Coco Leaf is a gem, located in Dorchester's Field Corner neighborhood, on Dorchester Ave. They have been around for years now and I swing by here for a mango passionfruit smoothie every now and then. For $7 a smoothie, I used to think it was extremely pricey... but nowadays most places sell their drinks for around this price. The mango passionfruit smoothie from here is worth getting though. I get it every time and am never disappointed. I have noticed that the cup sizes have gotten smaller but it is what it is.
Didn't realize the owners changed to akoko by coco leaf but i usually just come thru here for occasional smoothie! Mango passion, the space looked a bit dark when walking in, the front is well lit during the day with natural sunlight. The employees were super nice, they have clover system and checkout is easy. We got our drinks in a few minutes and it was a refreshing drink for a warm day. A tad on the sweeter side for me but still good overall! They also have Viet che drinks which i may look to try next time in. Will be back again when around fields corner.
Very cute and aesthetic boba shop with lots of photo ops! There's a good amount of seating inside. They have quite a menu, from Vietnamese dessert to milk tea to food. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha Milk at less sweet. Even at less sweet, the drink was still pretty sweet. I think most of the sweetness came from the strawberry sauce/puree. The strawberry was a little overpowering, and I couldn't really taste the matcha. Overall, this drink was okay. My cousin got the Oolong Milk Tea at less sweet and with boba, and I got to try a little bit of it. This drink was really good. The tea flavor was strong, which I liked, and the boba had a good texture. It was perfectly soft and chewy. Service was good. I came with my mom, cousin, and aunties, so we ordered several drinks. Staff was patient and quick with our order.
This establishment needs a deep clean/to take more precautions. I came in and the first thing I saw was fruit flies flying IN their DISPLAY case which they take out and give to customers. Those are clear pictures of the fruit flies on their Pandan mochi cakes. I messaged the business about this and all they said was thanks they'll remind their workers. What about throwing the stuff away? I bought one of their banh bo nuong and I came home, opened the lid, and saw a hair on it. DISGUSTING. Would not recommend.
One of my favorite spots since high school. I love the desserts, teas and especially the turkey sandwich.
I love che and this is pretty top tier, I inhaled mine in ~5 mins. Lots of different topping options with so many different textures! Favorites were the chewy jellies and mung bean, although they kinda skimp on the shredded young coconut. Inside is pretty cute, they got a fountain with a lot of plants and a stone Buddha statue thing in it.
Located at Field's Corner near its competitor, Gongcha, Coco Leaf offers chè, milk teas, smoothies, and desserts. There's a wide variety of options and I opted for Chè Halo Halo and Pumpkin Cinnamon Milk Tea with Coffee Jelly for the fall vibes. The halo halo ($7.50) was layered with hạt lựu, jackfruit, beans, ice, ube ice cream, and more. It was well balanced and I didn't have any issues with the fruits not being fresh as some of the other reviews mentioned. I enjoyed this a lot, but it is pricey so this isn't something I would get very often. The pumpkin milk tea could've had a stronger pumpkin flavor, though I thought it was pretty decent and the pumpkin and cinnamon flavors complemented each other very well. The coffee jelly was too sweet, but the texture was good. I got 30 percent sweetness and thought it was just right.
This is a nice little dessert shop in Dorchester. It has a variety of classic Vietnamese desserts, but my go to is usually the coffee flan. The flan is a nice custard with crushed ice topped with coffee jelly. There is also coffee at the bottom of the bowl as well. My friend got a che with things like ice cream, coconut and pandan jelly on it. I think the deserts are okay. Sometimes the flan it's not the most consistent (sometimes you can taste the egg more than others). It's still a great place to try if you're getting into eating Vietnamese desserts because of the options.
Wow, Coco Leaf has changed a lot, since the last time I've seen them. The newest installations they have are the cute Instagram-esque backdrop with neon lights and the Buddha corner with comfy chairs. -- Totally the vibe. They serve the same amazing food fare that I love and enjoy. I always get the spicy garlic popcorn chicken and sweet potato fries. Both are delicious and not fatty. Their dipping sauces (I believe it's ketchup mayo) are delicious and a must have!
Came by on a Thursday morning to try their Viet coffee since my girls and I have been #TeamNoSleep for our Girls Trip here. The coffee was kind of watered down, yet half of them were overly sweet from the condensed milk. You can say there's no consistency with the sweetness. The Pandan mochi cake and it was DELICIOUS! We wanted to come back for more to bring back home, but due to timing we were limited with our stops. The Wake-Up Wrap was okay according to my friends. Cute little cafe in Dorchester. Beware of parking. Very friendly customer service.
Love Cocoleaf! My favorite boba tea shop in Boston! The boba is always made fresh and chewy. I typically order the mango passionfruit green tea or summer shade. If you like sparkling drinks, the fizzles are delicious. The servers always have helpful menu suggestions. At the entrance of the store, there's a bunch of tables. People are often working or hanging out. There's also bar seating with books to browse.
Great Vietnamese Che spot. Can't wait to come back. Cashiers were very nice. Quick service and dessert was spot on! I had the Che coco leaf. It had a bit of everything and everything tasted fresh. I liked how it wasn't too sweet either. Parking can be difficult, park further down the street, you might have to walk a bit. Dorchester can be alittle sketch so be careful.
Whenever I'm in the area right at fields corner station, I always try to stop by for desserts! Their Che is amazing and fresh; Full of coconut flavors. It's always packed with goodness inside the cup. Grass Jelly, Hot Luu, Pandan Jelly, coconut cream with slices. Hot luu gives it such a nice crunch. Can't find anything like that anywhere. Other goodies: Halo halo, tofu pudding, dessert cakes and cookies in the case, all the che combos.

