This is in the strip mall, so be mindful of expectation. That does not take away from the fact that our drink and the service was great. It's a quaint little eatery, we saw more locals than tourist so that was a nice change. We got the Lava Flow ( Strawberry, coconut, pineapple base, strawberry wall, topped with whip cream and Strawberry Drizzle) and I love Thai (Thai Tea) , will definitely try more flavors next go around.

On our last evening in Kauai we were craving a sweet treat and discovered this little gem in a shopping center. The desert we shared was delicious!! We ordered a waffle like treat with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some fruit on top. We recommend it!!

The place is great I come here frequently, the food is really good and so are the drinks. The service is good too. And a very nice ambiance is cool with the boba stickers and stuff. Over all a really good spot.

I love coming here to eat and always order an iced milk tea to go with the meal. Their milk tea tastes really good and authentic, just like they do in Taiwan. My favorite food dishes are the fried chicken wings, sweet potato fries, and the original flavored bubble waffle. Service is great and Patty is always eager to help with food/drink recommendations if you can't decide. She is really nice and alway super sweet! This place is spacious so it's perfect for families and groups. I know many go there for their drinks but make sure you also try their food the next time you go!

    Nice treat with my youngest:)

Well I think this place gets 4 stars because they offer several flavors and good variety...also shaved ice! Overall, prices are reasonable.

Absolutely amazing teas, food and desserts. Amazing quality and the best dessert we've had in Kauai! 10 out of 10 I'd recommend. I may fly back for more shortly.

The service was OK, with the food being OK. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the mall, and was fairly hopping when we stopped in. We got lucky and got assigned a window table. The food as a whole was OK, with tourist prices. The Kalua Pork Sandwich ($20) was served on buttered texas toast and came with deeply battered french fries. The strawberry milk shake ($9) was not good: tasted ice in it which didn't make sense since it was marketed as a MILK shake. The edamame appetizer ($11) was a good beginning and we used that as our base. I got a bowl of the seafood chowder ($16) and it was a generous amount, very thick with plenty of clam and fish pieces, and it tasted good. Service was OK and we paid at the table using our credit card (no credit card surcharge here).

The service was outstanding from the hostess, bar tenders, chefs and our wonderful server, Kapua!! She was so friendly and always checked on us without being intrusive. We have been on the island for 6 nights. Each evening we have tried Mai Tai's. Lava Lava's are by far the best!!! They are not too sweet and a good pour! We got there early as the other reviews said it gets crowded and they do not take reservations. We arrived at 5 pm on a Wednesday and were seated right away closest to the beach. For our starter we had edamame which was a large portion and so good. My husband ordered the Chicken Pineapple Rice Bowl and substituted the chicken for the coconut shrimp. The rice was AMAZING as well as the shrimp, but our only complaint was the portion was very small and was served with only 3 shrimp. The picture looks like you get a lot, but it came in a carved out SMALL pineapple. The presentation was beautiful though. I had the Ceasar salad and added chicken. It was so good!!! The lettuce was so crisp! Nothing worse than a Ceasar salad with wilty romaine lettuce. I've had plenty of those in my day. This was one of the best I've ever had! Everything arrived in a timely manner. We had a great night. Side note...they offer free valet parking which is at the very top of the parking lot. I have nothing but high praises for Lava Lava's beach club!! You must check it out for yourself. You will be so happy you did!

We came in with a large party of 15, and everything was handled seamlessly. The food was delicious across the board. The kids loved the chicken tenders and fries, and for myself, I ordered the lobster tempura to start along with the chili crunch poke--both were incredible, especially the poke, which was super fresh and full of flavor. The wine list included lots of options that I don't often see by the glass, such as Chenin Blanc and Albarino. The Aperature Chenin Blanc was so tasty alongside appetizers and seabass. For starters, we had the short rib potsticker (5 to an order with a peanutty curry sauce on top), and focaccia, which came with balsamic and olive oil, plus roasted garlic cloves. The chewy texture was great, it almost seemed air fried. Entrees: 2 kid's shells with cheese (mac'n cheese) generous portions, and no grief over 15 to ordering off children's menu. Also, the filet and seabass entrees. One came with mashed potatoes, one with rice, but we swapped. Could have with both choy, or sub in green beans. The filet was cooked perfectly to our liking at medium, and very tender. I'm not sure on the size, but it was plenty. The seabass came with 2 large pieces of fish. About half got eaten, it was so delicious, but the buttery texture made it very filling, so hey! Lunch today. Possibly the best aspect of the dinner, topping the food and divine weather, was our server, Ali'i He went above and beyond, chatting to the kids and myself, plus on point recommendations, and speedy water fills and checking in. He brought me wine tastes, solit a virgin daiquiri for my girls, and generally brought a spirit of Aloha. Great place for weddings, too. We had a late lunch here. The menu is standard American fair and local dishes. I had cream of mushroom soup and a burger. The soup was pretty good, until I found undissolved clumps of flour at the bottom. My personal preference was if for it to have not been pureed as much, but that didn't affect taste. They kindly took the soup off the bill even though I didn't ask for that, given I had eaten most of it. The burger was also good, cooked to order. I chose fried for my side and they came out hot and tasty. It was a large portion, too, so much that I still had some left even after sharing. Everyone else enjoyed their meals and we had a little time to wander about through some of the shops and buy gifts. Some shops are upstairs, and there is no elevator. Im guessing there must be a ramp somewhere to get you to the restaurant at least, although I didn't readily see it. If you need the ramp you may want you call ahead to ascertain its location. Nice place for special occasions and for tourists that won't totally break the bank.
