Everyone working here is very nice and smiley, probably due to 'new job syndrome' I hope they stay that way and don't let the hours and hours of cutting up pineapple bring them down. The grand opening free yogurt day was awesome! They had a live DJ ( DJ NYCE) and a live dancing yogurt cup. He was giving everyone a show while they waited for their free yogurt. I don't know how but the workers had no idea I was even in the store. They seemed startled when I walked up to the counter to pick some toppings. The yogurt itself did taste good. I don't see anyone cleaning handles after people touch them. The cups are all out there against the wall for people to touch and knock over. I don't know how sanitary this place is in a time like this. I prefer the old Red Mango's where the employees put the yogurt in and you can actually pick the cup size. What happened to those? Since "Red Mango" is a franchise, it could be difficult to give it an accurate rating. Marquis the chef would agree that all the "Red Mangos" nearby are pretty decent, so there's not much negativity to be addressed. Great customer service with friendly and helpful staffs. Definitely will come here more often with my kid as the weather gets warmer! They also provided some seats for customers to eat the fro-yo outside, however we got bad luck that someone smoking cigar right outside of the area which is the only bummer (but I won't minus a star because it wasn't Red mango's fault). read more

When i came on Yelp to give a review and a request for Red Mango i saw that so many locations of it closed. And it is no surprise! We passed by yesterday evening with a friend craving Vegan frozen yogurt, real tart frozen yogurt taste as good as when they first started. But what we found was terrible over sweet, generic oraio, pumpkin spice and peanut butter options. Super sweet and yukky nothing healthy nothing like pomegranate little tart real yogurt flavor. Where do we live? You can use vegan milk for any flavor and remember that if people wanted discussing syrupy options they would go for regular ice cream truck. Please! no wonder you keep shutting down every where. After we tried one or two samples, left without buying anything. Too bad it was late or else I would look for a Pinkberry, i now must give them a try. read more

I used to love this place and went a few times a week, but they kept raising the prices. The fro yo is very good and I'm a fan of the flavors, but if you're paying $7 to $9 for something that barely fills the cup, it's sort of ridiculous. I'd only come back if they lowered the prices. Fro yo should not cost the price of an entire meal. They charge it because we are willing to pay it, but now I'm choosing not to. Inflation is no excuse. This is a mark up of 500 percent with barely any seating. Places in the Manhattan charge as much but at least you have a place to sit with a date. Also, there's a weird sign on the tip jar that says "college fund" for the longest time. I'm not coming in to pay $9 for fro yo AND the staff's college tuition, just because they made the fro yo. That's what the price of the fro yo is for. Plus, I served myself, maybe I should ask for a tip. Let the owner pay for college at those prices. read more

I really enjoy this Red Mango. Know why? They always have awesome flavors! They have an outside seating area that's perfect after dinner and walking around Austin St, or to just enjoy a sunny day after work. Their smoothies are good--try the Banana Peanut Butter one! My favorite combo is their Dairy-free, sugar-free dark chocolate with rainbow sprinkles. It's so yummy, and doesn't have that *sugar-free* aftertaste AT ALL! I actually didn't realize it was sugar-free until I went back a week or so later. Staff is always nice, but they usually have only 1-2 people working, so if it's busy and people want samples, it may take a while to check out. Go and enjoy this Red Mango! read more

Came in there when it was empty and my boyfriend made his order first because I haven't decided yet. When I'm ready to order I step up in front of the cash register to let the girl know I'm ready and two other other people that just walked in got their order taken before me and I stood there patiently waiting still the first person in line. I was a little surprised to see Red Mango opening up when there were already several similar places nearby. However, Red Mango is the first fro-yo place in the area that was a name I recognized, so that will draw in some business (at least from me, but probably others as well!). The shop is a tiny little sliver on the corner of Queens Blvd and a cross street that has a handful of restaurants, giving it a prime spot on the walk between dinner and the subway. It's a build-your-own setup, with an okay selection of flavors (I think there were 8?) and an okay toppings bar. I was there kind of late one day and some of the wet toppings (think sliced fruit) looked a little sketchy, but I'm sure it was fine. They have been doing a couple of promos to get business flowing (postcards in the local mail, 20% off if you bring back a receipt) and they seem to have a reasonable flow of customers whenever I walk by. I usually get the original tart flavor with Mochi (Japanese rice cake) and diced strawberries. This location isn't ideal for large groups. It barely has room for chairs. I love to drive to this Red Mango, because there is always free parking right by the store. It's also on Queens Blvd, so you do not need to make any turns. Although, there is a little bit of traffic lately on the service road, because they closed down one lane for construction. Anyways, it was always a pleasure to go to this Red Mango. Red Mango has to be my second favorite Fro-Yo place and this location makes a great addition to the neighborhood. It's close by the train and it's a block away from all the restaurants located on Austin Street. I personally like the fact that this location is self-served and you can mix and match flavors/toppings. I'm not a crazy fan of their flavored fro-yo, therefore I stick with the original flavor and top it off with some fresh fruits. Red Mango's fro-yo is creamier and sweeter compared to Pinkberry (their original is very tarty). But my all time favorite has to be Yogurtland in Bayside. They have more exotic flavors like guava grapefruit sorbet. But nonetheless, I'm more than happy with this Red Mango. I can grab a cup to go on my way home! read more

I've never had red mango before but as we walked by I saw their new pumpkin pie flavor and had to try it! The place is small but very clean. The guys working there were very nice and let us a try a few flavors. I got the pumpkin pie flavor and it was delicious, so creamy and smooth. They have a nice selection of toppings from fresh fruit to bobba, you must try the bobba it's like a little fruity explosion in your mouth. The only con is the cups are huge which might lead to you over filling your cup and that might cost you more $$$. Overall I would definitely come back when I'm craving some frozen yogurt. read more

Love frozen yogurt especially being that I'm lactose . Only thing I wish it wasn't by the weight. It can be pricey.
