For the longest time savoy kitchen has been known for hainan chicken in the 626, BUT Cluck2Go is a solid contender! The prices are quite affordable ($12.99) for a good serving of meat, rice, & soup. Personally the green sauce is my favorite! Do not that there is only one table inside to "dine in", but they are really a to-go type of restaurant serving everything in takeout boxes. read more

Hurray! Very happy to have Cluck2Go here in Arcadia! We used to go to the Pasadena pre-Covid, but didn't like the parking situation there. Much more convenient now! This one is smaller though, more a takeout location, which seems to work fine, judging by the crowd behind me, lol! Ordered their Combo A, which was a better value since I was going to add sides like the cucumber salad etc. Super glad I did because I also got to taste their peanuts, and that was superb!! Well flavored, and whatever they did to it, it was crunchy and tasty! The cucumber salad was pretty yummy too, though I thought the portion seemed small. Of course the most important part is the chicken and the rice. Personally, the rice flavor was good but the texture wasn't quite right...too dry and hard for my taste, think it should be a bit more moist. It shouldn't be so brown either...Might have just been the batch I got. As for the chicken, great flavor too, and quite fresh I might add! I had the dark meat, and it was boneless and fairly soft and moist. It's still not the same as in Singapore though but it will do, since I'm not sure when we can travel back there! I don't think it's practical to have chicken that's fresh versus frozen in the US. I think that's the difference in Singapore, the turnover rate is high enough they use fresh chicken. So for that, chicken still did pretty well for my taste! They also made up for it with their yummy sauces...the "red" sauce is essentially chili, had a good flavor! The "green sauce" is essentially the ginger sauce. We didn't get the dark sweet sauce, which is what's often found in Singapore. I'll have to remember to get some next time! Overall a positive experience, am so glad it's close by now, and am looking forward to going through their entire menu!!! p.s. for those of you who are Singaporeans, look carefully at the picture on the wall - you'll recognize it as a local hawker center in Singapore! Nostalgia anyone? :) read more

Very reliable option for meals the kids will enjoy. Consistent quality, never had a huge surprise. The rice is flavored with broth so its a generally easy win. Uncomplicated menu since there are not a huge number of options. The Hainan chicken is very flavorful. Staff have always been fine, they speak a little too fast sometimes, particularly on the phone. Though never had anyone with rude or inappropriate behavior read more

Fast easy to order and convenient and delicious! I see a lot of people ubereats it or order to go and it was absolutely delicious! Chicken was tender and warm! read more

February 2022 - Takeout order. We called in ahead of time, so wait wasn't bad! Our family usually goes to the Pasadena location but was excited to hear another location was opening up closer to home! Food/Pricing: - Fried Hainan Chicken Rice - $12.25 - Crispy and good! - Combo A which includes half chicken, spicy cucumber salad, fried peanuts, chicken soup (medium), chicken rice (2) - $25.45 - Not bad for the price. However, as someone who looks forward to the numbing spicy of the cucumber salad, it just tasted like cucumber soaked in water . Overall, the chicken was good but not as tasty as Pasadena. As this location is much closer, we will definitely give it another try in a few months! read more

Got some togo last week and was surprised to find that the chicken rice portion became so small, unlike before. Must be economy is bad!!!!

Juiciest chicken and friendly staff. If u come here and get 1 order the portions are huge for the boiled chicken and will make u full. The rice is flavorful and cooked in the chicken broth. read more

I feel like this could be a go to spot for someone like me who is a huge fan of hainan chicken, but I would think there would be an option for better quality chicken number one and if you're going to base your concept off of this dish, you should learn how to properly cook rice and Send it with perfect sauces, warmed steamy, greasy chicken broth, rice you most likely have never been to Thailand or Vietnam or whatever this concept came from but as a Thai national this is far from Par read more

love love this place. Way better than Savoy (sorry to say that). generous portion and they dont charge for extra ginger

