Terrible and overpriced. Honestly worst smoothie I've ever had. I could have made a better one either way nothing

love the smoothies here. The staff is very friendly too and there is good service. Would recommend

I stop real quick before going to cycle class. Took a quick pit before cycle class. Plus I didn't want anything heavy so this was right around the corner. The place was empty for 9am, but the ladies seemed very busy to greet I purchased the water and a quick shot of vitamins...everything seemed good to me read more

With all the ingredients they put in the blue magic all I end up tasting is the banana. Lifetime fitness has better protein smoothies this place was a let down. Delicious splurge! While not cheap, these items are fresh, healthy, and filling. Service is kind however they tend to miss a detail of the order and I make sure to look over the bowl before I take it to go. Plenty of seating and good for people watching. read more

To the manager: you have an employee who closed shop twice on the morning of Dec 14, 2022. I showed up to buy juice at 7:55am and the door was locked. The lights were on and I couldn't see anyone inside, so I waited. Eventually a young woman in a JP apron appeared and unlocked the door. "You wanna buy something?" she asked. I bought my juices and began to drink one in the store. A minute later, she said I had to leave because she had to lock up again. I was so confused that I asked why, she said something about "the manager says so." I watched her cross the street to a food truck and buy something, she then returned to the store a few minutes later and unlocked it again. The photo is her unlocking the second time. I appreciate that staffing is a problem post-Covid, but I thought you'd want to know when an employee is closing the business for personal errands during business hours. read more

This location appears to be closed for the past week, sign on door says "Back Soon". Hope it reopens, was a great store and staff

Just tried to get a smoothie here - walked in and there was a thick smell of marijuana in it. Not a strike against it just yet, but it was just like - whoa very smelly. THEN, we are standing at the counter thinking about what we want but we notice no one was there. At least, we thought no one was there. So we started walking out and we notice a guy standing behind the counter with his Beats headphones on, back turned to us and playing on his phone. We looked at each other and we're like, nope! What the heck happened to customer service! It barely exists in so many of these chains nowadays! But we ended up at Joe & the Juice on Lex and 62nd and they were very responsive and professional. Plus the smoothies were pretty good. read more

Ordered a smoothie and soup through Grub Hub; the soup didn't come and when I called the store, they noted they just left it out since they were out of that particular soup. (If they would have called, I would have picked an alternative) Although I received a partial refund through Grubhub, it would cost me more than my original budget because of the delivery and service fees, so I was left with a partial lunch. Frustrating experience that could have been alleviated with better customer service. read more

I'm on a stupid menopause diet (it's amazing and changed my life, restoring my body to its lifelong state, but I never imagined I would eat this way!) so I have been going to Juice Press since my return to the city. I was always a fan of the Nurse Greenie or whatever that light green smoothie is called. And the Egyptian Lentil soup is heaven. But a lot's changed in the last year or so. They really amped up the vegan snacks. I was happy to see those Vegan Robb puffs I buy in Santa Barbara. The brussels sprouts are my favorite but they sell the beet and the cauliflower, plus some "dragon" spicy version. I tried the new pea broccoli soup on Monday. It's got loads of healthy ingredients, plus 17 grams of protein. I have no issues getting protein as I eat eggs, chicken, fish, tofu, and beef. The flax cracker tubes look like something you feed a horse. Let's just say when I posted on Instagram, I got comments from friends: "That doesn't look too appetizing" and "WTF is that?!" Also, sad emojis on FB. But it was hot (on a frigid day), filling and edible. I've had a change of heart re food. Is this healthy stuff as good as French onion at a fine restaurant? Obviously not. But food is fuel and that's how I look at this eating regime. Next time I will try to tomato (new) or the black bean (though I've been off beans for some time). The juices were always good, but I never tried the acai bowl, as they tend to be high in calories. This had flax and chia plus quinoa puffs that simulated a dry cereal (I haven't eaten dry cereal in decades: it's fattening and not filling). I'm cooking most of my own meals--I know, in one of the greatest dining cities in the world, I'm making my own food---but when busy, Juice Press is a good option. I don't know why the reviews are so negative. The staff is terrific and they all really believe in this way of life/eating. I have a Ninja and make my own smoothies so I won't be spending 10-12 bucks on smoothies, but I liked that bowl and their soups are mostly great. (The ones in the deli case are better than the new ULTRA-healthy ones, though I just tried that pea broccoli, which I won't repeat.) read more

