There are plenty of parking spaces. We ordered the Peli Ball Combo and Fried Wings/Boneless with Honey Soy, Garlic, and Signature Sauces. Everything was really good and all the sauces were delicious. I liked that the sauces were mixed in with the wings instead of dipping. The Peli Ball were good too with some flavor inside each ball. Overall, delicious food! Service: 5/5 Tip(s): - They provide gloves for you to use - Plenty of parking spaces - Restrooms available

9 Crispy Fried Wings 9 Pcs with Sauce (Honey Soy)

I got the crispy bone-in wings 9 piece, honey soy. Good crunch, good flavor, and it even came with some delicious radishes. At $19.40 after tax, it's around the same ballpark as BBQ Chicken, I guess that's the price for delicious fried chicken! It took 15 minutes without a line. Solid food.

Solid korean fried chicken place with multiple sauce options and many korean tapas/appetizers! If you are looking for a chill korean fried chicken place, Pelicana did not disappoint! Our waiter took our order and brought out the food relatively fast! We waited at most 10 minutes which was nice! They have alot of beer and drink options. As for the food, we ordered a few of the tapas and the fried chicken. I personally got the double fried cheese topping and it was pretty tasty! They use a white parmesan cheese powder that had good flavor and they didn't overly coat the chicken as well! As for the sided i really enjoyed the tteokkbokki and the cheese balls! The place can get a bit noisy sometimes but it is very lively and fun. I'll for sure be back for another visit!

Takeout order: The chicken here is so good! Always gets to you hot the crispy. We tried the chicken with honey soy sauce and parmesan. Chicken with Honey Soy Sauce- I cannot praise the crispness enough. Meat is juicy and sauce is a good mixture of sweet and tangy. Parmesan- The generous dusting of parmesan cheese gave it a layer of rich flavor. This one disappeared quickly!

A nice Korean fried chicken spot with a lively interior. Clean and well kept with pocha/bar-like vibes. We ordered korean fried chicken with 2 sauces on the side. The chicken wings were super crispy, hot and juicy, but a little on the smaller side. - sweet soy: 8.5/10. You always have to get the sweet soy from all Korean fried chicken places. This flavor never misses! - spicy hot: 9/10. Sweet and spicy! To my surprise this sauce was actually quite spicy which I loved. I dipped the chicken wing in both sauces, making the best flavor if you can handle your spice. - pelicana fries: 6.5/10. A sweet and cheesy powder/dusted fries. The fries were good, but not a big fan of cheese so just not for me.

Craving Korean Fried Chicken and saw that a Pelicana location was nearby! The restaurant was quite empty around lunch time but there was relatively loud kpop music to keep the vibe in the restaurant upbeat! Our waitress took our order and we got our food within 20 minutes. The salad and cheese balls came out relatively quick and definitely served well as appetizers. Only real problem was the bugs, man there were a lot of flies and gnats flying around that kind of interrupted our dining experience. When the wings came around, one of the bugs even had the audacity to land in the honey soy sauce wings! Bugs aside, the chicken was super crispy and tasty, the kind of taste I was craving so it gets a pass. All in all, the food was great but the experience I had trying to eat the chicken without getting in extra unwanted protein was a bit rough. I'll stick to my local pelicana unless I happen to be back in the area again.

Crunchy Korean fried chicken! Fried chicken is undefeated. Pelicana is great, it always hits the spot! My favorite sauces are Garlic and Cheese! I was in and out super quick! Nice vibes inside!

Good service and food crunchy food. I enjoyed the food a lot. It was very crunchy. I was a bit confused when ordering and I learned that I prefer the wings instead of the other chicken parts. Half original 9/10 and other half was honey soy! 7.8/10 Shaken fries are a must! 10/10 Three ball combos, I wanted to try these, I really liked the cheese ball 10/10. Chocolate 7/10 pretty good. Carmel 4/10 it was okay. Corn cheese 8.5/10! Good with the chicken Complimentary cabbage 10/10! Thank you

I've ordered food from this location a few times and the food and service has always been great! To my surprise, when I got my order, I found something in my chicken. I was peeling the chicken with my fingers and saw a long piece of plastic sticking out of it. As I kept on peeling pieces away, I found another. I didn't give a one star because the food itself is still good. Just be careful when eating and I hope the people that make the food will be more attentive.

Peli Cheese Ball Mochi cheese balls. A little sweet for my liking

Updating my review: Service significantly worse! We went to eat in to have fresh fried chicken. The place was fairly empty (one other group) but they were pretty slow. We had to ask for water a few times, ask for napkins a few times , ask for straws a few times. They also place the hot food right in front of our 1 year old instead of anywhere else on the table. Overall lack of awareness. Chicken still amazing! Probably why everyone just gets it to go.

Service is prompt and convenient. We've been to several locations in OC and in SK. All fried chicken options are tasty. Corn dish does vary but is really good here. Irvine locations is nice and quiet in small business center.

