It was mine and my family's first time here and we absolutely loved the experience. We watched hoppers and it was a cute movie. My daughter loved it. I love that we can bring our own snacks/food. They do have a snack station too which is awesome, unfortunately we didn't check it out. The ticket print out lets us know what radio station to tune into so we can hear audio. It was a little confusing exiting since it's just a big open lot but we figured it out lol. We will definitely be coming back for another movie.

I love coming here.I have been coming here for some time now. They have a concession stand/restaurant.And sometimes they have vendors selling stuff outside the restaurant/concession stand.(elote, aguas ect). The employees are friendly as well.

4.5 stars My husband and I ($26 for the two of us) went and watched Five Nights at Freddy's 2 movie here and I would like to say it was a fun experience for the most part. We enjoyed watching the movie and not bothering anyone else with our little one too much(under a year old). I would like to say that it was our first time here and though we made it on time for our movie when I tried calling ahead 10 minutes to show time to see if (ex) a 7:30 show time is a hard start to a movie or there's trailers no one was there to answer the phone and I was already going to run 10 minutes late to my movie, I tried 3+ times. I'm the type of person who hates missing anything in a movie as it ruins the experience for me. I really wish that they had someone to watch the phone incase someone else had those kinds of questions. I will say for anyone wondering as of right now I don't THINK a (ex) 7:30 show starts exactly at 7:30 but more like 7:40. I would have to come again to see. The audio for the movie was great and the only "glitches" we had was when my car fully turned off every so often or Siri heard her name when no one spoke it (personal phone glitch). The visual on the screen was good too for the most part but might have been better if my windows weren't so bad. At the snack stand they had hotdogs, popcorn, some good selection of ice cream etc. , I wish I got the menus picture. I got myself a bottle of soda and two pizza slices. The pizza wasn't great but it was edible at least. I will say it's a great thing to that at the snack stand they have the option for you to buy a radio so you don't have to use your cars battery. But if your car does die, like someone's did, they are able to jump it for you. I would say one of the funnest parts, to an animal lover like me, was the fact they have cats that roam the theaters parking lot/outdoor area. They are shy creatures but a pure black one an employee nicknamed toothless was real sweet.

Throwback to the late 80's early 90's drive in theater. Easy to get there right off the highway. You can have your radio tuned to the movie, no clunky speaker boxes.

I kept hearing of the drive-in theaters nearby and we thought it may be fun to make a date night of it. It was about a hour drive for us and we got there just as about the movie was about to start. Getting tickets (in person only, not online?) and navigating what screen to go to was a bit vague in instructions given and hardly staff was present. When they were, they were kind and redirected us. We had to go through the channels a bit until we found the station needed too. Hopefully they can post that info somewhere on a sign?! :) The elephant ear and snacks were not bad and they make it per order which was different and met the throwback vibe of a drive-in.

Wow!! First time at a drive in movie theatre in about 25 years and we had an amazing experience!! We saw Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and had a blast. The staff makes the difference and the staff on duty on 9/22/24 was on point. Everyone we encountered was polite and helpful. The crew at the snack bar were very friendly and even gave us a churro to enjoy. Plenty of parking options to get a good view of the movie. The movie and sound were great and we experienced no issues. The restrooms were clean as was the parking lot. We went on a Sunday evening, so I'm sure it can get crowded. But we got there early and actually ended up being the first car in line. Pricing for the entrance was reasonable as was the snack bar. We'll definitely make this a regular thing.

It was our first time when we came a couple nights ago and I must say that it was a cool experience. Although it was difficult hearing the movie, I really enjoyed chilling in my car with munchies watching from afar. There were moments that were intimate and laughter of joy. I also forgot to add that you can tune in to the radio to listen the movie's audio through the car so you don't have to listen to it outside. We watched Imaginary and I rate it a 5/10. I kinda expected the PG-13 horror movie to not be scary at all. Regardless, would come back again for a better movie!

Reviews are mixed. Many enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere, affordable pricing, and the option to bring your own food. Most find movie and audio quality good, though some mention occasional issues.

Ask the Community - Paramount Drive In Theaters

How far in advance did you have to get in line to get a ticket for the movie?

