Liked the combo of sweet longanisa and salty seaweed in the egg sandwich TEXTURE: 4/5 - toasted pandesal, melted cheese, and crisp seaweed PRICE: 4/5 - total came to $12 SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - debated getting the egg sandwich on a bagel for a potentially bigger portion vs. the small pandesal SERVICE: 4/5 - walked in at 10:15am on a Sunday and the space was empty. The employee at the counter was helpful and friendly ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - cozy, bright, and community-oriented space w murals and home-y touches PARKING: 4/5 - spots on Belmont St were taken, but more street parking available on Holbrook Rd

Quick version: Low prices for excellent quality, really lovely atmosphere…read more My chai latte was much better than the one I would've gotten at Starbucks and was pretty large for the price I paid. They were out of eggs, so I got a pork bun which was fluffy and delicious as well. They had a medium sized-menu with a good selection of your run of the mill American cafe staples as well as options that are harder to find in this area -- Saipao buns, ube lattes, lumpia... I was getting pissed off on the highway on my way to the school in Boston so I pulled off and was looking for a cafe somewhere in Milton or Quincy to work in until the traffic died off a little and found this on Apple Maps. So glad I stopped in! The cafe is bright and home-y, and they also are clearly trying to be a place to build community in the area. They have a whole library and check out system it seems for people to borrow books, and based on the signs welcome in anyone that needs to use the restroom or respite from whatever weather is going on! I used one of their tables and worked on some schoolwork, but they also had a variety of soft seating available. They had a really good playlist that had a great beat but was still kinda chill. It wasn't super busy, probably since it was midday on a Thursday, but damn it should be busier in there! Great spot... will most likely be stopping here the next time I find myself screaming at other cars and needing to calm my road rage. Another note: I saw a sign and it looks like they have a way for people to hold events here. If you had a community group that needed a spot to have meet ups I think this would be a great spot

She offered to treat, and when I saw how reasonable the prices are for great coffee, I was awed! Less than $5 for a medium iced snicker-doodle-doo coffee... I think I found my new go-to. Be aware the coffee is already pretty sweet--I'm usually a cream-and-sugar orderer, and it was wonderful and sweet with just cream. I swung by again to get an errand-running pick-me-up, and the energy inside was just as cheerful and colorful as it was the first time with my friend. Don't get overwhelmed by the menu--apparently, everything is good, and from what I've tasted so far, I believe it! It's great to have a local chain that can compete with the mega-presence of Dunkin'. I'll definitely be prioritizing a Marylou's coffee when I need a fun, sweet pick-me-up!

Whenever I'm in the mood for a fancy weekday breakfast or a decadent dessert after lunch, Paris…read moreBaguette is my go-to spot. This place has so many positives (and very few negatives, haha!). First, **free parking!** That's a huge plus and makes stopping by so much easier. Second, the selection is fantastic. Whether you're craving something sweet or savory, there's no shortage of options. The stuffed donuts are absolutely everything, and I also love the ham and cheese croissant. It's hard to leave without picking up more than I planned. The café itself is always clean, spacious, and well organized. Service is quick, checkout is efficient, and they'll even warm up your pastry if you'd like, which makes everything taste even better. Overall, it's a reliable spot with delicious pastries, a welcoming atmosphere, and the convenience of free parking. I keep coming back, and it's an easy **5 stars** from me.

What we ordered: -Rainbow cake: 4/5, this one was very interesting and we really enjoyed it. It had a fruit essence to it (versus vanilla cake dyed rainbow colors) paired with a very sweet frosting. -Nutella cake: 4/5, cake was soft and fluffy with great Nutella whipped frosting and thick Nutella between the layers. -NY cheesecake: 0/5, it tasted kind of spoiled? -Chocolate ganache cake: 3/5, it was very underwhelming, the crunchy pearls in it gave it a weird texture when you bit those with the soft cake. Whipped cream on top tastes weird.

Brunch spots are a dime a dozen these days, but finding one that actually delivers on the hype is a…read morerare feat. Milkweed manages to stand out in a crowded scene by focusing on what matters most: incredibly fresh and flavorful food. The menu spans breakfast, brunch, and lunch with a level of seasoning that hits the mark every time. These are my favorites so far: -The Sweet Dutch Baby: A crowd-pleaser that manages to be both airy and indulgent. - Corned Beef Hash: Super fresh and flavorful. You get an entire roasted roma tomato. - Cheesy Spinach Omelette: Simple, fresh, and very cheesy. - The iced coffees and teas are well-crafted as well. - For those looking for a lighter start, they offer great "healthier" alternatives like smoothies and loaded fruit and yogurt bowls, making it an easy choice for groups with different dietary preferences. The Experience The atmosphere is very homey. Staff are friendly. Place is clean and doesn't have that diner stickiness. The service can be a bit of a rollercoaster. There are moments when it feels like you've faded into the background or been forgotten entirely. But the food is worth the wait. If you're looking for a quick "in-and-out" meal, this might not be the place. But if you value high-quality, delicious brunch offerings and don't mind a slower pace, Milkweed is a local gem that delivers where it counts.
