The food took about 30 minutes after ordering but I gotta say the Hawaiian pork taco was solid. It had a decent amount of heat to balance the sweetness and the slaw on top was great. Definitely try it. read more

Service was fast and friendly The food was okay. The meat was very dry, like I'd had sitting out all day. Pico was just onions and tomatoes, no spice. I will say there was a lot of meat which was a good thing They where out of the kettle chips so the gave us nacho chips. Was disappointed in that. read more

I'm writing this review right after leaving this truck. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla basket and a cold brew coffee and it took 35 minutes to get two items. First off, the quesadilla was awful, no flavor whatsoever and the cheese wasn't even melted. Then they forgot my coffee. I also witnessed, while waiting in line, the workers having a clear attitude with people waiting to order. HOWEVER, my biggest reason for leaving this bad review is because upon receiving my food, I noticed there was ROACHES crawling all over the bags of chips and other items. This is simply unacceptable for a place that serves FOOD. I have now seen other reviews also mentioning roaches , so clearly this has been an issue. I will not be eating here ever again. read more

I visited this truck twice. 1x at my apartment complex & 1x at Little Woodrow's Midtown. On my last visit at LWM, I had been craving some bbq loaded nachos and so I asked them if I can do pulled pork or brisket on my nachos. They made it happen with what they had for me and I was happy. Unfortunately it was just something about it that it wasn't that great to me that I did not finish them. As for their elotes, I was told that it comes cold but I'm used to it being warm. So they were very kind to warm it up but it wasn't hot & just basically stuck to my teeth. I gave 3 stars for their efforts & generosity. Maybe I'll try something else when I come across them again. This was my first time trying this food truck. The truck was painted black and I had to ask the gentleman working what the name of the truck was. Just looking at the truck did now make me want to eat from it, but the employees were nice so I asked about the menu items. I decided to order the brisket quesadillas, they can with only pico and a side of chips. My total can to about $16. Look at this picture and tell me it was worth the money. The food was horrible, the cheese was burnt. The chips didn't come in a bag. The chips looked like they took a small hand portion and put it in the container. They were not plain chips and didn't tell me what kind they were. It could have been something I was allergic to so I didn't eat them. Overall I will rate this truck a 1 out of 10. The food, lacked taste, presentation, an flavor. The ambiance was just dark-nothing that makes you want to check out the food on the truck. And the food definitely wasn't worth the price. I wouldn't recommend this food truck to anyone. read more

The owner/cashier was so nice and very informative. He came out of the truck and checked up on us as we enjoyed our meal. You could tell he was super passionate about his establishment. Best service I've recieved from a food truck! (5/5): HABANERO BRISKET TACO: This was our favorite! The brisket was very well cooked. Extremely moist and flavorful. The pieces of habanero added a nice heat but it wasn't too spicy. Would definitely get this again. (5/5): BREAKFAST SMOKED TACOS COMBO: Got one brisket and one pulled pork taco along with the SWEET CANELA QOLD BREW. The tacos were garnished with tomatoes and onions. The pulled pork was so tender. They have a green and red salsa. The cold brew was the perfect amount of sweetness. (4/5): BRISKET QUESADILLA: A little greasy but flavor was on point. Good for sharing. We also got the EGGNOG LATTE. If you're worried about it being too sweet, they were kind enough to adjust to your liking. When you CHECK IN on Yelp you get a FREE pastry. The CREAM CHEESE DANISH was the best I've had. It was a sweet ending to our meal. They can make breakfast items in the afternoon. It just might take a little bit longer because they have to make the eggs. They make good breakfast tacos. I bought 3 egg, tots (potato), and cheese not knowing how large they were or even the price since the prices were not on the menu. They were large, but it turned out they were 4 dollars each. Ouch. This would be more of a value if I had gotten a meat version but I am a vegetarian. They were dry as expected with tots, that I asked for sauce for the last two. They gave me green salsa, but that should have been pro forma. As for previous complaints about their asking for a tip, the guy didn't ask me but I understand why it had happened in the past. Their touchscreen system is not accessible to the customer where normally the customer could sign off on a credit card and add a tip. read more

SAVE YOUR MONEY! STAY AWAY!! First Lady taking the order looked pissed off angry at the world and still wanted a tip?? Second no sour cream no salsa but you're serving tex mex food. We asked gor jalapeños on the side that didn't mean in the quesadilla and salsa does not mean cholula sauce. If that's your interpretation of salsa just stop it and stop it right now that's an abomination to the Latin culture and tex mex cuisine. So overall food is a 0 and service is a 0!! $16 for a quesdilla no fixings and a bag of chips just ain't it! read more

We went to the Astro's game 6 and to celebrate the win the coffee truck was parked outside the team store the next day. The street tacos came in a set of two, along with the coffee and lemonade were a great to go breakfast. I checked in on yelp and they offered a free cookie which was cool. We will be back to Houston, Texas and I will have to hunt them down! read more

