So make sure you have cash for tickets. We came to see Mortal Kombat II. Which was amazing. I never saw the first movie. But you don't have to have seen the first to follow this movie. One reason I wanted to see this movie is Mortal Kombat II is my favorite video game (SNES) version of the MK video games. The best place to see an action movie is on the massive drive-in theater movie screen. Not Imax, etc. So we went here. Another great thing about drive in theaters is you can bring your own food and you can have privacy with your date inside your vehicle, if you know what I mean . Just have privacy glass. Because a family of kids can be parked next to your vehicle. If you want, you can bring chairs and sit outside your vehicle and watch. Which is also a great choice. Especially if you have kids. They will love sitting outside. If you do sit outside, bring a coat, blanket, etc. It gets cold at night. The concession is cheap af and not like walk in movie theater prices. For example, their large popcorn is huge. Yet its only $10 with taxes. We got ours with extra butter. They offer a lot of other good stuff too at great prices. But we only wanted warm popcorn with extra butter. I saw some raggedy ATM machines in there. Not sure if concession got them there so you can use cash to buy food. But I didn't ask as I already had some cash on me to buy popcorn. So make sure you bring cash for concession as well. Make sure you vehicle radio can tune to 90.1 FM and you can leave it on without it draining your battery and without parking/headlights being activated. It drives us movie goers crazy when some foolish person will turn on their headlights while everyone else is trying to enjoy the film. Also, if you need a radio for showing, you can buy one from them for $20 at concession. Great experience here. I love this place. Like I said, I havent been here in like 6 years. Last time I was here, one ticket paid for double feature. Which was a steal. Because after Mortal Kombat II, I was looking forward to seeing Michael again. Which we already saw at a walk in theater. But we were ready to see it again on the biggest screen ever. They dont do double features anymore. So if the website shows two movies, dont misread like I did. I've recently started having lunch here and the menudo is delicious as well as the grilled food plates. They have a big grill up front where they cook the food and it smells sooo good, you can't miss the place. This swap meet is pretty big, lots of stand and aisles to walk through. I bring a cart with me because I know I'm going to find lots of items here and it helps to have something to carry it all. The live music is a nice addition to this place, it comes in handy to go take a seat if you get tired of walking around and want to take a break. We politely explained the issue to the manager and asked if we could either move to different seats -- even less expensive ones -- or receive some type of accommodation such as passes for another movie. Unfortunately, the manager refused to help in any way and would not issue a refund, exchange, or even offer courtesy tickets. For a theater that markets itself as a luxury experience and charges premium prices, I expected much better customer service. Other theaters like AMC are usually much more understanding and willing to work with customers when issues arise. Instead, we left feeling frustrated after paying for a movie we never got to watch. Sadly, this experience completely turned us off from coming back.

While I also wish that they showed newer movies from time-to-time, the catalogue they prepare is a lot of great choices. - Snacks and bathrooms available. - Portable radios (so you don't kill your car battery) and headlight covers. Cons: - The biggest one by far is the price. Up until a year or so ago, you paid about $30 with fees to have your car in the lot, and each additional person was at most $8--still expensive, but certainly not completely out of the question. Now, you're looking at at least $23 PER PERSON, which makes this a 'once in a while' event rather than something fun to do every other weekend. It's a shame, and I know that prices are raising everywhere, but it's not feasible to spend $50 to see a movie in a parking lot, and $100 for a family of four? That's horribly unrealistic. I've noticed they're upped their prices on a lot of their packages, with the VIP up-close a whopping $75 a vehicle. And while I love this place, and think the people work hard running it, it's not worth that much just to be up front. - Rude staff. I certainly haven't really experienced it much in the last few years, but there are a couple of the people parking that can really get on your case for seemingly no reason. Tickets are bought online and range in price. Astro turf seating is $13 per person or $20 for two. No car parking is included (so you have to park outside the event) and you have to bring your own chair or rent one from them. Early Bird Car Entry + Driver is $28 ($20 for the car fee, $8 for the driver). Additional passengers are $8 per person. VIP is $75 and covers 1 car and 4 people for front row seating (just behind the astro turf area). Doors open either an hour or an hour & a half before showtime. When we scoped out the place, there was a sign that said exactly when the doors were going to be opened in the driveway. Since we had time (we were a wee bit too early), we went around the corner to get some grub. When we came back, we were second in line roughly a half hour before opening. Not too shabby and I definitely recommend showing up early to get a good spot (unless you're a VIP fancy pants). The line formed shortly after and wrapped around to Central. Pro tip - don't be a jerkasaurus and try to cut in line! The employees do notice anyone trying to pull a fast one and will make you go to the back of the line. Electric Dusk Drive-In is located off of Central Ave and California Ave in the old Sears parking lot. You cannot turn left into the parking lot on California! You have to enter from Central so that you turn right into the lot and don't block traffic. It was entertaining seeing so many people not grasp this simple idea. Once inside, the employees will scan your tickets and direct you where to park. If you want to back up and watch from your trunk, tell them and they'll help you out. If you're worried about your car battery dying out - bring your own radio or you can rent a transistor radio from them. If you listen via your car radio and it dies, they'll help jumpstart your car after the show. For restrooms, they provide two porta potties in the back side along with a hand washing station. If you're feeling munchy, they have a concession stand near the entrance but I'd encourage just getting your food beforehand from any eatery around the area (The Great White Hut is directly across the street). If you're thinking about trying Electric Dusk Drive-In, stop thinking and just do it already! They have a wide variety of movies to choose from (some are double-features) so you're covered no matter your taste of genre. It's such a fun nostalgic night and I can't wait to go back!

They had a live DJ, and a Costume Contest. Even a Bingo board, and wonderful food (Including the best tasting popcorn I've had at any drive-in anywhere.). All in person with proper social distance protocols, yet still very fun! The entire staff was engaging and kind. Alex in particular had us in tears just checking us in! On separate occasions I've ordered popcorn, burgers, nachos, fries, pretzels- I basically tried to work my way through the menu. It's hit-or-miss. 80% of the time the cheese has crust on it like the food has been sitting under the warming lamp for a while. Other times the food is entirely cold *shrugs*. More than once (one time too many) my order was never delivered to my seat at all. Thankfully, the staff was able to refund me after the movie in those instances where my food was forgotten. Parking was easy since there's plenty of parking behind the theater. Inside was very clean and so spacious! Really enjoyed the newly installed reclining seats and desks in front of every seat. It was relaxing watching the movie while not having to sit upright the entire time. I usually go to AMC but I think this theater is my new favorite theater now!
