Where are the labels on my drinks??? I ordered a bunch of drinks for my family, and some are similar drinks with customized amounts of sugar, ice, tapioca vs. lava pearls, etc. and none of my drinks came with labels on them as all bubble tea places usually come with. How am I supposed to know which drink is which? Anyone with common sense would at least mark the cups with a marker or something, if their label machines weren't working etc which I am assuming is the case, unless they just didn't feel like sticking it on at all for some other reasons... pretty annoyed. From the start I loved that there was a kiosk to order at! That way I could see all my options, take my time, and look at photos. The service was super quick and the worker that gave me my drink was very friendly. Overall this is a safe spot for bubble tea. The taro milk tea was what I expected it to be and the boba was chewy--but I am pretty sure it wasn't made in house, (it didn't have a lot of syrup and it wasn't warm.) But I know this is a chain so if you're anywhere in NYC and need a boba fix this is pretty good--but you can also definitely find some place better. read more

i love love love coco, my bf and i went, i bought a taro boba milk tea, my boyfriend got a honeydew smoothie with added lychee. the drinks were great, only a few complaints :( my taro flavor was quickly turned watery and my boba was slightly overcooked. the drink was still great my boyfriends honeydew smoothie wasn't fully blended so it melted quickly. other than that the service was great, very cool inside considering it's super hot out, drinks came quickly. would go back!! read more

I walked in yesterday to have a delicious Taro milk tea regular sugar and ice. No bubbles. I know. It's crazy to not have fun things to chew in your beverage. I liked my cold beverage. I thought this was tasty, but a tad sweet. Next time, I'll get less sugar. The service was okay, and my friend was new so she was confused over the customization process. You can decide how sweet you want it, how much ice you'd like, and the size of your drink. It's amazing how many choices you can make within a day. To be transparent, this place is small and cozy. If you are still feeling the pandemic scare, I feel like it's not a spot to stay and linger inside. There is no where to drink it inside. You have to take it to go. Luckily, there are a ton of space on Open Streets on 34th avenue if you just walk up or there's Travers Park nearby. read more

You don't expect too much Boba on the weary, edgy Latin back streets of Jackson Heights in Elmhurst, close to where I discovered my tiny, wonderful, homeless Sammi Puffle, but this Coco is tucked away close to Roosevelt and all the action of the Latin heart of NYC, and has a lot of Latin employees and a Latin flavour about it, while still has excellent Taiwanese authentic Milk Tea, like many other locations of Coco. It's probably not quite as good as the ones over in Flushing, but they served me late, and it's still an excellent location of this great milk tea shop which New York loves and I love too. My notes said: they wouldn't change a 50 (way too many people in NYC won't), but they liked me and flirted, and made a very sweet very creamy milk tea with ok bubbles, a little tasteless and rubbery, but then so is your bf's thing. read more

I wasnt a fan of Coco the first time I tried their milk tea in another location. But I was surprised to see this location opening in this neighborhood since I only saw Kung Fu tea around 82nd st before, but they're cash only so I dont bother. Today I tried my favorite Hoji tea, but milk tea bubble tea; I fell inlove with this very roasted tea when I visited japan. But this one was a bit of a let down, too watered down and not enough milk for a milk tea. Their bubbles have a bit of a hard chew and not soft; like when you leave gummy bears out for a while and then chew....... low quality. But in an almost all spanish area, I guess they'll have to do. I drink way too much bubble tea to love this place, because I've had better, and much better.... My boyfriend got the Berry lover, and that tasted better than what I ordered. The fresh berries contrasting with the sweet cream was good. He likes it. Pro: they take credit cards and staff speaks fluent english. The staff was friendly and helpful, which was mainly why this wasnt a 2 star rating. Con: their cup design is a more narrow cylindrical cone shape and it's more slender even though it looks tall, in short for a large...you're getting less drink in your cup comparing to other bubble tea places. I got the berry party with no sugar but it was still way too sweet, which had nothing to do with the lychee jelly I got. I recommend reducing the sweetner by 50% at least. The drink itself was good. It had strawberry puree. It contains green tea & cranberry juice which is undetectable. It comes with a slice of lemon. read more

Coco has just opened a few days before and I was expecting quality service with fresh fruits and no preservatives. That did not happen. I ordered just the milk tea but got the bubble tea which was okay as I was kind of hungry and I guess the starch did fill me up! I think I've got a new favorite drink! Super glad they lookout for lactose intolerant peeps as I was told they use nondiary milk powder. What a great addition to the neighborhood! It's not cheap ($4 a drink on average) but worth every penny if you are a bubble tea aficionado like me and my daughter. We have tried the grapefruit tea, the mango green tea, the lemon green tea, the vanilla milk tea and the classic bubble tea on our visits and all were refreshing and tasty. Hey my name is Jeff and I'm a former employee of the store so I'll leave you the best and most accurate review of the pros/cons do's/ and donts! PROS - 1)Generally if it's not extreme rush hour I.E. 3-6pm staff is actually extremely fast at pumping out drinks although there are many instances like in training employees or delayed shipping resulting in shortages which is out of their control that sometimes delay 2)Actually most of the staff their has extensive tea or drink knowledge and sometimes are up for a chat but remember it's a minimum wage job, at the end of the day they just gotta give your drink and if they only give a smile and thank you, can't be upset at them because they try their best to talk so A+ for effort 3)Out of the 14+ CoCos in New York were consistently rated as the best drink makers so feel free to challenge their authenticity cause I know I made amazing drinks and I learned from them! 4) Only diverse CoCo out there!!! First non-Chinese staffs in the company and pride themselves for being adept to serving all customers and languages!!! Super cool memories. CONS - 1) if it's nearing 9:30pm don't be upset if there's no more bubbles or other items, yes they understand the policies state they should have until closing but please keep in mind it takes an hour to prep and make most of the items so if it's busy and they run short just try again in the morning, can't go wrong there! DO'S - 1)Please do tell the staff if their drinks are really good it makes them feel happy and helps the atmosphere, also if you don't like the drink be constructive and tell her why, if it's too sweet they will most always refund your drink( so long as it doesn't contain yakult(yogurt) which is really expensive and can't always be refunded) 2) don't be afraid to ask for changes in drinks like sugar content or less or more ice/milk yes it's in small text but it's allowed! DONTS - 1) DO NOT ask for combined drinks, super religious following on menu, don't mess around with it 2) Card has a $5 minimum there's a sign on top of the cashier stating it/ no bills above $20 allowed so don't be surprised if you're denied. 3) Managers are equal to employees, don't ask for one unless you know it's a manager problem like money charges or complaints beyond drinks. 4)No pick up orders (as of September 2017) can change in future. 5) personal experience - do not order multiple chocolate/caramel/vanilla drinks because they take time to make, yes the staff gets pissed off if it's rush hour and someone orders 3 chocolates lol cause then we look bad for taking long. 6) Taro is taro tea not black/green 7) please please please stop asking for no ice because it's more drink... we fill it with water so it dilutes it anyways. Plus the sealing machine overflows if there's too much drink and we have more clean up to do! Be nice to them too. 8) NO THERE IS NO COCONUT DRINKS !!!! CoCo is a Taiwanese bubble tea branch, CoCo is coconut in SPANISH it's not rocket science why there isn't any. 9) all drinks are made with lactaid products if they do have milk so we can be friendly to all 10) you don't need to have bubbles if it's a bubble tea store, it's just their specialty feel free to order whatever ya want Just enjoy and have fun!!!
