Firstly, I'm huge on parking space was delighted to find this was in a shopping stripe with plenty of space for ample parking and large groups! There are plenty of other spots to eat out too! Two-part review: We visited the new Bellaire site last Saturday and ate on-site. The staff was super nice, helpful and eager to please. The ambiance was what you would expect for a neighborhood ice cream shop. We had the s'mores and peanut butter flavors. The ice cream texture was so creamy and smooth - tops! The flavors were excellent with the s'mores scoop consisting of a fabulous combination of marshmallow ice cream, teased with a chocolate swirl (could've used more, but still an acceptable amount) and topped off with the addtion of a the great texture and flavor of graham crackers. Well done. BUT, here's the rub... I went in yesterday and picked up a $12 pint of the s'mores flavor - SUPER DISAPPOINTING. They obviously overmixed it - the appearance was light grey / tan with no distinguishing of the three different flavors that made it an excellent choice in the store. It was a sandy mish-mash of the flavors with absolutely no sign of a swirl, no sign of a marshmallow ice cream, and an overwhelming sandy graham cracker texture and flavor with each spoonful. Wow, it did not reflect the flavor and texture of the ice cream we experienced in the store at all - very sad, especially with experiencing it on National Ice Cream Day. I couldn't help it, all four flavors I ordered were so delicious l couldn't stop...and I tell you what, I'd do it again! While I don't recommend eating yourself silly, I do recommend their ice cream. Really good ice cream. I was not expecting it to be this delicious. No wonder they have such good reviews on here. I sampled a few flavors and finally settled on the 2-scoop cup with banana pudding and just chocolate. They are a nice compliment to each other and when you get 2 scoops, it's a really good value. I also enjoyed their coffee ice cream and their peanut butter brownie one. One negative for me is they do not have a water machine or water pitcher available for customers to wash down your ice cream. Another negative is that they did not ask me if I wanted to add toppings. Came here after hanging out with some Yelp Friends at a Korean BBQ joint because we wanted some desserts and this place was close enough and we'd never tried it. When we arrived here, the place was empty. So we got full attention from both staff members who were working that night. And let me tell you, they were the nicest, sweetest staff member. Give these girls a raise!! There were several tables inside the shop but there were also some tables outside if you're wanting to chill (see what I did there?) in the hot, humid Houston weather for whatever reason.
