I used clutter moving. The movers arrived on time, but had parking issues with our apartment management and we wished this process was smooth. However things got resolved quickly. Also they are a bit expensive for the supplies they offer- $99 jus for pieces of cardboard and bubble wrap. read more

I had a really awesome first experience with Clutter! Clutter is SUPER convenient as they pick-up, store (in a safe, unknown address so fools don't steal your sh*t), and drop-off at your final destination when needed. They even have a super handy dandy tracking system of each truck to let you know what job # the movers are on and where you fall on the list. So, even though my window was from 7am-10am, I was able to hit the snooze button a couple of times with the up-to-date tracking ;) I also want to give a big s/o to my customer service rep, Randy, who knowledgeably answered all of my million questions to put my mind at ease during a stressful moving time. Reginald and Hirschel (my movers) were also great as they were professional, efficient, and funny! Thank you all for making my Clutter experience so seamless! read more

Just when I think I've worked with the best crew from Clutter, here comes David's crew knocking it out of the park. And here's why...first, they were really easy going, which I needed because I ended up needing to have some large items boxed, but needed to get better organized first. So while the crew got going on the items that were ready, I got organized and then by the time I was ready two of the guys had already started helping me pack everything and were wrapping up several furniture items and framed art pieces. In addition, the crew leader helped me make sure I had my inventory system tagged on the newly packed boxes before he photographed and tagged it with the bar code label. It may seem small, but a lot of people have trouble communicating so clearly with a customer. Even when they mean well. In regards to the Clutter service in general...it is genius. My family has had almost every scenario you can think of that leads to having way too much crap sitting around. Back to back moves, graduate school, injury/hospitalization, new baby, parents passing, etc, etc has resulted in a big mess. Now that we can finally breathe and focus on our home life, we wanted a way to get "stuff" out of the way while we fix up our home and do some remodeling, without needing to make decisions about what to keep, donate, sell, etc. With everything inventoried and the option to have Clutter bring back any item at anytime, we can improve the feel and functionality of our space and eliminate extra belongings stress and argument free! Also, as we reduce our stored items, we'll also automatically be lowering the cost of our storage space which is a huge incentive to get the decision making it done! read more

NEVER CONSIDER HIRING THIS COMPANY. I called more than a week in advance, hired a service that would come with the boxes, help me pack a part of my stuff and move me by the noon on Saturday. Movers should've arrived by 9 am this morning and I wake up to a message : "Hello , We were unable to complete today's move because of unforeseen staffing issues. We are available to reschedule your appointment for another day and time. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us.". WHAT? Really? How can you cancel at the moving day? After waiting on a phone for 30 minutes ( office "opens" at 7 am on Saturdays... right...) they couldn't help me, they just said they can't complete my request. This company is the most unprofessional moving company you can hire! Hire people that won't put you in such a stres It's not the end guys! This company really worth all my time spent writing this review. Want to know what happened next and what possibly can happen to you as a "valued customer"?! Let me share this with you. Today I found a charge of $100 from Clutter, I immediately called them and asks why did I get charged. Sweet rep told me, that this is THE POLICY OF THEIR COMPANY. Wait a minute! I was told before that if I CANCEL IN LESS THAN 24 hours, I'll be charged $100. Guess what guys, IF THEY CANCEL, THEY ALSO CHARGE YOU $100. Instead of apologizing and offering me a credit, they charge me $100 and have NO INTENTION TO REFUND IT. Have you ever heard about something like that?! My bank is already taking care of this scam, but it truly was the worse customer service experience I've ever experienced in my life! Shame on you Clutter! read more

Clutter - Self Storage Near Me

I absolutely would not recommend: I stored with Clutter for a few months recently as I was moving from the Bay Area across the country. We originally stored with another company, which was bought out by Clutter. The main reason we stored was because of a new Avocado Green mattress we had purchased a couple months before we decided to move: we had a few other things, worth maybe a few thousand altogether, but the mattress (which we loved) cost $1900. So, worth it, or so we thought: when we got back to Cali to pick up our things, we found everything we had stored, wrapped and in good repair. except for the mattress, which had most of the plastic covering torn off (the residual plastic-covering only a foot or so of the bottom edge-was yellow and filthy. And the mattress had dirty drag marks all over the front AND back. Also, there were large, gross, yellow stains on the front (you know, the part you actually SLEEP on) that looked as though something had dropped/leaked on it. I asked the disinterested young man working there what happened. He said that Clutter had bought out another company and they hadn't taken good care of things, and it had probably been dragged across the warehouse. iI talked to the manager up front about it and they concurred that Clutter was now responsible and would take care of it. He took pictures and I took pictures. He gave me contact info for reporting and we did it immediately, forwarding photos as well and the link for the mattress on Avocado Green's website. About a week later we got an email stating that Clutter would reimburse us $100-the cost of renting one of those nasty ass cleaning machines at Walmart. Except that Avocado Green does NOT recommend these machines and the chemicals they use. The email stated that this was the only offer they would make and, basically, the claim was closed. Now I have a disgusting $1900 mattress that I can not only not use, but also cannot sale. DO NOT USE CLUTTER read more

