The food quality was typical McD's and the staff were friendly. When opening the wrapper on the McMuffin, I found the bread to be nearly torn in half. I asked for them to be freshly made because they often get cold before I get to even eat them. The girl who took my order didn't even respond when I said I would like they freshly made and said anything else. Then I get to the window and this guy gives me my fries. I ask if they were made fresh. He's like yeah... we're busy. There was literally one car behind me at a place that's only drive-thru.... I also wouldn't have minded waiting outside to have them as so because I literally just wanted one good thing. If the girl told me they were busy and couldn't accommodate that, I would have understood but she didn't even reply and told me to pretty much move along. Came home and guess what? We went through the drive-through during a small rush which quickly cleared out. From the start, after telling the drive-through speaker that I had a few mobile orders, the employee sounded frustrated, rude, and unhappy. Once pulled to the window and interacted with multiple employees, we Quickly realized that no one was in a good mood and everyone seemed like they hated their jobs. It was a terrible experience and The fries were cold and food wasn't fresh. We waited in the line for over 15 minutes and didn't get one single smile or thank you for our patience which is an elementary skill for customer service. After being kind to the employees, we got no kindness back. The manager wearing a purple shirt was clearly upset that we had multiple mobile orders, even though we were never told that we can only have two mobile orders in one pull through. When you're hungry, there's nothing like a quarter pounder with cheese to satisfy that need. We love that they make these when ordered and it's an even better deal when they're 2 for 6 bucks!! They've improved the quality of products that they serve here and not only can you see it, you can definitely taste it too. We don't mind a little longer wait time in line for them to prepare our food because it really tastes so much better!! I went through the drive through late one night on my way to work, ordered two cheeseburgers for a couple bucks, no problem. The next day when I checked my bank account there was that charge, and a totally separate charge for $10 even (nothing at McD's costs $10 even). I called the assistant manager who couldn't help, then talked to the manager who couldn't help, then was sent to "the office" and was handled by the rudest woman in customer service. She told me to report it as fraud to my bank and see what they could do. I asked if she was at all worried that one of their employees was stealing or committing fraud, she rudely replied, no, I'm not worried about it. Every time I have come here the people have been really friendly. Service can be a bit slow during lunch rush. This location has a rather cool concept. There is a walk up window with tall standing tables. So you don't have to go all the way in if you don't want to, and I imagine some college kids will use this after a night of crazy times. Also lots of outdoor seating. Place stays pretty clean, which tells me the employees use downtime wisely. Other than that, it is McDonald's so no real surprises here. read more

I go here regularly after 10pm, and I feel so bad for the workers. Terribly understaffed, walk up window always takes 20+ minutes with without anyone else in line. The drive thru is normally better, but occasionally I'll get stuck in it for literally 30 minutes. I'm happy that the last few visits have had ice cream, but more often then not the ice cream machine is out of service from 8pm-close. I've gotten flat soda from the drive thru due to it sitting out for so long. It's not even the workers fault, they're always polite and apologetic. They only have 2 visible people in there on weekend nights! This is the latest thing open near Gonzaga, the managers need to realize that it gets slammed every night right at close! read more

I know it's a McDonald's, and I love jumping up and down on corporate America much more than the next guy, but what makes this place stand out is consistency. I live a few blocks away, and I'm a lazy bachelor who likes his arteries like he likes his women, hard. So I hit this place a couple of times a month. Five at the outside. Maybe twice a week, if I haven't shopped. It's not every day. Point being, every time I go here, late at night, crack of dawn, middle of the day, evening, dusk, I always get slamming, courteous, smart service. From the manager on down, I've seen a lot of the workers there, and they're doing a hard job well. The food is McDonald's, but they don't get it wrong, screw it up, drag it out more than is necessary, and there's a sense that if I had an issue, it'd be fixed with the same efficiency that they do everything else. My only concern is that, while a model of efficiency, I worry about the workers. I'm hoping they're being treated with respect and that management recognizes what an exceptional team they have, and strives for their contentment. Hence the 4-stars. Given the pressure of that position and the mandated wages handed down from on high, I know they aren't being paid enough, but I don't know if the in-house management is courteous and thoughtful of the work being done by the people. Dear god, that turned into some kind of Marxist diatribe! I might be a little stoned. And hungry. Worst trip to McDonald's ever!!!! In my life. 26 minutes in the drive thru and counting, sitting in the pullahead lane for 6 minutes now with a small order and all the girl at the 2nd window said is were a mess today. Understaffed and are boliers not working right. My girlfriend went in and come back out 3 minutes later with our meal. That wasn't right either they gave us 1 burger as ordered and the other not as ordered. Inside they said sorry we gave you a free pie for your time. Will want a free pie or a pie we want what we ordered in a timely fast food fashion and not be trapped in your drive-thru with a curb around it so he can't leave and really after 26 plus minutes basically 30 minutes we want a full refund. The pick up list sticker on her bag is stamped at 1:54 we got our meal after 2 so does that mean our food was sitting there in a bag wrong for the last 10 minutes. My girlfriend told them to have someone go out and close their drive thru till they can get caught up or figure it out cuz you can't have people getting Trapped in the Drive-Thru for a half hour at a fast food restaurant absolutely ridiculous worst experience of McDonald's in my entire life at 42.!!! Stopped by this location to get an egg McMuffin. I am a teacher so I used my mcteacher night card for a free breakfast sandwich. There was one car in front of me, so it wasn't busy. The window employee had no idea what the mcteacher card is, but credited me and I pulled forward. The second window employee told me they had to make a fresh breakfast, and to pull to the "overflow" window. I waited 16 minutes at the 3rd window. No egg McMuffin. Tons of other sandwiches were being made, as I witnessed through that window. Still, no egg McMuffin. By this time there was another car behind me. I can't wait to call corporate headquarters. I just had the worst experience with this McDonalds drive thru service. We ordered a dipped cone a shake and two fries. So when we get to the window to pick up our food they hand us a regular cone, my friend had taken the cone by the time I was able to say I ordered a dipped one, so the employee said she was not able to take it back since it left the window, but we can just keep it. So we take it and start eating it because it is starting to melt. Well she comes back moments and says she has to charge the extra for it to be dipped since it was ring up wrong. So not a problem with us, we want to be charged correctly and not mess with them. She walks away them comes back stating she has to dip the cone we have already received or charge us for the extra, but since we already started eating it she would have to charge us. Now this is what really gets to me, she stated we could keep it so that is why we were eating and basically have no options but to be charged. So we let her charge the extra cone, whatever I annoyed but ill deal with it. So the manager (named Taylor who is a man) comes up to the window with an UNDIPPED cone and makes a sexist comment saying he was only going to dip the tip for us... This obviously upsets us more and we angrily tell him to Just dip it so we can leave already. Well he brings us back the cone dipped this time and it is the worst dipped cone I've had! I mean it tasted fine, but the chocolate didn't cover the entire ice cream part so it was dripping and falling apart all over me making it not enjoyable to eat. This McDonald's is fine, and any other time we've come it's been okay. But Taylor the Manager working that night is a terrible man who needs to learn real customer service and how to speak to people... read more
