I'm writing this review right after leaving this truck. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla basket and a cold brew coffee and it took 35 minutes to get two items. First off, the quesadilla was awful, no flavor whatsoever and the cheese wasn't even melted. Then they forgot my coffee. I also witnessed, while waiting in line, the workers having a clear attitude with people waiting to order. HOWEVER, my biggest reason for leaving this bad review is because upon receiving my food, I noticed there was ROACHES crawling all over the bags of chips and other items. This is simply unacceptable for a place that serves FOOD. I have now seen other reviews also mentioning roaches , so clearly this has been an issue. I will not be eating here ever again. read more

I visited this truck twice. 1x at my apartment complex & 1x at Little Woodrow's Midtown. On my last visit at LWM, I had been craving some bbq loaded nachos and so I asked them if I can do pulled pork or brisket on my nachos. They made it happen with what they had for me and I was happy. Unfortunately it was just something about it that it wasn't that great to me that I did not finish them. As for their elotes, I was told that it comes cold but I'm used to it being warm. So they were very kind to warm it up but it wasn't hot & just basically stuck to my teeth. I gave 3 stars for their efforts & generosity. Maybe I'll try something else when I come across them again. This was my first time trying this food truck. The truck was painted black and I had to ask the gentleman working what the name of the truck was. Just looking at the truck did now make me want to eat from it, but the employees were nice so I asked about the menu items. I decided to order the brisket quesadillas, they can with only pico and a side of chips. My total can to about $16. Look at this picture and tell me it was worth the money. The food was horrible, the cheese was burnt. The chips didn't come in a bag. The chips looked like they took a small hand portion and put it in the container. They were not plain chips and didn't tell me what kind they were. It could have been something I was allergic to so I didn't eat them. Overall I will rate this truck a 1 out of 10. The food, lacked taste, presentation, an flavor. The ambiance was just dark-nothing that makes you want to check out the food on the truck. And the food definitely wasn't worth the price. They were large, but it turned out they were 4 dollars each. Ouch. This would be more of a value if I had gotten a meat version but I am a vegetarian. They were dry as expected with tots, that I asked for sauce for the last two. They gave me green salsa, but that should have been pro forma. As for previous complaints about their asking for a tip, the guy didn't ask me but I understand why it had happened in the past. Coffee-Q came to our company for food truck Friday. I checked out the yelp page prior to going down to see them and saw they give you a free pastry if you check-in on Yelp. When I went down there, I checked in and upon ordering, they helped me decide what to order. I got the tacos and a coffee included in the combo. The brisket taco was good, but I really enjoyed the pulled pork taco. The pulled pork was tender and was bursting with flavor. As for the coffee, he gave me a sample of the Vietnamese cold brew with coconut pieces. Normally, I do not like anything coconut in my coffee, but I gotta say, this is one of the most delicious coffees I've ever tasted. It's also not overly sweet, which I really like. While waiting for the tacos, he also gave me a sample of their pumpkin chai latte. I'm definitely getting that one next time. It was velvety and smooth. It had a little chai spice that was just perfect with the light pumpkin flavor. My free pastry was a full sized pastry. I got the apple fritter. I'm definitely going to be enjoying this during the Friday afternoon lull. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. The food and coffee were delicious. The owner was very nice and attentive. I loved the samples and also that the food was placed in a paper bag. This made it easy to transport back to the office without exposing my lunch to the elements. It's really cold out today. Some grilled or even minced raw onions would be nice too. Maybe even some cilantro? Ok, what I'm really asking for is some sort of dank hot sauce to put on it. I'm not a coffee person, but man is this coffee great. Canela Qold Brew + their Vietnamese Qold Brews are incredible, I've yet to try their Vanilla Qold Brew, but that's next!! The food: The brisket taco was good. It had a tangy, smokey flavor. It wasn't super tender, but it wasn't tough either. I would say it is quite average for a brisket taco. The chocolate muffin was good but I've never been one to turn down a chocolate muffin. They gave it to us for free for checking in on Yelp. The coffee: I tried their Vietnamese cold brew, which ended up being as weird as one would expect from a coffee with coconut chunks in it. It was certainly unique, but it wasn't amazing. I think it's actually pretty hard to get Vietnamese coffee right. When done wrong, it gets pretty beany and loses that kick that makes it so unique. Overall: The guys working here were super friendly. I enjoyed talking to them and getting to know more about what they offer. My biggest issue is the pretty inconvenient location (randomly off the freeway by discount tire). The food and coffee are decent, and I would be more inclined to go back if they were in a more interesting spot. It was so delicious I forgot to take a picture. The guys that worked there were so nice though business has slowed down tremendously. They were asked to serve just two selections of entrees, which they decided should be a choice of a Quesadilla or Sandwich, either Brisket or Pulled Pork for either. The kids. Loved. It.! This is a prep high school, and all boys -- so needless to say, they have their preferences and can be very choosy. The adults were just as delighted; in fact, as mentioned, we had requested this simple menu solely to allow for a quicker ordering process due to having 600+ people at the event. They STILL brought coffee and pastries, kindly offering them to our faculty, which was just above and beyond. The adults at our school loved them. I heard nothing but amazing reviews from everyone. I did not get to sample their food - sadly - but I did hear excellent commentary re: portion, quality, and taste. I personally can attest to their professionalism; Coffee Q is run by two guys who have a serious love for BBQ and it's just about that simple. This place had a food truck at White Oak Music hall and they take advantage of a captive audience that is not allowed to leave during an 8 hour music festival. They charged SIXTEEN DOLLARS (plus tax!!) For "nachos" that consisted of about 8 round tortilla chips smothered in cheap liquid cheese with a palty serving of off color, weird tasting "beef" SIXTEEN DOLLARS, for something even a sports arena would charge less for and serve a better product. Totally shady of them to charge these prices for a captive audience that has no choice to eat there. Shameful ownership, horrific food and predatory pricing of hungry people that cannot go elsewhere for food.