Please package your soup better. Literally every time I order from this location, by the time I get home, all the soup is in the bag. Either your staff aren't paying attention to how they stack the soup in the containers or you guys need to stop using those soup containers. read more

We were really craving Hainan Chicken and didn't want to make the trek all the way to Savoy. We got the Whole Chicken and it came out to $57. The price is double what I would have expected to pay for a whole chicken but I figured why not, let's try somewhere new. When I first arrived to pick up my order, the cashier is straight up rude. After asking for my order, she doesn't make eye contact, and just flung the bagged order across the counter, then promptly returned back to her phone. Not a word. The rice was pretty flavorful and the chicken is cooked well. The food is overall good, however I don't feel like the sky-rocket price is worth what it is. Also dealing with the rude staff. The food comes with a free red and green sauce but no soy sauce, which is extra. read more

Ordered a family meal for my husband and I as a clean meal for dinner. Located in the small plaza next to Carl's Jr, there's a small parking lot in front of the restaurant (be careful parking spots are a bit tight). I ordered online and my order was ready for pick up when I got there. Service was good, easy in and out. Probably best to get to go or only go with 1-2 friends, small interior on this restaurant. Food: the chicken was moist and delicious. Portions are bigger here than at Savoy. Sides were a nice compliment, I liked the peanuts and the cucumbers and the broth was nice. Overall good value for the food, definitely come back again! read more

Used to be an easy staple with their affordable family meal but wow are they absolutely stingy. They've lost my business 100%. Every time I've come and ask for an extra sauce they'll give me one then say it's extra for more. They don't even include the dark soy sauce as standard so if you want a dark soy sauce that's all you're gonna get. So bizarre when Savoy will literally give you heaping spoonfuls of sauce whenever you're there. The worst part is that the last time I was there they gave us boiled chicken without the skin. When we called to ask if they could make things right for us as paying customers they brushed us off and laughed at us. Very offputting service all around. It's a shame because this was a monthly stop for us for a quick and easy dinner but whoever runs this store would rather save pennies than earn hundreds. read more

The standard for Hainan chicken rice for sgv. It's as close to the hawker Singaporean Hainan chicken as you can get. Quick service and clean - not more you can ask for. Good sauce and pickled items Also their honey chicken wings are pretty good too High recommended read more

Food here is when I feel eating healthy food. Service is always fast, very straightforward and just a snap of a finger. Ambiance is mid but small easygoing not too big not too small just right. I would say this is more of a to go restaurant than a seat in or dine in restaurants.. I love the hainanese chicken dark meat! Love how it always comes with free soup! (+) Hainan chicken dark meat Cluck2Go is a restaurant/take out business that specializes in Hainan Chicken. What I enjoyed most about my chicken is the portions and ginger sauce. For $11.99, you're getting like a half pound of tender chicken, a side of rice and sauces. It's awesome! The rice is also tasty and it looks like brown rice, so it has a bite or hardness to it. It is seasoned well. My favorite sauce is the ginger sauce. It is blended smoothly, so the consistency is fine and great with the chicken. Next time, I will have to order another ginger sauce. The side of chicken broth is also tasty and great for drinking, or dipping your chicken into. There is a parking lot that is easy to access and park. The service was good, but its only a take out place. There are no tables to sit at. read more

Cluck2Go is another new Hainan Chicken spot opening up in 626. Ordered to go. Food took longer then quoted. Hainan Chicken - $11.99 - Chicken was cooked well, good portion. Rice had decent chicken broth flavor. Fried Hainan Chicken - $12.99 - Fried was a different alternative. It was fried nicely, chicken was not dry as expected. Their sauces were different. Thicker then usually, instead of a chili sauce, it was sweet. read more

There are several Cluck2go! We went to the one in Arcadia. It's a very small location which only have two dine in tables. Most customers get the Hai Nan chicken Togo. We ordered the combo b the whole chicken and pick the mixed meat option (dark and white meat). Every time we go, Hai Nan chicken is on point. Very very tender and juicy chicken. I think it's better than Savoy in Alhambra in my opinion. But of course Savoy has more selections. read more

