What a great place! The food was outstanding - fresh, inventive and clearly housemate pasta! The cocktail was delicious. The hospitality was as special as the food. I was a table for one, but they were as welcoming as possible. It truly seemed that the hostess was welcoming me to her own home. She offered me the choice of tables and sent the waiter right over to take my drink order. Every person I interacted with was friendly and seemed glad I was there. I can't wait to return. read more

Cocorico - Mushroom pasta and garlic bread! - Cocktail Bars Near Me - Ashland, Oregon

Ambiance and service were excellent, but the biggest star was the food. We shared two starters, including beet salad and watermelon w/feta salad (with pistachios in honey sauce), and everything delighted. The main was homemade pasta with three types of wild mushrooms, and it was so tasty! Definitely a place to which we will return. read more

WHAT A FIND! My daughter took me out to dinner here tonight any everything was better than the last. We were warmly greeted and made to feel like family right away. Our server was very knowledgeable about the wine list and helped direct my daughter to exactly the right champagne for our taste and to pair with our dinner. I don't really drink, but it was so yummy, I did end up having a second glass. I ordered a salad for dinner as I wanted something lighter, but I ended up indulging in the appetizers, they were just irresistible! So scrumptious. I also had (more than) a few bits of my daughters carbonara, devilishly divine. I got talked into dessert and I'm sorry I even thought about saying no. I fought for the last bite, too good! Can't wait to go back. I forgot to get my servers name, but he was fantastic, as was the rest of the staff. read more

I had made my reservation a month in advance and received the reminder the day w. Started off bad. Hostess has trouble finding my reservation. Asked me 3 times before I spelled it out for her. She seated us in " the fish bowl window room" I asked if we could have another table inside. She said the restaurant was mapped out for the night and this was inside! Why, when she saw I had a cane, did not immediately say let me find you another table on the main floor. I said " fine" and hobbled up the steps. Then she came up to the table after I was seated and said "I can put you at another table, I want to make sure that you are happy. " The food is delicious and the wait staff are spot on. I will return but I will make sure I am not seated where I was placed tonight read more

Merci Cocorico!!! Our family had a dinner to remember last night. Chef Nat & his wife Grace are magicians creating an experience to remember. My French Canadian mother has the Duck Confit special & she raved about how well prepared it was (and she would know...) The pasta bolognese was all homemade & perfect. My husband had the Halibut special & he went quiet eating which is a very good sign!:) Great wine list & deserts. They improved the lighting & ambience for a more intimate atmosphere. Our server was top notch. 20 Stars! read more

Quaint space. We didn't see the back, but had a cozy booth. They were busy but it didn't feel crowded. Staff was excellent, very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious, great drinks. The chef didn't like how my husband's steak turned out so they re did it. Highly recommend!! read more

Definitely in my top 5 favorites in Ashland! Excellent menu selection for all dietary needs, pleasant and welcoming staff. Interesting and unique ambience. Just superb, always! read more

Excellent cozy restaurant with a very attentive and collaborative staff. Pork chop special was amazing as was the mushroom buccatini. The dessert menu was excellent but the pairing suggestions were off the charts. We shared the marionberry pie with vanilla ice cream which was quite tasty but the pairing with a 10 year tawny port from Kopke took it to another level. The wine list was carefully chosen and diversely complemented the menu. We chose the Tenuta di Gracciano Vin Nobile which masterfully complemented both our dishes. Prices were appropriate for the quality. We will return! read more

Fantastic food and great service. The menu is seasonal and makes great use of local produce. The standout dish for us was a terrific "Caprese" salad Appetizer. Everything we ordered was delicious. Entree servings are quite large. We didn't have reservations but managed to score seats at the bar in the beautiful patio. I wish I had photographed the patio to post photos because the current photos don't reflect how lovely this restaurant is. I cant wait to return! read more

Wonderful food, wonderful service. We had the deviled eggs, Burrata, and olives to start. Then we had the chicken, lamb, and meatballs for dinner. All outstanding! Highly recommend this restaurant. Also, the service was outstanding! read more

Loved this place! My boyfriend and I went here for the first time a couple days ago to celebrate our 1 year and watch some plays in the area :) We got there early and got to sit at the little corner window and it was so cute, September was amazing with our table! Highly recommend the octopus, it was so tender and paired with a lovely romesco sauce! We shared the salmon and tagine mains and it was more than enough for two people. Would definitely recommend this place, amazing flavor and you feel like you're at home/friends fun dinner party! read more

