PDX sandwich and a black & white mocha
Samantha L.

Adorable little shop. They were BUSY but they got everything out so quickly and the baristas were so nice. Food and coffee tasted great.

Great fresh food and coffee! Wonderful friendly service complemented by the seasonal decor.

Absolutely LOVE Coffee Station. All the sandwiches are delicious and the coffee is amazing. I usually get the PDX and an iced Soccer Mom

LDA breakfast sandwich.

Use to go here for the LDA sandwich with sausage, homemade biscuit, egg and caramelized onion... and it was amazing. However, saw on Yelp that they may have changed their biscuits, wanted to give it a try still. The biscuit fell apart with the slightest touch, the caramelized union was a bit bitter and not the slightest sweet. Not the same anymore. Never liked the coffee, tastes watered down, still the same.

Ordered two PDX sandwiches at the drive thru today, but this time there was no bacon and only one small piece of arugula in each sandwich. Not sure if they're cutting back on ingredients or if I received two sandwiches that were sitting there for a while, but these were the saddest sandwiches I've ever gotten here. They were very flat... Usually they look like the picture I uploaded a while back. The coffee is still good tho!!

I normally wait for a month to give a review, but this really is frustrating. From service to food. Note: I have been here since they opened (I'm literary neighbor, walking distance to get here) -- I witness the change of management, staff and server over the last 10 years. There were ups and downs, this is the worst. Got in, there was a customer in front of me, lady#1 took the order - 3-4 minutes probably. Then when it was my turn, she ask for a minute, I said "that's ok". While waiting for my turn, 3 things I already noticed: 1) The girl making drinks can't figure out how to make what ever that redbull/fruit mix (she's probably new, and that's ok, we learn things as we go). But here's the not acceptable thing -- she was giggling and laughing and had to tell the customer that she hasn't made that drink. Like mocking herself or the situation she's in. 2) Lady #2 came from outside after delivering a food (or drink probably), walked inside tried to fix her fitted sleeveless shirt fingers under arm area (trying to pull the sleeveless shirt up probably) with bare fingers -- that sounds ok, right? Here's the next thing: the Lady #1 who got the customers order infront of me asked the Lady#2 for the breakfast sandwich "PDX with only bacon on it". Lady #2 went to the kitchen took baked/cooked 3 bacon strips from a baking pan bare hands, and put it on another corner (where she made the sandwich). I put my head down and trying to control myself to not saying anything and just move on with my business. 3) The girl employee was busted for something, she probably didn't know what to do or probably they realize she had been making mistakes. Though I feel bad for the girl, I wanted to tell her "calm down, there's only one more car in the drive through, Lady#1 is making order for the current drive through customer, Lady#2 is making the order that was infront of me. Take my order instead of standing there". I wish I had said it, but I don't want her to get in trouble more. So she took my order, I said "small cappuccino and a Jill, I'd like the cappuccino in a mug please since I'm gonna sit here and eat." She asked if I wanted Jill on a muffin, biscuit or crossaint (? I really don't remember the 3rd thing she said). To which I responded "a biscuit please, thank you!" I paid and left the counter. She started grabbing a cup and writing cappuccino, I stop her and reminded her gently "a mug please, I'm sitting and eating here". She responded by saying "oh sorry, I forgot" and returned the cup and trying to find a mug at the back. She then just asked Lady#2 to make cappuccino in a mug. The girl who took my order shouted "Jill please" (towards the kitchen, Lady#1 was there) before taking the next customer order. Lady #1 asked "on a muffin?", the girl responded "ahh yes, a muffin". I heard it and told her "a biscuit please". She then again said "oh sorry sorry", and told Lady#2 biscuit. While the cappuccino is good (hence the 2 star) just look at the Jill breakfast sandwich, it's also not the same taste like before, no more of that caramelized onion and egg is over cooked. The biscuit bread falls crumbling while I eat. I won't be making my regular rounds here for a while, I'll wait for it to get better again.

We got one americano and one cappuccino, both were decent

Spent..more like wasted nearly $6 on a latte. I asked for not sweet, very little syrup and got a extra, sickeningly sweet drink.

There is a Starbucks nearby (they're everywhere anyway). If you don't want to pay a fortune, or wait ages, visit this place.

Concha was amazing and not dry at all. The classic breakfast sandwich was also delicious! They don't skimp out on the portion. There were so many other pastries I also wanted try, but I guess I'll have to be back!

Finally got to come check out this new location in downtown Beaverton! (This is the old Pip's Donut…read morespace) I usually get their concha at the farmers market but it's nice to see more options at this brick and mortar bakery. Street parking only so it can be tricky during busy times (side note Canard is just across the street from here too!) The order counter is still the same but they rebranded the space with colorful murals against black backgrounds. As soon as you walk in, you see the plentiful selection of baked goods including turnovers, danishes, puffs, croissant, cookies, muffins, and various specialty breads. We came around Christmas time so it was so fun for my toddler to get the red and green concha! We ordered the chicken mole sandwich on a sesame baguette to share (Tu Mero Mole $14) - it was pretty big so it was plenty of food for me and my friend. Although I wish they had a "combo" option that came with a side (either chips or pastry) and a drink. The beans overpowered the chicken with not much avocado jalapeño salsa, and the queso fresco didn't add more flavor to it. Honestly the best part was the pickled onion and the fluffy yet crunchy sesame baguette. The pastries range between $3-$6 each which is very reasonable and we got 2 Conchas and 2 Guava Turnovers - both were very tasty and not too sweet! I would come back and try the other sandwiches and other popular pastries next time!

We arrived just before the dinner rush and were promptly seated. The menu is quite varied and includes some non-Vietnamese choices. Unfortunately, they did not serve my favorite, banh xeo. We ordered the lobster wontons, but quite honestly, I could not tell there was lobster in them because the cream cheese dominated. The broken rice pork chop plate was delicious, especially with the crispy fried egg on top of the rice. The combo bun was substantial with pork, chicken, char siu and shrimp and was quickly polished off by the man in our party. The $3 Asahi and Obsidian stout beers were a bonus. The dragon mural is compelling as you walk in to the restaurant. I did find some of the lighting rather garish, particularly around the front counter, but otherwise it was pleasant. Service was friendly and attentive. One of my companions really enjoyed the pho broth so I will have to go back to try that. Overall, a solid edition to the Hillsboro/Aloha neighborhood.

Elephants is a bright, airy, and inviting space with yummy treats, meals, and fun gifts. As we're new to the area, we weren't sure where to find high-quality Italian deli meats. I love their focaccia, and we were delighted to find a small but mighty selection of imported Italian deli meats. Our favorites are the mortadella and hot coppa. On Sunday, my partner chose the staff pick of the day: Levoni salami- a must try! The deli folks are artisans! They slice and package the meats to perfection. It's like opening a gift when we get home to assemble our sandwiches. All of the peeps working at Elephants are friendly and knowledgeable. I got some pro tips on pairings when they cut the focaccia for me! We also picked up some macarons- chocolate, Earl Grey, and animal cracker flavors. I was silly-happy when they had Earl Grey macarons this time! Look forward to going there in the morning, trying a coffee drink and pastry, and enjoying the adorable patio. I had gelato at NW 22nd, so I know that pistachio flavor is molto bene. I look forward to enjoying some gelato at this location, too.
