Vanilla puff, green tea puff, chocolate puff, Kona coffee crème brûlée, panna cotta, lilikoi custard

We like everything we bought. Good tasting cream puffs. The place is minimalist and is not decorated. It's more a to-go kind of place.

Tried the chocolate cake--dense, rich, and perfectly portioned for one person. The chocolate mousse cup was a standout: rich, creamy, and not too sweet. The profiteroles were airy, light, and delicious. Also picked up the arare cookies--my first time trying them! Sweet and salty with a nice crunch--definitely worth a taste. Great quality desserts at affordable prices. Friendly service and indoor seating make it a pleasant spot to relax and enjoy a sweet treat.

We went to a weaving class at the museum and they brought each one of us a cream puff from kawaii kokoro. I think it was one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted!!!!

Japanese Cheesecake 10/10

This patisserie is a hidden gem. Everything is delicious and made with quality ingredients and made with creativity and definitely a trained professional. Over our stay we tried all the cookie choices. Arare cookies were the most unique and crisp 5/5. The peanut butter is pure and decadent 5/5. We adored the sweet black bean filled cookies. 5/5 The Mexican tea cookies, almond and chocolate chip macadamias were also delicious. The Japanese cheesecake is phenomenal. It is decorated beautifully. This is my favorite. The coffee brulee was just the amount of coffee flavor and so smooth. The chocolate mousse cup was something off of a fancy restaurant's tasting menu. Fantastic. The passion fruit mousse was delicately flavored and so refreshing. Only in Hawaii can this be made fresh and enjoyed! Lastly the profiteroles are decadent two-bite sized beauties. Professional filled and decorated with a whipped cream flavored with chocolate, vanilla or green tea. All are cream puffs of deliciousness. The prices are beyond fair. The shop is so clean. The gentleman at the register is the sweetest! So accommodating, and just so pleasant!! So fun to have found and tried this patisserie. We will be back!! Mahalo Kawaii Kokoro. Highly recommended.

Cheese cake anyone? So light so creamy so delicious.

Great snack shop! Owners were so nice and the snacks here were so delicious. My favorite was the coconut macaroons and the almond cookies. Old fashioned deliciousness and reasonably priced. I purchased all the cookies that were on their shelf. Yummylicious and great customer service.

I loved this shop. Stopped here on a whim to kill time before dropping someone off to the airport and they had such cute and affordable snacks to try. A Japanese cheesecake was less than 9 bucks for a decent-sized portion. The person working there was kind and helpful, and the place was clean. They had an assortment of bagged cookies, crème brûlée's, mousse cups and different types of cakes. They do add cinnamon to their choc chip and choc chip macadamia cookies- which I wasn't a fan of. The person working even torched my crème brûlée for me. Service was awesome and if I ever decided to come back to this island this would be one of my first stops.

Aloha I bought some sweets from here this morning walked in the girl was sitting now , I know I interrupted her even tho she's at work I asked for a few things and I was still deciding she asked me 4 times is that all omg I like to look decide what I like .. I know I was a bother to this place , back when it first opened I was there mostly everyday buying sweets the service has not changed still indifferent! I don't know care how good a food place is if they can't be friendly to their customers enough who is supporting local businesses why should I even buy anything from them. The sweets are delicious. It's not a friendly place tho!

Creme Brulee, mango Mousse & chocolate Mousse.

Amazing pastries at unheard of prices. I forgot to photograph the cream puffs, but they're delicious and just over $1 each. Everything I tried was sooo good!

We visited Kauai for the day from Honolulu. We mentioned to my brother that we like desserts. He surprised us with an assortment of delicious goodies. These puffs are definitely something to buy. Well, all of them should be. Get it!

4.5 stars for the banana pudding…read more Came in for some before my flight out of Kauai and it was divine! I LOVED that thick layer of homemade graham cracker in the middle. The pudding was just a tiny bit greasy but the flavor was great and not overly sweet--I still ate the whole cup by myself in one quick sitting, yum! I would have loved more bananas in the pudding, but I did like how they were cut up into small pieces so the focus stayed on the pudding. Service was friendly and they had a whole tray of banana pudding ready to go. Free parking available all around the shopping plaza, conveniently located close to an ABC store and across from the famous Musubi Truck.