Cocorico - Poached pear dessert - Cocktail Bars Near Me - Ashland, Oregon

Had the carbonara and the lamb shank. Good but nothing particularly memorable. Everything was well cooked, very tender lamb. Lamb mostly tasted like the meat itself with only slight flavoring on the sauce. Carbonara was very mild though that's to be expected of the dish. Solid restaurant but nothing so delicious that I'd come back instead of trying someplace new. read more

Superlative ! Highlight of our week food wise in Ashland, attending the Shakespeare festival Cozy, intimate well run restaurant with professional waiters, excellent wine and dessert wine choices, Sophisticated ,wonderful food, including the best lamb dish I've had in awhile , amazing deserts Hard to believe it's 2 yrs old.. it feels like 20! read more

Thursday night before my knee surgery we decided to try out #Cocorico since they moved to downtown Ashland from where they used to be up on 66 by Green Springs. The new spot is where Amuse previously resided. The space couldn't be more ideal for Cocorico's move downtown. It upscaled just by changing addresses. The food though got even better. You can tell just how serious of a change this was for the owners. My son and I shared the Black Cod and the Steak and wow couldn't be happier. Still excited to see quality moving into town. Paired the food with an old fashioned using some Basil Hayden. Oh man this meal was so good. read more

It's fun to check out the new product. The store is always clean and well stocked. I feel comfortable with the prices. The service is great.

Couldn't get reservations to the restaurant we planned, but I'm so glad we ended up here instead! The host and our server were super friendly, my carbonara (atypical from the traditional with cream and onions added) was one of the best I've had. And the chocolate mousse was perfectly rich and not too sweet! We will absolutely recommend this place to friends traveling to Ashland. Wish we could come back tonight! read more

Loved this place! Ate outside (even on a snowy night) and the patio was cozy and warm. Tables were partitioned with planters and it felt very intimate. Food was amazing and staff were great, professional but not too stuffy. read more

I can't add much to what was already been said. This is one amazing restaurant...an Ashland gem! OMG...it's simply top shelf. We'll be back!! read more

I found Cocorico while searching for a new restaurant to try in Ashland. The menu was eclectic Italian and that piqued my interest so I made a reservation for that evening and requested an "intimate table" if that was possible. My husband and I showed up and the place was very busy so that was a good sign. The manager greeted us and said she had seen my request and hoped the table she took us to would be ok. It was a two person table next to the front window, which was perfect, and it gratified me to know she had took my request seriously. I got the grilled octopus & my husband got the spaghetti w/ veal, pork, & beef meatballs, both were delicious! The wine suggested by our server complimented the food perfectly and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This is now one of our favorite restaurants in this area, we will definitely be back read more

Exceptional! Great outdoor seating area. Ambiance is amazing, food is amazing, and the hostess is super engaging and friendly. It is not inexpensive, and that is appropriate. Very friendly and helpful service, and excellent food. The ambience is warm and welcoming.

Server Meg is as sweet and knowledgeable as they come. The food is amazing. We will be back!

We are locals and have been coming to Cocorico's for two years - GREAT STAFF! Warm, intelligent, welcoming; they know the food and aren't shy in pointing you in the right direction. EXCELLENT Food! make sure you try an appetizer (the clams & chorizo, languishing in a scrumptious coconut broth - our favorite - get the crusty garlic bread, piled with Parmesan - You won't be disappointed). Make reservations and prepare to be delighted and surprised by this inventive chef's yummy creations! read more

If I could give 6 stars, I would! Three of us had a delightful dinner at Cocorico in June 2025. GREAT food, service, and ambience. Imaginative menu, fresh ingredients. Welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Perfect! We live in Portland, Oregon, which is known as a food town, and Cocorico is right up there with the best we have ecperienced in Portland. read more

They know what they are doing in this kitchen! Consistently delicious and creative use of spices and ingredients. Always a treat!

