    Thee most perfect Guinness!
    Gladys A.

    It was my first time making a trip to Mammoth Lakes and my friend and I stumbled upon this pub gem! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We got there at about 6pm on a Saturday so it wasn't so busy yet (which I personally enjoy more), super cozy atmosphere, our bartender Possum (I hope I got that correct) was super welcoming and awesome[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and they had a nice selection of draft beers & spirits. I ordered my first ever Guinness (have tried it before but never actually ordered one, been heavy into Guinness series on Netflix so was excited about that) and it was thee most perfect Guinness! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I appreciate that they had touch tunes around the time we were there so was able to enjoy my dranks to some of my fav jams.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Eventually as the night progressed more people started arriving and it did get much livelier and packed so it'd be mindful of that depending on what kind of experience you're trying to have.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, I definitely look forward to visiting again in the future and recommend checking this sweet pub out :-)

    [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great ambience, I don't know what the other reviews we're talking about the bartenders were amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That said the website and Facebook are wrong, happy hour ends at 6 not 6:30 or 7. They were also out of the cider and Irish coffee. Good time overall though.

    Totchos with cheese on the side and extra jalapenos
    Kelly D.

    Updated take-out review. Food take-out took about 10 min to prepare. Not a surprise, but the Totchos were still a WINNER! If you're getting the Totchos to-go, get the cheese on the side and ask for extra crispy tots. Everything will stay crispier this way. I always ask for extra jalapenos as well. The jalapenos at Clocktower really pack a punch. Totchos have a nice crisp and are topped with bacon, sour cream, cheese sauce, and jalapenos. It's great finger food with a cold beer after a day in the mountains. I branched off from my usual tots and also tried the Mac and Cheese and Schnitzel Sandwich during my last trip to Mammoth. Mac and Cheese uses the same sauce as the totchos and was not worth getting. It was bland and not cheesy at all. Throwing some shredded cheese on top to give it that ooey gooey goodness and a tad more salt would have saved the dish. The Schnitzel Sandwich and fries were good and held up well as a take-out option. Sharing a Schnitzel Sandwich and Totchos is the way to go if you're feeling hungry.

    After a day of work, skiing, biking or hiking, this is where locals go to quench their thirst. Oh yeah, and Totchos (Tater Tot Nachos) .

    Highly recommended for the Apres scene. We came for the pub but stayed for the sous vide chicken bowls. Fresh approach towards food.

    My husband and I were staying above the pub in the Alpenhof Lodge, and one of the best parts of our stay was hanging out here.

This place will always be etched in my brain because my sister and I tried the dirty dancing move on the outdoor patio (after one too many drinks) and I got concussed by knocking my head on the patio wood post - great times and I didn't let it stop my night. Not so much a "dancing" vibe at this bar, but my friends and I get the dance floor going when we arrive. Every time I come to Mammoth I have to hit up this bar because it's so awesome - food and drinks are great, the staff are cool, and they have a good selection of mocktails for when you're trying to be on good behavior (;

What's not awesome: We visited at 8:30 p.m. on July 4th and the music was incredibly loud. It felt like they were going for more of a lounge or nightclub vibe, which made it way too hard to have a conversation. The service was also hit or miss. The man who took our order wasn't very friendly, although the woman with the gems on her face was fantastic--she was welcoming, efficient, and stood out in a positive way. The biggest issue was the ordering line. There was a long line at one register while a second register had little to no line. The male employees behind that register, specifically two guys chatting with each other, never made any effort to let people know they were available to take orders or help move the line along. It seemed like an easy problem to fix, but they didn't appear concerned about reducing the wait.