I got a banana matcha and a bagel sandwich while my friend got a banana bread and black coffee with coconut syrup. My portion was $21 for the matcha and the sandwich. I thought the matcha was decent! The banana flavor is a syrup and it reminds me of the banana candies. The matcha wasn't too milky. The bagel sandwich lacked flavor for me. I might just be too used to salt but I did find that the egg portion wasn't super flavorful. I did appreciate that the bagel was quite soft. Overall, it was alright! There is plenty of free parking in the area. The lines can get long even at 7 am on the week day.

That being said, this felt like one of the few third wave coffee shops that exists on the island. I wanted to find an issue with this spot, because I'm always looking for something to be critical over. With the exception of the matcha shortage, they pretty much served all of my needs. I didn't get any pastries, but they looked really good. The decor was great. It was a light wood accented sterile floor concrete look. I gotta say, I love that kind of vibe. The service was great! It was a little busier when we walked in, and there were a few people in line, but it moved quickly, and we ordered promptly as such. I got my standard short iced latte (or an iced flat white), and waited patiently. It came out soon, and I started to sip! Super inoffensive and tasty. It felt like a very middle ground medium roast espresso, so no complaints there! Good stuff, I say. If you want that 3rd Wave experience, this is certainly one way to do it on the island!

We stopped by on a Tuesday around 8:30AM and got our pick of malasadas to try out! Kauai Bakery is located in a shopping plaza with plenty of ample parking, making it very easy to stop by and grab some delicious pastries. Service is like your typical bakery, you pick what you would like and they get it to you so you can stuff your face immediately after purchase. Ambiance is cozy with plenty of pastries to pick from in the large display case. We got 4 flavors of Malasadas for $16, which is $4 per doughnut, which I think is a decent price for the size and heft. The flavors we sampled were Lilikoi, Coconut, and Guava - out of these flavors, the coconut one was my personal favorite! The flavor was exactly what I would want anything coconut cream flavor should taste, creamy texture with a pleasant coconut taste that didn't taste artificial at all. It captured the floral background taste that is missing from a lot of coconut desserts that makes coconut so pleasing to eat! The Lilikoi one was my next favorite, it had a slight tartness and a more subtly pronounced flavor - I think I was looking for something stronger personally. Lastly was the guava one, which actually tasted a bit artificial and didn't have a pronounced flavor at all, which was unfortunate. Despite this critique, I would still glady inhale 2 or 3 of them because the dough was really pillowy and really enjoyable to eat. I think that the pastries here (at least the malasadas) are very solid and priced competitively vs most things here on Kauai. I would totally come back to get several more of the malasadas as well as try the other pastry options on the menu. Stop by and give this bakery a try if you are in the area!

We ordered the Lilikoi, Haupia, and Ube malasadas -- and WOW. All of them were so good, but the ube was our favorite! Soft, fluffy, perfectly sweet, and filled with so much flavor. You can really taste the freshness. The employees were also so sweet and kind, which made the experience even better. It's always nice to feel welcomed, especially early in the morning. Another big plus is the private parking lot with plenty of spaces -- super convenient! There's also lots of outdoor seating in a courtyard surrounded by beautiful plumeria trees (and some friendly chickens walking around), which adds to the whole island charm. Such a delicious and peaceful spot to start your day -- we'd definitely come back again!

Unfortunately being from Oahu with having Leonard's Bakery malasadas, these malasadas were rather mid compared to that. The guava filling was the artificially flavored type. But other than that it was a decent/above average sweet treat. The malasadas itself I'd say was 3 stars. However, the star was the Java Chip Mocha Frappuccino. The thing I loved most about it was that the java chips were small enough where it never got stuck in the straw and was evenly consistent with every sip. By far the best java chip mocha frappuccino in my book! I'd come back for this one. It made starbucks seem mid tbh. Service was friendly and efficient. And the ambiance, though quite small it was fresh with the smell of a malasadas bakery :) Plus a few tables and plenty parking outside. Overall I'd give it a 4 stars. Definitely coming back for that java chip frappuccino YUM!!!
