Throwback to the late 80's early 90's drive in theater. Easy to get there right off the highway. You can have your radio tuned to the movie, no clunky speaker boxes.

I love coming here.I have been coming here for some time now. They have a concession stand/restaurant.And sometimes they have vendors selling stuff outside the restaurant/concession stand.(elote, aguas ect). The employees are friendly as well.

I kept hearing of the drive-in theaters nearby and we thought it may be fun to make a date night of it. It was about a hour drive for us and we got there just as about the movie was about to start. Getting tickets (in person only, not online?) and navigating what screen to go to was a bit vague in instructions given and hardly staff was present. When they were, they were kind and redirected us. We had to go through the channels a bit until we found the station needed too. Hopefully they can post that info somewhere on a sign?! :) The elephant ear and snacks were not bad and they make it per order which was different and met the throwback vibe of a drive-in.

Wow!! First time at a drive in movie theatre in about 25 years and we had an amazing experience!! We saw Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and had a blast. The staff makes the difference and the staff on duty on 9/22/24 was on point. Everyone we encountered was polite and helpful. The crew at the snack bar were very friendly and even gave us a churro to enjoy. Plenty of parking options to get a good view of the movie. The movie and sound were great and we experienced no issues. The restrooms were clean as was the parking lot. We went on a Sunday evening, so I'm sure it can get crowded. But we got there early and actually ended up being the first car in line. Pricing for the entrance was reasonable as was the snack bar. We'll definitely make this a regular thing.

Few and far inbetween drive in theaters exist anymore! This is the closest drive in theater to Orange County, and it's worth the drive once in awhile! You cannot buy tickets preemptively, it has to be at the door and you can get in about 2 hours before the movie starts. The website has a list of do's and Dont's to review, and the movies that will be showing are updated on the website every Wednesday to help you plan ahead. It does get cold at night even in the summer, so bring a blanket if you're watching in the back of a pickup. Picnic your snacks and dinner, the movies start at sundown! There's a decent amount of space to watch, and the first two rows are reserved for the sedan cars. I should also note that there are white and yellow lines on the pavement, the WHITE lines are the parking spots to line up your car for viewing, and there are two rows per aisle. If you are in the front row parked in your white lined spot, the white lines for the spot behind you will be angled accordingly to still view the screen from behind your car. It might not make sense right now while reading this without seeing it in person but you'll thank me later. Ignore the yellow lines as that's for a vendor when they utilize the spaces during the day. Highly recommend this for kids that haven't been to a normal theater yet. They can watch from the car and even if they are tired, they can fall asleep in the car as needed.

So glad there is still a drive in nearby and they're open every day. Discount rates during the weekdays. Not crowded at all on a Monday and there's a double feature if you wanna stay late. They have a small snack bar, restrooms, and a resident black cat. ‍ The employees are friendly, great service. There's two screens/lots. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because it could use a little refresh, but otherwise it's a perfectly great experience.

It was our first time when we came a couple nights ago and I must say that it was a cool experience. Although it was difficult hearing the movie, I really enjoyed chilling in my car with munchies watching from afar. There were moments that were intimate and laughter of joy. I also forgot to add that you can tune in to the radio to listen the movie's audio through the car so you don't have to listen to it outside. We watched Imaginary and I rate it a 5/10. I kinda expected the PG-13 horror movie to not be scary at all. Regardless, would come back again for a better movie!

Ask the Community - Paramount Drive In Theaters

How far in advance did you have to get in line to get a ticket for the movie?

If you want a really good spot then definitely get there at least an hour ahead of time. maybe 2 depending on how long the lines are whichever night you go.

Should we allowed to bring outside food and drinks or not?

Yes. We bring pizza and drinks all the time.

    How much for a family?

Hi their... well it was Originally $8 Now it's $13 .... Depends on the movie and night. Not sure the price for kids.

    Are dogs allowed?

Just got off the phone on 9/4/2024 and I was told it's fine BUT animals have to stay in the car at all times. There's no pee breaks for puppy, and you can't leave and come back, so you should plot your theater trip well.

Are they selling any food inside? Last time we had gone to check they were closed.

I went last month and kitchen was fully open. I'm sure kitchen availability depends on traffic too. Best to just call them ahead to confirm if you plan on getting food there.

Are they asking for the vaccination card?

    No. 1) you're outdoors. 2) you're 6' apart and 3) you're in your car.

Are most of the people well behave like a responsible adults and respect their neighbors next to you?

For the most part most definitely, what I like mostly is that they have more staff walking throughout movie making sure things are as they should be. If something arises like folks having lights on staff has put an end to that in my presence.

Do they charge per vehicle as well, or just persons? Can people see out of the backseat (2002 Toyota Avalon)? Can we bring pre-cooked outside food?

You can bring food in , or buy food they have available. They charge per person at drive in $10.00 a movie I'm sure they can see the movie however not sure what there view would look like. No one is allowed to being chairs or to sit outside of… Read more

    Do they take debit cards?

    Yes they do .

Can we leave our car running while watching the movie or should we try and find a little radio?

A battery powered radio is recommended. I have noticed some posts with electrical connections in the parking lot but I am not sure if they work. lol There are people who run their cars but most seem to stay away from the rest of the cars due to the… Read more

It says you can't sit outside your vehicle due to covid, does this mean like including the bed of your truck or just in lawn chairs outside?

At this point you may sit outside your car in any form as long as you don't impose on anyone else's experience.

What time do they start letting cars in prior to the movie starting?

We got there around 6:30 p.m. and there was a line already and cars parked inside.

    Do they take Apple Pay.?

    Idk

Are they open when it rains?

Open 365 days out of the year rain or shine

Do they allow pets like our dog?

Yes they do. The ticket guy said you can't walk the dog around but they're fine In your car.

