By not adding salt and pepper, it tasted delicious when you are controlling your salt intake for high blood pressure. The service was warm and friendly. They made sure that my order was correct. The ambiance is very Metro and clean. It has street parking for 2hours on the weekend. Make sure your cars have both plates on especially on your tesla. You will be ticketed if you don't. The attitude was that they don't care about the customer and you should just deal with their bad mood. The one is who especially rude was a man at the payment counter who had curly black hair, glasses, and a black t-shirt. If a manager is reading this, please have a talk with him and other employees about how they treat the customers. I have been coming here for a while. Usually will pick up coffee once or twice during the week and on Sundays come in for coffee and a burrito! SERVICE - 3 STARS This is me being generous. I do have to give it to say the people working the counter have gotten nicer but it was pretty bad about a year ago. This place gets pretty busy on the weekends so service can be kind of slow. Kenneth village is a cute spot with a few places to eat mixed in with hair salons and fitness studios. Parking can be mixed as there are a lot of people that like to come enjoy this area. There are a few things to note about the Commissary. 1. You are practically an employee while there. They punch your order into the IPad and flip it for you to make payment, add tip, sign, and specify receipt delivery method. 2. They try to call your name when your order is ready. But it's hit or miss. Recommend hanging around the pick up counter as they don't call out names very loudly. 3. After eating, you bus your own table into a yucky bin of dirty dishes and a really gross trash can. I should not have given a 20% tip since I did most of the work. Ordered black coffee, no price listed on menu board. Found there were plenty of grounds in the bottom of the cup. Taste was decent though. Not what I would call great coffee. Pastry items looked good, tried out a cheddar ranch biscuit but it would have been nice if they could have popped it into a hot oven for a minute to revive it. Food: holy mothers of the grail- GET THE BRISKET BURRITO. I have gotten it at least 6 times by this point and it NEVER disappoints (and I'm from the south so, that's saying something!) It's always so good. Coffee: I get a honey latte and the drinks here (as well as everything else other than the potatoes) seems to be super consistent. If you like it once, you'll like it again. So far I've only had a honey latte and the brisket burrito and I get that every time I come. It's worth it (trust the stranger telling you this) ATMOSPHERE: Sometimes it's a little tough to find seats because it's always busy. The staff is great. Give this one dude a raise! He's great! (The one in the pic) some outlets don't work (booo!) but it's okay. The only thing that seems to be a tad bit much is how loud the music is but if you have headphones it should be good. This place is hand down one of my favorite to get a breakfast burrito at! They have many options for food which makes it even better to have a breakfast date with friends. I always get the lil' breakfast burrito (without bacon) and it's in my top 5 best bb's of all time! You can choose how you want your eggs cooked and I always choose over hard. Their potatoes are triple fried and literally the best! They're crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, making them the perfect texture. And the cheddar cheese mixed in gives it the best balance of deliciousness. All their burritos come with a side of tortilla chips which are also some of my favorite chips! I was enjoying my walk in Kenneth village and I walked into the commissary because I've had their cookies before and they were really good. While in line I see a box of cookies and there were about 3 flies sitting on them and moving. This used to be my favorite place to study but every time I ask them to turn the music down they say they can't. They're always playing music on FULL BLAST, like can I know how anyone is supposed to get any work done? My one complaint was the cashier. She was not friendly, nor was she helpful. She hurried me as well as all the other patrons behind me. Came here on a weekday to grab lunch and it looks super cute inside. I see a lot of people coming here to do work as well so I assume it's study friendly here. I don't even know why I'm reviewing this place. They don't need it. It's always packed and always a vibe. I've been coming here for years and it's one of my favorite places to drink coffee and get work done. Their food is good too - see below. Service: The baristas are helpful and know their coffee. Food: freshly baked soft cookies and salted caramel Rice Krispies.... Trust me. Do it. If you need something more savory, I've only had their breakfast burritos. Not the best in town because we have a lot of fire in town, but still great. I actually like their veggie breakfast burrito. Coffee: their hot coffees are great. Whether you get their drip coffee or pour over or one of their lattes (oat milk latte is good), you'll be happy. One area of improvement I found is in their iced coffee - it's good enough.... Some of the other reviews on here are really off the mark when it comes to customer service. They were very polite and approachable. I had no issues with hearing my name when called out or with the cashier getting my order down correctly. I honestly noticed an issue with customers being rude when visiting, not staff. The pace of the line is a little on the slower side because there is one cashier. However, I think it's because some people didn't get to view the full menu until they were in the front of the line. Maybe having a large printout or QR code at the door can help. I just looked up the menu on Yelp. If I were to rate just the food and drink, it would be a 4 instead of a 5. The Angelino burrito is listed as having habanero salsa, which made me initially think it was going to be spicy, which it wasn't. I can't blame the restaurant since it looks like most of the clientele aren't the type to eat much spice in their food. I would just change the "habanero salsa" as just "salsa" on the menu. The lavender matcha was also delicious but I wish it had a more earthy than sweet flavor. Again, it might be because of their target demographic. read more

I came by to do some work with friends and the music is so insanely loud we all made comments about it. and quite frankly, the choice of music is horrendous. Three words. Best coffee ever. Worth the traffic from coming from Hollywood. Flavor and Quality: I can't explain it but the ROASTED flavor is what makes this place so unique. Mostly the same quality every time I come and get the same drink. I recommend an iced Gilbaltar (which is apparently the same thing as a Cortado I didn't know lol) , iced vanilla latte, and the golden milk. I know some might like the simple items like avocado toast or some eggs but it's still overpriced and not a place you'd come for food. Just a place for coffee. This place is always busy and finding a good spot is lucky if your come late, so come early and don't come on a time crunch. They sell pastries and local art, and have a full food menu that is very good. However, the coffee is not good (the man next to me was drinking Starbucks lol). The matcha, turmeric latte, chai lattes etc are pre-made and pre-sweetened, meaning you can't customize them. This makes for overly sweet drinks that are missing the earthy flavors I love and overpowered by agave syrup. I tried to avoid this mess by ordering their bottomless drip coffee, but the coffee was harsh and the oat milk coagulated in the cup (I'm not sure why that happens, but it only happens sometimes and every time it does I know the coffee is going to taste bad hahah).