I get an acai or green bowl almost every Friday on my way to work as a treat for the week. Every time it's the same and really good. No complaints. I try to keep the bowls low cal which is nice because you know how many calories everything is and can dictate what you want in your bowl. You get a choice of adding 3 things on top of your bowl and the calories are on the menu next to the item so it's nice. Their soups especially the split pea soup is delicious and super low cal. read more

Juice press has great quality juices that I enjoy drinking; actually cannot live without them! Lucky 7 is my ultimate fave! If you are not into juices, definitely go with this one as a first try; you probably will think you're on a tropical island as you sip away. I've even tried to make this juice on my own but it doesn't come close. $11 for a juice, I know it's steep but it's just so worth it. Always have experienced friendly cashiers/servers at the JP locations I've been to including this one. The dirty detox is $6 which isn't too bad. The charcoal and lemon is strong in this one but it gives a good detox just like the bottle says. Hint hint. The greens, doctor green and greens plus earth are good post workout drinks! read more

Very pricey for an average tasting smoothie. I got the berry antioxidants smoothie and it was just average. And it was $11!! Not worth it at all. The smoothie was too watery. It wasn't that big too it was very small. I would not come back here. The service was fast and the employees were somewhat friendly. It wasn't too crowded on a Tuesday afternoon around 11am. It's ridiculous to be charging $11 for a smoothie but in NYC they can get away with it. read more

I can not deny the quality, the selection, and the helpfulness of the staff. But $10.99 for a green apple, spinach, kale, and lemon juice? Cool Juice Juice Bar on 101st and Broadway makes me the same exact juice for less than $5, fresh pressed to order. I'm just sayin'. It's a great and healthful treat on the run and my health is important to me. That being said, my money is better spent on a daily basis. Once and a while, it's a wonderful morning boost. I could not afford to spend almost $11 on juice each morning. I know I can buy healthful foods and drinks for cheaper. read more

The salads here are all great and filling! I wish they had a fresh salad bar at this location. Their kale chips are great! So crunchy, salty, and spicy it hits the spot. You def feel guilt free when you eat here. They make a good raw falafel salad with secret sauce. I also enjoy the truffle protein salad as well. Im not as into the drinks as most of my friends because they are loaded in calories. I much rather eat the greens then drink them. They always have testers of the new juices so you can try before you purchase. Their soups are great also: moroccan chickpea, lentil, and butternut squash. Those are made fresh there. Its a take out place, theres really no seating. Enjoy read more

July 2021, ordered a cold Coffee Shake with banana, vanilla with added Agave. It was delicious. There are so many healthy drinks on the menu board it was hard to decide, but I am sure you can find something. The service was wonderful and prices are fair. It was a meh experience. It's a franchise so I didn't expect any less. I ordered the almond butter açaí bowl with granola, almond butter and cacao nibs. Tasted ok. Wish it had peanut butter! You walk in to a bunch of samples, walk a little further, more samples, paying for your item, even more samples! WOW what more can you ask for? I always hit up the dessert section and I am proud to say, I've tried almost all of the pies and cheesecakes. There was not 1 I didn't enjoy. I highly recommend it to dessert cravers. Eating these raw desserts made me crave for more and I've been trying to convert to raw vegan because of this juice press. Talk about inspiration! I'm blown away by their massively intricate and descriptive menu- it really can be a bathroom reader it's so dense. I had the raw ravioli and am now a rawmesan convert. When I get sick or I'm feeling like something is coming on, I go straight for the ginger fireball. It really helps! If you've been to one Juice Press you've been to them all. * Expensive cold pressed juices * Silly, rambling postcards bestowing their disdain of animal proteins * Copious amounts of raw foods - some tasty, some gross * Lululemon yoga pants as far as the eye can see Etc... The cold pressed juice scene attracts a certain type of consumer, and no matter where in Manhattan you go, you're sure to encounter all of the above. The 3rd Ave. location here is no different, though I notice they tend to have far more free samples than most other outposts throughout the borough. Had it not been for said samples being widely available, there's no way I would have tried the raw oatmeal... and that stuff is really, really delicious. If there's not already a Juice Press within spitting distance of your apartment, hold your breath for 45 seconds and I'm sure one will sprout up out of nowhere. I like the location of this location. Much more convenient for me (until they finish building the new Midtown East one). It's bigger than the other one I went to, and also much busier, so that might explain that less-than-favorable-service reviews on this page. It was packed! I thought the people working there were nice though. And the samples are definitely a plus. While most of the juice really is delicious.... the Good Weed is probably one of the grossest things I've tried to drink. Liquid tahini, with vanilla? Really? I don't know why I believed it would be fine, but it sure wasn't. Looking forward to trying the edibles and smoothies. read more