Whats the best time to arrive for the second show (starts about 10:30p)?

Whenever a movie plays always consider getting there at least 30 min early.

How early before the showing should I go?

At the minimum an hour before the showtime. They open an hour prior anyway but there will be a line of cars waiting to get in so I'd say 1.5 hours prior to be on the safe side.

Do people and are they allowed to smoke in their cars during the movie?

Can I have the hatch open to lay in the back of my suv without blocking other people's views?

Yes!! Some people have done that 😬

Are weekdays just as crowded as weekends?

I've gone twice on weekdays pretty recently and there were plenty of cars, but there was no wait to get in and it was easy to find a spot.

Friday the 13th found us sitting on graves while watching Rocky Horror on a large inflated screen while the Long Beach Art Theatre cast performed along with movie. Yes, there was literally dancing on graves going on here. The gravestones were interesting to read while we waited for the performance to start. Most of them were from a hundred years ago! The doors opened at 6:30 and the performance and movie started at 9, giving the audience time to enjoy a picnic or visit the food trucks parked in the graveyard. (Now that's a phrase I never thought I would write.) Four food trucks were there next to the port-a-potties. I didn't see anything saying that you could or couldn't bring alcohol, but a lot of people had alcohol out in the open, so I guess it's okay. Our neighbors even popped a bottle of champagne. Some tips for movie night: Come early if you want good parking. Late comers have to park across the street. Drive a small car if you can. The graveyard driveway is pretty narrow. It got pretty chilly in the later hours, so I suggest bringing jackets/blankets. Bring a low back chair,as taller chairs need to go to the back or side. Future films include: June 27: Pink Floyd The Wall July 11: Pulp Fiction July 25: Psycho August 8: Fight Club August 22: Donnie Darko September 5: The Shining Thanks to Yelp OC for the tickets!

I remember, vaguely in detail, but clearly in broadness, that I saw an episode of Reading Rainbow…read more In this episode the main character goes to a swap meet and is inspired by a book to view a trip to the swap meet as an opportunity to discover treasure. I did not go with a child's optimism to the Roadium, but I did hope to find oddities to engage my mind, trinkets to admire and imagine about, and in general find something that would be right for me at a bargain price. And the Roadium on a Sunday, provided me the opportunity to find all the previously mentioned items and things, plus it also help me get steps in, in a slow pace, while I absorbed the sun's Vitamin D. I am surprised to say this, like super surprised, but the item that most caught- really arrested- my attention was a picture that centered the country's current sitting president: Trump. In the picture, Trump has his head down, eyes closed, hands and fingers interlocked, and he seems to have a face of meditation, maybe receiving peace and/or knowledge. And behind stand a variety of historical and political powerhouses of the past, like Nixon, Reagan, Washington, Lincoln, and others that I could not recognize to name with confidence. However, all had their eyes closed, and had an aura of tranquility that also carried palpable notes of worry. What struck me the most is that the group, in tense serenity, included men and women of color. It is important to note that I clipped the picture, to give the reader or viewer the opportunity to collect their own thoughts and land their own interpretation. That got heavy. I also clipped a picture of quinceneras. One was dressed in Cinderella blue with a carriage, horse, and carriage handers were in the background, I thought it was A.I. generated but perhaps some people do have quinces like that, in fact I know they do, I used to wacth my Super Sweet Sixteen on MTV. Getting inside the Roadium is hard on a Sunday. But apparently worst on others day because the Roadium has different vendors on different days and each attracts a different type of crowd. For instance, on the firstMonday of the month vendors from the Rose Bowl Flea Market come. Please know that I am recycling information that was provided to me by one of the vendors. Research, please to verify accuracy. However, she also explained that on Mondays, when the Vintage Vendors come, parking becomes nearly imposible to find, even on the street. On this day, it cost 5 dollars, the cashiers only accept cash, The place has trinkets, food, and finds, seriously, it is a cool walk to see, touch, and get lost, if that is something one can do- shop vendors with nothing you want to buy, but still find meaning in the seeing and touching. I had peanuts on this day, but they were special because they were freshly toasted. Like I got a few to try (both extra toasted and not so toasted) and they were still warmed from the machine that toasted them. The touch of a warm shell was enough for me to be impressed but the freshness was key. This vendor explains that sometimes the peanuts in the store are 10 days old, after they were first roasted. Again do research. I saw micro Mexican candy stores with some of the candy that really communicates non-tourist streets of Oaxaca. I also bought three shirts. One was 8, two other ones were three dollars, and I feel like they were honest finds. I took a video of a barbie like doll, not barbie, using a Segway, which I thought was a wink to the modern that made sense yet never seen. I also saw a Spiderman Halloween shirt. And I thought how weird. It was him siting Spidey like, and he was pumpkin orange with bats behind him. It was juvenile because it was Disney product from theri Halloween bash time. So this place does have what was one precious yet never bought. I can see how someone might get something today to use at another day, or simply, be creative and DIY stuff from the stuff they found here.

I used to also sell here when I was younger and helped my mom with her clothing business and that was always a good time. It is very professional and very organized at this swap meet. They keep it well up and clean and very structured throughout the parking. On the weekend Saturday and Sunday is five dollars and during the week is cheaper so I recommend coming during a week if you can. I always come here to get some of my jeans. They have the most cutest, unique jeans that I ever saw. They also have all the stuff you need from plates, Clorox wipes, Lysol, and so much more. The deals here are very good. They also sell a lot of roasted peanuts that's freshly made and they have a lot of good food stands as well. The only thing is that the parking can be a little crazy, but other than that, this is a really good outdoor spot meet and I love to come here to grab some cute things for reasonable deals. It's pretty big and I will maybe be roughly around 10 to 12 aisles full of everything you need. -Marshay D.
