What was once a relative newcomer to the area, Nature's Vida has been among the wave of many bodega like cafes popping up with a healthy focus. While it's great they offer a lot of quality options, the prices also reflect the inflation of western Queens in recent times. The place is like any other small store that offers groceries, limited produce, and snacks with almost no seating. Most folks are here ordering take out or getting their food via delivery. I've done both and would much prefer their delivery. For the most part, the staff is nice and able to honor substitutions or special requests. Food really revolves around breakfast and lunch items, which include popular choices like salads, sandwiches ($8), and wraps ($8). There some winners and losers of the bunch, but their bacon egg and cheese is good despite being $5. The wraps are relatively solid, the healthy options are cool, but I wish they were a little bigger. It almost feels like everything is a random combo of veggies and cold cuts. While the bakery isn't exactly impressive, I'm stoked they offer a number of different kinds of breads and have a decent selection of bagels. I would also venture to say their smoothies are pretty good, but they're also about $6-8 depending on the cup size. They do have their delivery woes on occasion and for the life of them cannot distinguish between "tomatoes" or "tomato" on their menu. I would settle for Nature's Vida in a pinch, but wouldn't consider it a destination bodega / convenience spot by any means. read more

THERE WAS MOLD IN MY WRAP. The manager and workers refused to own up to it. Instead they tried to hint that I was lying about it and asked why I didn't come immediately to show them (I had brought the wrap to work as lunch). I was again insulted when told that their wraps are made fresh daily. Clearly not! It wasn't until after I mentioned I would never come back and report the store to the department of health did they change their tune. Finally, I received a refund. The location is still convenient and its deli/grocery hybrid is super helpful but I will not be returning back. Also, they often got my orders wrong. See ya never again. read more

Firstly, it's a regular deli kind of store. really local, nothing fancy, which is fine because i was coming for lunch. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad. they filled my salad with romaine hearts, which caused the dressing to taste funny and also made the salad itself watery. the chicken was really good, but the cheese was bland. Love this place. Great little convenience store if you want a sandwich, bagel. They also have eggs, ice cream, yogurt, salads, dry goods, drinks etc. They have snacks, some fruit, candy, and pastries too. They have a lot. The staff is super friendly. Their BEC is great! After 45 minutes I called for an update and the woman on the phone picked up and immediately told me that my food was on the way. I would've been fine with that answer, but then she asked me which one was my order. How could she know it's on the way if she didn't even know what I got? I shrug it off and decide to wait. My food doesn't arrive for another 40 MINUTES!!! You know that point where you're so hungry that you don't even feel hungry anymore? Yeah, that was me. That's totally unacceptable. Ordered a bacon, mushroom Swiss omelette and pink chia smoothie. Both were very good. On a keto diet its important to have low carb and low sugar options available. I will add this order to my list of fail safe breakfasts. There were no other ingredients than what was listed, the smoothie had no added sugars and was pleasantly tasty but not sweet. The omelette had a nice big, fresh portobello mushroom. That was a nice surprise from the nasty canned mushrooms most restaurants try to pass off. Added some sour cream and it was delicious. I gave it two stars because the other people who attend in the deli are extremely friendly. However there is this one lady who wears glasses and who has a resting face who is extremely rude to me. I have noticed how cranky she gets around EBT users which is so rude and disrespectful to the elder and to this young girl who comes here. Love this place. I just moved to the neighborhood a few weeks ago and have found they have reliably fresh produce there. It's not a huge store but you can pick up all the necessities and then some. I've gotten strawberries, bananas, greens. They also have some unique Mexican cheeses and other products from Mexico :) Highly recommend the sandwich counter. I've had 2 sandwiches. The tofu ban mi and and veggie custom sandwich. Both were good and reasonably priced. The also offer juices and breakfast sandwiches. I have yet to try because both times I've stopped by later at night. This place will be a weekly stop for me for sure! read more

I live nearby so I order food here almost every day. No sense of guilt either because the sandwiches, wraps, salads, and smoothies are so fresh and delicious. My favorites are the Buffalo chicken sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich, and the Coco Latte. My boyfriend also likes the roast beef sandwich, the Philly sandwich, El Gallito wrap, and #53 Salad. Prices are reasonable too especially since the menu is mostly health-conscious. Most stuff on the menu can also be customized. It's open pretty late, but they stop making smoothies and juices at around 10pm. The staff is friendly too. Finally a clean, quality, fast, and friendly place in Woodside \ Sunnyside. The store itself is very clean and beautiful. Very reasonable prices, quality food, and smoothies. I usually get my lunches from here when I am working from home. There is no other place really with a fresh selection or veggies, fruits, tasty sandwiches, smoothies and quality convenience products. The only small small complaint I have is that I think they play the music a bit too loud, but that's it! For a small shop, they take credit cards (without minimum). Some have complained about the price of coffee, but I'd much pay for coffee from BK Roasting Co than from DunkinDonuts or Bustello or Folgers. They have wide selection of teas (yes, you can have more options than just green tea or early grey). You can also do basic grocery shopping too. I tried this place again and got the actual bagel this time. (Make sure you select "whole wheat" instead of "whole wheat bread" or whatever.) Much better, but not amazing. One perk for me though is that they are NOT messing around with the extra spread -- I love my condiments, but good god. I usually get A Large orange juice and i LOVE the fact that they Do not use a juice extractor while making it. There are deli's next door to Vida and on the next block, but Vida has really raised the bar for the neighborhood. Yeah, it's a bit pricier than the others, but the heart the people there put into the place makes it worth it. And they have fresh vegetables and make fresh juices! The only minor criticism is the sandwiches come on very thick slices of whole grain bread so they can be tough to eat. read more