First time trying this place was when i ordered on uber eats but have never been there in person. I've always wanted to try this place out and ended up ordering 2 of the Hainan chicken thru Uber Eats. The chicken was very moist and went very well with the rice it came with. This place also includes a chicken broth on the side. This is one of my new favorite place to get Hainan chicken at and definitely recommend it read more

First time at this location. This is a small little place located in a small plaza. Plenty of parking and staff are friendly. Came here to order a "whole chicken" which consists of two plates of Hainan Chicken, two bowls of rice, two chicken soups, and four sauces of each color. For around $34 this is a great meal. I went with dark meat, cuz it's where all the flavor is. It was extremely tender and tasty. The meats were juicy and when combined with the green sauce, it is simply exquisite. Will definitely order this again. read more

Came by to try out the new location as I was running errands in the area. It's in a pretty good spot with lots of other retail and a smallish shared parking lot. It's located in the plaza next to Carl's Jr. The famous Hainan Chicken plate comes with your choice of poached white or dark meat, chicken soup, 2 sauces and pickled veggies. The chicken is super moist & flavorful and has a great texture. I like getting the mixed chicken with half dark & half white meats for variety. The chicken soup is very clean and flavorful. Love the pickled veggies! The ginger chili is yum. I like the spicy! The ginger scallion was good too. Love the fried peanuts, there's something in there that is super addicting! Also have tried the fried version & still prefer the poached. Overall, I'd come back if I was specifically craving Hainan Chicken, but would go to others (Savoy) with more food & appetizer options. Recommended! read more

Great local hainan chicken. It's takeout only bc there's only one table instead. It's 15 min wait usually and the food is good. Get Dark Meat only hainan chicken rice plate $13 with tax. Cluck2Go is my go to Hainan chicken place here in SoCal. Their soup is rich in flavor and their dark meat is always tender... not to mention their sauces! Service is always quick and efficient. I usually take it to go but they do have 2 tables available for dine-in if that's what you prefer. The Arcadia location is located in a corner with a tiny parking lot, but I've never had trouble finding spots to park. The store is bright and well-lit, you won't have trouble finding it. read more

I like the original Hainan chicken here. Chicken was flavorful and tender. The sauces were good too it added additional flavor to the meat. The rice was good but wish it had a bit more flavor to it. Not really a big fan of the fried Hainan chicken. The breading was a bit too thick and over power the flavor of the chicken. Service is quick and they were nice. It's really an order to go place. But they do have two small tables set up you can eat there quickly and go. Over all it seems clean. read more

Best hainan chicken in La so far. I never really liked Savoy even when they were the only one in the 626 area. Didn't understand the hype but everyone else really liked it. We always frequented the Pasadena location and are so glad there's another location even closer to us! I wish they would bring back the noodle option though, I would order the chicken noodles every single time. Their fried buns are really good too. The place is takeout only. At least I didn't see any tables or chairs when I went last but that also could be the pandemic. They have a parking lot, a bit small though. read more

Cluck2Go - White meat. Delicious with sauce! - Hainan Near Me - Arcadia, California

Good news for the people who love Hainanese chicken and garlic rice, the famous Pasadena Cluck2go just opened a to go only branch in Arcadia on Duarte next to Carl's Junior. This location is for take out only. Unlike the Pasadena location, there is no dine-in here. The regular and fried versions of the Hainanese chickens are available here too. The service is much faster here. They even made up an ordering card to facilitate the process. Just follow the steps and place the order. The food is ready in a few minutes. The chicken is still tender and tasty. I love the garlic and ginger sauce. But they don't have the sweet soy to go with the garlic rice. I liked the traditional Hainanese chicken better than the fried one as the latter tends to be a bit dry. Prices are still very reasonable. Parking is limited but adequate for just to pick up a Togo order. read more