Really lovely atmosphere in this excellent restaurant. I'd been a little worried about the warning on the booking site that we might find it too loud outside, but really it was a perfect buzz, just what you want when you go out. The food was delicious, interesting and the portions are right sized to generous, but not overwhelming. I just wish we weren't so stuffed at the end of our week's tour and we could have appreciated it even more. I saw that halloumi was on the menu and just had to have it and I loved it. The wine list was well considered with a great variety of domestic and European wines. We enjoyed a great local Vermentino, highly recommend. All the staff were very personable and invested in our enjoyment of the evening. All told, you cannot fail to have a good time at Cocorico. I hope we will be back one day. read more

Delicious! We sat on the patio in February and weren't cold at all. The waitress, Amanda was fantastic and all servers were quick to help and clear plates. Appetizers we ordered were garlic bread (which isn't on the menu, so you have to ask and was FANTASTIC), delicata squash, and deviled eggs. All three respected the ingredients and were delicious. Mains were the pork chop and mushroom Bolognese, both delightful. Coconut cream pie was a delight. Booked online a few days ahead of time and the process was easy. Definitely a splurge if you count your pennies, but all in all, we will be back on our next special occasion. read more

There are so many great reviews and it is a truly fancy dining experience, but all three in our party felt the food and service fell far short of expectations. It may be fine for people who do not need accommodations for food allergens- as every other review seems to indicate. I know someone else who gave it a poor review a few months ago and that review does not show up so I expect this one to be taken down as well. Not sure how Yelp works. 2 of us were allergic to milk products. She served both of us food with parmesan and butter because I had said I, not the other person, could have a tiny amount to sheep or goat cheese if I know in advance and took pills. She took that to mean any small amount of dairy was OK. As it turns out they really do not make any accommodations- all they can do is essentially omit foods- for example they cannot substitute olive oil for butter in cooking, which is a pretty common move at a nice restaurant. The server seemed miffed and said I should have known the parmesan in the risotto was integral to the dish- the stock is cooked with parmesan rind. Similar to Alchemy before them, their way is the only way, but we messaged ahead with our reservation. I think she should have revealed the dairy upfront. No move to offer anything complimentary when two meals had to be sent back... The drinks also tasted dilute, which I am sure they would deny, but we had a bartender in our group. Drinks may just have sat awhile with the large ice cubes before serving. Ambiance and wine were very nice. Honestly, I would never go again. We have lots of places to go in Ashland which are great and treat us well. read more

From the moment we walked in, I wanted to like this place, and the next couple of hours fortunately cemented this. Our waitress was friendly and informative and a team approach to getting food and drink to the table meant it arrived timely and together for our party of four. Nice variety of appetizers, mains, and desserts, all excellently prepared. We were on the back patio, so noise level was good. Price/value was also good. It was our first time but it will be part of our regular rotation for future Ashland visits. read more

Maybe the happy ravings of our friends and the innkeeper and everyone raised our expectations too high, but ... We thought our dinner was fine, .... I liked the fried corn on the cob a lot. That was a dish I don't see everywhere and it was tasty even as it screamed that it was not healthy because of all the butter on it! But an "A" dish. However, the mains were salmon-like salmon and lamb-like lamb. Fine. Just what we ordered. But not memorable. And so soon as we put our forks down, food or next menu or check arrived. No time to relax. The restaurant later emailed the person who made our reservations to apologize that they mixed our table up with people who had to leave early for a play. So, I guess my complaint that our food arrived too quickly -- even when I specifically asked that the mains not be brought until we asked for them -- has already been handled. Still, the pace we were expected to eat at affected my enjoyment. And, every cocktail we ordered had to be sent back and corrected. We ordered a specific gin that was on the menu, but apparently its existance is not widely understood by the staff. The room itself is also fine. We sat in a booth which gave us more room and space to hear each other. But, there is a tinge of being in a diner in the atmosphere. Everyone else loves this. I am probably wrong in saying it's just OK. We will go back next visit to see if a slower evening lets us appreciate Cocorico's extraordinary wonderfulness! read more

A cute little bistro in the heart of Ashland! Stumbled on it during a long road trip and was the perfect mix of comforting and inviting that we were looking for. Both the lamb and the chicken were excellent - the chicken was juicy and the lamb was tender. Service was quick and attentive. Thanks Cocorico! read more

The three stars are for the staff. I Really appreciate good service, every employee was professional and friendly. The temperature is toasty warm, I don't want a cold breeze while eating dinner. Location is great, walk to Zoe's after for a sweet treat. However, the food is ......... blah. It's ok at best, boring really. It's supposed to be fine dining but they missed the mark. The portions were off a bit. The country ranch style salad was huge, my dinner plate had literally 3 bites of food. The lamb was a good size, unfortunately the lentil mush was unpleasant. I'll save my date nights for missyoon or Kobe read more
