Finally stopped in for pastries, couldn't believe they could equal dinner here but they sure did. Blown away at how amazing they were. Will have to stop in to try more.

Gotta be one of the best pastry shops in the Boston area. Every time I visit, I am amazed at the selection and fresh baked goods that cover up the entire bar area. Anything cream filled is my favorite. The sourdough bread and baguettes are also top notch. It isn't the easiest place to get to but the trip is worth it. Street parking can be a bit of a pain. It's also tiny inside and will feel very crowded on a weekend morning when you have a line of people trying to grab pastries with as many tables as possible crammed inside a small space. The tables for brunch are usually filled so expect a wait. I haven't tried their coffee yet but they did look good.

Truly a hidden gem in Dorchester. Dare I say one of the best Italian spots I've had in my decade living in Boston? Everything we ordered was amazing. My favorite dish was the eggplant parm. I wish it was a larger portion because it was just that good. Highly recommend trying it even if you are not a fan of eggplant. Also ordered the short rib pasta which was super flavorful and had big chunks of tender short rib. Decided to order the small pizza to not get too full but was pleasantly surprised by the large size. Will be coming back for sure for more!

I am literally in shock that this place exist right on Dorchester Ave lol Right across from Charlie's pizza, this cute restaurant/ bakery on the weekends is here. TIP : I believe they only service these delicious pastries on the weekends. I think they run out fast too so be there early! When I walked in, definitely a very nice welcoming feeling. It's a really cute spot for a coffee date or brunch. I've been told to come and try this lunch/dinner menu. I definitely will. Staff is super friendly. Croissant was so fluffy, crispy, and buttery. My son LOVED it. Highly recommend coming here on the weekends.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Boston's best Italian food is not in the north end. I've been wanting to visit Via Cannuccia for over a year and it did not disappoint. The menu was simple but I wanted to order everything! I love when I feel excited about a menu. Not to mention the specials made the choice even harder. We started with the Caesar salad which they kindly split into two bowls for us. We shared a short rib dish (the special) and the cacio e Pepe. They were both fabulous. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes (and also brunch). The servers was friendly and very accommodating. The food was a bit slow to come out but we didn't mind. The restaurant was cute and well appointed and they managed to fit a good number of tables in the restaurant. This was one of my favorite meals of the year. I highly recommend and will definitely be back.

I loved dining in for brunch! I appreciate the large selection of pastries and thoughtful menu. The flavors were exceptionally good for a reasonable price. Can't wait to come back for dinner.

This is a super cute café that reminds me of Europe perfectly. They have amazing pastries here on the weekends, so I have gotten them a few times. But it was our first time coming for brunch. You can order pastries to eat at the table, and also order from their brunch menu. They have super friendly service, and the servers went out of their way to look for the headphone the had fallen on the floor for us. The food is really good and you will probably be convinced to take multiple things to go after your brunch.

Everything was absolutely delicious. The chef did an unbelievable job. I let him know personally that the food was delicious. The short rib pasta was absolutely incredible. Even the tiramisu which was made different was absolutely delicious. Me and my wife absolutely loved it. We will definitely be back.

Can I bring wine to Via Cannuccia?

They have a beer and wine license, so my guess is no. On a pretty crowded night no one had brought in a bottle.

She was so excited when she found Cafe Bonjour because they had several gluten-free options on the menu. We took an Uber there right after we landed and were able to walk right in and get a table when they opened, which worked out perfectly because the place started to fill up! It's a cute little spot with plenty of seating inside, and they also had a nice outdoor parklet that would be great in good weather. We asked to sit at the bar so we could watch the cooks in action, which was really fun. The menu had all the classic breakfast favorites like eggs and French toast, along with some lunch options like hamburgers and chicken wraps. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the gluten-free eggs benedict and absolutely loved it. I had the Bonjour omelet, and it was delicious. Overall, this is a fantastic breakfast spot with great food, a fun atmosphere, and solid gluten-free options.

Other than that I'd stop somewhere else for a brunch.

The smell of bacon was too good to keep moving past it and we decided to head inside. Best happy accident!! Any place that has staff wearing shirts that say "Stoked for yolks" and has an array of pig decor- jackpot! My husband got a turkey and I did a ruby melt; SO GOOD! I perused the menu, and the breakfast options all looked incredible! Telling customers "you're all set", etc. pushing customers to leave and move elsewhere as soon as he thinks the transaction/payment is finished. Management needs to seriously educate this cashier that rushing the customers is quite rude and offensive. For example, today, right after paying, I was trying to enter my phone number to collect the reward points (I assume Mike & Patty's has such for a reason, correct me if I'm wrong), the cashier kept on saying you're all set... pushing me to leave. And he even reset the screen so I didn't get to finish entering my phone number. Thus, as a customer, I didn't get what I was supposed to, my reward points--what Mike & Patty's offers--and that is wrong. This is not an isolated incident. Also, see my prior review below about one time when there was actually an error with their payment system and this Bay Village just happened to not accept InKind payment on that day, rather than trying to resolve OR even inform the owners/manager, for that matter, this VERY SAME cashier was like, oh, sometimes it doesn't work la la la, nothing he would do about it (and didn't care really, to this day, owners/manager still never figured out -- see their confused response to my prior review below). This cashier person is rude, rushing, and doesn't give much effort or care to his role. Conclusion: owners/manager need to re-educate this cashier person to chill out and leave his rushing to who knows what attitude and his careless I'm just here and do minimal don't give me anything to think about attitude elsewhere. Besides the accumulated frustrations above, Mike & Patty's - Bay Village would be a lot more enjoyable.
