Great flavor selections. I've tried many flavors I thought would be gross but tasted soooo yummy. Again, parking is iffy because large shopping and not enough Parking spaces. I love to sit outside on the benches/tables and enjoy a scoop in the spring/fall. My only concern is that the staff serving the ice cream don't change gloves if they are doing one thing outside of serving ice cream and then returning to serve ice cream. I literally saw a staff member (gloves on) on his cell phone behind the counter, then answer the store phone with the same gloves, and then come to serve me and my friends with those same gloves on. I asked if he could change to a new pair gloves before serving me, which I think he found annoying but he did it anyways. I assumed he was busy being the only person there and not paying attention, which is understandable. Because of this, I when back a few weeks later and saw something similar but I didn't ask the staff member to switch gloves. I just left. read more

I cannot believe it took me so long to find out that another Cloud 10 Creamery had opened - yay! (And so close to Local Foods - a great dinner + dessert combo.) I love Cloud 10 because: (1) It always offers several unique flavors, like goat cheese chocolate (delicious). When I buy ice cream, I want a flavor that I can't just pick up anywhere, and Cloud 10 is one of the few ice cream places that consistently delivers on this. The other one is Honest Lick Ice Cream, but sadly, those are only in San Antonio and Austin. (2) It rotates its flavors, as do many ice cream shops. This has been my daughter's favorite Ice Cream place in the Heights. I will no longer be supporting this business. They decided to start closing at 3:00pm which is one of the dumbest things I've seen because their main customers are kids and kids don't get out of school before 3:00. Not only that, the young girls working on MLK Day decided to close at 2:45 which is not 3:00. Then they started laughing at my daughter who was knocking on the door. She's 7! Honestly, this is one of my favorite stops for ice cream. They have unique and rotating favors, which never disappoint. Historically, I stick to the traditional ice cream flavors, but I have ventured out. At Cloud 10, my favorites are the Toasted Rice, Marzipan, Egg Custard, and Goat Cheese (yes, goat cheese). The owner(s) did a good job of integrating an old bungalow into a business. There is plenty of close-up parking and it's clean. The ice cream was delicious and the cone crispy and freshly made. Yes, it is kind of expensive, especially the take-out pints at $11. each. Now, I understand why the prices aren't on their web site, some people wouldn't venture here. The ice cream here is really great! Such unique flavors. But.... Only 3 stars because the employees are awful! So rude. If you're an ice cream person, make sure you give this place a try. Went this weekend and had the peanut butter & jelly flavor as well as the toasted rice. They have such unique flavor offerings (papaya custard, avocado with peach jam, mango & dried chilies) with a few more conservative ones (vanilla bean, dark chocolate) so that there is something for everyone. The ice cream is fantastic: not overly sweet, and a perfect creamy consistency that melts at a slow enough rate to allow you to savor your treat. Their space is neat - clean, sleek, and spacious. There is plenty of seating outside in both the front and the back, making the area great for families with a friendly neighborhood vibe. I see a few mentions of price - it is a bit expensive, but it seems pretty even with other gourmet ice cream shops in the area. I believe I have found my favorite ice creak shop in H town. The toasted rice ice cream and Nutella and marshmallow ice cream are my all time favorite. They also offer and update seasonal flavors from time to time. The only downside about this place is their long line in the weekend, as well as their not so great customer service, It was cold and rude sometimes.The staff here seem like they really dislike their job. It's our first visit and they give us a walk through of their homemade flavors. There are five regular flavors and they alternate the other ones. I chose Vietnamese coffee ice cream. It was fantastic. He selected mango chili one scoop, mango sorbet for the second scoop. Both of them are we're also good. The more dominant flavor out of three was Vietnamese ice cream. The second was the chili mango. You can also add toppings. They offer samples. The kid's size is called tiny which is one scoop. There is private parking with side street parking. Overall pretty decent ice cream. I was in search of a rocky road flavor but couldn't exactly find it, so I just mixed a bunch of the toppings along with their chocolate ice cream...and viola! Rocky Road ice cream. I knocked two stars from their review because of their integrity. I posted a picture of my experience at the location (in the heights) and later discovered that my picture was used on their IG without my permission or proper photo credits. I even opened with the first cheerful greeting! But no reciprocation. Best ice cream in town! This is the 2nd location of Cloud 10 and I was excited. They have about 10 more flavors available than the Rice Village location. The toasted rice and black beans are my favorites. But ask to try before you pick. They make their ice cream in-house and they do not disappoint. The place is very nice and clean. Indoor seatings is a little cramped. But they have many outdoor seatings with hanging lights. The lights are perfect for the vibe within the heart of The Heights area! read more