Very nice experience here at coco leaf. The owner is super nice to us even it's the first time we been here. He also gave us free cream puffs. Place is very clean, spacious. It's nice if you have group of friends to gather here. We tried the okinawa and jasmine drinks. Like it alot. Not too sweet at all.Definitely recommend everyone to come here. read more

Hey Dean,…
First time at Coco Leaf and I got the Mangonada ($6) smoothie. It was a large size and had a fresh mango flavor with tamarind- it was my first time having this combo and I enjoyed it. The seating space is pretty comfortable, there is a decent number of tables, and lighting is good. They also have games that you can play. Will have to come back to try the chè. A nice local neighborhood cafe with good hours. read more

I have a complete soft spot when it comes to these types of places, offering delicious desserts, drinks and also some savory items as well. My boyfriend and I ordered the "Chè 3 Mau," which consisted of red bean, white bean, mung bean paste, purple sweet potato, pandan jelly and coconut milk. it hit me perfectly in the taste buds. We also ordered a regular green tea drink, and it was refreshing. My favorite item on the menu was the matcha cream puffs. We only ordered one at first, and when we realized it was so cheap and delicious, we had to order another one. The place is aesthetically pleasing, staff is extremely helpful and patient, and the store is spacious with many tables and chairs available. They also have cute succulents and games such as Jenga or Uno on the tables for you to relax and enjoy your food. It was a little out of my way to get to Coco Leaf, but it was worth it. Definitely coming back again to try the other items on the menu! read more

We came in today to try to out the lastest drink on the menu, Che Halo Halo. It was totally worth it!! I live roughly half and hour away, but honestly with what with place has to offer, I do not mind the commute, and I do mean every word of that. I have tried most of the che on the menu and they are all excellent. All the servers are very friendly. The drinks come out fast. It's a genuinely pleasant experience I come here every time. Lots of Kudos to Coco Leaf for being very creative with the drinks and always striving for better service! read more

This place is alright. It's not as great as I thought it would be. I was so excited when I first heard this store is opening in Dorchester. Their che concept is exactly like che Bambu in Randolph. They just put a bunch of fresh fruits together into a cup, added coconut milk or juice and wa-la. They have a few selections to choose from but not as much choices as Bambu had to offer at their shop. But I am happy that the store is located in field corner which is a few streets away from my house. So now when I craving for che I don't have to go all the way out to Randolph to get it. I also tried their crepe and it not a wow factor to me either. The skin is too soft, not crispy enough and tasteless. The skin is very chewy so that a good thing. When you took the first bite, everything just falling apart. The skin is not strong enough to hold the filling inside. If you going to get the crepe just use the spoon and scope the filling out instead of trying to bite the whole crepe. This will save you from a nasty mess. The paper holder that they provided will help keep the crepe together a little bit so don't throw it out while eating it. The interior look very cozy and inviting. I love the wooden table, lighting and decorations inside. I wish the menu on the wall could be bigger and readable. The fonts are way too small and they hang the sign all the way up to the roof. It also not a full menu. They just have che, drinks and crepes choices on it. They left out the pastries selection which was quite disappointing. The staffs are not fully trained here. They hired a bunch of kids ( maybe high school students) to works there. Everyone behind the counter have no idea what they are doing. The guy who does the cash register does not know how to operates the cashier machine. The credit card machine does not work right. They have to swipe my card at least five times to get it go through. At about 7pm they completely sold out all the ingredients and close down the store early than their normal hours at 9pm. Which I find ridiculous. How the heck could a shop this big ran out of ingredients?? Seriously!!! Anyway, this place just recently open so I will give this place a few weeks to let their staffs settle in and get to know their jobs. I will come back and try them again. This establishment have great potential but need to work out a few things to make it better. read more

