My friend and I were craving Marylou's and we pulled up at 6:45pm. They close at 7pm. We hate to be that person and order so close to closing, but the staff were so nice and made us feel totally fine about ordering so late. I got a small Carmel Lou, decaf, with just milk. My friend got a small Carmel Lou with just milk (regular). There's a small parking lot and this one is located within a convenient store if you needed something quick. Be aware the coffee is already pretty sweet--I'm usually a cream-and-sugar orderer, and it was wonderful and sweet with just cream. I swung by again to get an errand-running pick-me-up, and the energy inside was just as cheerful and colorful as it was the first time with my friend. Don't get overwhelmed by the menu--apparently, everything is good, and from what I've tasted so far, I believe it! It's great to have a local chain that can compete with the mega-presence of Dunkin'. Great place to get a coffee, and a sweet treat. They have breakfast sandwiches too. They also allow you to mix the ice coffee's if you want multiple flavors. They even have monthly flavors. It's a great place! They have kid drinks, aka sugar cups. And their sweet milk-shake like drinks do not have coffee! The staff are sweet, and quick. The inside of them all is like a gas station vibe or a literal gas station. read more

Marylou's Coffee is a NE chain with a diverse coffee + tea and treats menu. This location is connected to a gas station, but there's plenty of place to park. Inside the store, the pink branding and aesthetics is very evident. There were a lot of baristas eager to help me decide what I wanted to try. Also, there are plenty of flavor syrup options, which was kind of overwhelming but exciting. My barista was super nice and gave me recommendations and explained what specialty and extra specialty meant. The coffee roast itself is a medium blend and isn't too bitter - I'd recommend it to someone with a sweet tooth. I ordered a white chocolate chip extra specialty iced coffee and it tasted great - comparable to Peet's iced white chocolate mocha. For the price and quality, I'm definitely adding this to my regular iced coffee rotation so I can try more new flavors. read more

I am posting here as I was unable locate the direct email of the owner/manger. I would have preferred to bring this to their attention privately to give them the opportunity to correct it before posting to Yelp as my only feedback option. Today between 9-9:39, I stopped in at MaryLous as I suffer from Crohns Disease as asked to use their restroom. I was denied access to the restroom. When I asked if they had any restroom available I was told (rudely) that they do not have public restroom. I then left. While I was able to access a restroom facility about 5 minutes away at a gas station- I know that others who suffer from this disease or ulcerative colitis may have not been able to utilize this option. The first Restroom Access Act (also known as Ally's Law or the Crohn's & Colitis Fairness Act) passed in the state of Massachusetts in 2005. These laws seek to ensure that people with certain medical conditions have access to employee-only restrooms when a public one is unavailable. Specifically, the state-based model legislation: Ensures access for persons with certain medical conditions, including Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, as well as those with ostomies, Generally applies when the following conditions are met: 1. When the retail establishment has two or more employees currently working(there were 3 employees working at this time, two behind the counter and one restocking). 2. When the employee-only restroom is in a location that is both safe to the patient and not an obvious security risk to the retail establishment. (I noted the location of the employee bathroom was accessible). While a business may ask to see medical paperwork as proof of your condition. It is not required to access the employee restroom. Please educate your staff on becoming family with Ally's law. Additionally, I think the staff at this particular Marylou's could use some training on the ADA act overall, and some basic human compassion. read more

Was it awful? That's what I asked my husband as he took his first sip, because that's what I was expecting. We were in the bumper-to-bumper traffic heading for Logan Airport. We had already been driving for 2+ hours and we were facing a 12 hour flight home. We stopped to fill up the rental car's gas tank. Where we come from, gas station coffee is about as bad as it gets, but we needed the caffeine. Plus, it's usually a dead giveaway that when a business feels they need to advertise "the best [fill in the blank] in town," it's not. I asked for NO flavors because we weren't looking for sugar. I didn't know then that flavors are Marylou's signature feature. I got a raised eyebrow, but the woman said, "I can make you a latte." Did she ever! Nothing to mask the coffee flavor, not over roasted or stale. Just surprisingly good espresso. In a gas station! Consider my assumptions shattered. read more