We took our son to the park and decided to check this place out. It was a Wednesday afternoon so not busy at all. They have a lot of unique flavors which I appreciated but the service is very lack luster. Not rude but absolutely no enthusiasm or any real interest in their job. I got the Nutella with marshmallows and marshmallows on top, my husband got the brown sugar with maple butterscotch. (Our son just shared from both of ours) the total was $9. It wasn't completely outrageous but I as really annoyed that marshmallows were a $1 and she literally stuck like 6 on my ice cream. I didn't realize this before I paid or I would have said forget it. My husband loved the brown sugar flavor and I agreed. But my Nutella didn't taste anything like Nutella. Just chocolate with marshmallows. It was still good, and I've had a cold for a week so that could have contributed to my taste. We ate outside where there was plenty of seating. The inside only has a few tables but it was very clean and nicely decorated. Overall I wasn't impressed with the service and the flavors were decent, but we live 2 minutes from Fat Cats and we would pick them over this place in a heartbeat. They are friendly with consistently great flavors. This place was only convenient because we were at the park but we still probably won't be back. read more

Cute quaint house shop setup in a nice part of Heights. There is patio seating. They have a fairly large selection of basic flavors but have unique ones as well. Got the smoky tea with roasted pears in a tiny scoop. Very smoky with hints of bacon. Didn't get the tea flavor but the perfect amount of sweet and not overpowering. Not creamy, there were ice crystals throughout the icecream. If they master the consistency and experiment more with flavors this place could be more. The location and set up of this place makes it seem like they should have higher quality icecream. read more

Visited the new store recently and loved the new location. There's plenty of picnic tables in the front, a pair of benches on the porch, and a few tables inside. There's currently plenty of parking on the side and behind the store as there are still some stores under construction nearby. I always get the rice (if available) since it's light and sweet. The watermelon and parsley sorbet was refreshing and fruity. It became more visually appealing once it had been scooped into a cup. Usually the descriptions at Cloud describe the intense flavors perfectly. If it's lemon sorbet, it will be a burst of lemon. It's nice to see the pints of ice cream and banana bars out in the front as you can see if your flavor is ready to buy. I was tempted to buy the rice since the Rice Village location rarely had it. The samples are sometimes too tiny to even get an idea of the flavor profile (a really thin shave of the papaya custard) and sometimes just enough (watermelon sorbet). The guy in front of me got puppy chow sprinkled on his cup, but i thought it was kind of strange for the girl to pour it all over the counter. It left a mess and another girl had to clean it up. Looking forward to trying the new creations on my next visit. read more

Came here at about 9:00- no crowd. The ice cream is good, exotic flavors, but really over priced!! For the amount of ice cream that you get and leaving with your wallet significantly more empty than when you came, it's slightly disappointing. Also, they don't give half scoops (which I guess is part of the fact that there scoops are so small, that they can't make it two scoops?) anyway, I told them that at any other ice cream place they would willingly do it for me, but he gave me the side eye. This is the second location of Cloud 10 and boy am I glad it's so close to me. It's located in a new development called, Heights Mercantile. I love that they essentially built an ice cream parlour out of a old bungalow. The outdoor patio is nice, with 4 large picnic tables with umbrellas. Inside the space looks clean and cozy but with very little seating. Love the clouds hanging from the ceiling. There's a good variety of flavors; (we got marzipan which tasted like sweet almond paste), Vietnamese coffee, maple butter with pumpkin spice, nutella w/ marshmallows. Pretty standard pricing for premium ice cream $4.50 for 2 decently sized scoops. Totally worth it for unique ice cream flavors. read more

This place was a mess. We first went to Fat Cat's, but the line was out the door. So we decided to try this new creamery that had opened. There were about 5 people in line, and 4 staff working. We waited for service for a while. All of the girls seemed unorganized and unenthusiastic to be there. Quite rude if I'm being honest. They were also out of a bunch of toppings and cones. We had sampled a few things and my boyfriend ended up getting the most overpriced $9 milkshake. I got a cup with two different flavors. We had paid for our ice cream before we got it, and then the girl simply forgot what we had ordered and moved on to the next customers. It also wasn't just us this happened to. The ice cream itself was still good. My advice: skip and go to Fat Cats. They love ice cream and it shows in there work and demeanor. read more