Rates gone up 87.5% out of nowhere. Clutter's customer support told me they have liberty to change rates at anytime without any given advanced notice. When inquired about their policy rate under bullet 3.D. Where "ANY price change" would only become effective on the following billing cycle after the 30-day advanced notice, their response did not acknowledge that part of the policy. Be aware before you are in, or you will experience extremely high rates against your local storage competitors for a much lower quality of service. The cherry on top, they will not commit to a time slot for scheduled appointments. They will give you a 7 hours window time to show up. 7 hours if you pay for the extra fee (no surprise) for the reservation. Otherwise, they will give you a span of a few days to show up. read more

The moving experience was perfect from beginning to finish. I used Clutter - San Francisco to help move my stuff from one place to another. Although, I might be using Clutter as it was intended... moving from point A to point B in a single day. You are forced to leave at least one belonging with them for at least a month or else you would be charged $700 for closing your account too early. I had a great experience with my movers that picked up and dropped off my belongings. I was EXTREMELY paranoid because I was reading other Yelp reviews; where they mentioned that some of their belongings went missing, so I counted multiple times to make sure all my belongings came back in one piece. All in all, everything was a OKAY, nothing was missing. :) They also gave me a $100 amazon gift card because it was a promotional period, which was a great surprise for me. :D Thank you Clutter! read more

I had the best experience today with Clutter. The guys were professional, worked fast and took care of us during our move. They cracked jokes and laughed to make the work go by. I was amazed at how easy it was to book the service online and how great the entire experience was with Clutter. While I was impressed with the digital pre move process, I was nervous about the actual move. Randal E. arrived right on time and was such a pro! He had everything prepared and knew exactly what to do. We were able to move from my Oakland studio to SF in 3 hours total. The Clutter.com moving team I referred to all day as the "A" Team! A-team: lead by Marcus Team: Jason, Atari, Javante Their boss Ryan came by to make sure I had a good experience which was very much appreciated. Supervisor, Shamrock came by to check on moving large items and brought the team drinks/snacks as it was a 100 degree day. Nice to see the team looked after even though I had a huge cooler, snacks, lunch, dessert for them as well. The thing I appreciated the most about the team, is they not only did they work at top speed with tenacity all day to ensure a 1 day vs 2 day move, but they smiled, laughed and joked with each other the entire day in the true spirit as a team. You could tell they really enjoyed their job and did everything they could to make sure I had a great experience too. I would absolutely request this same team in the future! read more

Jessica, Jeronimo and Jose T are my Clutter Dream Team! As a single mom I am asking myself, where have they been all my life? Thanks to my daughter she told me all about clutter, I called and they came within 3 days of my request as I wanted! What I got when they arrived, was the most personable and professional team! They will be my go to for life! I feel so blessed to have had them come to my home after we suffered a fire and had hundreds of boxes to go through and they took 166 boxes plus furniture and made it all go away with care and true customer service. I felt completely safe and trusted them immediately with everything I had and in my home. My team deserves 10 stars as they were awesome sauce with epic sprinkles! One of the most seamless moving/storage experiences I've had (worth the price premium in my opinion). I was moving between two apartments in SF and had a three-week period when I needed my furniture stored. Clutter was flexible with my schedule and was one of the only companies I found that allowed for monthly storage (most other services required a 3-month minimum). The movers (Deonte and Marquis) were efficient and very friendly and offered to help me unpack any of the larger items that would've been troublesome for me to do myself. Very happy with my experience! read more

What started as a good relationship went sour. It was incredibly difficult to coordinate with Clutter to retrieve all our belongings... conditions and terms changed since we booked the order which made everything much harder and more expensive. On top of that, they packed many things poorly, some things broke, and Clutter refused to reimburse us. This includes something incredibly important to me made by my best friend who has since passed away, no joke. I would not recommend working with them!! read more

Good: - On time. - Movers are friendly. Bad: - A lot of fees. - Phone support can be better. Suggestions for people considering using Clutter: - Read the contract completely. - Cancelation: 3-hour labor charge minimum. $65 dollars per hour, per mover. No discretion of how many movers come out. Equates to a minimum of $195. - Before starting Clutter, ask them to explain all fees. Start up, Monthly, Cancelation, etc. everything. - They work in gray areas, and will never promise anything over the phone. - No pro-rated monthly dues. - They need 48 hours notice to drop off items and cancel your account. They will stick to that policy regardless of whatever was suggested over the phone. If you set your return for a date after your monthly due date, they might charge you. If they don't have availability you should get a definite "Yes, you won't be charged" read more

Overall, I feel like my experience could have been better. They are careful about how they word their services and charges. I opted in for moving and storage. Upon return, 6 of my items were broken or damaged. They make you pay for insurance to cover damaged items and then they don't even pay you out enough to replace them! Some of the movers work fast and are good, and some of them are so slow! Beware of the hourly charges if you get slow workers. Even when you ask them to work faster (reasonable pace), they seem to outright ignore you. They were good about some stuff with customer service, but in the end, I would NOT use them again. Go with another company like Omni or BoomBox Storage. read more
