I am so glad my coworker mentioned this place to me and brought the Vietnamese qold brew for me. I am obsessed with this drink! Probably because I really like coconut water and having that and the little coconut chunks makes the coffee delicious. I know it sounds kinda weird/interesting but give it a try! After trying the coffee, I knew I had to stop by and try the food soon. During my visit, I tried the brisket and pulled pork tacos and they are amazing! I'm generally not a huge fan of pulled pork but these are really tender. The brisket was very flavorful without being too fatty. I'll definitely be back for these tacos. Also, the hot sauce is made in house and gives it the perfect kick. I'll definitely be back to try more items soon. I'm sure I have hypertension issues after eating this meal. I ordered a brisket keto bowl and a brisket philly. However I received chopped bell peppers and chopped skirt steak. They didn't even have the courtesy to melt the cheese. One piece is the keto bowl that pretty much went uneaten because it was salty and the other pic is the meat removed from the brisket philly because it was salty and not brisket meat. If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. (Specifically their food truck that came to little woodrows in mid town) They were out of everything, and instead of being empathetic about it they were extremely rude to me and my friends as if we were stupid when ordering. My friend didn't tip because they were VERY rude to her about being out of literally everything and the man said "thanks for the tip, if you have a problem you can talk to the manager". It's one thing to be out of everything, but the way he treated US because THEY were were out of food was absurd. Obviously he would receive a tip if he was nice/kind about the fact that they were out of food. I also was not notified they were out of tortillas and got a message saying "order is ready". I literally ordered a taco... ? I had to find out out from random people around that they were refunding and out of tortillas. Disclaimer for this review: I haven't had a chance to try the food yet, and I don't know why. Their Vietnamese Qold Brew comes pretty close to perfection for me. So I'd say 5 stars for that alone, BUT also... Chris and Julio are simply some of the most passionate food truck owners I've met. I tried this food truck at No Label (Katy) and I would not recommend it if you do not like SUPER SUPER spicy food. I was very disappointed because I spent close to $30 on a panini and a kids chicken quesadilla that was left untouched because of how spicy it was. Nowhere in their menu says that all food comes with SUPER spicy chips, no matter if you decide to throw away the chips the food next to it gets just as spicy. This Coffee-Q food truck parks at the Houston Chronicle building every now and then. I never see anyone order anything from there but I got to work starving this morning and thought I'd give em a chance. I ordered the brisket breakfast taco and gotta say now I know why there's never anyone ordering anything. This taco was lighter than a feather for $5.41. It's a good taco, but it went down in three bites and I'm still starving. I could tell as soon as the guy handed me my taco in a brown paper bag that I'd been ripped off. The bag was so light i wondered if there was anything even in there. But, I peeked in and sure enough, there in the corner was my tiny little taco. $5.41 for this in Houston where you can get a whopping delicious taco at any tacqueria for no more than $3.50. Where to even start with this one? A few weeks ago, I was looking up breakfast places nearby my apartment. I'm aware of the usual (Torchy's, Taco Cabana, Hot Bagel Shop, all delicious and affordable) but I wanted something new and different. Behold! Coffee-Q. Unfortunately, it was the day of some big soccer game in Russia so they weren't nearby for breakfast. Until today! Parked neatly at Levy Park in a prime location, the Coffee-Q truck is easily visible. I had called earlier in the morning to find out if they'd be at Levy Park for breakfast hours and Chris, one of the guys that runs the joint, confirmed yes. I was excited and both he and his partner Julio were supremely nice and friendly in person. As soon as I walked up, I noticed that Julio had given a waiting couple a dog treat for their pup. I introduced myself to Chris and Julio and told them how I was torn between what to order. Being indecisive and changing my order twice, I settled on the breakfast combo: two tacos and a Qold brew beverage. I ordered one pulled pork breakfast taco and one brisket taco and the Vietnamese cold coffee, made with coconut water and condensed milk. Plus, for checking in on Yelp, I received 3 free mini cinnamon rolls. It didn't take long to receive my food and I noticed that Julio stepped out of the truck to give two sitting guys their food right to their table, and tell them about the "other" salsa (a delicious, spicy green tomatillo one). That's premium customer service. I brought my food home and oh man. Absolutely incredible. I usually don't think about BBQ breakfast tacos (like one would find at Rudy's BBQ) but they're so worth it. Each one has well-cooked meat, eggs, sautéed onions and cheese on a thin flour tortilla. The green salsa seals the deal and the Vietnamese iced coffee is a great complement to the tacos. What's nice is that I feel satiated, but not gross or too full. Will definitely be visiting this food truck again, but maybe this time, for lunch! read more

Holy brisket this place is good. I had the pulled pork sandwich on a hawaiian bun - DROOOOL. The bread is so sweet and soft, the coleslaw is pickled just right and the pulled pork is melt in your mouth gooooood! I followed it up with a Vietnamese Qold Brew - coming from a Vietnamese person who drinks a LOT of Viet coffee, it is really good! Fun twist on viet coffee with the coco juice and coco chunks. I loved it! My friend also ordered the Sweet Canela Qold Brew and it was like a little taste of Christmas in a cup. Went when they were at our company as an alternative to a sad lunch I had brought from home. 1 taco and 1 latte cost me $10.50. I was still hungry after and wished I had gone to Starbucks for a cheaper and more satisfying lunch. The vegetarian taco is just a lot of peppers and a mushroom slice, but feels like an after thought to all the meat they serve. It was not worth the $3.50. Haven't tried their coffee, this review is based on the food we got. Tried their breakfast and pork tacos, and they all went to trash. I only took 1 bite of my breakfast taco, it was very greasy, onions and peppers were chopped in huge pieces, just couldn't go through with it even though I was really hungry. My bf took a few bites of his pork taco before throwing it out, he said he didn't feel very good after eating it and it didn't taste so good either. Stopped by after leaving Pitch 25 and tried their Canela Qold brew. I was too full for a pastry or BBQ but man was their cold brew amazing! So I'm in town for the Sounders vs Dynamo match and I've lived in Seattle for 3+ years so I'm a bit of a coffee snob and their coffee was to die for! Excellent subtly sweet notes with an intense flavor and great pairing. It would certainly go well with their pastries and food. I'm gonna have to track them down and try them out again and get some of their food! I highly recommend (5 Stars)! The nachos took me back to my childhood. I grew up in the North and our nacho cheese came out of can, served with Tostitos. I now live in Texas, where there's a very different standard when it comes to nachos. The brisket was alright but did not make up for the rest of the plate. This trip down memory lane cost $12.50 (plus tip). I also got a $4.50 pulled pork breakfast taco that was alright, however it pales in comparison to the $1 tacos I get from the local gas station. I was really excited to try this place. I really like the concept they're going for. Coffee and BBQ are two things that are difficult to get right on their own, so a food truck attempting to conquer both is a feat worth acknowledging. Overall it was pretty "meh". The meat isn't smoked on the truck but rather delivered to them from their smoker offsite. Although the meat was moist and quite tender from 16 hours of curing it had very little flavor. I could neither taste the smoke nor any hint of seasoning. The coffee was also pretty "meh". Better than a cup of Starbucks for sure but not anything to really write home about.
