The lake looked quite nice at night.

I am rather surprised at the good reviews for this event. I liked the idea of it but it was definitely lacking in the scare or even special effects factor. How about a hologram here and there? The way you get your food is by stopping at different spots in the route and showing the menu to individuals in costume in their own unique staged area which was kinda cool although I'm not sure how safe it is to be putting your menu in their basket each time you stop by given that we are in a global pandemic. The food was mediocre. All the employees were really nice though. I recommend bringing some wet wipes and maybe a Tide pen as the eating in the car part can get real messy real quick. I think the most important factor to making this event enjoyable is the company you're with since it's a long slow dark car ride.

Thank you to Hype Experiences for arranging this media visit for me to review this. If you are a content creator, I recommend joining their community to review experiences! More info here https://hypeexperiences.com/about-for-reviewers Los Angeles has a brand new Halloween attraction just half an hour east of downtown. Transforming the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area on select nights in October is THE BITE LA HALLOWEEN FOOD CRAWL & CREATURE SAFARI, a unique self-drive-thru affair that provides a fun and safe way for the entire family to celebrate the spooky season, in compliance with all COVID-19 protocols. You can have extra fun by getting the gang together and decorating your car ahead of time. Cars that arrive "in costume" are automatically entered in a car costume contest for the chance to win fun prizes throughout the season. Costumed or not, upon arrival at Legg Lake, you are instructed to turn off all headlights and tune the car radio to the event's own station which provides the perfect scary soundtrack for the night, and I recommend playing it fairly loud for the fullest effect. Slowly drive along a hauntingly lit path as you gaze at the eerie decorations and search for spine-chilling creatures who want to give you a fright. Bring a flashlight to shine through the trees during this safari to try to spot the creatures before they spot you. Make a game of it among everyone in your car of who can find them first, which kids should especially enjoy playing. Ghosts and goblins may even approach the car to serve up some big scares. Don't worry about them getting too close for comfort though, because they know to observe social distancing. Continue weaving your way into the food crawl to collect the 8 "bites" per person that are included with admission, with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options available. There are 8 stops along the food crawl, each a chillingly decorated installation guarded by a creepy but kind ghoul who delivers bites directly to each car from a safe distance. Each bite is a satisfying snack that can be easily eaten in a car - think sliders and meatballs and things with names like Terror Tots and Children of the Corn Bread. On the night I went, my personal favorites were the Thankskilling Meatballs which came in a sweet spicy sauce and the Alfredo Hitchcock Ravioli, a giant raviolo in a creamy sauce with a touch of nutmeg that screams autumn holidays. All the bites together add up to essentially a full meal, but if desired, additional bites can be ordered along the way, with payment for those extra bites due at the conclusion of the crawl. On top of all the bites, everyone also gets a dessert and a fall drink such as hot cocoa or apple cider. The final destination is a drive-in style area for a virtual campfire consisting of lighting effects that mimic a fire, with a large screen above it. Park your car in front of one of the hay bales and enjoy your bites as you take in the show. Synced to your radio, the screen plays a roughly 15 minute loop of seasonal clips including 2 ghost stories. I soaked in the atmosphere, sipping warm apple cider, before I decided it was time for me to drive back to reality. This is a wonderful way to safely enjoy a Halloween night out with family and friends while supporting the local workers and small businesses that are a part of this unique attraction. The staff and security along the way are friendly and eager to help, and the costumes, sets, and actors are of impressively high quality, a serendipitous byproduct of LA being the birthplace of cinema. Specific entry times and a ticket for each person must be purchased online in advance, so hurry and book your time slot today. Plan to spend about 90 minutes for the full experience, and note that alcohol is strictly prohibited. More Info: www.thebitela.com

Sister and I had an amazing time tonight. The setting is perfect and the creature safari was creepier than expected. We went to Urban Legends at OC Fair and we were really disappointed... thank goodness for Bite LA for restoring faith that you can do a good Halloween event during COVID. The actors and costumes/sets were really unique and creative. The food was ok, not great, but we didn't go into this expecting gourmet food. It reminds me of appetizers you would get at a Chili's or Applebee's. Thanks for putting on such a fun, spooky and uniquely charming event!

This was our first time and it was AMAZING!!! We wanted something that we could drive through and the added plus was the food!! We loved all of the items on the menu and the kids had a blast!! We all were scared at some point which made it even more fun!! Definitely recommend this, loved that we could see scary stories at the end and enjoy the tasty food/ dessert and hot cocoa. Thank you for giving us some type of normalcy during this pandemic!!

