The person on the phone was very thoughtful in keeping in mind at what time I would arrive so he could arrange for the sandwich to be toasted at the right time. I appreciate small details like that. When I arrived, I noticed there were several tables and a bar where you can essentially get brews and food. I noticed they had several beers on tap which I was very curious about, but unfortunately did not have time to sit down and eat at this establishment. The person at the bar was extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. The two sandwiches came up to $40ish. I brought the sandwiches home and first tried a few bites of the Fancy Pants Sando. I will have to say it was the better of the two sandwiches. I appreciated the goat cheese in the sandwich and the mix of different ingredients, but it was not something I would consider to be a great sandwich, at least not for me. Others might find it pleasant, but I did not care for it much. The fig sandwich was the one I was more excited about and expected some sweetness to be cut down by the bacon. I don't think it was a perfect balance between the two, and I got a tad much of the overwhelming sweetness of the figs in this sandwich. Again, others might enjoy it, but I didn't care for it. I really wanted to give this place a great review, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The food was incredible--seriously, a 10 out of 10--so I highly recommend visiting just for that. They also have a drive-through option where a lot of people bring furry friend to get a treat. The kittens do cost $200, which is good to know upfront. That said, the adoption process is very slow. Because it's off-season (winter) they have limited cats, and the website wasn't very functional. They open their books for a reservations the week of and they book up pretty fast. They do have walk-in visits Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays for around $5, it's four people at a time and it's first come first serve for those visits. Same-day adoptions aren't possible; you need an appointment. If you're looking to adopt quickly, I'd suggest trying somewhere else--like Petsmart, where we found a beautiful kitten and adopted the same day. The process was seamless and so easy. Still, I'll definitely be back for the food and to support them with donations--just be prepared for a longer adoption timeline.
