    Aloha style poke

Marlins Quick Bite deserves all the hype! They have so many snack options, coffee, poke, everything! We came in before a boat tour and wanted to get poke but were worried that there wasn't a cooler on the boat. The worker gave us a thermal bag and a ziploc bag full of ice to keep our poke in! We really appreciated that and felt it was such a nice gesture for her to go out of her way to make sure our boating experience was good! The little shop smells so good inside as well! Very nice people and very welcoming.

Chili bowl, didn't last long, was too good to let sit.

AND YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY ANYTHING. After Hurricane Lowell, we know many of our neighbors are still without power, internet and other basic services. We were incredibly fortunate. The Right Slice has power. We have water. We have internet. And we'd like to share what we have. BUT PLEASE -- SAFETY FIRST. We want everyone in our community to make responsible decisions about traveling. Please only drive to Kalāheo if it is safe to do so from where you are. Conditions can vary greatly around the island, and no charge, meal, ice or internet connection is worth putting yourself or anyone else at risk. If roads in your area are unsafe, blocked, flooded or officials are asking you to stay off them, please stay where you are and stay safe. We'll be here to help when you can safely reach us. For the next few days, while our island gets back on its feet, we're opening our bakery in Kalāheo as a place where our community can stop in and get a little help. CHARGE YOUR DEVICES Bring your phone, tablet or other essential devices and your charging cords. If you have a surge protector or power strip, please bring that too. MAKE A QUICK CALL HOME Need to let family know you're okay? If you're having trouble with phone service, ask us about using the bakery phone for a short check-in call. USE OUR INTERNET Need to get online to contact family, check updates, reach your insurance company or employer, take care of necessary business, or handle something important? Come in and use our Wi-Fi. Please be mindful of your internet usage. We're sharing this resource with as many of our neighbors as possible, so we're asking everyone to please limit Wi-Fi use to essential communication and necessary tasks rather than gaming, streaming or other high-bandwidth entertainment. Mahalo for helping us keep it available for the people who need it. ICE We'll share small quantities of ice as quickly as our small ice machine can keep up. Please understand that we won't be able to fill large coolers or containers--we'd like to help as many households as we can with the ice we're able to make. WATER Bring a jug and we'll help with drinking water in limited quantities while we're able. AND IF YOU'RE STILL WITHOUT POWER IN KALĀHEO... Come see us. We'd like to give you a hot baked pot pie. No charge. Because sometimes a hot meal is one less thing to worry about. We'll have some tables and chairs out, too. Charge your phone. Check your messages. Have something to eat. Talk story for a while. You don't have to purchase anything. We're simply fortunate enough to have some things right now that many of our neighbors don't, and we'd like to share them. Everything will be available while supplies, space and our capacity allow. Please be patient with us--we don't know exactly what today will bring either! TO OUR FRIENDS OFF-ISLAND... We've already heard from people who love Kauaʻi and are wondering how they can help. We're working on something. We'll share more details soon about a way you can help us put food directly into the hands of people here on Kauaʻi who need it. For today, please help us by SHARING THIS POST, especially with friends and neighbors on the West Side and anyone you know who is still without power. Take care of each other, Kauaʻi. We picked up a whole Island Lemon Pie to take with us (forgot to get a photo). I got myself a slice of the Macadamia Nut Pie to go, which was delicious, especially with vanilla bean ice cream. Everything we've tried here has been consistently good and we've never had a bad experience. If you're planning a visit, try to get there early since popular flavors can sell out. Definitely worth a stop!

Such a gem spot in a small town!! Prob the best malasadas…read moreyou'll get for miles. They're made fresh to order and come out so warm!! I will admit that they are muuuch thicker than other malasadas I've tried, almost similar to the texture of a churro, but still super delicious. Don't let one fool you!! It sits pretty heavy after x3 (oops haha). Such sweet service and they have other yummy breads and pastries available at the counter.

It's such a cute little mom-and-pop spot, super welcoming and simple in the best way. The second you walk in, it just feels warm and genuine. The roasted pork rice dish was honestly the best I've ever had in my life. The pork was perfectly cooked, so flavorful along with the cravy, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and homemade. Best mac salad as well. They have other rice dishes too, can't wait to come back to try these. You can really tell how much care goes into the food here. And the malasadas... easily some of the freshest we had in Kauai. Soft, warm, and just perfect -- the kind you wish you had ordered more of right away. They have both simple malasadas and filled ones (get the coconut one!!!) The whole experience honestly felt like you were eating at your auntie's house. So comforting, so friendly, and just really special. If you're anywhere near Hanapepe, this place is 100% worth stopping for. I'm already thinking about that roasted pork and can't wait to come back next time I'm in Kauai.