The guy taking my order was SO nice! I told him it was my first time and he suggested the quesadilla. I ordered it with brisket and it was delicious and came with some bbq kettle chips. I also ordered the elote which was tasty but not spicy - and even got a free qold brew by checking in with yelp! The qold brew was refreshing and not overly sweet, I was a fan. Greasy, greasy, and even more grease is the best way to describe my lunch. I ordered a habanero pulled pork taco ($4.50 for one regular sized soft taco) when I opened it, the grease was pouring out so much so that the tortilla broke apart! I tried eating just the meat inside but I took two bites and just threw it away. There was a lot of fatty pieces and the flavor wasn't worth trying to eat through it. Coffee-Q came to our company for food truck Friday. I checked out the yelp page prior to going down to see them and saw they give you a free pastry if you check-in on Yelp. When I went down there, I checked in and upon ordering, they helped me decide what to order. I got the tacos and a coffee included in the combo. The brisket taco was good, but I really enjoyed the pulled pork taco. The pulled pork was tender and was bursting with flavor. As for the coffee, he gave me a sample of the Vietnamese cold brew with coconut pieces. Normally, I do not like anything coconut in my coffee, but I gotta say, this is one of the most delicious coffees I've ever tasted. It's also not overly sweet, which I really like. While waiting for the tacos, he also gave me a sample of their pumpkin chai latte. I'm definitely getting that one next time. It was velvety and smooth. It had a little chai spice that was just perfect with the light pumpkin flavor. My free pastry was a full sized pastry. I got the apple fritter. I'm definitely going to be enjoying this during the Friday afternoon lull. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. The food and coffee were delicious. The owner was very nice and attentive. I loved the samples and also that the food was placed in a paper bag. This made it easy to transport back to the office without exposing my lunch to the elements. It's really cold out today. The twist the guy puts on Viet coffee is excellent. Try the Vietnamese Qold Brew combo with the two tacos (think we got both brisket). Brisket was cooked very well. What I would've liked was some sort of "kick" to the tacos to really bring everything together, as the diversity of the ingredients is quite scarce. Some grilled or even minced raw onions would be nice too. Maybe even some cilantro? Ok, what I'm really asking for is some sort of dank hot sauce to put on it. Otherwise, I'm bringing a sriracha bottle with me next time I come here. In any case, this place could make a killing for just their coffee alone. Great idea, great execution. 8/10, would come again and recommend to a friend. read more

In addition to straight up asking you if you want to tip them (awkward AF), they receive the tip, but they don't actually do anything other than cook (what am I paying for then?). After the order is done cooking, you use telepathy to figure out if it's done and hope it's not cold in the middle of winter. The food is a rip-off and average at best. They serve no purpose other than to allow bars to claim this as a "restaurant" to stay open during COVID. That's pretty much the only reason I'm glad it exists. I'd rather walk around and find a Wendy's. At least there they won't ask you directly for a tip. read more

Coffee-Q is incredible. Has a lot of great flavors and a lot to offer -- sandwiches, paninis, tacos, quesadillas AND you can't forget about their coffee. I'm not a coffee person, but man is this coffee great. Canela Qold Brew + their Vietnamese Qold Brews are incredible, I've yet to try their Vanilla Qold Brew, but that's next!! You can get their sandwiches w/ Hawaiian sweet bread or pretzel bread, and i personally LOVE the brisket sandwich with the pretzel bread. Their lime slaw adds a great twist to the sandwich. We always go all out when we come here. It's food that literally gets us out of bed!!! The owners are great people, really friendly and always connecting with everyone who comes by. I will be eating here for years to come. I want to try their catered menu at some point, but haven't yet! read more

The food: The brisket taco was good. It had a tangy, smokey flavor. It wasn't super tender, but it wasn't tough either. I would say it is quite average for a brisket taco. The chocolate muffin was good but I've never been one to turn down a chocolate muffin. They gave it to us for free for checking in on Yelp. The coffee: I tried their Vietnamese cold brew, which ended up being as weird as one would expect from a coffee with coconut chunks in it. It was certainly unique, but it wasn't amazing. I think it's actually pretty hard to get Vietnamese coffee right. When done wrong, it gets pretty beany and loses that kick that makes it so unique. Overall: The guys working here were super friendly. I enjoyed talking to them and getting to know more about what they offer. My biggest issue is the pretty inconvenient location (randomly off the freeway by discount tire). The food and coffee are decent, and I would be more inclined to go back if they were in a more interesting spot. As it is now, you just grab your food and drive off, and if I'm having to drive there for that I might as well go anywhere for takeout. read more

