Pressed is not far from my apartment so when I had the opportunity to try the Green Juice for St. Patrick's Day I took advantage. The combinations of fruit and vegetables appeared to be unlimited. I had the 50 calorie Pressed and I got my daughter the Apple juice in her Pressed Greens. The experience was great and I feel like I'm trying the latest health trend. I'm thinking the Pressed Smoothies may be a great alternative to ice cream or yogurt when the weather gets hot! Right now it's freezing and I had to turn on the heat. I think Pressed is my favorite juice shop in NYC, mostly due to the reasonable prices (comparably). The juices here are $6.95 each for 16oz bottle and at most other places they are $9+ edging towards $10. There is also a special deal of 6 juices for $30. I wouldn't say pressed juice is something I drink all the time, but here and there I feel like it. I like their greens juices and my favorite is Greens 3- the gingery kick is awesome. Right balance of greens + fruits and tastes great. I finally tried their Pressed Freeze which is a "soft serve" made just of a few simple ingredients- Almonds, Vanilla, Dates, Sea Salt. I do like the simple ingredients! I will say do not expect it to taste like a super cream dairy soft serve- at the end of the day, those are not the ingredients. The Pressed Freeze has a slight grittiness (nothing too deterring) and it isn't too sweet (in a good way i.m.o), and does not taste that creamy. I think it could be creamier and smoother, but also the ingredients are very simple! It was definitely refreshing and tasted good on a hot day- I chose to top with fresh fruit and almonds (3 toppings are included in the price of $6.95 for a small). Nice alternative when you want a healthier sweet treat. I have been to several Pressed locations. This one is great! Nice store front, big open windows with lots of daylight, clean store, friendly service. There is some seating available lined along the windows (probably total of ~8 seats?). Be sure to sign up as a member (the free version)- if I am not wrong there are some rewards/ perks along the way as you buy their products. I think I got either some credit or free juice after buying a certain amount. Anyway, would return to Pressed again the next time the juice craving hits! read more

Food is surprisingly pleasant and more filling than expected. A bit pricey but understandable because everything genuinely tastes fresh and you don't get a stomach ache after eating. Things were moving a little slow because the people ahead of us had a lot of questions but it was great to see the workers interact with so much patience and remained cheerful. I have gotten a few different açaí bowls here now. I appreciate that they have 2 different sizes allowing me to pay less than $10 for the smaller bowl. My one qualm is the variation - sometimes I get very little almond butter or few slivered almonds or less blueberries. The only constant is the banana since they use exactly one banana. The Clean Green smoothie my husband and I shared, size large, was so good that my husband drank nearly the entire thing before I got a sip. it was $15 and worth every dime. It was so good I wanted to walk by that way again to get two more of the green smoothies. I also was intrigued by the blue ones. The ginger turmeric bottled drink turned out to have too much cayenne for me to drink, but this giant green smoothie was the best in ages! So good that I wish we had ordered another. I will be trying to make one of these at home soon. It was amazingly good! This juice bar is very small, right on the corner, with a a large menu. It is hard to decide which one to order first!
