I had high hopes for Uoni, especially with a name that suggested Asian-inspired flavors, but sadly, the experience fell far below expectations. I ordered the Ube drink with oat milk, which was $9, and what I got was a powdery-tasting mix of oat milk and ube powder, served in a cup more than half-filled with ice. There was barely any actual drink, and what little there was had a chalky texture with no depth of ube flavor. It felt overpriced for something that tasted mass-produced and artificial. The taro option appeared to be the same--powdered, not fresh, and lacked authenticity. As for the space, the vibe was okay but a bit run-down. It felt like a college-town hangout, not the cleanest, but the AC was strong, which was a saving grace on a hot day. There are plenty of seats, so it could be a good place to cool off and relax--just don't expect much from the drinks. Service was standard. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. The drink quality didn't justify the price, and there was no true Asian flavor experience despite the branding.

Back in Spokane and decided to give this place another shot since I was craving boba--but wow, the prices are insane. We got two drinks and it came out to almost $20. It's right next to a university too, so I'm not sure how they justify charging that much. The tea was just okay--not worth the price.

Tasty boba! I got the Brown Sugar Oat Milk Bar and it was delicious! They have great non-dairy and vegan options. We really wanted to buy some taiyaki but they were unavailable :(. Plenty of seating and cute vibe. Would come again.

I was really excited for this place to open today, given the beautiful drinks and taiyaki they posted on Instagram. The cafe is quite spacious and is located next to a few other businesses and Gonzaga University. There is a free parking lot next to it. Menu - A lot of options, but the words are small and hard to read. There are typos (tara vs taro, carmel vs caramel), missing things (25% sweetness is not an option but is when you ask the worker), and the specialties are not described (like what is Baby Bubbli?). Drinks are beautifully displayed on the screens and the cafe is fairly clean, however. They were also doing a buy 2 get 1 free specialty or milk tea drink. Service - VERY SLOW today. I waited 1 hour for the 3 drinks we ordered. They had run out of tapioca pearls and came to apologize and explain what happened after we waited for 15 minutes. They said that the pearls will be done in 20 minutes and offered us vouchers for a free drink the next time we came. However, they did not give us any proof of the vouchers... just took our first and last names down. They said the vouchers did not expire... but am a little skeptical whether they will hold their word. They also offered topping substitutes, but we decided to wait. So then, 20 more minutes passed (supposedly boba is done), and people who had ordered after us started to get their drinks with boba in it. Once I had waited for 1 hour, I asked them if they were making our 3 drinks. They had forgotten but served it to our table within 5 minutes. Drinks - I chose the Baby Bubbli, 25% sweet, less ice. It costs 7.25 and the worker described it as having egg pudding, boba, house milk tea, and a milk cap. When I got the drink, it did not have egg pudding or milk cap... It was just boba and milk tea. Pretty disappointed in the miscommunication. 25% was also still on the sweeter side, so either they had forgotten or I will just get 0% sweetness next time. My friends have also said their 100% is on the sweet side as well, whether it was their regular milk tea or other drinks. Boba is cooked well and I definitely got less ice which I appreciate. I will say that besides messing up my drink, that their specialty drinks are very beautiful. Taiyaki - Had the red (azuki) bean one, and it's pretty good. No complaints. They served it hot and gave them in boxes. There were actual azuki beans in it (instead of just paste), which I really like. Would recommend. They did not have taro taiyaki, but it was on their menu. I think having a sign saying it's not available or just not having it on the menu so there is better communication with the customers is preferred. I write all this in hopes that improvements can be made in the future. If this was an established boba place, I would have given Uoni 1 star... But I cut some slack given that it is their opening day "soft launch". My expectation for a "soft launch" was more than this... that there wasn't a 1-hour wait for 3 bobas, messed up orders, typos on their menu, etc. The workers I spoke to were all kind and seemed stressed with all the orders on opening day. I think the place would really benefit from better communication within the team, which could lead to better service and drinks made correctly, and to their customers. They have potential to have the best boba shop in Spokane (and I have tried a few of the others around here). I will write a new Yelp post when I redeem my voucher in a couple of months.... I hope my second experience will be better.

This boba is so good, but you need to wait good 20 minutes even if they don't have a lot of people there.

So happy to have a place to get Tayaki in town! I ordered one of each flavor and all were delicious. They were served warm, with a slight crisp on the edges and great texture throughout. I'd say my favorite was the classic red bean which has just the right balance of sweetness. The team there is very welcoming and friendly. And the atmosphere is lively. I can't want to come back to try their bubble teas!

Got their cocoa cookie milk tea and caramel cookie milk tea. The cocoa one tasted like low quality cocoa powder mixed with milk leaving a chalky taste in my mouth. The caramel cookie was better but did not taste like how it was described. There was no distinct flavor to emphasize the uniqueness of the drink. I also tried my friend's Kellie's strawberry milk bar drink and it was the most decent of the 3, however, it was on the sweeter side at 100% sweetness which I usually get at other boba places. I also saw a lot of powders and store bought syrups which made me hesitant to justify the cost of the drinks. Most items on the menu were too expensive for what you are getting. Considering it's location next to many colleges, pricing should be more affordable. Service on opening day was very slow and hectic, but that is expected. They were accommodating to provide discounts to make up for the delays. Ambience was ok. However, not much of a place to study at.

