    Gỏi Cuốn/ Spring Roll (2)

I have gone to this restaurant twice during lunchtime and it has never disappointed. The first time I got a Bahn Mi sandwich and the bread of us fluffy on the inside and crusty on the outside, just like it should be. The pickled veggies inside and the meats were delicious. The second time I went, I had #11 Cơm Thịt Heo Nướng, Thịt Bò, Trứng Gà, & Tôm. This was so flavorful. The marinated meat was soft and tasty and the fluffy rice complimented every bite. The egg on top is a perfect touch. I bite it with meat rice, egg yolk, and green onion was amazing. This is the first time I've ever tried this dish and I still think about it to this day. I ordered the spring rolls that came in a chewy rice paper wrapping. Although it comes with a peanut sauce, I'm not a big fan. So I asked for a different dipping sauce and they brought me out this sweet fish sauce with pepper flakes. If you're new to Vietnamese food, I highly recommend you try these dishes. The next time I go, I may tackle a huge bowl of Pho.

The new bhan mi are perfect the bread is toasted and the flavor profiles . I highly recommend trying the new sandwiches.

First time here and I didn't order coz I saw Bun Bo Hue. This is more of the classic spicy beef and pork soup that I loved when I was in Vietnam. Overall, it was good but could have been better. The broth needed a little bit of seasoning and umami flavor. The big big difference is that in Vietnam, they use real pork hock which gives that velvety broth flavor. They used a pork patty which tasted good. Service was quick. Ample parking.

I ordered the Beef Pho and spring rolls. Both were amazing. The restaurant was clean and served us our food quickly. It was so yummy, I will be back!

Food: 4/5 I've tried the Ban Mi sandwich before at an event and I had to go back and check out some more foods. My partner got Pho Tom and I got the #26, sweet and sour chicken and almond chicken. I didn't really like the sauce on the almond chicken but the sweet and sour one was good. the chicken is severely fried and they are big chunks. The food came out piping hot which I love, but the food was a bit unhealthy for me, I'd probably stick to the bahn mi next time. Ambiance: 2.5/5 The restaurant was pretty dirty. There were dirty fingerprint stains on the door to come in, the walls/picture frames had splattered food all over them and the tables had a glass top but with a gap in between so there was a lot of food/sauce/crumbs in between the table top and the glass which was honestly disgusting to me. I couldn't trust any of the condiments on the table because of the state of it. Service: Our server ordered with us pretty quickly but then it started to pickup with many more people coming in and we were waiting around for a while, had to get our own food trays which was okay because they are in the center of the restaurant but we had to end up going up to the counter to pay which may be how they do it, we just didn't know. Overall If i were to come again I would stick to something standard like bahn mi or pho and I would take it to go, so I can use my own condiments, cups, silverware.

Bun Bo Hue (take out version and I didn't have a bowl so improvised)

For reference, I am Vietnamese and come from a big city with an abundance of Vietnamese options that were delicious for the American palate but not enough for my immigrant Vietnamese parents (understandably). As so, I always look towards reviews to give me a reference of how someone is reviewing a restaurant so I can set my expectations accordingly. This was my first time here and I got the bun Bo hue to-go. It came out well packaged and very hot. The flavors were overall okay, it was palatable and if someone had given it to me, I would've finished it fine. Bun Bo hue is usually an extremely fragrant, spicy dish due to the lemongrass and various spices it's cooked with. There was flavor (it wasn't bland) but the depth of the flavors were lacking and I couldn't really taste the lemongrass nor the spiciness. The portion of the noodles was also small and not filling, but that may or may not be due to getting take out? Granted I didn't eat the meat (I usually don't, but I still get full from bun Bo hue usually). I will say the people working there in the front spoke Vietnamese and the overall atmosphere felt like it could've been authentic, but perhaps it's been adjusted towards a Spokane palate either for survival or due to lack of resources here (not sure). I would love for them to thrive and would want try other dishes there for a more fair review as bun Bo hue is somewhat niche and may not be ordered enough for them to perfect it.

I picked this place for lunch because they're yelp reviews were high. It checked every bad box on the list other than the server was polite enough. Upon sitting down, I realized that I had probably ordered in the wrong place. The floor was dirty. Tables were dirty. There was a half empty 100 gallon fish tank with nothing but green slime in it. No music, dirty windows with dirty, handprints all over them Every single container of sauce on my table was caked with food and all the chrome napkin holders were filthy. When my meal came, my basil, was actually dead and black on half the leaf. I asked for More and they said they had no more for me. I was so grossed out halfway through. I couldn't finish my meal and the person I was with said that their stirfry was pretty bad. My pho soup had very little flavor? I have never had to add salt to pho. My $15 bowl of pho. It should've been top end for that price. I asked for tea and they actually brought me straight up dirty tea cups?! The waitress apologized and said the chef was gone on vacation, but did not offer any discount on the meal that I didn't even eat. Again, really sorry I had to write this. I hope they turn it around before they go out of business. NEXT DAY EDIT: Had to come back to add today (next morning) my stomach is awful?

Amazing!!!!!! This review is long overdue…read more True hidden gem of a restaurant. I am from the Tri cities and when I come I head directly here. The wings are out of this world. The fried rice is sooo good. I ordered with Shrimp and it was just yummy. And to top it off I would be remiss if I didn't mention the Indonesian dessert -Banana Lumpia. Not a big banana guy but trust me you will love it. I've been begging the owner who is so nice and so positive to come down to the Tri cities. Also their Pho is what I usually get but now with the fried rice. It is now my favorite dish.

It was vegetables and herbs and pork wrapped in rice paper. It was really refreshing and the sauces; peanut, sambal, and chili were so good! But they were 14 dollars and barely had any pork... The bao buns were good, the pork belly being really great. The bun itself was not great, but the sauce in the bao made up for it. But it was 12 DOLLARS for TWO small sized bao buns! The kalbi was tender and really nicely charred. The flavors were nice with a sweetness that paired well with the smoky flavor and was probably the best dish over all. The bombay chicken also had a really nice flavor, but was so dry it was nearly impossible to eat. I got the ko moo yang which is a marinated pork dish. The flavor wasn't exceptional - it was also dry. We did get sides; marinated greens, egg, radish, and noodles but the portions sizes for them were comically small. I swear there were 6 macaroni noodles. The Thai tea was overly sweet and this was mentioned-! they only had coconut milk and told us that but it was so chunky, a sort of curdle milke texture, it was hard to suck through the straw. Our service was very slow and a member of my party had mentioned that she didn't eat spicy food and so the server didn't bring over hot sauce for the rest of the party who do eat spicy? Plus it was very slow moving which was strange because there was no one there, like it took ten minutes for two drinks which were sodas. We arrived there around 3pm and left around 5pm. It didn't have interesting decor but the windows did allow a lot of natural light out. While I didn't pay attention two members of my party noticed that while the lobby was clean - the kitchen wasn't.

The broccoli beef was $18 before tax. The takeout order came with a light broth egg, pea soup and rice. The egg pea soup was good, light and fragrant. The rice was somehow bland and old. The seasoning was bland and watered down, from the extra veggies. The portion for $18 and less broccoli and beef was depressing. The bowl was the same size as my small hand.