Marylou's... a staple coffee shop that first began catering to South Shore residents and since then, has branched out to other parts of MA, with Waltham the farthest north of Boston and also locations now in RI. They open early in the morning every day at 5am and close later than most coffee spots, at 8pm. My favorite drinks to get from here include: the caramel lou with no whipped cream and oat milk, funky fanabla, and their red bull infusions. The staff always make the drinks fast and get you in and out. After ordering your drink(s) and paying at the register, drinks are ready by the time you finish paying! On my first visit to Marylou's, I was pleasantly surprised! I decided to try the caramel lou, and it was absolutely delicious. We also grabbed some coffee pods to enjoy back home in CT. The service was speedy, and the staff were all very friendly. If we find ourselves near a Marylou's again in MA, we'll definitely be making another stop. While they did offer food, the menu wasn't very extensive, so I likely wouldn't opt for food here next time. read more

i've gotten missing items and my drinks have been made incorrectly. this is silly during delivery orders, as i'm usually unable to go to the store itself. i'd probably be able to mention it at the time if i went to the store, but im disabled and rely on delivery. when i rely on delivery i have a certain amount of trust when it comes to the restaurant making my food and i've consistently gotten orders made incorrectly or food items completely missing, which im unable to get refunded most of the time. i wish they would do better and acknowledge it, instead of manipulating reviews on doordash to only make them appear more positive then they are, when the review is made by the same person over and over again. they only show the 5 star reviews, when there was a ray of reviews a few months ago i love their coffee but i want to enjoy it when i order it read more

MaryLou's is a popular local coffee shop in eastern Massachusetts that girls are obsessed with. I am by no means a coffee connoisseur or a coffee drinker for that matter. I was curious and wanted to see what the hype was all about for myself. Before visiting my best friend at work, I decided to treat her to an hazelnut cinnamon iced coffee with skim milk from Marylou's. There was a line out the door, but it moved rather quickly. I come here every time I'm south of Boston. If you are here for some caffeine, this is not the spot for you. This is a spot that has a variety of flavors with a pinch of a coffee taste to it. Personally, I think this place a watered down, but my boyfriend is totally in love with their peanut butter world wonderful. Staff are always super friendly and respectful. The do not have a parking lot, but people just park along the side of the store on the street. Put your GPS on because you'll definitely miss this place unless you're a local. read more

I come to this location randomly when I am going to ups and I will say it's a bit overwhelming the first time you go in there.. if you have an opportunity to look at the drinks online prior to going, I would highly encourage that. I will say that if you don't know what to order they do ask what you normally drink / like, so they can help you make a decision. I got one of their signature flavored ice lattes. It was decent. I would normally expect a place like this to have some good breakfast sandwiches or some such. Best I could get was a bagel. There's no indoor seating and no public bathroom. One table with two chairs on the porch -- my chair was wobbly. Definitely a grab-and-go type place. Staff was friendly, though. read more

