Finally had the chance! Was in the Mount Rose area this morning and remembered about Coffeebar! Picked up several drinks which included a chai latte, vanilla latte (they make their own syrups, so good!) and an iced vanilla/Carmel latte. The drinks were very good! Chai is not what I expected that's for sure! It's was good but not sweet enough for my liking. Coffee Lattes were perfect! Strong and tasty! I got an avocado toast with an added egg and bacon. Very tasty and highly recommend! They have a case full of pastries which is my favorite! I am a huge sucker for sweets! Got a cherry filled croissant and it was Amazing! So buttery, warm and flaky and full of flavor. The baristas and staff are all very nice and helpful. They had great drink and food recommendations. The atmosphere was very nice, relaxing and quiet. Delicious drinks. Their plain latte is really good, but I also love trying their seasonal drinks. Food is pretty good. Avocado toast is tasty but the breakfast burrito is just average. Overall a bit pricey, but you're paying for the consistency of quality, friendly service, great ambience to chill with friends, and excellent drink menu. Wi-Fi isn't the fastest, so it's not the best place to get work done that requires the internet. Nonetheless, always such a treat to come here. read more

Love the cheerful staff, the quiet, off-rush-time vibes inside or on the patio, and the mindful, healthy, tasty offerings whether gourmet coffee, herbal tea, the fresh-baked muffins or (my favorite) the Quinoa Bowl. On a trip back to Reno, I stopped in and somehow forgot my laptop in its black case! Very poor experience. I walked out very sad and disappointed. We ordered avocado toast and a quinoa bowl and it took a long time to even get them. Once we got them we were surprised by how they looked. They were out of sweet potato hash so the quinoa bowl had no substance. The avocado toast was on super thick bread and drenched in olive oil. I could not even eat the egg because of the funky olive oil taste. This was overall a very bad experience and I don't see us ever returning. read more

I went here for the first time on a Monday afternoon and it was packed. That is always a good sign, but only two tables were available so my friend and I snatched one up. We both got a seasonal special of Apple Cider Chai and it was so dreamy smooth with amazing flavor. It wasn't quite hot enough for me, but I could deal with that. I ordered the 8 oz and that was definitely too small. I could have drank a gallon. After foam it was probably 6.5oz and gone in just a few sips. Very tasty though. read more

This was my first time at Coffeebar Reno. I've been trying to check out all the coffee shops for getting work done. I went on a weekday a little after lunch. This place was really nicely decorated. There's an area in the back and the front. What I love is that there's a decent sized menu of healthy options for brunch. I'm used to going to a coffee shop and only being able to get a muffin or a croissant. The peppermint mocha was on their seasonal menu. The flavors were very subtle which is a good change from the sugar loaded versions I'm used to. I think this place would be great for a coffee date with a friend or significant other. I lowered the stars because it wasn't ideal for getting work done. It's very busy. Finding a seat was hard and when I found one it was in front of the cold door. I thought it'd be fine, but with how busy the place was the door was opening and closing constantly. I also didn't see a whole lot of outlets which is one of the major things I look for in a coffee shop. I'd like to go back when it's less busy and look again though because I might've missed them with how crowded it was. I had planned on going there for 3 hours but only could handle 1 with how busy it was. I've been here a few times and never understood why I haven't reviewed it till now. This time around I had some out of town guests who wanted a nice coffee and a pastry. Since I try to take people to places that I know are a sure thing I immediately took them here. My father was happy to see that most of everything was locally sourced and the baristas knew what they were talking about when asked coffee questions, he is very picky about his coffee. He went with a Guatemalan blend and enjoyed it. He enjoys full bodied Colombian coffees and the Guatemalan was a very similar substitute. My sister enjoyed the fact that they serve alcohol as well as coffee and went with a Mimosa and a Raspberry & Chocolate Macaroon. She enjoyed both and they didn't skimp on the drink. My daughter had a cold brew coffee and a Paleo Pumpkin Bread. I couldn't get a picture of the Bread because she ate it so quickly lol. I ordered my tried and true Chai Late and Avocado Toast with the addition of a Poached Egg and Pea Shoots and Pumpkin Seeds. Both are just great. It's a great quick breakfast that will get you thru the morning and not make you feel bloated or tired. My only complaint is it's always busy and so I have to share a table but that's not Coffeebars fault, they are really good and should be busy. TLDR: Inexpensive coffee with expensive baked goods! We ordered the gluten free maple donut ($3.25) and espresso caramel bar ($3.75). It's a little expensive for snacks, but their coffee seemed to be a good price. My GF maple donut was very sweet, even though I love sweet and normally can tolerate quite high amount of sweetness. I bearly finished it, luckily the size wasn't too big. Plus, the texture was more like maple cake instead of a regular donut. The espresso caramel bar tasted very strong coffee flavor which my wife loves. The caramel wasn't too sweet and the bottom layer (looks like cheesecake crust) brought more texture to enhance the entire flavor. My wife enjoyed it a lot. The decor was modern and yuppie, lots of people were hanging out there with the computers or friends. Location wise was a little confusing, the entrance was at the corner but wasn't very clear from the parking lot. I've tried all of the "bougie" coffee places here in town so you don't have to: this one is the best by far. You can tell right away that the baristas here know what they're doing. The milk is steamed perfectly (if you're a latte lover like myself), the syrup appears to be homemade and not overly sweet, and the espresso itself is really good. I'm sure it helps that the roastery is around the corner, so the beans are probably super fresh. The selection of pastries is nice and they always have something new and unique. We came in for a meeting I'm always unsure of going to coffee shops for a meeting because they tend to be loud. Anyways, we sat down in the patio, way in the back,. There's a huge table with beautiful succulents in the middle, enough shade and felt like we had a private meeting, people kept coming in and out but kept going to the next section of the patio. Coffeebar was such a gem to find for breakfast on our way out of Reno. My son and I are vegan and couldn't find many options for breakfast at other places other than the typical overpriced fruit cups. The lovely barista at the register offered us 3 yummy vegan muffin options, as well as 3 plant milks to choose from for my latte and son's cocoa (the chocolate syrup was vegan, according to the barista on bar). I chose a choco chip banana muffin for my son and a pumpkin apple muffin for me! My very picky little vegan boy loves them both! ;) My latte was delicious and the environment was relaxing and cozy despite it being a bit busy. I visited the Coffee Bar recently, and I was not impressed with the service. The coffee and other offerings are par with what you'd expect from a good coffee bar. Also, the patio seating area is nice. My wife ordered a mocha and I a drip brew. The drinks were okay. Because finding good coffee in Reno isn't hard these days, I also base my opinions on quality of service. The Coffee Bar fell short for me. My expectation when ordering drip coffee is to receive it fairly quickly, which did not happen. At first, I assumed that their practice is to complete the entire order before serving it up, which seems somewhat reasonable. However, while waiting for our order, the order taker promptly served up drip coffee to a customer that ordered after us. Then, after the mocha I ordered was served up, the drip coffee was not, and the barista went on to the next order. She plainly forgot it. I immediately brought the forgotten item to her attention, and instead taking a few seconds to pour me a cup of coffee, she expected me to wait, so she could complete the order she started. Conclusion, poor customer service. If you want a decent coffee drink, the Coffee Bar will suffice, and hopefully, you won't experience the poor service I received. That said, I won't be patronizing the Coffee Bar anytime soon as I know of many other establishments where I've consistently experienced better service. read more

