1/2/2025 - I cannot believe the marionberry scone that looked this amazing had no flavor.
Mikhail H.

I go through bouts where I just cannot get around well due to tissue damage. This week was one of those weeks and I wanted a bit of a naughty breakfast with a croissant sandwich - but something quality, not the drive through type. I have seen this spot come up before and had not heard of it or that it is a cute little place not far. Looks told me that it would be amazing when my order arrived and that was 50% accurate. I ate the sandwich, called the California Sunrise and I loved it, except the avocado. I am not sure which other flavor in the sandwich was not cooperating but when I removed the avocado it was far more delicious and usually I love that green fruit on everything. The marionberry scone looked incredible but somehow had so little flavor I just threw it out. I even tried a bit in different places legitimately confused. It tasted, honestly, like flour to the point where I was wondering if someone forgot to put sugar in the dough. It was very disappointing as I was really looking forward to that scone!

Brought in some cookies and pastries for a co-workers bday and they were a huge hit! The cookies and cookies coffee cake were the first to disappear.

I'm embarrassed to admit I never knew this place existed, even though I frequent this shopping center regularly. We were looking for a birthday cake for my mom and my husband suggested this place. I am glad he knew it was there, and here I always thought I was the more observant one, but it turns out this time he was, and I am happy he was. When we saw they had Key Lime Pie on the menu, we knew we had to order it. My mom loves Key Lime Pie, and this one was far superior to any other she's had. It was beautifully decorated with whipped cream and lime slices. The pie was so delicious that it barely lasted a few days! While I didn't try any pastries myself, they all looked incredible. I can't wait to return for a coffee and pastry soon

Bald Eagle and Vanilla Bean Latte

This is the second time I've bought from Bamford Bake Shop and they did a great job once again. I got the Scandinavian Almond Bread (I already ate it before I remembered to take a picture lol ), the Bald Eagle with Avocado added, and a Vanilla Bean Latte with a message that boosted my mood after having a bad start to the morning.

Their baked goods are amazing of course, but, omg, this is the best croissant sandwich I've ever had! Super flaky, warm and delicious. Lovely little shop to sit in and hang out. Very friendly and bring your food and drink to you.

Croissant Breakfast Sandwich

Just moved into the area and Bamford Bakeshop is a short walk away from my new place, so decided to check it out. I've already been here twice in 24 hours! Yesterday I picked up two chocolate chip cookies and a cupcake and everything was to die for, especially the cookies. This morning my boyfriend and I got the croissant breakfast sandwiches and they were AMAZING! He got the bald eagle and I got the Emerald Isle. Highly recommend this place!!!

At this point I've tried a number of things here and every one of them were delicious! The Japanese pancakes were so fluffy and fun, called ahead just to make sure they could make them right after opening but couldn't get through. THEY CALLED ME BACK IMMEDIATELY!! I have never had a food place care enough to actually call back if they miss a call. I was so happy with the pancakes too, nicely made and yummy. Their tiny cakes are all perfect too, I'm in love with each one especially the PDX rose! So bright and flavorful, with a beautiful outside that matches its taste! Can't forget the Japanese Cream Cheese Bun, it's soooooo good and the price matches the taste (aka good price for a good dessert). Not too sweet but still delicious! Just gotta make sure you eat it fresh, forgot to eat my last one for an hour and it got dry but still had its yummy taste. I super recommend this place!!

I was SO looking forward to taking my 10 and 11 year old grandkiddos here. They'd fallen in love…read morewith the fluffy Japanese eggy pancakes on a recent trip there. I added breakfast to this place while they visited me for a few days. We called in our order as instructed on the website. Unfortunately no Boba was available for on the pancakes. When we arrived I was disheartened to find the place rather small either intense heat of a bakery, which made the lone table inside with a meandering fly the least bit welcoming. When adding drinks to our order, the lone man working there asked me a few times whether I really was ordering coffee for a child (and yes, she settled on a mocha when it was determined he only knew how to sprinkle matcha powder on the pancakes, and hadn't a clue as to their application to drinks). My grandson ordered their 'special hot chocolate' which pretty much tasted like watered-down Ovaltine. We sat outside to eat and after a few bites and finding these were nothing like the fluffy Japanese pancakes they'd expected, we threw away $44 worth of what was supposed to be a pleasant breakfast experience. I guess this was a life lesson for the kids, that our expectations aren't always met. And I want to prevent any other adults from making the same mistake I did in taking my business there!

First off, I'm a pretty picky eater. ESPECIALLY when it comes to a quality omelette. Family Cafe…read moretotally blew me away with their omelette (no mushrooms or meat, add potatoes)!! The egg was cooked perfectly and each ingredient complimented the next in a great texture with the egg cooked perfectly. We ate outside with a high chair and it was great. I got the tea while my husband got coffee and we both loved it. The cups are super nice and they're awesome about keeping the tea refilled. With our drinks, we also shared the halawa and it was fantastic. The small sized halawa was perfect for 2 people. The tea and coffee came with sugar as well which was nice, just a great experience. The cost of the meal was also fantastic for what you get. It was totally worth every penny. I recommend you check this spot out, even if you're picky like me!

We came on a Thursday morning right at opening (9am) and were able to snag a table inside for our group. The space is small inside but they do have a few outside tables too which is nice to enjoy in the summer time. Parking is standard street parking right on Broadway. We started out with Turkish coffees and Iraqi Tea. The presentation was beautiful and the complex flavors were so nice to wake our taste buds. We ordered the Beef Mix, Lamb and Eggs, Pastry #2 (hot dog, mushroom, cheese), baclava, and their special halawa to try. They were cooking right by the counter so the whole space filled with delicious aromas while we were waiting for our food. We all had full bellies between 3 adults and 2 kids and took home leftovers! You MUST get the Beef Mix! I don't even know how to describe how delicious this dish is to give it justice but it was definitely the group favorite. It came with salad and yummy boat shaped bread to scoop up all the flavorful goodness. Their house hot sauce took it to the next level. The baklava was the perfect amount of sweetness with the coffee and tea. It was our first time trying a halawa and we all loved the dense texture with a sweet taste. Please do your taste buds a favor and come support this local business!!
