Yummy, my prime rib was great. But they didn't have my pea salad substituted with the artichoke crab dip it was all amazing.

I was not impressed. Food ok, service pretty good, prices high. There are better places in town to spend your money on a nice meal.

This review is so late compared to when I uploaded the photo of my once-in-a-lifetime experience here. I was probably dreaming about my great time here that I forgot to return to Yelp to write my story. The years passed by like the wind from the hurricane that exiled everyone I knew including myself from the land of the Bayous. This is one of the best restaurants in the Spokane area. I came here to dine Pre Covid with some friends in the area. The view of the waterfall is absolutely jaw-dropping. You can see the full force of the water flowing down the edge underneath the trees standing near the banks. We wanted to dine outside on the patio to enjoy the gorgeous scenery if parking had not been an issue. One of our comrades was still circling the city because we could not find parking. It was in our best interest to order to go to save some gas money. The waitress who took our orders was very attentive. She asked us if we had any food allergies, what brought us into town that day, and if we were interested in the drinks menu. I am aware this is the special treatment you get from an expensive restaurant but I have never seen someone work that hard to please customers. She carefully noted our requests done on a notepad before handing the sheet to her manager to review. This is a good sign if you probably want to ask me for my opinion. We ordered the lunch specials such as the Wagyu Beef dish, Chophouse Burger, Grilled Salmon, and Shrimp Scampi. For dessert, we had the creme brulee and the southern-style bread pudding. The Wagyu was so delicious and soft. I have never had meat that tasty in my life. It filled my stomach up that I had to get a box for the potato cakes, almonds, and long beans. My friends commented they enjoyed their dishes too. They had the right amount of spices and seasoning without being overly salty. I could smell how good they were. The chef took his/her time using the freshest ingredients out there to make the food flavorful, juicy, and addicting. The desserts were equally good if not better. The creme brulee was toasted brown all the way to a glass-like consistency without being burnt at all. Each spoonful was light and crunchy. The bread pudding had a fluffy texture to it. Went here for a big family dinner. We had reserved a private room and first off it was set up poorly, we were all seated at different round tables with our backs to each other - it was also unbelievably hot and stuffy. The waitstaff was sweet and funny, and relatively attentive given the size of our group. The food was just meh. Not bad by any stretch, but nothing I would expect from a restaurant of this promised caliber. Will try it again with a smaller group, and see if it's any better, but would not recommend for large groups or parties. read more

First off I'd like to say this wasn't my first or only experience at Clinkerdaggers, if it were, I'd be giving it 2-3 star rating based on this last time we dined there. Usually a favorite, we went on a big holiday (memorial day) and I have to only assume they were either short staffed in the kitchen or didn't have their usual chef over see the dishes coming out. Because the food really lacked their usual standards. I love their complimentary warm garlic bread which is almost like a focaccia with a hint of rosemary. (This time around it was the only dish that was spot on). For starters we ordered the Seared Teriyaki Tenderloins appetizer (having ordered this appetizer before and liked it) which is described in the menu as- Spicy pineapple, sticky rice, daikon sprouts, sweet soy glaze. There was no sprouts or garnish the spicy pineapple was almost dehydrated it was over cooked so much and they was no glaze as at all as you can see from the picture. The rice was dried out too. A huge miss! For entrees I ordered the Shellfish Fettucine which was dry, lacking sauce, overcooked fish and seriously under seasoned. My husband ordered the $45 16oz Prime Rib which is usually the best thing on their menu. Being pregnant and wanting to share some of the prime rib with me he ordered it medium- well instead of his usual medium which may have been our mistake. While it was tender and it wasn't as juicy. I dislike how little au jus they give you for such a big cut of meat, even though they will bring you extra if you ask. The vegetables on the plate were really sad, overcooked and tasteless. The mashed potatoes were crusted over like they sat on the hot plate way too long or were yesterdays. for a $45 plate I expect everything they put on it to be spot on...and it just wasn't. Sad. I was so disappointed by the whole experience this time we skipped dessert. Assuming they just had a bad day, as I haven't had such poor food from them in my past experiences...I will give them another chance. But I was seriously disappointed and if i have another such experience I'd never return again. read more