Based off the reviews on Yelp, I was excited to try this place. However, I found my visit to be rather disappointing. The staff working here was very friendly and prompt, but the drinks and snacks were very subpar. I ordered a chai tea latte, and it was one of the worst I've ever had. It was extremely watery, bland, and had a strange aftertaste to it. I couldn't taste any chai in it whatsoever, but just a hint of sugar and milk. Very disappointing for a coffee shop. I also got a gluten-free maple donut. It was okay, but a tad too sweet. I also took a vegetarian burrito to-go, and I was very disappointed. There was a huge glob of cheese, some scattered mushrooms, and a scant of rice and beans. It was not a well-constructed burrito, and it left an unsettling feeling in my stomach. On the positive side of things, the people working here are extremely friendly and accommodating. The ambience is also very trendy and comforting. Cool place to run into locals. Lattes are consistently good and also unique. The lavender latte is one of a kind. It's one of the only places in Reno that serves straight matcha tea. The baristas here are always friendly. The layout is slightly awkward with no real waiting area. It does seem like you catch a lot of attention when you walk in due to an overly large crowd with wandering eyes. If you enjoy being on center stage then you'll love this. If not then just make sure you're on your game before stepping inside and embrace the stares. They have two outside patios both of which provide a nice escape from the crowd inside. The coffee is mediocre. It is not the best place to get an americano or cold brew. The flavor always seems flat and stale but still trumps restaurant coffee. Their bakery items do look lovely, but after trying a couple items the taste doesn't match the aesthetics. We haven't personally tried any of the kitchen dishes, but they always look appetizing and smell delicious so that's a plus. read more

I spent a few hours here on a lazy Sunday. It was pretty busy but we were able to find a table outside at one of the communal tables. I ended up liking their food more than their drinks but I think it's just a matter of my personal taste. I appreciated that their baked goods were clearly marked if they are gluten free. I loved the lemon bar, it was not too crumbly and the perfect amount of tartness. I highly recommend the avocado toast with the poached egg. They make their bread in house. The egg was cooked perfectly so that It was not running all over the place. The whole dish was seasoned really well. I tried a chai which I didn't end up finishing because of the spices they used. We ended up staying so long that I got an iced tea on the way out. I am pretty sure that I got a black iced tea, this too had an odd flavor, it probably was just a type of black tea I am not used to but I would have liked to know what it was before ordering. I love coming here whenever I need to study. The atmosphere during brunch time is busy and loud, but most other times it's calm and peaceful. The staff here are super friendly - whenever I come in they always ask how my day is going and are patient when I'm indecisive when deciding what to drink...because all the drinks are so good!