If you want a really good spot then definitely get there at least an hour ahead of time. maybe 2 depending on how long the lines are whichever night you go.

Should we allowed to bring outside food and drinks or not?

Yes. We bring pizza and drinks all the time.

How much for a family?

Hi their... well it was Originally $8 Now it's $13 .... Depends on the movie and night. Not sure the price for kids.

Are dogs allowed?

Just got off the phone on 9/4/2024 and I was told it's fine BUT animals have to stay in the car at all times. There's no pee breaks for puppy, and you can't leave and come back, so you should plot your theater trip well.

Are they selling any food inside? Last time we had gone to check they were closed.

I went last month and kitchen was fully open. I'm sure kitchen availability depends on traffic too. Best to just call them ahead to confirm if you plan on getting food there.

Are they asking for the vaccination card?

No. 1) you're outdoors. 2) you're 6' apart and 3) you're in your car.

Are most of the people well behave like a responsible adults and respect their neighbors next to you?

For the most part most definitely, what I like mostly is that they have more staff walking throughout movie making sure things are as they should be. If something arises like folks having lights on staff has put an end to that in my presence.

Do they charge per vehicle as well, or just persons? Can people see out of the backseat (2002 Toyota Avalon)? Can we bring pre-cooked outside food?

You can bring food in , or buy food they have available. They charge per person at drive in $10.00 a movie I'm sure they can see the movie however not sure what there view would look like. No one is allowed to being chairs or to sit outside of…

Do they take debit cards?

Yes they do .

Can we leave our car running while watching the movie or should we try and find a little radio?

A battery powered radio is recommended. I have noticed some posts with electrical connections in the parking lot but I am not sure if they work. lol There are people who run their cars but most seem to stay away from the rest of the cars due to the…

It says you can't sit outside your vehicle due to covid, does this mean like including the bed of your truck or just in lawn chairs outside?

At this point you may sit outside your car in any form as long as you don't impose on anyone else's experience.

What time do they start letting cars in prior to the movie starting?

We got there around 6:30 p.m. and there was a line already and cars parked inside.

Do they take Apple Pay.?

Idk

Are they open when it rains?

Open 365 days out of the year rain or shine

Do they allow pets like our dog?

Yes they do. The ticket guy said you can't walk the dog around but they're fine In your car.

Whats the best time to arrive for the second show (starts about 10:30p)?

Whenever a movie plays always consider getting there at least 30 min early.

How early before the showing should I go?

At the minimum an hour before the showtime. They open an hour prior anyway but there will be a line of cars waiting to get in so I'd say 1.5 hours prior to be on the safe side.

Do people and are they allowed to smoke in their cars during the movie?

Can I have the hatch open to lay in the back of my suv without blocking other people's views?

Yes!! Some people have done that 😬

Are weekdays just as crowded as weekends?

I've gone twice on weekdays pretty recently and there were plenty of cars, but there was no wait to get in and it was easy to find a spot.

Friday the 13th found us sitting on graves while watching Rocky Horror on a large inflated screen while the Long Beach Art Theatre cast performed along with movie. Yes, there was literally dancing on graves going on here. The gravestones were interesting to read while we waited for the performance to start. Most of them were from a hundred years ago! The doors opened at 6:30 and the performance and movie started at 9, giving the audience time to enjoy a picnic or visit the food trucks parked in the graveyard. (Now that's a phrase I never thought I would write.) Four food trucks were there next to the port-a-potties. I didn't see anything saying that you could or couldn't bring alcohol, but a lot of people had alcohol out in the open, so I guess it's okay. Our neighbors even popped a bottle of champagne. Some tips for movie night: Come early if you want good parking. Late comers have to park across the street. Drive a small car if you can. The graveyard driveway is pretty narrow. It got pretty chilly in the later hours, so I suggest bringing jackets/blankets. Bring a low back chair,as taller chairs need to go to the back or side. Future films include: June 27: Pink Floyd The Wall July 11: Pulp Fiction July 25: Psycho August 8: Fight Club August 22: Donnie Darko September 5: The Shining Thanks to Yelp OC for the tickets!

