It's been a few years since we bought food from here.So we decided to try here again. So I remembered this place and I knew they serve breakfast all day.So perfect!. My girlfriend wanted the Kim Chee fried rice omelette n side order bacon and I of course ordered my favorite. The Big boy Locomoco side order Mac salad no rice.So I called in the order and the estimated time was about 10 minutes. When I arrived the food was already done. The person that was there I don't know but,it's just me It didn't feel inviting .He didn't smile,Oh wells every one had their days.So on with the food.My girlfriend did enjoy here meal although the gravy was a little salty and the portion was to me a little skimpy. My Big boy Locomoco was good!.The burger's was cooked perfectly and the over easy eggs was just right. But,Also to me the gravy was alittle salty as well.Other than that I finished it!.Next time my girl friend wants to try the regular fried rice omelette.Next time I go back I want try there other plate lunches.Dont which one. Also I miss eating there crab rolls if they still have them?Or maybe there burger's or sandwiches??.Will see..

Stopped by for some crab rolls which I can't get back home. My favorite crab roll spot on the island closed down but knew we had to stop by and fulfill the craving. They offered spicy crab rolls here which my husband said were better than the regular ones. Had the pork manapua whoch was a little too wet for my liking but my husband liked it. My favorite of all was the apple pastry. So delicious we fought over it. Breakfast is served all day and I want to come back for the kimchee fried rice omelette (reasonably priced). Employee said it has a kick to it. Will update when I do!

Friendly service but the crab roll was underwhelming. It was like 95% bread and a barely few pieces of crab. Granted it's a roll, it was pretty dry and probably not worth $3.80 after taxes to me. I arrived around 9ish so not sure if that's a factor if they baked it prior to 6am opening. Plus, there was a fly roaming in the glass container unbeknownst to them.

I stopped by here earlier today with my wife for breakfast. We had driven by the Hanalima Bakery a number of times while on Kauai and so on this day decided to give it a try. The inside of this shop is somewhat small with a display case, cooler and then a menu above/behind the counter. On the day that we were eating there the lady behind the counter was pleasant. After looking over all of the items in the display case I ultimately decided on the spicy crab roll while my wife went with the bacon and egg croissant. Prices here were reasonable as both of our items cost maybe $3 or so. As soon as I got in the car I dug into my crab roll. It was delicious as they yeasted dough was present and around the edges you could really taste the crab. They weren't kidding about the spice either as it was strong but perfect for the roll in my opinion. Later on in the day I was also able to try my wife's croissant which was tasty as it was light and flaky while the eggs and bacon inside were nice. The bottom line for me is that I would come back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed the savory baked goods which we had purchased and I thought that the prices were more than reasonable too!

This is a great little bakery to stop and grab a snack The rolls are great, and priced at the $3.10 mark (2022 prices) There is a small bench outside to sit and enjoy them before heading off on your days adventure PSA, if you want a spicy crab roll get there before 9am, they were sold out when we arrived

Wouldn't think a bakery had lunch options available. But they do! Pros: good food, reasonable price, tasty, friendly staff, phone service was quick! Cons: Mac salad too much Mayo, parking can get super crowded (same parking lot as Mama Lucy's)

We visited the Hanalima Bakery on our recent trip to Kaua'i on the recommendation of friends and it did not disappoint. We ordered some crab rolls, ham and cheese rolls, and one other kind. The dough was warm and soft and delicious! So happy we went! Oh, the coffee was good too!

Came here for some savory manapuas and they were so delicious, hot and fresh! Tried the crab, Portuguese sausage and apple. Apple tastes like a mix of cinnamon roll and apple pie. So good! Satisfied my sweet and savory cravings all at once! Small mom and pop shop feel which I love.

Located near the airport. We landed early in the morning and was starving. So we went to grab something small before driving to our destination. This bakery popped up on yelp and opened early in the morning. We walked in and there wasn't too much pastry left. The cashier looked impatient since we were taking too long to think what to get. But hey it was first time here so gotta make sure we get the right type of pastry to try. We got the crab roll and the blueberry roll. Crab roll was bits and pieces of crab in the bread. Not much flavoring. The blueberry roll was like a cinnamon bun with blueberry jam flavor inside. Not too sweet. Wanted to get spicy crab roll but they don't have. Pricing was ok. Kind of expensive for a small piece. Spent almost $6 for 2 bread. Small parking lot and shared with other shops around the area. We came really early so it was quite empty.

Top to bottom in order: spicy crab roll, Portuguese sausage roll, and blueberry roll
    Beril E.

This bakery is open only on the weekdays and until 1pm. Since they run out of rolls quickly, you may want to do a quick detour before you start your strenuous hike in the island. It is also conveniently located less than 10 minutes away from the Lihue airport, for those looking for a quick and cheap bite before their flight (I'm typing this as we are driving to the airport). I honestly don't know why some people complained about the rolls not having enough meat. For $2.44, the rolls did more than enough for me. The spicy crab roll has a nice kick and was my favorite. My boyfriend loved the Portuguese sausage roll. The meat is minced and spread around layers of the roll, which I prefer over a thick chunk of sausage in the middle of a roll. The blueberry roll was too sweet for me, but again, my boyfriend was a fan. Disclaimer though, he'd eat glue if it were sweet. They also have other lunch items and spam musubi for those interested. So, get a few rolls and swallow them whole the moment you get back to your car. You won't regret it.

We stopped by on a Tuesday around 8:30AM and got our pick of malasadas to try out! Kauai Bakery is located in a shopping plaza with plenty of ample parking, making it very easy to stop by and grab some delicious pastries. Service is like your typical bakery, you pick what you would like and they get it to you so you can stuff your face immediately after purchase. Ambiance is cozy with plenty of pastries to pick from in the large display case. We got 4 flavors of Malasadas for $16, which is $4 per doughnut, which I think is a decent price for the size and heft. The flavors we sampled were Lilikoi, Coconut, and Guava - out of these flavors, the coconut one was my personal favorite! The flavor was exactly what I would want anything coconut cream flavor should taste, creamy texture with a pleasant coconut taste that didn't taste artificial at all. It captured the floral background taste that is missing from a lot of coconut desserts that makes coconut so pleasing to eat! The Lilikoi one was my next favorite, it had a slight tartness and a more subtly pronounced flavor - I think I was looking for something stronger personally. Lastly was the guava one, which actually tasted a bit artificial and didn't have a pronounced flavor at all, which was unfortunate. Despite this critique, I would still glady inhale 2 or 3 of them because the dough was really pillowy and really enjoyable to eat. I think that the pastries here (at least the malasadas) are very solid and priced competitively vs most things here on Kauai. I would totally come back to get several more of the malasadas as well as try the other pastry options on the menu. Stop by and give this bakery a try if you are in the area!

Unfortunately being from Oahu with having Leonard's Bakery malasadas, these malasadas were rather mid compared to that. The guava filling was the artificially flavored type. The thing I loved most about it was that the java chips were small enough where it never got stuck in the straw and was evenly consistent with every sip. By far the best java chip mocha frappuccino in my book! I'd come back for this one. It made starbucks seem mid tbh. Service was friendly and efficient. That being said, this felt like one of the few third wave coffee shops that exists on the island. I wanted to find an issue with this spot, because I'm always looking for something to be critical over. With the exception of the matcha shortage, they pretty much served all of my needs. I didn't get any pastries, but they looked really good. The decor was great. It was a light wood accented sterile floor concrete look. I gotta say, I love that kind of vibe. The service was great! It was a little busier when we walked in, and there were a few people in line, but it moved quickly, and we ordered promptly as such.
