Favorite little spot inside Zion Market

Food is amazing !! Great service and great pricing! It's inside the Zion Market place. Highly recommend! Great quality and great food

Finally made it here! Every time we came to Zion Market we only walked past, but today my son really wanted to try it, so we finally did! We ordered the Red Hot Snow Onion since we love spicy food, and it was the perfect level of heat for us. If you can't handle spicy food, it might be pretty hot for you. The chicken was crispy and delicious, and the sauce was sweet with just the right amount of spice--so good! They have several different flavors, and next time we're planning to try the Padak Chicken. If you're craving Korean-style seasoned fried chicken, I definitely recommend this place!

CM Chicken is located inside the Zion Market. It's just counter service store where you take everything to go, or sit on one of those tables in the food court area. They sell Korean Style Chicken, from wings, half chicken and full chicken. I personally prefer with bone because I think it tastes better than boneless. The Garlic Soy sounded great so I went for a half chicken with bone. It comes with some pickled radish which always goes great with fried chicken. The quality and freshness was perfect as they make every order fresh. Just the crisp of the first bite itself will make you want more. Definitely recommended to try the food here.

Such a hidden gem! These wings are different from the b.b.q wings around the area! This one isn't as fatty/filled with skin. The wings are crispy and seasoned to perfection. I did a phone order and it was ready in about 15 minutes. The lady was also super nice, we picked up on time and she even offered the free white sauce! We got 10 wings for $20

The Original chicken, born-less. #5 Red Hot Paper sauce, very similar with Buldak sauce.

This is my 4th time trying CM Chicken, and every time I've had it, I've had delicious, crispy chicken that's not greasy at all. I especially love Fired original boneless chicken with the #5 red hot pepper sauce, which is a spicy sauce very similar to Buldak sauce. The dice-shaped radish (they give generous pint size) is delicious because it is not too salty or too sweet like other places. Angelica is so sweet and kind every my visit, I really thought she is the owner. Chef Silvano is also friendly, he waves hand and wear his mask when he frying foods. The staff here are so kind to the guests, and the owner is truly lucky to be working with them. It's located inside Zion Market, so it's easy to pick up chicken after grocery shopping, and if you call in advance, the food will already be ready by the time you arrive. There are only a few tables inside, shared with other restaurants, so it's almost like a take-out place. Tq Angelica! See u soon!

I had to come back -- this place seriously has the best fried chicken in town. I ordered three half chickens (onion, hot honey, and spicy garlic), and every single one had perfectly crispy batter. I also love that they give you two full packs of pickled radish.

Was craving korean fried chicken so I thought I'd tried out this new place. It's so good!!!!Perfectly crispy but juicy inside. I've been disappointed with the closest pelicana and bbq, because it'd either smell weird or be way too dry. I think CM will be my new go-to for korean chicken. I ordered for pick up, and the food was promptly ready when I got there. I got the original fried chicken. The worker was very kind friendly! He gave me extra items, so I got to try the onion sauce and it was really good. Flavorful but not overpowering. Made me want to try out other flavors. Give this place a try!!! Food stalls in zion so frequently go out of business and I really want this place to stay. I only write reviews when I have strong opinions, trust me

Wings aren't cooked on a grill like on the picture

This is the third different chicken restaurant at this location that I know of. I ordered a half chicken with hot honey. It tasted pretty good. It wasn't spicy like I was hoping. Each order takes about 20 minutes since it's cooked fresh. The person working was very friendly and gave good service. Wings are cooked in the fryer not on the grill like the picture on the menu. There's a few tables that are shared with the other restaurants. The parking lot can get a bit crazy at times. I would come back.

