Love frozen yogurt especially being that I'm lactose . Only thing I wish it wasn't by the weight. It can be pricey.

I have become a regular customer at this self-serve branch of the frozen yogurt chain. The quality of the smoothies and frozen yogurt and the customer service for the most part have been very good. Be aware that this location is relatively small compared to many of the others I have visited, although there are tables and chairs placed outside weather permitting. Inside, there are two bar-style counter tops and at least one chair. However, there is a ledge across the self-serve yogurt machines if you wish to sit. While small, the unit is relatively clean and well kept. Once on a visit, I saw that the employee behind the cash register made his way to the yogurt machine to tend to it after a customer had just used it. Now that's an employee who does his job well. Have $5.00-$6.00 with you if you want to order a smoothie in small size (the least expensive smoothie costs nearly $5.00 while the most expensive costs nearly $6.00). This Red Mango branch is certainly worth a visit. read more

Yogurt: yummy Price: absolutely ridiculous. Of course you have no choice but to use a super large container. Only filling it halfway with yogurt/no topping cost me almost $8! For context, I grew up in Forest Hills. For over 20 years there was a Tasti d Lite store on 71st continental. While their price did go up a bit due to increased rent (which eventually forced them out of business), I never paid more than $5 by the end of their run for a medium yogurt (which was always over filling the cup). There were also options for sizes! College fund tip jar: this is just obnoxious. As accustomed we have to fill our own cups. Perhaps tipping if you order a few smoothies makes sense, but tipping for weighing my yogurt is over the top. As a side note: I've written to customer service about offering different sized cups at more of their locations over a year ago and never heard back. Edit: I appreciate the reply. However, you did not address the issue of the cup sizes. Yes it is self serve so in theory I the customer can decide how much to fill the cup with. However, it is EXTREMELY difficult to figure out what a normal serving should be when the cup is at least 5 times too large. Until you offer smaller, normal sized cups I simply am not going to be a frequent customer, and I am sure that many agree with me. It's not even just about the money, as I want to know and control how much I am eating... which would be much easier to do if you simply offered normal sized cups. read more

Taro flavor yogurt is the bomb! It's not too sweet and it pairs perfectly with some of the sugary sweet toppings. I added mochi, yogurt chips, chocolate chips, and bunch of crushed almonds. The almonds makes this taro yogurt ten times better! It gives it a perfect crunch. I'm pretty glad that there's a Red Mango in Forest Hills. It's been awhile since I've been in one and it's awesome now that everything is self serve. If you want a break from the sugary sour sweet yogurt flavored like mango and other fruit flavors, give taro a try. read more

Newly opened shop in Forest Hills. Bought their yogurt today for the first time. They pride themselves on their product being 100% natural (as per the sign on the wall) as opposed to other places. Long story short - i loved it. Had 3 kinds: pomegranate, white peach and original. Pomegranate is my fav. Loved the toppings too, those bubbles that look like giant caviar are awesome. Yum! Went here after craving fro-yo. Last time I tried fro-yo it was bad (lol I did not buy it from red mango, but somewhere else). I ordered the original flavor and topped it with mochi balls and these fruit ball things(I thought they were boba balls, but I guess they weren't haha) Anyway, glad it came up to only 5 bucks considering it was self serve! White peach is my favvvvvvvvorite flavor. Perfect light lunch/dessert or snack. I like that it is self serve so i can put how much of whatever i want. The service is friendly as well. It doesn't really have sitting room which is the one thing i wish they had. but regardless, love coming here... i go there every week! fruits are mostly fresh, sometimes the strawberries look a little dull. other than that everything is great read more

They have a great menu with a lot of options to choose from- FRESH juice to smoothies that are made on the spot and there's self served froyo if none of them suit you! I have tried this place many times and never had a truly yummy experience. I respect that all these yogurt places have a unique flavor profile of their own. So basically my taste buds repels red mango flavors. I have tried many of their flavors and they were just ok. Vanilla sky is much better as far as flavor. Perfectly delicious frozen yogurt and unlike other froyo spots it actually tastes like frozen yogurt! The peanut butter flavor is surprising good And so is the original flavor. The only down side to this location is that it's really tiny .It should be bigger ;that and they don't offer chocolate covered pretzels as a topping choice at the moment Wish they had more flavors or more interesting ones read more

I've been spoiled by the Red Mango out on Long Island, where they make your yogurt for you, so when I walked into this location and saw that I had to make it myself I was like "Oh! Ok, this is an adventure!" It was fine making my parfait myself but I like it better when they make it because everything is better when someone else makes it! Being that is it self-serve, it is priced by weight. The parfait that I get on Long Island is a standard $6 and change, where as at this location (without banana), my parfait came out to $8 and change. So, I was a little disappointed. The location is extremely small but there were a couple of bar stool seats placed around the room and there was outside seating. The guys that work there seemed pleasant enough. As usual, the yogurt was amazing and Red Mango is one of my favorite spots for treats. I'd go back to this location if I had no other Red Mango option but if I can make it to the spot on Long Island, I'd definitely go there first! read more

the red mango website states that the place closes at 11pm i get there 20 minutes early to make sure they dont close on me and the doors were locked. make and female employees told me it was closed and refused to unlock the door. i motioned throught the door that they close at 11 and they just kept shaking their head. i normally dont care but today was a warm day and i was realy in the mood for froyo. if your website says 11pm then thats the time i expect it to close. wtf read more

This location still has a lot to learn. The staff seems completely unaware that their Club Mango loyalty cards double as prepaid cards, and I have to walk them through it every time. The smoothies here are beyond terrible. Mostly ice, and taste like a $2.00 slushie you could get at 7-11 or Dunkin' Donuts. Crunchy, gritty and syrupy, not smooth and creamy like at other locations. They really need some training here.Very disappointing because I love Red Mango and this one is so convenient. But I doubt I'll be coming here much anymore. read more

Run don't even stop here. This is the worst of the worst. I stopped by last week. I ordered and paid $8. For an Acai Bowl. It was served with a spoon. When I received it was disgusting. With that the girl took my Bowl & threw in the garbage. I contacted corporate, who ignored me. Paid over $8. For nothing. Yummy! I was around forest hills on Saturday and it was warm, so I decided to get Red Mango because my friend recommended it for me. Once I entered it was organized, neat, and healthy. The best part was the ice cream though. Once I ordered I felt like I was going on a flavor adventure with ice cream. I would definitely recommend this to any one who wants a cold, refreshing treat. read more
