Malasadas-2 of each flavor (vanilla, coconut & chocolate)

Best malasadas in Kauai-crispy outside, soft inside, and served by the friendliest staff!

Stumbled upon this place in Hanapepe and so glad we did. These were smaller malasadas, freshly fried right in front of you. Only $1! We tried the sugar ones and they were amazing! Will definitely go back when we're in the area again.

Delicious, HUGE bite-sized malasadas, $5 bowls of roast pork in house gravy and lemon ginger chicken, and the kindest and most genuine service we experienced on Kauai. They truly care about what they do and that's reflected in their food. Ordering at the counter was quick and straightforward and we got our food fresh, right away! They also have the cutest resident kittens outside by the covered picnic tables. This is a worthwhile stop in Hanapepe that I sincerely hope will succeed and grow! Tip: check their Facebook for latest specials, farmers market appearances, and updates.

Food was very good. Got the spicy chicken mini plate and it was delicious. Also very affordable and definitely worth it.

Great friendly service. Good portions and delicious food that you can actually taste the care that went into it. A must visit!

Really good customer service, everything we ordered tasted great!! Finished the lemongrass chicken already before remembering to take a photo.

    Best malasadas ever!

OMG. Best malasada ever! Even better than Le******! So ono and bite-sized, so crunchy in every bite. They are at the end of Hanapepe Road so you have to keep walking. We went on a Sunday and almost turned around before reaching their shop because we thought everything was closed. So glad we kept going. It's a cute hole in the wall. Everything is made to order so requires patience. But so worth the wait. We also had roast pork bowl. $5! Pork had just the right ratio of fat to meat and the gravy was real! Not packaged. So good. Bonus: The owners are a cute couple. Super friendly. Check them out. You'll be glad you did.

Definitely stop by if you're looking for delicious local bakeries/restaurants. Service was lovely, food was exquisite, and outdoor seating was very charming. I didn't take any photos of the food because everything was gone before I remembered to even pull out my phone (and if that doesn't say the food's delicious, I don't know what does). Must-try: stuffed melasadas w/cinnamon sugar. Can't go wrong with any flavor (my personal faves were Custard and Haupia). Genuinely the best ones I've had on the island!

This place has absolutely delicious food. Traditional Hawaiian grinds at the best value. A 1 item plate lunch was 10 bucks, and it came with a generous portion of roast pork on top of rice, and mac salad. All for just ten dollars. We also got a couple of Malasadas and they were only a dollar each, 1.75 if you wanted one with filling. The owner of the place can't of and spoke with us, and even gave us 2 chocolate croissants, that she made by hand that morning. Those croissants were up there eur the best I've ever had. If you're in Hanapepe, this place has to be at the top of your list.

Oh my god. Their flying saucers on Art Night was so delish! I love their touch on it. It was $4 each saucer. Service was great.

Great food at a reasonable price. No inside dinning, but there a few picnic tables with umbrellas outside. Nice to support local businesses.

I was so happy when my girlfriend introduced me to Aloha Sweet Delites' manju and baked goods. It's delish! So worth it was my impromptu stop. What a delicious hidden gem. In addition to their tasty manju, the cinnamon twists I purchased lasted me a few minutes because I inhaled the whole bag in one sitting. Yummy and a full tummy! Their cinnamon mini toasts are also another addicting treat. Times a convenient affair when Aloha Sweet Delites is not only a bakery but also in tandem as a great mini grocery store. Case and point: I found their corn nuts insanely addicting after the first kennel was chewed loudly lol. I'd definitely frequent this bakery-convenience store whenever in the area. There were so many other baked goods I didn't get to try but will remedy that in the foreseeable future. Only regret is my inability to enjoy their honeydew tapioca if I was to avoid an allergic reaction to the melon. Will wait for another melon or fruit tapioca. We ordered the Lilikoi, Haupia, and Ube malasadas -- and WOW. All of them were so good, but the ube was our favorite! Soft, fluffy, perfectly sweet, and filled with so much flavor. You can really taste the freshness. The employees were also so sweet and kind, which made the experience even better. It's always nice to feel welcomed, especially early in the morning. Another big plus is the private parking lot with plenty of spaces -- super convenient! There's also lots of outdoor seating in a courtyard surrounded by beautiful plumeria trees (and some friendly chickens walking around), which adds to the whole island charm. Unfortunately being from Oahu with having Leonard's Bakery malasadas, these malasadas were rather mid compared to that. The guava filling was the artificially flavored type. But other than that it was a decent/above average sweet treat. The malasadas itself I'd say was 3 stars. However, the star was the Java Chip Mocha Frappuccino. The thing I loved most about it was that the java chips were small enough where it never got stuck in the straw and was evenly consistent with every sip. By far the best java chip mocha frappuccino in my book! I'd come back for this one. It made starbucks seem mid tbh. Service was friendly and efficient. And the ambiance, though quite small it was fresh with the smell of a malasadas bakery :) Plus a few tables and plenty parking outside. Overall I'd give it a 4 stars. Definitely coming back for that java chip frappuccino YUM!!!

We stopped by on a Tuesday around 8:30AM and got our pick of malasadas to try out! Kauai Bakery is located in a shopping plaza with plenty of ample parking, making it very easy to stop by and grab some delicious pastries. Service is like your typical bakery, you pick what you would like and they get it to you so you can stuff your face immediately after purchase. Ambiance is cozy with plenty of pastries to pick from in the large display case. We got 4 flavors of Malasadas for $16, which is $4 per doughnut, which I think is a decent price for the size and heft. The flavors we sampled were Lilikoi, Coconut, and Guava - out of these flavors, the coconut one was my personal favorite! The flavor was exactly what I would want anything coconut cream flavor should taste, creamy texture with a pleasant coconut taste that didn't taste artificial at all. It captured the floral background taste that is missing from a lot of coconut desserts that makes coconut so pleasing to eat! The Lilikoi one was my next favorite, it had a slight tartness and a more subtly pronounced flavor - I think I was looking for something stronger personally. Lastly was the guava one, which actually tasted a bit artificial and didn't have a pronounced flavor at all, which was unfortunate. Despite this critique, I would still glady inhale 2 or 3 of them because the dough was really pillowy and really enjoyable to eat. I think that the pastries here (at least the malasadas) are very solid and priced competitively vs most things here on Kauai. I would totally come back to get several more of the malasadas as well as try the other pastry options on the menu. Stop by and give this bakery a try if you are in the area!