Came here a few times already, the customer service is consistently great. The service is quick, when you walk in, you get greeted by a girl who would be making your drink, while she is making your drink, another girl rings you up. The coffee is unique and delicious. This has got to be the worst coffee ever!!! Seriously, south shore Bostonians actually rave about this? I was directed here by one of my medical colleagues, who, absolutely raves about the coffee here. Sorry, but being Sicilian and having traveled the world, I've had some great coffees, and even now and again may settle for a Starbucks, and that's pushing it. Yet, this is not coffee, this is some sugar water with a drop of the lowest quality coffee bean. The owners here may want to take a look at their staff, as well. Even though none of the "under breath" comments were directed at me, when you can outwardly make jest of someone's deformity and/or disability..... that's pretty low. To be honest, the person making the comment should ideally do some self reflection, as she was not anything to write home about. Furthermore, her IQ was that if an amoeba, and I'm being gracious. In hindsight, if the fine people of Boston want to do themselves a favor, I wouldn't waste your money on this establishment. I'd rather go to a great coffee place in Seattle and get a real cup of caffeine, and be treated with a little respect. I've also noticed that others have commented on this occurrence, and find it unacceptable that the corporate offices don't intervene. She was eating I believe potato chips WHILE ringing up my order. She picked her teeth and everything and then handed me my money. Been to the Hull, Weymouth and Q-town locations: all a big thumbs down. Never liked the gimmicky young girls in tight tshirts...it's weird and perverted and that has been their schtick since the 90s all while trying to hide the fact the coffee is watered down to save money and make more profit. If you are looking for specialty coffee, this beats out Starbucks by 100 percent. There regular coffee is not anything amazing, but they make amazing specialty drinks both iced and frappe style. I had the Girl scout cookie, tasted just like a thin mint, soooo good I drank it in 5 minutes. The coffee shop is in a house, with all local high schoolers/younger employees, but the place has a real nice homie feel to it. I went in the morning and afternoon, both times it had a line out the door. They are extremely fast though so I was not waiting on line for more than 5 minutes. Terrible customer service, especially at the 308 Willard st location. Some of the girls here are rude. There's no reason why every recent visit I've had the cashier throws my straw at me onto the counter. It's not just one employee either so that's a bit concerning. First of all I don't know how often they are wiping down those counters, especially during COVID so throwing my straw onto that counter is a health risk. Not to mention that it's just blatantly RUDE and uncalled for. It doesn't matter how polite you are these ladies don't know how to offer decent customer service. I've seen them with my eyes hand customers their straw but throw me mine. Only giving them 2 stars because they move the lines fast. read more

So so SO glad to be living closer to the Quincy area because I absolutely love MaryLou's. Been here a handle of times now and the coffee has been consistently delicious every time. This should be your go-to place if you love the sweet flavors. I've tried their extra speciality iced coffee drinks (Girl Scout Cookie, cinnamon hazelnut fluff, strawberry shortcake) and each have been delicious (can't choose a favorite!). The only thing I would critique is that the amount of whip cream on my drinks are not the same (either small amounts or just enough). Other than that, staff is nice and gracious each time and coffee tastes amazing. read more

Absolutely no complaints about this visit to Marylou's. Whenever I get to the south coast area, I have to try and find a Marylou's. This one was closer than previous visits and a much nicer location. I love their selection of k-cups. They really do taste like the flavor that's advertised so I picked up a couple boxes (2 for $14.99 which is a great deal). This time, we went with the iced strawberry shortcake coffee and it was amazing. Absolutely delicious and tasted as advertised! Being that I am a huge fan of Starbuck's because I need my coffee to be strong, I always make time for a stop at MaryLou's when I'm in the South Shore. My favorite is the iced twix! No matter how busy they are, the girls working there always make sure to ask how my day is going. It always smells wonderful when you walk into Marylou's. From their wide assortment of pastries and baked goods to all the wonderful flavors of coffee that they have brewing, it smells heavenly in there. My favorite drink to get at Marylou's is the iced mochacinno (spelling?). It's basically chocolate milk with espresso - The perfect refreshing treat. Went in (the one close to Quincy Center) for the first time to order a hot coffee (just cream no sugar) and the server asked me if I wanted to try any flavor since "they don't have any calories anyway" (!!!) I said I liked the taste of regular coffee. Left and realized they forgot to add the cream and when I came back he said: "I thought you liked black coffee" I said yes with no flavors besides the cream and he said okiii. Also coffee tasted sweet, just bad in general, tossed it right after and went to Gunther's where your requests don't need to be justified and are not met with attitude. What a rude service! I like my coffee strong (which it isn't at Marylou's). Not the best coffee in the world, but I do make sure to stop by every time I'm in the area. What I love is that they have such a large variety of fun flavors! My favorite is Milky Way. read more
