The office staff is so helpful! We moved out of San Francisco during the great COVID migration. We stored our stuff in a shipping container and left for months. We are so happy to come back and find our stuff safe and sound. We also had movers come and pick up our stuff, which the front desk came to rescue when we had the wrong key for one of our locks (we were neurotic with multiple locks). This place is very professional and well-maintained. The staff are courteous and respond quickly to questions. The locks are modern and the gate combinations are changed regularly, which made the place very secure. My storage unit stays completely dry and is built like a safe! Very strong doors. There are a few interesting people working on fun projects in the facility, so there are always helpful hands and eyes. Parking is easy. And there are kitties prowling, so no rodents. I usually don't write reviews, but this place deserves some praise. Rochelle that runs the place is nice, professional and to the point. I arrived late in the evening for the 1st time, I got in the gate with my code, but didn't know where to park. there is an after hrs # to call and although no one answered, I left a message and she called me RIGHT back. found my parking spot then no problem. the lots are well lighted, fully enclosed by high barbed wire fencing. Lots of newer vehicles in lot like Mercedes, teslas, lots of new city trucks parked there too. Do yourself a favor and buy your vehicle some piece of mind while you travel. the #25 bus from SF drops you off practically at their front gate, no Uber needed. be sure to Google maps the address 1st time going as Treasure Island has lot of construction, road reroutes going on. this place is my go to savior from car theft in the surrounding areas. There are other lots on the Island with similar names so be sure you know where you're going. read more

Needing to move my motor home to a new storage lot, I searched around and found City View Storage. It is a clean and secure spot and at a reasonable price. The front gate has a code, so availability is 24/7. There are cameras mounted throughout the facility, so I feel confident to leave my solar panel out, keeping the batteries charged. My burner RV lives at City View, and it's the best storage option I've found so far near San Francisco. The access hours are quite accommodating, so it's easy for me to visit after work if needed. Tony always answers if I need to call about anything, and he takes care of things right away. On a good day, I can get to the lot from home in just 20 minutes. And I feel totally safe working on the RV in the lot, even at night. Occasionally I run into other tenants working on projects, and they're always friendly. Often I walk over to Mersea or Aracely for a meal; they're both delightful and never crowded. I'm really happy I found this place :-) read more

This place is terrific! I have been a client of City View Storage for many years. My nonprofit business has used City View Storage for vehicle storage, shipping container storage, and currently we have a large indoor storage space and store a vehicle there. The location is great especially if you live or work in San Francisco. The storage yard is safe and secure with lots of camera. Tony, the longtime manager, is kind, friendly, and professional. I put a one bedroom apartment worth of stuff in one of their units for about 6 months while I left the city to travel. A tad unorganized (I'll let that slide due to COVID) but very nice and helpful staff. Came and opened the place on a weekend for me and waited an extra hour when my movers took longer than I thought. That said, I'm writing this review to warn potential customers about the major issue we had. We are not from the Bay Area originally so maybe this was just pure ignorance, but we were not aware of how much the moisture would affect our things. I assumed that the unit would be essentially sealed off from the elements but I was wrong. Many of our boxes had collapsed, many items were covered in mold to the point that they needed to be discarded, and even the items that didn't needed to be thoroughly washed to be rid of the damp smell. A couple stainless steel items rusted over as well. If you plan to store personal items here beware of this and make sure anything you put in the units is 100 percent sealed air tight. Our movers who moved the stuff out of the unit were not surprised that this was the case and said they've seen it before so I'm not sure why management would not warn their customers. read more

I was looking for a place to store my motorcycle and I thought this place would be perfect. These guys purposely make themselves un available to outsiders. You cant reach them by phone or e-mail and they never return your messages. I took a trip to the actual place on treasure island, and it was nothing but a homeless camp with no management, just two people there ("customers") who avoided telling me how to get a hold of management, while they finished cooking their food. (I think they live there) some one needs to report these people. read more

Starts with a good manager and Tony is the best. Ends with a secure space for the things you can't fit at home. What's in between is the piece of mind and reasonable pricing. Highly recommend this place and we speak from experience, having tried the other two storage facilities on TI. read more