It's only been a few years since I was introduced to K-fried Chicken, and it has been quite a yummy experience so far as I've tried most of the popular places in town. Pelicana is relatively new here, but I'm told that it's been around in Korea for many years now, so, I had very high expectations for its quality. Unfortuantely, I was somewhat let down by this first time visit. This is a small'ish fried chicken joint designed like a casual sports bar, wall mounted TVs, colorful bar, and lound music blasting overhead. I guess it's more than just a take out place, and can be a pretty fun place to hang out with friends for a drink and some comefort K-food. We ordered a half order of the Crispy Fried Boneless Chicken and an order of the whole Original Fried Chicken....with their Signature sauce on the side. We typically don't like our chicken tossed and drenched in sauce and prefer to order it naked and be able to dip our chicken in the sauce as and how we like. We actually thought the boneless chicken was actually very good.....big pieces, tender and juicy, and very yummy with some sauce......and not oily. As for the whole original fried chicken, I liked the crispiness of the coating, but every single piece was just drenched in oil with the whole paper lining of the serving pan like a swimming pool of oil! They could very well have let the oil drain a bit before serving it. Other than that, the chicken meat was pretty nice, tender, juicy, and was quite yummy with the signature sauce. I had really wanted to give a better rating to this place, but the music blasting overhead was way too loud! We had asked the manager to please turn it down a bit since the place was empty, but I was told she was a bit reluctant to do so, and had even given an annoyed look. Unfortunately, I guess it was still a bit early and regular staff had not started their shift yet, so the manager had to attend to us. However, all she ever did was take our order and brought out the food.....never once did she come check on us, asked if we needed anything, or how the food was, etc. Even when we were done eating and were ready to pay the check, we had to walk up to the back area to ask for our check. Bad, bad, bad service, with a bit of an attitude, by the manager. However, the young girl who took over from the manager as we were finishing was much nicer...very nice, friendly, and helpful. Verdict?.....There are many much better quality K-fried Chicken places with much better service in the area.....so we certainly won't be coming back here again.

Ordered take-out - Crispy Fried Wings 9pcs/sauce on the side with french fries. Highly recommend eating ASAP because they got a little soft by the time I made it home. I ordered for sauces on the side so I can use it as dipping. Also comes with sides of radish. Wings were good but I did not get the freshness like some other places. Crispy outside and soft inside. Finish the first day or they do not taste good as left-over the next day. Sauce packages had generous amount for dipping on the side. French fries were ok. Staff was friendly when I arrived to pick up my order. Inside seemed organized and clean with menu posted on the outside. There are plenty of parking in the front since it is inside a large shopping area.

You know... the actual BBQ staples people come here for. If you can't serve your headline dishes, maybe don't pretend you're a BBQ restaurant. Then the service: our drinks came out in random batches, so we couldn't even do a simple cheers together. Basic stuff, botched. And the cherry on top: we tried to order a grilled cheese and were told they ran out of bread (how?) and that they'd send Texas toast instead. Fine. Except then we're told the kitchen refused to make it. Not "we can't," not "it'll be a wait," but refused. So you're out of bread, out of major entrees, and the kitchen just decides it won't make a simple menu item? That's not a restaurant -- that's dysfunction. This place felt disorganized, unprepared, and honestly kind of careless. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Save your money and your time.

I wanted to share some comprehensive feedback regarding a recent experience, aiming to highlight both your successes and areas where further refinement could elevate the customer journey even further. First and foremost, I must commend your team for their exceptional warmth and hospitality. From my initial phone call to the moment I picked up my order, I felt genuinely welcomed and valued. This level of customer service, which often feels lacking in many establishments today, truly sets American Grub apart. It creates a welcoming atmosphere that significantly enhances the overall experience, and I sincerely hope this commitment to friendliness remains a cornerstone of your operation. However, I encountered a couple of points that, in my personal opinion, warrant consideration for improvement. Regarding the payment process, I felt a degree of apprehension about providing my credit card details over the phone. While I understand the operational need to secure orders and prevent potential losses, particularly for larger transactions, for a single item like my bacon cheeseburger, priced at $17.24 including tax, this practice felt somewhat disproportionate. I also noted the 99-cent fee for online payments, which, while minor, might deter some customers who are seeking convenience without additional charges. Perhaps exploring alternative secure payment links for phone orders or adjusting the fee structure for smaller transactions could enhance customer comfort and streamline the process. My primary concern, however, arose upon returning home. Despite ordering a bacon cheeseburger, I discovered the burger completely lacked bacon, as well as any form of sauce or mayonnaise. This oversight had a significant impact on the meal; the absence of these core components rendered the burger quite bland and far from the experience I had anticipated. When ordering a single item, the expectation for meticulous attention to detail is particularly high, as there are fewer variables. Consequently, the overall value of the meal, given the missing ingredients, was not quite met on this occasion. I did reach out to the owner privately via email to discuss these points, and I appreciate their responsiveness and transparency in addressing my feedback, particularly concerning the rationale behind the phone payment policy. It is reassuring to know that your business is open to customer input. My hope is that these observations can serve as constructive input, allowing American Grub to continue refining its excellent service and product quality. I remain a supporter of your local endeavor and look forward to seeing these aspects addressed. Thank you for reaching out. Every word and insight you read is authentically mine, driven by my commitment to provide honest feedback.