*** Hainan Chicken Rice *** Cluck2Go is closer!! YAY!!! This is my go to for hainan chicken. With the price of gas, we don't have to drive further anymore. Same amount of chicken, rice, and chicken broth. We've ordered several times already. The other benefit besides it being closer is that we don't have to deal with Colorado Blvd street parking like at the Pasadena location. Much easier parking here. Note to the manager: If people don't like it, don't feel the need to respond or comment. (Plenty more for the rest of us.) read more

We love hainan chicken a LOT. Their first restaurant is across from PCC and we like to go there all the time. I am so glad that they open one closer to me. This is a very small restaurant, definitely NOT for dine in. But perfect spot for take out. Across the street from 99 cents store in Arcadia. Small shop, and not a lot of parking. We love to order their combo, they said that combo A is good for 3 ppl. NO, it's perfect size for 2, not three. (Unlike you eat like a birdie). With the price of two entrees, you got the peanut and the cucumber salad. Both tastes very good, (esp the peanut) For younger generation that doesn't like the original hainan chicken, you can order the fried chicken as well, also came with the special rice. read more

Really moist and juicy hainanese chicken. We usually either get combo A or combo B, both of which are very good value for money. They also have really good sauces. The ginger sauce in particular is very flavorful and very tasty. The chicken soup they make is also really good. There isn't that much space in the location. It's more a takeaway kind of business, so I usually just take my food to go. However, once you make a takeaway, they make it pretty quickly. read more

Introduction: My best friend and I have been patrons at their original branch in Pasadena. When my best friend informs me there's a Cluck2Go branch in Arcadia, I immediately decide to pay it a visit. Food: Hainan chicken rice [dark meat]: The rice is fragrant and can stand on its own without the need of any sauce. One tastes the chicken oil and broth that were used to cook the rice. The chicken is moist and tender; the skin is silky smooth in texture. It goes great with the minced ginger green sauce. The good part about Cluck2Go is their chicken actually tastes like chicken. Some eateries like San Gabriel's Tasty Choice, their chicken for the Hainan Chicken noodle tastes as if all the flavors have been drained out of the chicken and the patron is stuck with chewing chunks of meat that is tough and bland. The chicken's skin, as mentioned, is silky smooth; it's a trait not to be taken for granted because I have been to restaurants where the skin on the chicken bears the texture of rubber in which no one derives any joy from eating it. The free soup that's included with the Hainan Chicken is a little too light for my taste personally. Hence what I usually do is pour in the excess chicken oil that's found underneath the chicken slices and I mix it with the broth to give it an overall flavor enhancement. To Cluck2Go's credit, I have to give this place props for treating their patrons accordingly because traditionally, Hainan Chicken rice is served with a side of soup. It's unfortunate many restaurants nowadays do not include the soup with their Hainan Chicken rice. By including the soup, Cluck2Go demonstrates they are abiding by tradition and they are treating their clients right. Drink: Wintermelon tea: The flavors are legitimate and on point. One tastes the wintermelon and the brown sugar with each sip. Dessert: Fried bun with condensed milk: The dough is of good quality: it is soft, moist, and al-dente chewy. However, for the price that's charged, I would not order it again because it's too expensive. I only ordered it because it brings back childhood memories. Ambiance: Small Mom and Pop shop, hole in the wall, casual Service: Adequate Price: Affordable and reasonable. read more

So happy that the new location is finally opened. Did phone orders for the combos twice and the food was super fresh and yummy. My family loved the tender Hainan dark meat chicken and also the chicken broth rice. I like how the restaurant did not charge extra for requesting the type of meats you want to order (white, dark, combo). The combo B was perfect for our family of 4. The sautéed green beans was very flavorful and delicious. They give you a generous amount of different sauces for the chicken. The cucumber salad Is refreshing and not spicy at all.