Today my apartment hosted Coffee-Q food truck for food truck Thursday. Right now with all that's going it felt good to walk out and get some good food. I got the Hawaiian Pulled Pork sandwich. It was so delicious I forgot to take a picture. The guys that worked there were so nice though business has slowed down tremendously. I wish I would have tried other items but maybe if they come back I will. All in all the food I got was great and I plan on eating there again. read more

Super yummy, super unique. I yelped coffee shop on vacation while I awaited being seated at a nearby restaurant and was pleasantly surprised with this truck! Yes I've already taken a piece off of my apple fritter but seriously it was that delicious and FREE through yelp! I got an iced coffee and was fueled with all the energy I needed that day. Coffee-Q is awesome. We hired them at our private school to do a big field day event, where they served for two hours with 5 other vendor trucks. They were amazing! They were asked to serve just two selections of entrees, which they decided should be a choice of a Quesadilla or Sandwich, either Brisket or Pulled Pork for either. The kids. Loved. It.! This is a prep high school, and all boys -- so needless to say, they have their preferences and can be very choosy. The adults were just as delighted; in fact, as mentioned, we had requested this simple menu solely to allow for a quicker ordering process due to having 600+ people at the event. They STILL brought coffee and pastries, kindly offering them to our faculty, which was just above and beyond. The adults at our school loved them. I heard nothing but amazing reviews from everyone. I did not get to sample their food - sadly - but I did hear excellent commentary re: portion, quality, and taste. I personally can attest to their professionalism; Coffee Q is run by two guys who have a serious love for BBQ and it's just about that simple. I get the vibe that they are very passionate about their work. I would highly recommend them. (Also, they were extremely fair in pricing.) read more

Was unable to try because I asked to buy 1 brisket taco and was told I had to buy a basket which was 2 tacos and chips. Even though their menu online clearly states 1 taco is $4.50. Like if you can make 2 tacos, you can make one. Update the menu if you aren't going to offer it. Also friend got an iced coffee and was the first customer there when they were at CiderCade on Sunday. They had no lids for her coffee. Was a bit disappointed to find out that they also don't use coffee in their bbq read more

Nothing fancy to rave about. Their nachos are bland and not great. Typical birthday party nachos in a can from Costco. I know because I too buy that can for birthday parties. No shame in my game. Coffee Q is hands down my one of my favorite food truck. Not only are their food and Qold brews amazing but the owners of the food truck always have great energy and provide amazing customer service. I had a chance to meet Chris and Julio multiples during my trips to Coffee-Q for quick morning breakfasts. Vietnamese Qold Brew (5/5) I love their take on Vietnamese coffeee made with coconut water!! It's a must try that you don't see at other places very often. Vanilla Qold brew (5/5) Their vanilla qold brew is always a classic go-to drink for me! Taco brisket (5/5) Their tacos are always stuffed with flavorful brisket and come with sauce on the side. Don't be shy about asking for more sauce because they'll definitely hook you up if you do!! read more

This place had a food truck at White Oak Music hall and they take advantage of a captive audience that is not allowed to leave during an 8 hour music festival. They charged SIXTEEN DOLLARS (plus tax!!) For "nachos" that consisted of about 8 round tortilla chips smothered in cheap liquid cheese with a palty serving of off color, weird tasting "beef" SIXTEEN DOLLARS, for something even a sports arena would charge less for and serve a better product. Totally shady of them to charge these prices for a captive audience that has no choice to eat there. Shameful ownership, horrific food and predatory pricing of hungry people that cannot go elsewhere for food. Lemme repeat that: SIXTEEN dollars, +tax for inedible nachos that made me spend an hour on the toilet at 3am. read more

Established in 2018.

Many moons ago, two babies were born. Then for the next 30 years, nothing interesting happened. It was around this time the two met through friends at a bar where the foundation of their connection was laid. Julio was the manager of a popular coffee shop - the kind you can find directly across the street from another of the same name. Chris was working a dead end job - the kind that crushes your humanity daily. A few years later, their kinship was cemented. One evening, they decided to join two of their passions: providing an exceptional experience to those seeking to battle their morning doze, and providing appetizing BBQ to those seeking sustenance. Coffee-Q was conceived.

I liked the sliced brisket a lot, along with the side of elote corn and mac n cheese. The free toppings bar had the various pickled vegetables that really cut through the fattiness of the meat. Drinks were all self serve, with a water station and soda fountain. Probably ordered a bit less than expected for 4 people, but was happy that there were no left overs, and left not completely stuffed, since we had a long day ahead of us. By the time we left a little after noon, there was both a wait for tables and parking. We had come at the right time.

I've tried those deemed "the best," including Salt Lick in Driftwood and Killen's. So how did CorkScrew measure up? In addition to the beef rib, we tried the moist brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. We also tried several sides, including those recommended in the Michelin review: potato salad, mac and cheese, smokey beans, and coleslaw, and I picked up a peach cobbler, as well.
