This is super filling and would equate to two sittings for me! medium Oreos and cream shake - not very dense and more watery as they use the French vanilla frozen yogurt as the base. This place is... interesting. I usually order froyo delivery from this spot and it's pretty good. There's not a ton of froyo spots in Astoria that's good so I'm glad I can get my fix here. Sometimes they do forget some toppings which is annoying. I've gotten a fruit smoothie here and it was terrible... Super watery and not cold at all... It was so baffling how bad it was... I went in person one time and saw it was a teeny tiny store with one guy working the whole place. It's super cramped and a little chaotic. There were a few other customers in the spot and I had to wait quite a bit to even order my drink because there was only one guy working and he was backed up. While in Astoria doing a little shopping and laundry I made a quick visit to green apple delight for my favorite of a large cold watermelon smoothie and I had to wait on line while the Midwest transplants order acai bowls , wheat germ health drinks and other health kick juices . Wow the frozen yogurt , ice cream , fruit bowls look interesting but it's hot outside and I need my cold fruit drink for the go . Some outdoor seating which is all occupied but it's ok as the car's air conditioner is fine with me . The wall mounted menu display seems endless but eventually you will find and pick something good to sip or munch on. They have plenty of juice drinks for different ailments including for digestion problems , stress , low energy , etc, I personally don't know if it's a cure but a few folks I spoke too all say it does help . Damn they also have shakes and a good variety of them including peanut butter which means I most come back to enjoy it . I ordered ice cream from this place and paid extra money for toppings that I never received. The ice cream was also basically soup by the time it arrived. I called to express my frustration, and the young woman who answered the phone had a major attitude problem. I told her they got the order wrong and that the ice cream was melted, and there was absolutely no attempt to rectify the issues. She said literally asked me "what do you want me to do about it?" Only after I asked for the refund did she agree...but the refund never came, and it is 8 days later. To the management at this place - your employee needs an attitude check. I don't know who was working the evening (7-8 pm) shift on Saturday, March 10, but she has terrible customer service skills. Overall, two thumbs down on food quality and customer service. Located on the same block as my new apartment, I can easily see Green Apple turning into a (semi-healthy) addiction if I'm not careful. They have all kinds of juice and yogurt products, from frozen yogurt and milkshakes to those infamous fruit and veggie-based remedies for various maladies, such as anemia and impotence, which will probably definitely be solved with the restorative powers of citrus. There are six rotating flavors of the frozen yogurt (currently euro tart, strawberry, pumpkin, vanilla, chocolate, and peanut butter) with topping options. I keep thinking of trying it but always end up with a smoothie instead. They have a punch card for the smoothies and juices, so that with every ten drinks you get one free. I got my first free one tonight! I've tried a lot of the smoothies. These are among my favorites: -Strawberry sensation (orange, guava juice, frozen yogurt, strawberry, banana) -Pomegranate Berry Smoothie (pomegranate juice, blueberry, banana, spring water and frozen yogurt) [maybe my absolute favorite] -Peach Medley Keen Smoothie (Peach, orange juice and frozen yogurt) A few of the others have been a little too heavy on the banana for my taste, and I couldn't really taste any matcha flavoring in the "matcha, banana and pineapple" blend. I love this place. I've had many different açaí bowls and I come back to this one each time, even in the winter when everyone else is looking for soup. Green Apple Delight has a nice light feel to their peanut butter topping unlike other places, which can be a little too heavy. These guys couldn't be friendlier here. I once didn't stop in for a bit more than a week and the worker asked if I went on a vacation with a longing tone, lol. The froyo and toppings are on par with the big chains but being that they are a small shop, theres less of a selection. As far as froyo goes, I don't mess with a good thing and usually stick with what I like; so it isn't a big deal. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT ON SEAMLESS. After my food had not arrived for over an hour, I called them to check in and see if my food was on its way. The person I spoke with on the phone was incredibly rude to me and continuously spoke over me as I tried to speak with them about my order. For whatever reason, they called my work number (not the number I included on the order) and I obviously did not answer as it is 10pm on a Saturday night. No one came to my door. No one rang my doorbell. No delivery attempt was made. After contacting Seamless and Green Apple Delight (who claimed that it was "too dark" at 10pm for a delivery to be made), I was only refunded $2 of my $9 order (which they consider to be 50%) This situation was incredibly frustrating, and I have zero patience or tolerance for people who do not respect their customers complaints when the establishment has been found in error.