Nice addition to the Dorchester community! This place specializes in Che, which is a Vietnamese dessert, but offers many other creative items such as sweet and savory crepes and mochi donuts. I've tried the mango black tea, tray cai crepe, and mocha donuts - and I am liking it so far. The co-owners are very nice; I see that they are proactive in speaking with customers and getting to know them. Also, I love décor with their wooden benches and jar lights. This would be a perfect go-to place to hangout with friends, read a book, or catch up on some work while having a nice drink/snack. As the weather gets nicer in Boston, I see myself coming here more often! read more

Happy Friday Jeannie! We'd love to see our customers happy and enjoy…
If I lived closer, this would be my go to spot for working, catching up with friends, or just relaxing. I love the decor; everything from the high ceilings to the wooden furniture and centerpiece plants gave this place a very open and comforting feel with a slight hipster vibe. Also the staff are super friendly! As for the food, they specialize in Vietnamese desserts called Chè. If you've had Bambu before then you know exactly what CocoLeaf is about. I tried the Chè CocoLeaf, Chè Okinawa, and Chè Banh Lot. The CocoLeaf and Okinawa were too pasty for my personal liking; I prefer a small amount of beans but they load up the Che with too much beans and not enough coconut flesh or pandan jelly. Which is why I like the Banh Lot because it was very similar to a drink. I love chrysanthemum so I knew I couldn't go wrong with this one. It's very light but you still get some texture from the pandan jelly, coconut, and basil seeds. Although they focus on Chè, I found their cream puffs to be the real star of the show. I'm not sure if the choux pastry is bought or made in house, but I do know they make each cream puff fresh to order. The coffee cream puff was the best one (out of coffee, white chocolate, and coconut); the choux pastry was warm and flaky and the cream filling was true to coffee taste but not overpoweringly sweet. I highly recommend trying one. read more

A unique bubble tea place that has the traditional bubble tea and smoothies but I come here for the Che. These drinks have alot of toppings and the various combinations is what makes this place special. I usually get the Che Hot Luu but should definitely try as many as you can. The mochi donut was alright but the sweet potato fries with the sauces were on point. Good place to hang out with friends to relax and chill if you are around the area read more

I've finally got there!! Heard so many positive feedback about this place so far...I wasn't disappointed. The server welcomed me immediately, introduced me a menu and explained me what is what (honestly I'm new to Vietnamese desserts!) and even have me to try the ingredients I was interested in. I ordered Che Hot Luu, it tases good to me, though a little too sweet (if I knew that, I'd asked to make it less sweet), so if you're not a sweet tooth, make sure you let them know about it. Clean place, big choice of desserts, friendly staff, no reason to rate them lower than 5 stars :) read more

I'll start with that I'm not a huge fan of che. Had it several times and at different cafes, and will stick with the boba tea instead. Anyway, the interior is warm and welcoming. They should invest in some blinds as the sun was shining into the cafe and making it very hot. The staff was nice, friendly, and kind. As it was the end of the day, they gave us an extra donut. Yeah! Drinks- lychee che was okay. There something with the simple syrup or water than makes it rather artificial. Mango smoothie - the little kids didn't like it as it taste different from other places. It was more slushy and had a milky flavor. Could be the condensed milk that is used. Snacks - donut was okay and too chewy. The green tea Madeline was good. Soft and cake like. The green tea cream puff wasn't bad. $6 was a little pricy for a small portion. Didn't get to try the crepe was they sold out of the crepe as we arrived. May go back again and try the milk tea and boba instead. read more

Went here and got a matchalicious to go, which was basically a green tea crepe. It was very good, it took both me and my sister to finish it. Not too sweet, tasted fine. My sister also tried the cream puffs here and said it was delicious. This place is definitely going to be a regular for us :) read more

Hello Hue. Thank you very much for your support. Our website was…
First time coming after driving by a bunch of times. Got the oolong boba milk tea, chocolate macarons, and the banana nutella crepe. The price for the boba could be cheaper in my opinion but it was good. The crepe and macarons were really great, will definitely come back for more next time. The ambiance and decor of the place is nice, something you don't really see a lot in Dorchester. The customer service was also great, the owner was friendly and came by to ask how everything was. I'll definitely be back read more

I'm a huge fan of desserts and I'm so glad there is a Coco Leaf in town. My boyfriend and I both got the Che Coco Leaf and tried an order of the curry fish balls. Both items are very good and left us happy and full. The establishment is very modern and comfortable with ample seating and offers board games for customers to use. There is also a huge glass beverage dispenser that offers complimentary fruit-infused water. Overall, I can't wait to go back and try more of their signature desserts. read more

My first impression was this is a Nice friendly vibe. My gf got the co co leaf cus who wouldn't get the drink that's named after the store am I right. I got the drink with the number 4 on it (don't remember what its called.) We also got a matcha cream puff. The drinks were nicely presented but I couldn't tell the two drinks apart because it tastes the same. Ill save you some time and tell you that the drinks pretty much just taste like coco milk with some random jelly toppings. Its not bad but its nothing special. The cream puff was alright. I probably wouldn't come here again but its worth at least one visit. read more