Staff was very friendly! Interior of restaurant reminded me of an old school Italian restaurant back east. Low lighting and quiet inviting ambiance. Opted to sit outside and take advantage of the sunset and warm weather. Not all that well lit but the river is so pretty to look at and LOUD! Restaurant was closing soon when I showed up. Asked the server what was the freshest filet on the menu and he recommended the steelhead. As you can see by the photo I almost licked the plate clean! The fish was cooked perfectly as were the veggies. The sauce was nice and creamy but not heavy. Perfect serving size! Didn't leave stuffed and uncomfortable. Great experience! phenomenal dinner! Visiting from out of town and had lunch today. The only reason to go here is the view of the water on the deck. We had the open faced crab sandwich and sole entree. The sandwich was basically just artichoke dip with melted cheese on toast and the sole was super thin and so crusted with crunchy cheese, I barely knew it was fish. I was surprised by the low quality seafood considering its pricey and "well-reviewed" for Spokane. Additionally the $4 iced tea was so weak it tasted like water. We waited 45 minutes for our food as well and it did not seem especially busy. read more

Hands down one of Spokanes best restaurants! There garlic bread that comes out before your meals is sooooo good! They definitely have one of the best happy hours around town. Drinks are delicious. Clinkerdagger was amazing. My father and I drove to Spokane to see my kids/his grandkids. The restaurant seated us in a reasonable time and the atmosphere was very comfortable. We were able to talk and have conversations without the distractions of overly loud restaurant guests. We had drinks, appetizers and a main course. The food was wonderful, the service was incredible and that made it such a memorable experience. There's paid parking but Clinkerdagger validates which makes this restaurant very convenient. I felt safe in the area and there are numerous walking paths along the Spokane River that you can enjoy before or after a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant is a bit pricey which you would expect from the ambience, quality of food and excellent service. Please go enjoy this wonderful treasure of a restaurant in Spokane! read more

I love Clinkerdagger. Their pork chop is amazing. I am allergic to so many foods. I can only have pork and white fish where meat is concerned and they have the pork chop down. Nobody makes a pork chop the way they do. It is out of this world. their clam chowder is delicious. Their crème brûlée is delicious. Everything they do is really good. It is to me even though it's more casual. It is a five star restaurant in my book. my husband and I when we go there we are never disappointed by the food. We went there for our 32nd wedding anniversary last year on June 1 in 2023. Now when we go out we are dropping a couple hundred dollars on dinner. It takes a long time for my husband to earn $200. We also have an adult child with special needs & we live him with all we have and all we are. So a night out for us is special. We don't go out like that & drop money like that on dinner because it's expensive & we have responsibilities. We live special needs 24-7 & that's okay we signed up for that when we had a child. However, when we spend that kind of money we expect the experience to be worth while. Needless to say... We were very disappointed by the service, but the food was great when we got it. In example, the server gave everyone their own crème brûlée at the end of the meal it was complimentary. She did this for the birthdays, the couples who were celebrating their anniversary, I watched her very carefully. She was generous to everyone she served that night except us. She came to our table and she gave my husband and I a complimentary crème brûlée for us to share. She set it down and proceeded to run off and schmooz the people who had ordered four or five bottles 7 bottles of wine, all empty and just stood there, talking to her wine drinking guests, who I hope took an UBER LYFT OR TAXI TO GET HOME!! So instead of doing her job, she's paid to so and giving equal attention to all of her other paying guests...she gave good service to most but not good to us. We were very disappointed but we left her a really good tip more than 20% regardless the fact that she could've done better. I'm a firm believer in leaving a good tip even if the service isn't the best, because every one makes mistakes has an off day & maybe they'll think about how they treated their last client and they'll make better choices next time. Our food took forever to get that night they ran out of pork chops & improvised by using a pork tenderloin in its place. We never complained about how long it took, we realized they were slammed & just remained grateful for being able to be out & celebrate our special day. We still got charged the same as everyone else but got the shaft on service & dessert. So they definitely have a server who showed some serious favoritism that night. We hope she upped her game & standards after that. The last time we went to Clinkerdagger, we went to celebrate a different anniversary this time. Instead of our wedding anniversary we were celebrating my husband's 7th year of no cancer . This time we got a completely different server she was fantastic. She was attentive & on the ball. The place was slammed, and yet she was very very good to us. She wasn't off schmoozing the people who ordered 4 or 5 bottles of wine. She was equally attentive to all of her guests it really changed how we felt about our experience after that last time. Well if you like the fact that Clinkendagger is part of a franchise, meaning the food will be the same as other places at Landry's restaurants, then go there. Would've really preferred to have a hand cut Caesar salad instead of a knife cut Caesar salad. If you get a view you're pretty lucky, because it doesn't seem to be very easy to get one. My husband and I wanted to take his parents out for a day after Thanksgiving meal. We have come here for years and have always loved the ambiance and food and wanted to share that same experience with my husband's parents. Very disappointed tonight. The food took almost an hour before it came and when it did it was very small. My husband ordered the shrimp and scallops plate and it was cold, bland, lacked presentation and was extremely small for $44! I ordered the mahi mahi seasonal dish and the portion once again seemed way smaller than they typically have been. The mashed potatoes had a crust on them, as if they were under a heat lamp and the fish was very bland. We also split a pea salad before dinner and again, way smaller than ever before. Something was definitely different tonight. Very disappointed. Was planning on taking my husband here next week for his birthday, which has been our tradition for years but will now make other plans. This fine dining establishment did not disappoint. The view, the atmosphere, the service, and the food were all exceptional. The atmosphere is warm and rustic, yet classy at the same time. The service was on point-- friendly and attentive. It is pricey, but everything we ate was so delicious, it was quite worth it. Reading some of the reviews below surprised me. We've been coming to Clinks for 30 years. We even celebrated our 50th this past August. It is an amazing place. We have NEVER received bad service. The staff is always amazing. Yes, it is usually very busy and the staff are jumping from table to table. But we have NEVER had to wait for service, drinks or our food. When you go to a place like Clinks you must know it's not a place where you go in and out quickly. It's a place to enjoy the atmosphere and the food. The #1 thing to remember is to make reservations. We even have a special table number listed on our profile. I always request it when I make reservations. Sometimes we get it. Sometimes we don't. We certainly don't complain when we don't get it. Give this place a try. And have an open mind and a good attitude. read more

