Was my Red Mango creation $16? Yes Was I shocked when she weighed it? Yup Was I mad about? Absolutely not because I definitely downed the whole thing. Prices def went up, but I also filled up a pretty big cup because I hadn't been to this location, or any location for that matter, in some time and I was in need of a comforting treat. Coconut and Mango at my go to's with mango, white chocolate chips, shredded coconut and white chocolate sauce toppings. And let me tell you, their product hasn't changed as it was still quite enjoyable. Finally it's a small location, but kept clean and the staff were sweet. Next time I'll try a smoothie. I love Red Mango! I usually come here for the smoothies and the bowls but they have yogurt as well. The mango smoothies and the peanut butter acai bowls are my go tos here. They also have a good banana and peanut protein smoothie as well. They are quick here with service and friendly as well. It's right off of 71st ave but right on Queens Blvd. Parking is mostly metered and it's a busy area. When the weather is nice they have seating outside as well. read more

Since when they don't let you sample for new flavors. I'm not sure what's going on with Red Mango. I have been coming to this location for the last 7 years and I feel like each year it's going downhill. They had a grade C pending here for almost a year now. They don't let you sample new flavors anymore and they no longer have a dairy free options. I feel like now then ever before you need a dairy free option. I know there are certain people that swear by Red Mango. Let's call them mango mega fans. This is maybe the second time I've ever had frozen yogurt at Red Mango. I can say, if you're looking for a cool refreshing treat, with less calories than ice cream, Red Mango is a good alternative. You pay by the ounce and it was around $11 for two frozen yogurts, although mine had more than my friend's. I topped the coconut vanilla frozen yogurt with sliced almonds and it was a perfect treat on a hot summer night. The cashier was friendly and helpful. No indoor seating but they have an outdoor seating area overlooking Queens Boulevard and Austin Street. I'd come back to try their smoothies. read more

Hands down this the best Red Mango in NYC I've now become addicted to their new coffee flavor. (Sorry Tangerine, my new love love pineapple and Taro, I still love you, just differently!) And the staff is kick ass awesome: Jin, Maria, Nicole, Marcel .... First time checking out this spot. For context this is a self service type of set up, you get the bowl from the back, add the yogurt of your choice then add your toppings. Once you've selected the toppings you then put your cup on the scale and the cashier checks you out: we sat outside as it was a nice day! All of the toppings were fresh and delicious ! I like being in control of how much frozen yogurt and toppings I want instead of describing to someone I want 3/4 of a scoop of crushed nilla wafers and 5 Captain Crunch nuggets. I can see how being self serve could be messy but for the most part, the self service topping section here is clean and well kept, which is another big plus. There are other Red Mango's in the general vicinity but given that those are not self serve, I generally skip those outlets for this one. On big negative in my book is that they used to stock the Cookies and Cream flavor but haven't been for some time. They do have an Oreo flavor but it just isn't the same. So one more time I ask,..... I've been going to red mango for years. The frozen yogurt is good. I like the mango and pomegranate together. What I don't like is paying $10 for frozen yogurt without even any toppings on it. Red Mango has become ridiculously expensive for the quantity you get now. Even the smoothie prices are expensive for the size. The customer service at this location is pretty subpar. I've actually stood there more than once waiting for the employees to be done with their conversation so I could be rung up. The attitudes are very blah. Stopped by Red Mango just to try out their milkshakes. It's my first visit to a Red Mango spot ever so the milk shake would be my starting point before I get to the yogurts, smoothies or anything else they got to offer. As I have been reviewing certain spots from time to time since I started on Yelp, I don't put price as a factor in my reviews anymore because this is NYC, almost everything here is guaranteed to be on a steep price, let's not kid ourselves here. I mainly review on the freshness and taste of the product overall as well as customer service and they were both pretty good. I guess I came at a good time before the lunch rush. I went with the chocolate shake, yeah relatively simple but the overall design and taste of it meshes so well together. Yeah $7.59 would be a bit much for the shake but I've paid the same exact price on Carvel shakes so it is what it is. I'm willing to try out more of their stuff. I have a decent expectation of efficiency for the brand or at least this location. read more

I have mango metaboliser smoothie last week and quite good. But today I made my own icecream bowl having vanilla, chocolate cream, strawberries, pineapples, almonds, gellies, cookie powder, marshmallows, m&m's and so on. Favorite frozen yogurt place in queens ! I have been coming to this place for years and it is most certainly the cleanest and welcoming red mango i have visited . The staff is very welcoming and friendly . For a while their system was down so I wasn't able to get points on my member card but they always reminded me to save my receipts so they can honor the points once their system was back and running again which was awesome of them . They are always stocked up on fresh fruit and toppings as well as there froyo flavors . The place itself is quite small but in the warmer weather they have outdoor seating which is lovely when you arent in a rush and just want to enjoy your froyo then and there . Never disappointed ! The yogurt is still okay, but has management changed? I witnessed a man working there be extremely rude to a customer that asked to check if the price of the frozen yogurt was correct. He basically tried to embarrass the elderly lady (who he referred to as old lady when speaking to two of his employees) and was very gruff and said something like "trust me, we were not trying to cheat you out of 5 cents". He was actually off by 60 cents based on what I heard actually, and regardless of a mistake or not, there are better ways of handling the situation. Like , it's customer service 101. Now that I am reading some of the most recent posts from this summer, it's seems there has been a price increase, so no wonder the lady questioned it. This location I always have an issue at when it comes to the frozen yogurt. The labels on the machines aren't always correct. They have a lot of toppings to choose from and you pay by the weight. I used to get the peach flavored ice cream with dark chocolate pieces and gummy worms. Doesn't sound very appetizing but it tastes amazing. You can eat outside the place when the weather improves. I looked at the Menu Board and the prices weren't outrageous. I ordered the Kale/Apple/Lemon Juice one on the menu. Counter person told me it takes 7 mins to make. I approved. Juice was fresh and easy to drink. I can taste the apple juice first, a little kale and definitely lemon juice. Not too sweet. Since it's fresh juice, I made sure to drink it immediately. read more
