Needed a coffee, so stopped by. I usually just order a black drip coffee, but was excited to stay somewhat different. Coconut dulce latte. I was pleasantly surprised, very good. My wife got the hand squeezed OJ. Super friendly staff. Plenty of tables and seats inside and outside. We might return and try the cinnamon roll or breakfast sandwich. Stuff smelled great!

Collab Cafe is a super cute surf cafe in Kapaa, Kaua'i. Serving fresh and locally sourced food collab cafe is a great choice for something healthy! The shop was opened by two friends who started the business together, hence the name "Collab" The service is super friendly and personable and the food is even more delicious. I ordered the brisket sandwich and macnut cold brew. I thought the sandwich and coffee was great. The coffee was not too sweet and had a slightly nutty flavor. The brisket sandwich is good as well. It was pretty filling, but I feel like it would've been bitter with a guava barbecue sauce for instance. The thick cut bacon was absolutely phenomenal. The shakshouka was good but a little bit heavy on the tomato. (I know it's in the base sauce but still) the Collab breakfast sammie was also really yummy. If you happen to be hanging out on the shores of Wailua I definitely recommend grabbing a bite at this cute little cafe.

As a little treat for myself, I decided to forgo a black coffee for something different. The Black Salt Latte was well worth every calorie. Not too sweet, with dark chocolate and a flavor boost from the salt. A great latte... I would have had another! Very very highly recommend!

Love coming to Collab whenever I am in town and Outpost Coffee is one of the best in the island! This location is excellent and the food is delicious! The mushroom toast subbed with the mac nut pesto is the way to go! They are always super friendly and the service is super fast. We sat in front of the coffee roaster which when running is an awesome experience! The location is cute and has an outdoor area as well. My buddy knows the owner Ben and we were chatting with him while he prepared beans for packaging. He's really nice and has tons of pro tips if you want to start your own coffee tree farm (one day...). If you haven't been here before or tried Outpost Coffee you are missing out!

First day on the island I was just striking out on my food and bev spots, but today I'm nailing it! The mushroom toast here with the chili crunch, pea shoots, and I sub'd in MacNut pesto on the recommendation of the fabulous woman working the register, was just sublime. Much needed healthy good food that was better than some of the better brunch spots I have been to in NYC. Charming, bright ambiance, quick service! Quality food!!! Can't wait to try more things on their menu.

All the local food here has really been incredible, but man this place stands out! We got the black salt mochas (incredible)the eggs benny with house made spam (fantastic) and on the way out I got the macadamia nut cookie which literally blew me away. The cookie stole the show! I can't recommend this place enough!

Delicious and Sweet!! The best avocado toast I've had on Kauai!! The side order of smoked bacon is a must. Cute and family friendly. Service is great and fairly quick.

This place is phenomenal. The honey citrus toast is somehow a 50/50 bar as a breakfast toast - and it's such a wild combo. Had a regular latte and it was also top tier. Poached eggs are A++. Hard to imagine not coming here every day - it's that good.

I found this place by accident and I wish I found it sooner! (It happened to be our last day womp womp) The shop itself is clean, simple, and cute. There's indoor seating and a good-sized raised patio outside. It's the perfect place to get some work done, read a book, or just hang out with a friend. We got the matcha latte and Mac nut latte and they were both SO GOOD. I would get both again, highly recommend. The barista (who may have been the owner?) helped with recommendations when we trying to choose between a couple items. We didn't get any food but everything looked so tasty. I can't wait to go back.

I LOVED this new spot working hard to give life to the old Waipoulli Foodland shopping complex. It's a "collab" of three formerly separate businesses now working together to complement one another under a single roof. The hours are a bit tricky for now but the place has the potential to be a morning-to-night business if they can build the clientele. Fingers crossed. I popped in as they were getting set to close so just opted for a simple brewed coffee. I ordered mine black which meant that I could really taste the delicious coffee. The beans were slightly sweet, medium bodied, lightly roasted in house by one of the partner businesses, Outpost Coffee Kauai, which I think also supplies their larger cafe operation up in Hanalei. The breakfast toasts and bread loaves looked great though I had weird timing and neither would have worked for me during this particular visit. I will get both on my next trip to the garden isle. Nice outdoor seating, too, when you have time to lounge. Plus super friendly people who are eager to share their vision for the business and for reinvigorating this stretch of Kapaa. I wish them the best of luck. Check this place out!

Good variety of baked goods and breakfast food. A variety of toast like avocado and orange. We tried the BLT breakfast sandwich and it was the thickest slices of bacon I have very had. The mochas we ordered were delicious. Gracious service. We ate outdoors and enjoyed the show the from the roosters and the morning rain.

No xbloom pour-overs being served, so I settled for pre-made drip. The barista was friendly enough but couldn't tell me anything about the coffees on her own menu -- origin, roast, process, nothing. She recommended a mac nut latte for my partner, which felt less like a recommendation and more like the only thing she was sure of. The drip came out fast and hot. That's the last nice thing I have to say. The latte comes from a second window, where a different employee was actively hostile. Busy morning, so I asked if the drink was mine. She snapped that my name was written on the cup. It was -- facing her. I was apparently supposed to read it through the cup. Here's the real problem: someone clearly put thought into the roasting side of this business, and then handed the entire customer-facing operation to people who received no training whatsoever. Not in the coffee, not in basic hospitality. You can teach someone to smile. You can teach them to answer a question without contempt. Nobody bothered. Average coffee, worse service, priced for people who won't be back anyway -- and given the volume of visitors, that model probably works fine for them. It won't work for me. Kauai has cafés run by people who are genuinely obsessed with what they're doing. Go find one of those. Serious coffee drinkers should walk right past this place.

This is exactly the kind of mom-and-pop spot I love finding while traveling. No frills, just friendly people serving great food at reasonable prices. The poke was fresh, the karaage was flavorful, and the lau lau was tender and comforting. The staff was welcoming, the portions were generous, and the prices were fair, especially considering the quality of the food. No names were called when the food was brought out, and there were only two parties dining in the restaurant. The food was placed directly on the other table, where it was eaten while we waited another 20 minutes for our order to be remade. From what we observed, the other party appeared to know the staff and was not asked to pay while we were there. Mistakes happen, and as fellow business owners, we understand that. What disappointed us was how the situation was handled. We would have appreciated ownership of the mistake and an effort to make it right. We wish you and your business the best. Original review: We stopped here for a light lunch after the Fern Grotto tour. The iced coffee was very good, but unfortunately our dining experience was disappointing. When ordering, the employee at the counter seemed impatient while we looked over the menu, and the interaction felt rushed. We ordered fries, wings, two malasadas, and a loco moco without an egg. While waiting we ended up getting iced coffees. After waiting about 15-20 minutes, our food was brought to another group, even though it matched our order exactly. We had to point out the mistake ourselves. The other group proceeded to eat the entire meal we paid for while we waited another 20 minutes for our order to be remade. There was very little acknowledgment of the error, no meaningful apology, and no effort to make the situation right beyond offering us different food while we waited. We had already paid and ultimately asked for our meal to go. Mistakes happen, but how they're handled matters. Watching another table eat the meal we had ordered and paid for without anyone taking ownership of the situation made for a very uncomfortable experience. The wings and fries were average, the coffee was excellent, but based on the service and how this was handled, I would not recommend stopping here for a meal.
