nice earthy atmosphere in there. nice workers and my matcha drink was delicious and had a nice little twist with other fruits inside. overall great place if you like protein drinks and smoothies. go try it!

Solid smoothies but expensive! I got the Protein Buzz smoothie, which was $10. The protein powder was not that noticeable. Staff was nice and they were fast!

My coworkers and I decided to get smoothies for lunch because we had a late and large breakfast. We ordered off of the website, which was easy to use, and picked up the order at the store. Our order was waiting for us in the fridge and was packaged very well. Order: - Watermelon Dragon (4/5) Pros: - A lot of drinks to choose from (juice, smoothies, teas) - There are some food options as well - Quick service Cons: - Expensive Overall: - Pretty tasty smoothie, but I don't think it's worth how much it is.

My acai bowl was like a runny soup and sweet in an artificial candy way :( should've gotten a smoothie or tried one of their grab and go juices those looked good.

It's a juice place! The people were nice. I was walking early in NYC waiting for a meeting and had a freshly made "daily detox" juice to tie me over before breakfast. They have a few seats inside and also outside. Recommended

Absolutely fresh and delicious! The perfect fix when you want your green smoothie. The service was also great, they asked me if I even had allergies and I felt like that was such a thoughtful question!! Will definitely be coming back the next time I visit NYC :)

Not the best Juice Generation experience. I use to be such a fan of the shops around the city but they've changed the menu and I'm just not as impressed. A lot of the smoothies/bowls are filled with fruit and little to no protein items (I.e veggies, protein or avocado.) Skip this chain for a more local establishment.

I'm pretty sure all Juice Generation locations are clean and well kept but this one in specific is especially clean. In the afternoons is well light and the lighting provided by the store compliments the daylight and makes everything more appealing. It's a weird note, but everything just looks good. The store is relatively small so there's not any place for people to sit like the other locations (honorable mention: 63rd and lex location) but there's a table to take your shots or finish your purchase if you don't mind the standing. As for their menu everything is copacetic. All their smoothie bowls are bomb and as far as I know it's possible to add ingredients you've been craving to the bowl, no problem. Only issues that I have (but I've come to terms with) is pricing, it's expensive for a smoothie/health food shop. Also, the consistency of the smoothie bowl isn't great. My first bowl was more watery with thickness in the middle and I opened it up right at the table agains the window. However, my latest bowl was thiccc (which I like). Both tasted good but hey people make bowls differently. Overall, I enjoy a good Juice Generation bowl or "juicy gen" as I like to call it.

This used to be sweet bistro where many days and nights were shared with friends. This particular storefront is even more rare because it's not a chain and is open late, for the way working folk have needed to live here for a long time. It's not Whole Foods or Vitamin Shoppe (or whatever that chain's named), but a humble spot where the selection of vitamins, herbs, topicals and a few pantry staples probably contains exactly what you're looking for. Ask any of my neighbors what they think about your cough, sniffle or dry skin, and they'll tell you, "Go see the vitamin guy on 23rd." And you should. Because for years, he's dispensed sound counsel to a number of us whose needs aren't easily addressed by either of those aforementioned chains or that chain pharmacy who makes you summon a worker to unlock some dental floss. I'd been recovering from RSV when my husband stopped by the Vitamin Guy and told him about my lingering cough and shallow breathing. He brought home some Olbas syrup and a tincture containing a melange of herbs, half of which I was familiar as a TCM patient for a number of years. Within week one I was feeling great relief. A neighbor who'd been hit with the same condition went and had his own chat and relief success story a week after me, and unprompted, said, "Vitamin Guy saved me again!" This is but one of many ways Vitamin Guy's helped me, my husband and many neighbors over 18 years. Go see him the next time you're wondering what you can do about whatever's ailing you; he probably has some sound advice to share, and you'd be keeping the lights on amid the many otherwise darkened storefronts that don't exactly inspire confidence around greater Chelsea.

They have a huge selection of great products - from fresh items to specialty and natural foods, so it's always easy to find something interesting or high quality when I stop in. One thing that really stood out recently was that they were open during a blizzard when so many other places were closed. That kind of reliability means a lot to the community and was incredibly appreciated. The staff are consistently kind, attentive, and helpful, which makes shopping there a pleasant experience every time. You can tell they care about their customers and the store. The prices are a bit on the higher end compared to larger grocery stores, but for a local market with such a great selection and such wonderful service, I personally don't mind supporting them. I agree with other some other reviewers that the people who work there - cashiers aside who are usually very nice - can be rude and aggressive. Somehow many, not all, of the workers/managers could care less about customers versus their task at hand. The result is lack of respect that manifests in intrusive behaviors such as bumping into customers without apologizing, not moving to let customers navigate the narrow aisles and yelling/pointing while directing another worker while customer is literally right there which is akin to invading personal space. The concern is if the store's history and future potential becomes overshadowed by obnoxious behaviors and lose too many customers, over time, to stay afloat. I'm not yet ready to bail but am getting close, unfortunately, esp given alternative markets and/or online options for the same products.