This creature popped out of nowhere and made me scream at the top of my lungs!

Oh my God this was so good! Honestly, credit to whoever thought of this scare maze/food crawl! Since the pandemic most events have been canceled but this event was so so creative in adapting to stay COVID safe. Such a good scare too! I was hiding under my seat!!! Costumes and performances we so amazing! I love the campfire ghost stories touch at the end of the drive through. 10/10 would recommend friends (in fact 3 of my friends are taking their families this weekend!) best night

My boyfriend and I went to the Halloween Food Crawl and Creature Safari with our pup and had a great experience! Driving through the Create Safari was actually scarier than we expected and the staff did a great job. The actors were very enthusiastic in front of their intricately decorated doors, and made grabbing each bite enjoyable. At the end we were able to enjoy our bites with some spooky stories, drive-in style. What a great way to end the spooky season!

They had a giant 21' × 37' LED screen for the live viewing of today's match between Spain and Belgium , creating an incredible atmosphere for all the fans. The Fan Zone also featured cultural activities, live performances, DJs, interactive fan experiences, a community marketplace, and delicious local food. Best of all, I met fellow World Cup and soccer fans from different places, making the experience even more memorable. What an amazing day celebrating the beautiful game! We reserved our tickets on Eventbrite but we got there early with my friend, and even though we waited in line for more than an hour to get in, it was totally worth it! We were able to get in before it became too crowded. My friend also found us a great spot in the shade, so we stayed cool and comfortable with a nice breeze throughout the day. Meanwhile, many people who arrived later couldn't find any shade and had to sit out on the grass under the hot sun. We also received some awesome FIFA World Cup Fan Zone goodies, including a commemorative bracelet and a special team poncho. Such great souvenirs to remember this amazing experience! Only one con, they only have porta-potties, and they were very dirty. They still have the FIFA World Cup Fan Zone tomorrow starting from 12:30-9pm. I couldn't believe we were there for 5 hours. Congrats Spain advanced to semi-finals.

I'm in pain, having trouble walking and have a headache. Its's sketchy here. I'm more mad about the parking situation. I've been coming here for a long time and they keep charging me the wrong price. I have all these colorful tickets and some white ones. White ones are for handicapped and Senior. Colored ones are for regular people. They just can't seem to get it right and of course they do not refund the price difference but they keep making the same mistake. At this point, I think it's on purpose. The people in the white trucks are also annoying I don't know how many times they've come and sat in front of me. I thought it was maintenance, but I was told the office people who use the white trucks. Are they after a peep show? This park isn't always crowded it's usually pretty empty except for some weekends when they have games. So there's no reason for you to sit in front of a person with your car running being a lookaloo. Do you see my problem? With all these sketchy things that I see going on here you have really other better things to do than to sit in front of me. You should be harassing people who are on foot and on bike scouting the parking lot for an opportunity to steal something else. Or how about when they're harassing someone. Twice I've had an issue here with those people on foot and on bikes trying to steal. Where were you then? Where were you when my phone was stolen out of the front seat of my car? Where were you when the guy on the bike tried to steal my stroller? Where were you when someone tried to solicit me? My point is, if your trying to catch someone committing a crime, go do it. You don't need to be watching me watch a webinar, you're sure not protecting me from anything or anyone. What you can do is try and fix that water fountain that's been on for weeks. I still see the cones around it and tape but the water still running and it hasn't been fixed it's been running all summer. Probably either before then.

I recommend to get there earliest so you can get a good spot so you can overlook the water The music could have been a little bit louder because it was hard to hear But the live performers were awesome I wish there was more interactive activities. Decorating our lanterns, enjoying the atmosphere, and watching the lanterns on the water together made for a great family memory. That part was awesome. But everything else? Not so much. Parking was excruciatingly bad. There were only about three people directing cars at the entrance, so it took forever just to get in and park. If you arrive early, you end up parking farthest away from the actual event and have a long walk. Getting out after the event was even worse. With basically one exit, traffic barely moved. We were stuck about an hour just to get out. RIDICULOUS. My advice: park outside the park if possible and walk in. The food situation wasn't much better. They had plenty of food trucks, but everything was overly expensive, the lines were long, and you're looking at around a 30-minute wait for food. Another tip: bring your own food and drinks. You'll save money and a lot of time. Overall, the lantern experience itself and the quality time with my family were memorable. I'm glad we experienced it together. But the parking situation, traffic control, expensive food, and long waits really brought the overall experience down.

