I absolutely love Co Ba! I have visited a handful of times now and will find myself going out of my way just to pick up a che from them. The interior decor is so cute and inviting if you're looking for a place to hang out while enjoying your dessert or beverage. My go to is their Ha Noi Mist and honestly it is one of the best che i've ever had. I love the various jellys and beans that come with it that you truly cannot get it anywhere else. A huge bonus is that they open LATE to satisfy late night cravings. I also had the chance to stop on a different occassion for their coffee and my goodness, it was just as good as their desserts. Don't even get me started on their waffles - their waffles contain mochi with coconut flakes and I love that they give you coconut sauce on the side to dip your waffle in. Nice Vietnamese dessert shop/cafe! Conveniently located and has a good online ordering system as well. I've tried their matcha cloud which is a 10/10! I was in the area and found Co Ba Dessert. I haven't had a Vietnamese dessert drink in a long time. It's located in a strip mall with limited parking. The decor is cute and modern with some indoor and outdoor seating. There is a restroom for customers. I liked the convenience of ordering on a kiosk and you can see the progress of your order on a screen. I went with the Ha Long Sunset (minus young coconut and palm seeds) 50% sweet and it was PERFECT. I also ended up ordering the pandan waffles. What a great dessert place! It's the best che I've had, including those from Vietnamese aunties. There's so many varieties, or you can make your own. The hot and cold ones are all great, and the sampler is great to share with some friends. I thought that the samplers would be small, but each sampler is probably mean for 2-3 people. The atmosphere is also great - new, clean, and modern and sometimes there's live music at night. It's a great place to get some work done, but there's limited seating so hogging a table will probably be frowned upon. The waitstaff are great at recommending different che or other desserts to try. If you like che or Vietnamese desserts in general, highly recommend trying this spot! Of note, this store is in a little strip mall, and rarely there are *interesting* people in the parking lot. We ordered both the cold and warm dessert tasting flights (dine-in only), and loved that each one features three of their best sellers so you really get to try a variety. The Hà Nội Mist and the Hạ Long Sunset with jackfruit were our favorites from the cold flight -- super refreshing and packed with flavor. For the warm flight, the Sa Pa Delight with corn, pandan, and that rich coconut-y goodness totally stole the show. Everything tasted unique, thoughtfully made, and not overly sweet. Co Ba Dessert is tucked away in a strip mall off North First Street which is right across from Samsung in North San Jose, next to Subway and adjacent to Noodle Express. Parkings are a bit scarce so prepare to circle around a bit, especially during lunch time. I love the store's combination of beige, dark brown, earthy red and green interior! It reminded me of Vietnam with reddish brown earth and green forest of bamboos. The full portrait of a beautiful lady wearing traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai on the left wall will immediately capture your attention as well! The portrait pops up the entire place and grounds it at the same time. There are many nice seating areas around the store and all looks zen and tastefully located, such as next to the big windows or against the beautiful portrait. It will give you endless opportunities for Instagram! Yes, please do it for the grams ! You can order at the cashier area or self order at the iPad ordering station. The menu is easy to navigate and has various options from warm Vietnamese desserts to milk teas. We opted for the Classic Jasmine and Oolong Milk Teas as we had many meetings in the afternoon and needed those caffeine Their drinks are lovely with strong and bold tea flavors. The first time I ever tried this place, I ordered the coconut Sub lime and a Pandan waffle but I don't remember if it was the Pandan or Ube flavor. The Sub lime drink and it was fresh and different. It had a slightly sour and then super sweet taste. Then, the next time my boyfriend and I ordered some sweet treats, this is the place I recommend for sweet treats. We have dined in and ordere picks up Tiramisu, and sometimes pistachio slice. We have also tried a chcolocate slice cake. It looks like some cake type desserts are seasonal. By now we haven't tried any of their signature drinks or bowls. After we tried a different place once, Meet Fresh, we became more intrigued by the Vietnamese drinks and bowls at Co Ba because they looked better. Now fast forward, my most favorite is the Hoi An Imperial bowl. I like getting what I know I like, so I always select no white bean paste, and add extra Red Pearls. My taste buds are not used to beans being in a dessert, and the red pearls have a yummy chia seed inside like seed and boba chewy texture on outside. I also wish the red pearls could be added to more of the fruit drinks. the coconut sauce is thick and sweet. I recommend eating the bowl within an hour if you getting takeout because is is slightly warm. My boyfriend has tried different drinks all regular sweet, the Ha Noi Moist, Ha Long Sunset, Kumquat Royale(has first sour then fruity coconutty after taste), Sai Gon Pearl. I really like Sai Gon Pearl. If you don't like coconut, there are still things on the menu you for you. The ambiance is really sweet can be crowded but the vibe is modern and very instagramable , and the parking lot usually has a few or one spot available. I've been once after 6-7 pm where there were no spots, this parking lot gas multiple dining spots. But usually you can get a spot if you wait for someone who is picking up an order. This place is always consistent, and while I saw some reviews about it being overpriced that's why I always come every once and while not too frequently. They also have rewards if you plug in your phone, so that helps too. I highly recommend trying and the sweetness is adjustable. read more

Only real knock is that the location is in an eerie part of town and not really central to anything. Be very careful of those parking spots. Saw one with an uncovered sewer hole. I had the S3 Ha Long Sunset which was a very stacked Che Trai Cay with all the fixings. Really fresh ingredients and well-balanced. My friend had a pandan waffle and the texture was very nice. Similar to Bambu so if you're into some dessert drinks, this is a great choice. Oh, this drink has 2 base options, it's either with coconut milk or coconut water so make sure you choose one! The coconut milk was actually good. Avocado heaven - idk if they're the best avocado smoothie out there but this one was satisfyingly good. Just the right amount of sweetness and super creamy texture! Oolong magic - nothing beats a classic good ol' milk tea! If you don't know what to order, this is always a good default. This cafe was such a delightful find! I stumbled across it on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. The interior is gorgeous--the color palette gives off a tropical vibe, but in a calm, relaxing way. It's beautifully designed and very aesthetic. I also appreciated how clean everything was. There's plenty of seating both indoors & outdoors, and the outdoor area has overhead shade. My group ordered the "Sai Gon Pearl" & "Ha Long Sunset," and both desserts were delicious with great flavor & quality. I tried the pandan waffles and while they weren't exactly my personal favorite, they were still quite good. They're more of a mochi-style waffle rather than a traditional one, so if you enjoy mochi, you'll probably love them. I prefer a sweeter waffle, but the coconut cream dip added just the right amount of sweetness when paired together. I believe they use fresh coconut shreds--something I usually don't enjoy in pandan waffles, but here it wasn't overwhelming or texturally off, so I didn't mind it at all. Service was wonderful as well. The employee who helped us was knowledgeable & very pleasant, and everyone in the cafe was friendly.