Nice chill little spot! Good customer service and lots of cool drinks! I got the crème brûlée brown sugar milk tea boba. Also got the taiyaki fish snacks filled with red bean and the other with Nutella! Super good and satisfying for desert! Give this place a try if your in town and want some boba!

We are on a family trip and somehow found this place and it was a great treat. I got the UBE Vietnamese coffee. Presentation is picture perfect and the taste was spot on! . I highly recommend stopping over. They have a large selection of drinks ranging from coffees to milk teas. Worth stopping in for a treat. Great customer service too!!

The food and drink taste different every time :( Just came back to Spokane for three days and I've been going there every day, ordering the same stuff. The first time was great. Second time taiyaki was undercooked, filling was still raw. Third time had the same issue w taiyaki, and they only filled up half of the drink I ordered and made the 50% sweetness way too sweet. I told them that the 50% was sweeter than 1st and 2nd time, and they made a 0% sweetness for me, which is still sweeter than the 1st and 2nd time. I ordered the drink without ice so I understand if they don't want to fill up the whole cup, but they filled it up the 1st and 2nd time. I wish they mention there's a change of policy when I ordered or have the option to add money to fill up the whole cup. Overall, the inconsistency is really disappointing. Still want to support zag graduate but the employees need more training.

Do not come here if you are in a hurry.... They were more concerned with chit chat than getting people their orders.

I have tried them before at the Perry Farmer's Market. Overall, great quality drinks but at a pricier cost. PARKING: You can park in the structure (not sure if they validate though). You can also do metered parking as well. I waited in the loading zone as my husband went to grab the drinks we ordered ahead of the time through their website. ONLINE ORDERING: Highly recommend doing this for quick pick-ups! Drinks were made within 10 min of ordering. Love how you can personalize what % of sweetness and level of ice you want when ordering. JASMINE MILK TEA: Comes with jasmine milk tea with half and half creamer. I ordered this at 75% sweetness and light ice, which was perfect for me. I had to add boba as a topping, which sucks for the added price as typically places include boba for the basic jasmine/black milk tea. With the boba and it being a large size, this cost $6.75. YIKES for inflation and the high pricing, but I enjoyed it. STRAWBERRY GREEN TEA: Comes with green tea and natural strawberry puree that is sweetened (making it so that the minimum sweetness level is 25%). I ordered this in regular size and with boba as well, which again was additional and on the pricier side than what I want to pay for a drink ($6.25). I also ordered this at 50% sweetness and light ice, which was a little too light for me (I'd get 75% sweetness next time personally). TOPPINGS: They have a great assortment of toppings or substitutions which I will list below. All toppings are an additional 75 cents to your drink. If you wanted double of a topping, it would be an additional $1.25. -Boba -Jelly: Strawberry, Lychee, Rainbow, Half/Half -Milk: Soy, Oat -Puree: Strawberry, Mango -Salted Cream

The place was cute, inviting, and clean. I asked how long she'd been open and she said about 5 months. I assumed it was the owner, but tbh I'm not sure. My roommate isn't super into traditional Asian flavors, so I ordered for him and got him a Strawberry Milk Tea without Boboa and an Oreo Souffle Pancake. He loves Oreo and figured I couldn't go wrong there. While waiting for our treats to be made, I checked out all the international snacks and grabbed a bag of Japanese style BBQ flavor corn puffs and hot garlic shrimp chips and a box of shortbread cookies that were in the shape of cats. Definitely check out the snacks, they have everything from sweet to savory. If you're into matcha, they have a handful of matcha inspired and flavored snacks--they even have matcha Oreo cookies. Also, they have a small frozen food section with ice cream, steamed pork buns, spring rolls, etc. The souffle pancakes came out beautiful and were so fresh and delicious. It wasn't too eggy tasting either if you know what I mean. The cream and fresh strawberries, that were sweet by the way, complimented the souffle well...it wasn't so overpowering and you could still taste the actual souffle. My Thai Boboa was very traditional and I enjoyed it a lot. I'm looking forward to coming back!

Two employees were working--one making drinks and another preparing Poke Bowls. After ordering our drinks, we waited patiently while the children played in the lobby. When my wife approached the Poke Bowl counter to place her order, the employee finished serving the customer ahead of her, then left without acknowledging her presence. After waiting about a minute, my wife asked the drink-making employee if his colleague was returning. That employee called for the Poke Bowl maker to come back. When he returned, my wife asked, "You didn't see me here?" He responded, "I thought you were with the other group," gesturing toward the children waiting for their boba drinks. While waiting, the children stood on chairs near the counter to watch the drinks being made. The second employee reasonably asked them to get down for safety reasons, which they did. When our drinks finally arrived, one was incorrect and my daughter didn't want it. We requested it be remade, and my wife apologized. I told her quietly, "It wasn't our mistake. You don't need to apologize." At this point, the employee (who we later learned was the manager) became extremely agitated. He began yelling at us about our "attitudes" in front of the children, escalating the situation to the point where the children felt frightened. That's when I started recording the incident on my phone. Later, the manager claimed that other customers had complained about us being rude to his staff. We questioned this statement since we had observed only one other customer during our time there, and after serving that person, the manager had remained in the back until called out.