The thing that South Coast lacks is a giant coordinated light show at the end like Calabasas has however there are a bit more lights (especially pumpkins) and food vendors at this version. It's basically a bigger version of the one up in Calabasas. This season I went to Carved, Nights of the Jack, and Magic of the Jack and I would definitely say that Carved was my favorite of the three. This Magic of the Jack version is extremely kid oriented and honestly it was so crowded with families and screaming kids and people pulling wagons zig zagging in the only pathway that it made it hard to enjoy. I think even for preteens this would be a little bit too kid oriented. The parking situation was also pretty annoying. You can pay for premium parking, however, that was not available when we got our tickets so we had to do regular parking. For this you park in a lot a couple miles away and then wait to be shuttled in and out. When the bus finally arrived to take us to the event, the attendant told us to hop on that we would be the last two but there was only one seat available, so I had to stand during the entire drive over. I think basic counting should be required to do loading and unloading of the buses. There are a lot of food vendors with some pretty good options however, the pricing is really high and you already are spending $50 a ticket so this trip out could be very expensive if you opt for every purchase option. It also was a bit of a walk up and down hills, so it wasn't as enjoyable of an experience as I was hoping. I would definitely skip unless you have children under 10 who don't have any mobility or behavioral issues.

Dear Pico Rivera Sports Arena Management,…read more I am writing to share a complaint regarding an interaction I had with an employee during the "Feria Nayarita" event on Sunday, August 2, 2026. The incident took place in the men's restroom near the main entrance. It was over 90 degrees outside, and after spending time dancing, I was sweating and decided to go into the restroom to clean up. In that restroom, there was an employee selling cigarettes, gum, and other items. As I was washing my face at the hand-washing sink, the employee saw me and made the following comment, which I remember clearly and quote exactly: "PUTA MADRE, THEY SHOULD GO HOME AND SHOWER". I personally found this comment inappropriate, unnecessary, and out of place. I was simply using the restroom and washing my face because of the heat and physical activity. I understand that employees may encounter many different situations during an event, but I believe guests should be treated with professionalism and respect. I want to emphasize that, aside from this incident, we had an amazing time at Feria Nayarita. The food, drinks, music, and overall atmosphere were incredible, and we genuinely enjoyed the event. Unfortunately, this interaction with the employee left a negative impression and was disappointing given how enjoyable the rest of our experience was. I am bringing this to management's attention because I believe it is important that employees representing Pico Rivera Sports Arena maintain a professional and respectful attitude toward guests. I would appreciate it if this incident could be addressed appropriately. Thank you for taking the time to read my complaint. I hope this feedback helps ensure that future guests have a completely positive experience at your venue. On another note, I called the property and left several messages. As of today no one bothered to call me back. This is why I decided to give you guys this review. Sincerely, Marcos

A week ago people were dousing themselves & others with a myriad of colors welcoming in the Spring with this Classic Indian Tradition @ Hali The Festival of Colors in Whittier Narrows. Participants were wearing masks on their faces to protect themselves from getting colors on their face. It was a happy & joyous time in LA March 7 & 8, 2020. Now people are wearing the exact same masks a week later March 15 2020 & beyond to protect themselves from Coronavirus. The same masks in a week means 2 completely different things. Happiness & Joy to Coronavirus & Pandemic. From Freedom to do whatever you wanted & Ringing in the Springtime with an Indian Tradition to lockdowns & closures of all people's social activities. In addition all dining activities have been turned into Take Out & Delivery Only. UNBELIEVABLE! You could never write this script or put it in a movie because people would never believe it. They would say it's Fake News unless I had the Pictures. Well I do have the pictures. It's just seems Surreal & an Incredibly Awful Nightmare that people want ended. Please take me back!!! They had Discounted price Tickets for this event with codes that you could use on their website. It was so much fun dancing & throwing the multi colors in the air & Yoga & all the other activities. We were all having so much with the Music & Dancing etc. They had several different price packages from just admission only, or you could buy a package with the 5 colors. The package with Admission & the 5 colors was The Most Fun. They would throw the colors in the air every hour & they would land on yourself & everyone else. They also had Food Trucks & assorted Merch booths you could buy T Shirts, books etc. If you missed it mark it in your calendar for next year. They also have another Holi Festival in the San Fernando Valley. Hopefully they can find a vaccine or cure soon & stop people from dying. Hopefully things can return to normal in a short time & everyone can be thankful & really enjoy this festival next year. It used to be, you had to have Mega Bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!
