. Smart and handy of them. TIP: The address entered in Google maps doesn't take you the entrance. When we got there, we had to follow the cones to find the entrance. read more

Super disappointed drove over an hour with my newborn son and husband to meet with friends, only to get told as soon as we parked that the projectors wouldn't be working and the movie wouldn't be showing, all they offered was to get a refund and to go home. We kept hearing from different staff members that we can watch the other screen and get a refund of tickets for another day to watch the movie we chose but ended up coming to the front only to get told that was false information, Really disappointed in the fact i wasted gas and was told misinformation from different staff members. It's been a while but I'm still very happy and content with this drive-in location. What I've learned on my most recent visit is that when school is out, it can get packed!!! I've never drove in and had to wait in a long line. One of the employees by the name of Selma is no joke. She means business. I thought I was going to have to wait in line. That line was moving so fast that it didn't feel like one. My mom and I wanted to go see Despicable Me 4. Selma was moving both sides of her line very quickly. Fun experience but I'm surprised no one has commented on the poor drive in etiquette a lot of the other guests have. Forgetting to turn their cars lights off, continuously flashing the screen with their beams, constantly turning their noisy cars on and off, random honking and car alarms going off, lots of disruptive late arrivals, cars squeezing into tiny spots essentially blocking you in just so they can get a good view too (despite arriving late). Maybe only an issue for popular movies. read more

The only downside I the price, since $13/person to sit in your own car seems a bit steep, as they're simply providing the movie and nothing else. I came here to watch the 50th anniversary of Jaws and I had an amazing time. You're allowed to have a hatchback open as long as you're not parked in the first 3 rows. Everything is a super simple process, but I would be careful about your car battery dying while watching. They have food here and a large variety of things to eat. D9 - Paramount Drive In Theaters Ah, the nostalgic feel of the drive in. Most kids nowadays will never know the coolness of the drive-in movie theater. I have fond memories with friends and family of piling into the truck and/or station wagon and going to the drive-in. Drive ins are just great! Growing up and going to the drive in was something I really looked forward to. We would either pack our on food and snacks or purchase something from the over priced snack bar. Good times, great memories! AR & I arrived before 6pm, the drive-in had not opened yet. I wasn't sure how long it would take to get to the Paramount Drive In Theaters so I made sure we had plenty of time to get there in case we hit unexpected traffic. We made good time arriving a little after 5:30pm. I drove around the block to get n idea of what was nearby for future reference. (i.e. - Restaurants) When the lights for the pay booths went on, I pulled up to the line. It was about 5:45pm. It gave me time to ask the attendant and ask her about how it all worked. It was all very straight forward. The Paramount Drive In Theaters website has a very comprehensive list of rules; the do's and dont's while at the drive in. According to the website rules, twine is available if your hatchback needs to be secured down. We listened to the film's audio through the car's stereo system. We just had such a great experience here tonight. Came to watch Venom as first timers and it was a smooth process from beginning to end. We paid- $10/ adult. Parked- plenty of parking and employees to help. We walked to order food and use the restrooms. The restrooms are kept up and it's much better food than your typical movie theatre. The prices are great too! The movie was great and everyone there seemed to follow all the rules. We had a great time and will probably return soon. I highly recommend this drive in. Throwback Time!!! Remember Drive-In Movie Theaters? And no...I don't mean those inflatable pop-ups that popped up all over the place when the pandemic first hit in 2020...I'm talking about the real deal, stand alone, old-school Drive-In Movie Theaters from yesteryear. Well...guess what, y'all? Recently, I heard about an actual stand-alone Drive-In Movie Theater still in operation in the greater Los Angeles area! Here's the back-story: A former chemist from New York (Joseph Bianchi) wanted to own a "piece of Hollywood," so he purchased a corn field in Paramount, California, and eventually transformed the corn field into "Paramount Drive-In Theaters" in 1948. After enjoying all the "hey day" of the Drive-In Movie era, Paramount sadly closed down in 1992. In 2014, however, the son of the original founder decided to take a chance & resurrected the 800-car dual screen theater for a whole new generation of movie-goers to enjoy. Still skeptical & wondering if this would probably just be a seedy joint playing some old flicks, curiosity got the best of us so we decided to go ahead, take a chance, & check it out. So...off we went on a mini-road-trip from OC to Paramount, California! Upon arrival, we saw just how easy it is to enjoy a nostalgic evening at the Drive-In: 1. Tickets aren't sold online nor are they available for advance purchase...this is old-school, remember? Since they're only sold at the box office on a first-come-first-serve basis, be sure to arrive about a half-hour before show time. Admission is $14.00/per adult, $7.00 for children ages 5-8, & free for children under the age of 5. 2. Follow the signs & staff directing you, pick your spot, & park! Tune-in to the designated FM radio station indicated on your ticket stub, & enjoy the movie in the safety & comfort of your own vehicle! 3. The on-site Snack Bars feature a nice variety of snacks (e.g., popcorn, hot dogs, candy, pretzels, pizza, soft drinks, nachos, funnel cake, etc.) available for purchase. They even sell the old school hard-to-find "Slush Puppies"!!! I couldn't resist the "Slush Puppies," but other than that, we preferred bringing our own gourmet snacks to elevate our experience a little...just get creative! :) Downsides: 1. During one of our visits, a couple of movie-goers failed to turn off their headlights, which made the screen not show quite as well. The good news: fellow movie-goers (& security) help them to learn quickly what NOT to do. 2. Some movie-goers in large SUVs/trucks ignore the rule that the first few front rows are for sports cars/sedans ONLY. Unfortunately, some of the drivers of these large SUVs/trucks back their vehicles in, open the liftbacks/trunks, & block the views of other movie goers in sports cars/sedans. The rule should have been enforced a little better than it was to help ensure that everyone enjoys the show. Remember: A little courtesy goes a long way, but if you get there early to get a good spot you should be OK. Although it's not the same as going to the high-end indoor movie theaters I would usually visit during pre-pandemic times, Paramount Drive-In Theater is a clean, safe, well-staffed, family-friendly alternative way to enjoy a movie. And...guess what!?!? They actually feature First-Run/New Release movies on two (2) 75 foot bright screens showing digitally projected movies! Overall, we enjoyed our first experience so much, that we returned again the next week, & look forward to enjoying the Drive-In again! It's a great option for those who are immune-compromised & unable to visit a traditional crowded indoor movie theater...especially during these crazy times.