I remember, vaguely in detail, but clearly in broadness, that I saw an episode of Reading Rainbow…read more In this episode the main character goes to a swap meet and is inspired by a book to view a trip to the swap meet as an opportunity to discover treasure. I did not go with a child's optimism to the Roadium, but I did hope to find oddities to engage my mind, trinkets to admire and imagine about, and in general find something that would be right for me at a bargain price. And the Roadium on a Sunday, provided me the opportunity to find all the previously mentioned items and things, plus it also help me get steps in, in a slow pace, while I absorbed the sun's Vitamin D. I am surprised to say this, like super surprised, but the item that most caught- really arrested- my attention was a picture that centered the country's current sitting president: Trump. In the picture, Trump has his head down, eyes closed, hands and fingers interlocked, and he seems to have a face of meditation, maybe receiving peace and/or knowledge. And behind stand a variety of historical and political powerhouses of the past, like Nixon, Reagan, Washington, Lincoln, and others that I could not recognize to name with confidence. However, all had their eyes closed, and had an aura of tranquility that also carried palpable notes of worry. What struck me the most is that the group, in tense serenity, included men and women of color. It is important to note that I clipped the picture, to give the reader or viewer the opportunity to collect their own thoughts and land their own interpretation. That got heavy. I also clipped a picture of quinceneras. One was dressed in Cinderella blue with a carriage, horse, and carriage handers were in the background, I thought it was A.I. generated but perhaps some people do have quinces like that, in fact I know they do, I used to wacth my Super Sweet Sixteen on MTV. Getting inside the Roadium is hard on a Sunday. But apparently worst on others day because the Roadium has different vendors on different days and each attracts a different type of crowd. For instance, on the firstMonday of the month vendors from the Rose Bowl Flea Market come. Please know that I am recycling information that was provided to me by one of the vendors. Research, please to verify accuracy. However, she also explained that on Mondays, when the Vintage Vendors come, parking becomes nearly imposible to find, even on the street. On this day, it cost 5 dollars, the cashiers only accept cash, The place has trinkets, food, and finds, seriously, it is a cool walk to see, touch, and get lost, if that is something one can do- shop vendors with nothing you want to buy, but still find meaning in the seeing and touching. I had peanuts on this day, but they were special because they were freshly toasted. Like I got a few to try (both extra toasted and not so toasted) and they were still warmed from the machine that toasted them. The touch of a warm shell was enough for me to be impressed but the freshness was key. This vendor explains that sometimes the peanuts in the store are 10 days old, after they were first roasted. Again do research. I saw micro Mexican candy stores with some of the candy that really communicates non-tourist streets of Oaxaca. I also bought three shirts. One was 8, two other ones were three dollars, and I feel like they were honest finds. I took a video of a barbie like doll, not barbie, using a Segway, which I thought was a wink to the modern that made sense yet never seen. I also saw a Spiderman Halloween shirt. And I thought how weird. It was him siting Spidey like, and he was pumpkin orange with bats behind him. It was juvenile because it was Disney product from theri Halloween bash time. So this place does have what was one precious yet never bought. I can see how someone might get something today to use at another day, or simply, be creative and DIY stuff from the stuff they found here.

The rest of the swap meet was Bath and body items which was very well organized and they had a massive amounts and quite a bit of children's items and clothes some clothes not the best quality but just really good selection and kids grow out of things so fast they had some like little boutique booths, which the quality didn't seem great, but the prices were higher than I definitely expected, but the rest of the Swapmeet was like a big chunk sale plastic bags on the ground or on tables with just piles of stuff thrown all over them or random tchotchkes thrown on the ground and you had to pick through everything. It is big but unfortunately it was definitely not vintage days. We went on the day that they was designated for vintage days specifically because we weren't really looking for just junk or stuff . We won't be back anytime soon . We got an ice cream cone and one scoop was like eight dollars. They do have some fruit and vegetables, but they were pretty ripe and some of the items canned goods look like things they got left over from maybe a food bank or items they took from a food bank that they didn't use just a lot of stuff that seemed like it had been collected from free stuff left over from a yard sale or I don't even know it was not what I expected. It was my first time I've been wanting to go for years. My sister-in-law hadn't been since she was younger, and my husband hadn't been since he was younger. He said he remembered his mom taking him all the time.