As my friend and I walked to The Juice Press, we wondered what $$$$ could mean at a juice and smoothie place. Well, we found out quickly! For $9!!!! we got smoothies - the almond butter cup and the fountain of youth. I was expecting something amazing, mind-blowing, knocking my taste buds out of the ballpark. Unfortunately, I got some strange concoction of blended fruit, coconut water, nectar and some sort of "fruity interests" that was not good. Why I paid $9.80 for a smoothie, I have no idea. The best answer I can come up with is that I must have lost my mind for a brief second the other day. Today, however, my thinking is clear and I know that I will never pay that much for a smoothie again! Definitely not from this place. read more

Only started to go here after a bad experience at Organic Avenue. I used to be a huge Organic Avenue fan until I saw the amounts of sugar that was put into their juices and all these fake claims they make about bio-degradable bottles what not (anything recyclable over a 7 is considered not recyclable) Juice Generation is a great go to spot, friendly service and there is no catch here. The amount of sugar that goes into this is all natural unlike most places. Even the juice itself tastes very different. Why is it that the cayenne even tastes fresher here than anywhere else? Oh because they really are honest and because they really want you to drink the stuff for your benefits not to pocket the money for their own benefits. Very sad how some business's become too big for their own good but Juice Press is completely for the customer. read more

Stay away! I used to come here everyday. Then one day I ordered a Fountain of Youth to go and started choking on a sharp piece of plastic while walking to work so I couldn't bring it back. Post-work-out smoothie drinker. Sometimes I have Jamba (high in calories), sometimes store-bought (Myoplex or Orgain--which is healthiest but low in protein), and Energy Kitchen (best shake in taste and calories, but has splenda or some sugar replacement). In any case, I was eager to try a new protein smoothie place, so I went here and had the PROTEIN KNOCK-OUT. 42g of protein impressed me, and that's about it. Huge rip-off and here's why: for $8.60 I got a banana, a shot of myoplex powder, and some strawberries. It tasted like protein powder in the worst possible way. No banana flavor, no strawberry flavor. If I wanted a horrible protein-flavored shake, I would buy the myoplex drink over-the-counter for $4. This is double the price and tastes exactly the same. Horrible, overpriced protein smoothies. Go to Jamba or Energy Kitchen. read more

I like Juice Press, I really do. Not only does the franchise have whimsical marketing strategies, such as flyers that say "smoking crack is the easiest weight loss program we know of", but they also offer some really healthy options. My favorite items would be Rosie's Romance, the Raw Oatmeal, and the Mochachino. The vegetable quinoa soup is great if you're feeling under the weather, when I was sick, it was literally EXACTLY what the doctor ordered. ALL of their fresh-pressed juices are good, I'm not going to bother listing them all, just make sure to check the expiration date, you're going to want them fresh. Most of the staff members at this location are very friendly, that's always a plus when it comes to any establishment. Everyone for the most part is very helpful when it comes to recommendations (THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUGGESTING I ADD BANANA TO THE MOCHACHINO, changed my life). The only thing I will say, is that sometimes the smoothie vary based upon who is making them. Most of the people know exactly what to put in the smoothie but there are some people who clearly don't and with the relatively high prices, you really want to get what you pay for. I don't like arguing or debating but if you just started working there don't try to tell me there's not dates in a smoothie when it clearly states that there's dates in the smoothie and the other 50 times I ordered it, there were dates in it. read more
