The sticky, sweet sauce was delicious to bite into. *French Fries: Thicker than in n out fries, crunchy and airy on the inside. The salt granules are large and adds an elevated touch to the whole experience. A bit more expensive than we would imagine. *Ddeok-bokki (medium) : spicy! And please note that there are sesame seeds sprinkled at the top. It is good to let them know in advance if you have allergies to sesame, which a friend did have (thankfully this allergy was not too severe) I was appreciative of the few packets of hot sauce that accompanied our order. The portions for the chicken can always be a bit bigger, if you are looking to eat more chicken! However, given that this is seasoned chicken, I think a good amount of chicken was provided. Needed to bring food to a friend meetup and I knew KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) would be a hit. Decided to pickup from the Tustin location as it has much higher reviews than other nearby locations. Placed my order via phone for pickup within a half hr. When I arrived the pkg lot was packed, but luckily for me someone was leaving so I was able to score a spot close by the resto. Love that this location has a warmer to keep your order hot if it's ready before you arrive. Easily paid and was on my way. The quality of the medium (18 pieces) bone-in soy garlic wings was spot on. Coating was still very crunchy, coating of sauce was nice and the wings had so much flavor. Definitely a hit! Visited my nephew and he wanted Korean Fried Chicken so we came here. Inside, you will find that this location is very cramped with 3 tables. Almost like a hole in the wall spot. Service was good though but it's a shame that they were unwilling to offer 2 flavors for 16 piece chicken order. Most locations I've been to have always allowed it so that was disappointing but we decided to just do all spicy original. And then two more 8 piece with Mala Spicy and Honey Garlic. This was pretty good and the chicken had a crispy exterior but I felt like it could've had more sauce on it because parts of the chicken were bare. 4/5 GANGNAM ($15.99) - gangnam style is a black pepper sauce but there was not much flavor other some spice from the jalapeños. I preferred the soy garlic one more. 3/5 DDEOK-BOKKI ($12.99) - we were a little weirded out when we saw the dish because it was really soupy and liquidy. The rice cakes weren't super flavorful because the sauce kept running off it and I had to use a spoon to get more flavor. The cheese (an extra $2) helped and there was some spice but this was just meh. 2/5 They didn't allow some flavors on some types of chicken and they also didn't allow mixing and matching the flavors you wanted. Fantastic chicken! Terrible service!! We went to get chicken wings yesterday for a picnic. I ordered 16 chicken wings in the golden flavor but she said that was only available for whole chicken. I asked which flavors were eligible for wings and she pointed and said the first 2 columns (there are 3 columns of flavors). So I took a picture to take to the car and show my wife. Before I went to the car, I asked a question about side dishes. No answer. I asked again but realized she was now texting or playing on her phone. So I asked if I was disturbing her. She looked embarrassed and quickly put her phone away as if I hadn't seen it. When I came back from the car to tell her which flavor my wife had picked, she said that wasn't available for wings. I repeated that she had told me to order from the first 2 columns but apparently she meant the first columns closest to her, not the actual first columns. So I ran back to my car again. So I was finally able to order wings on my 3rd trip in the store. I asked if she could please make them not too spicy, but she said the flavor or marinade was pre-made. Then she started speaking Spanish to the guy preparing the food. Swung by on a weekday afternoon and was not busy at all. This plaza can get a little hectic when it's busy but we were lucky to not have to deal with that. The store itself is pretty small but there's three tables inside if you want to eat there. Inside was clean. I got the half chicken spicy galbi which came out to around $17. I had to wait about 15 minutes but was willing to wait for a fresh batch. The chicken was moist and the skin was perfectly hot and crispy. It could have been a little more spicy in my opinion but the flavor was there. Decent portion for the price. Staff there is nice and while there's no restroom there is a sink for you to wash your hands after because they are almost certainly going to messy after you eat. Seeing the small interior of the restaurant from previous reviews, I was concerned that I would have to order takeout or eat outside but was surprised to find all tables empty on a Saturday evening. It's important to note that they only have a sink to wash hands in the corner. I saw four flavors that were advertised on the wall upon entry and decided to order those, the flavors being Golden Original, Honey Garlic, Soy Garlic, and Secret Sauce. I also added on the Kimchi Fried Rice because why not? I had minimal interaction with our server, but she was nice and professional. Given that I ordered 32 pieces, I was not surprised to have waited longer than I usually do. When the food arrived, the chicken looked exactly like it was pictured on the posters. The crunch to each chicken was perfect and I got the Korean Fried Chicken fix I wanted this entire week. The Secret Sauce dish got cold after about 10-15 minutes, and I figured it was a sign for me to end up making everything else to go. If you have to order only one thing from the menu, get the Soy Garlic! I've had Korean Fried Chicken in other restaurants and this one stays unbeatable. After that comes the Honey Garlic which you also can't go wrong with, the Secret Sauce was advertised as having a little bit of spice but I didn't feel a kick, and the Golden Original tasted like any other fried chicken dish I've had. This was my first time coming to this location. I ordered online for pick up, which I suggest you do since it will take 15-25 mins. I ordered the small boneless wings in secret sauce and rose tteokbokki with cheese. Both were consistent with the location I've been to in NorCal (Cupertino). Secret sauce was sweet, tangy with a slight kick. Chicken was well cooked and it was well breaded. The rose tteokbokki was also very good! Rice cakes and fish cakes had great texture to them, well cooked. Good cheese pull too! The one star down was for the daikon. When I took a bite of one, it tasted so off and realized after the fact that it also smelled off. I ate my meal back at home so I couldn't mention it to the staff right then and there.