So Lets break it down. Today was the Grand Opening of CM Chicken. Im not sure if they had a soft opening ahead of today but I was at Zion over the weekend and the place was not open yet. Today was the first day of the GO and they are doing a 50% sale until Sunday. For those who shop at Zion, this is now the 3rd chicken place at this location, it was previously Furai, then Two Dak. I came around 4:45 pm and there was sign saying that they were not taking any more orders until 5 pm, because apparently they had already sold out and needed to get more chicken. From where, im not sure. They were still pushing out orders but just not taking any new orders. I was the second person in line so i was thinking that once I ordered it would be pretty quick. One thing i have to say is that they didn't manage the promotion very well as they were allowing people to order as much as they wanted. Well unfortunately the lady ahead of me ordered like a total of $200 worth of chicken (after the 50% discount) which drastically impacted their ability to push out additional orders. So by satisfying one customer, they then had 10 other angry customers which defeats the purpose of the promotion. The idea is to get people to try the food in order to build up your customer base. In total it took over an hr to get my food which was just a single order of the half and half. While i was waiting for my food, the owner told people in line that they had to stop taking orders because the wait time from ordering had grown to over 1.5 hrs. I know its the grand opening but obviously there could have been a better execution plan. So lets get to the food. Like many other chicken places a typical order comes with pickled radish. The place seems to make their own rather than use prepackaged radish that you find at say Pelicana. I prefer the homemade version as the radish seems to typically have a better crisp to it. Overall i found the size given was adequate. They actually gave me an extra tub as a means of compensating for the long wait time as they told me initially my order was only going to take 30 mins. For the chicken i got the garlic soy and the hot honey. The garlic soy seemed to be one of the more popular choices while the hot honey seemed to be new. I found the sauces to be very good, not to overly sweet and the hot honey had a good kick to it but not to overpowering. The chicken came out juicy, fully cooked, and well seasoned. You can tell that the chicken was in a brine solution before as the meat had good flavor. Often times at other chicken locations, places cut corners on the brining and leave it up to the sauces for flavor which tends to leave the chicken bland and dry. I also thought that the overall breading was nice and not too light or too heavy so the chicken was still crispy and could hold the sauce. Overall it was a well cooked piece of chicken. Kudos to the fact that even though they were busy, they didnt cut corners on the cooking process. So now the big question, is CM Chicken better than Pelicana? I think its too early to tell. Right now im thinking its Pelicana but i think my judgement maybe a little swayed due to the overall poor experience during the grand opening. I think once CM works out some of the kinks im gonna have to do another comparison and do a side by side while factoring price into the equation. I will be honest with everyone, when i did a comparison between Pelicana and Two Dak, my wife and i both agreed we liked Two Dak.

I'm shocked they aren't more famous. Both times I've been here the owner (I think it's him) sees me and before I can even finish saying 你好 (nihao, hello) he's got a sample of dumplings in my hand. The dish I've pictured is something called Cold Lamb. A better translation would be "cold-prepared lamb" but don't let the name fool you, it will be one of the best things you've ever eaten. Huge portions of meat, slathered in chili oil, with sliced cucumbers and lots of roasted peanuts. Then there's the amazing chili oil dipping sauce and a dipping powder that Im going to be thinking about for weeks. This meal was about 30 bucks but it comes with so, so much food that you could easily split it between two people. Will definitely be coming here any time I'm at SNA!

Stopped by during the lunch hour after seeing social media posts about this hidden gem. I order the double chicken sandwich and although in the pricey side ($20) it is a must try. The chicken is crispy and flaky on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. I've had plenty of chicken sandwiches in my day and this is top 3, no question. Ordering was quick and I was able to score some sample dumplings from the cashier while I waited. This is in a food court so the eating area is shared with other eateries. Get here early during lunch time if want to get a parking spot. It gets crowded.

Love this place for it's consistency and overall great vibes…read more It's cool to be able to order so many different levels of spice depending on how adventurous or dumb I want to be. Chicken is always good whether a tender or in sandwich form. Size is still decent too even though they've been recently bought out. Usually they tighten the screws and prices go crazy (it did go up) and size of food goes down, however, it's fair which is not always the case. On my recent trip I heard their new mozzarella sticks won't be back for another month. Major popeyes chicken sandwich situation it feels like. The fried chicken left much to be desired...I got the lowest level of spice (mild), but it shouldn't be bland or sweet, right? Has the seasoning and breading always tasted like it has more sugary than savory ingredients in it? Also, my fried chicken didn't taste fresh and did look a little off-putting, with scattered dark patterns and strange textures. Even if it happened to be overcooked, or they used some random leftover pieces or something, it just wasn't for me. Portions were also disappointingly small. Mac and cheese was tasty, though. The cup was small, but I enjoyed the creamy and savory cheesiness. Interior was blasting loud music. It's fine if you're vibing by yourself, but it's hard to hold conversations with someone in that shop. Inside tables weren't super dirty, but I still had to wipe the surface with a napkin before being comfortable enough to sit down with my food. Parking in the lot of Larwin Square is usually not too bad even during peak hours at the plaza. It's probably safer to park further away from the Dave's Hot Chicken corner to avoid the influx of cars from the Bryan Ave/Newport Ave intersection.