The food was excellent! I had the blackened salmon and my husband had the halibut. We shared the crème brûlée. The service.... Was lacking. It was an hour and 15 minutes after being seated before we got our dinner. And we we ordered quickly after being seated. A nearby table that was seated a good 30 minutes after us was done before we were. I'm hoping this is an under staffing issue but i will say we did not feel welcomed or valued. read more

5 Stars for their location. The view watching the sunset over the water cannot be beat and the walk-through of this old flour mill really is pretty cool! (Think and old ship deck-like feel.) 4 Stars for the drinks! They were delicious and filled to the brim (even though my martini didn't make it to the table as full as when it was poured at the bar) but it took far too long to get to me and a decent amount was left on the tray. 2 Stars for the service and the food. Despite sitting at the bar for close to 20 minutes, it took nearly 10 minutes just to place the drink order and another 10 for the drinks to be made. As mentioned above, they were delicious once they arrived (I got the 3 Berry Cosmo) but the wait was unnecessary. Once I placed my food order, (20 minutes later) I immediately asked the waitress for a straw for my water and a dessert menu and 20 minutes after that, one of the two came back (the straw.) She actually said "I didn't forget, it just takes me awhile!" (aka...she forgot.) Sadly, the dessert menu never showed up and even if it had, our 3 hour dinner had made us one of the last people in the place. As for the food, my rib eye came out lukewarm, at best, and by the time it finally did arrive, the sun had set so much I could barely see to eat it. The only light source was a lamp on the patio 20 feet away and some small string lights on the railing behind us. This Rock Salt Roasted dish is supposed to be their specialty and it was tasty but I question it's $37 price tag. Would I come back here for a date? Maybe, if we had no place to be for the night. First, the staff was amazing: prompt, friendly, and timely. It was nicely decorated for the Christmas season. Very inviting atmosphere. However, the food was disappointing. The gorgonzola fries were sweet potato, that was not stated on the menu. This was not a tasty flavor combo. When we asked, "you can request regular fries", since not stated on the menu, we would not have know to ask. The steak bites were tender but very salty and a unusual crunch was added. The calamari was advertised as "country fried", this was not the case at all. Lightly breaded and not tasty. The brie was the only food on the menu that was delicious and up to the normal standard. It was an expensive Happy Hour and very disappointing for our out of town guests. This will be our last visit to Clinkerdagger's. read more
