    Salmon Niçoise salad
    Morgan H.

We were looking for a place to have a quick lunch in the Spokane downtown area. Located on the third floor of Nordstroms, the cafe has a counter to order and then table seating. We grabbed a table and then the server delivered our food. My only complaint was that the items did not come out at the same time. The Salmon Nicoise was excellent with a large piece of flaky salmon with a fresh pesto spread, sliced, roasted, greens and egg with a light vinaigrette. I really liked the seasoning that encrusted the salmon. the atmosphere is pleasant as well since it is removed from the shop and has plenty of windows overlooking the downtown. I would recommend if at the mall and looking for a convenient, sit down lunch option.

I've been to this place twice. It's wouldn't be my first pic for a sit down meal but it's not too bad. There's not many options from the menu. But they do have some good things. The location is kind of hidden and I didn't know it was there till just recently. Not a bad place, has good food.

    Chinese chicken salad (half size)

My mom recommended to eat here so we dined here for an early dinner before watching the Lilac parade. The cafe was empty and there were lots of booths, tables to choose from. I had the half size chinese chicken salad which was good. Generous amount of chicken and tasty. Apparently you can half anything on the menu... Service here was also friendly. Would recommend if you're shopping in the area and looking for a nice, quiet sit down lunch

Super awesome place to eat with great food all around. I had the French dip and raspberry lemonade (a summer only drink) and they were both amazing! The sandwich is so filling I couldn't finish the other half. I totally recommend this place to anyone.

Stopped in on a whim after a trip downtown. I'd never been here before and I found it very calming. The dining area is tucked on the third floor of Nordstrom's and I think it would be a nice place for a girl's luncheon or a solo lunch. The staff was really lovely and gave my kiddo a box of raisins immediately as we came in. They have about five options on their kid's menu so I think it is totally child friendly, but the vibes were generally very quiet, so I felt like my kid was too loud (as opposed to, let's say Red Robin where you can barely hear!). I got a Chinese Chicken Salad for $12.50. It was a lovely salad, but probably not unique enough for me to order next time. I think I'll go back and try something else another time!

Hatch Beaker + Burr -- Spokane, WA…read more Midweek in Spokane and I was not expecting to walk into what felt like a warm hug disguised as a café. Wednesday morning. Doors open. Immediate vibe shift. Warm. Vibrant. Eclectic mix of humans scattered throughout -- laptops open, friends mid-laugh, someone clearly pretending to work. The energy felt alive without being chaotic. That's a sweet spot. The woman who served us? Absolute pro. Friendly with everyone. The kind of person who makes you feel like a regular on your first visit. Easy to talk to. Zero rush. Hospitality done right. We grabbed a solid-sized table for the group while one of the crew made a pastry run. Strong team execution. Now for the order: Iced latte. Almond milk. Honey. My control beverage. My combine drill. It was exactly what I expected -- smooth, balanced, no drama. And somehow... it tasted better because of the room. Setting matters. Coffee absorbs vibes. That's science.* (*Not verified.) This is one of those places you can: * Meet friends for breakfast * Post up and "work" for 4 hours * Or grab a quick coffee before pretending you're not late Would I come back? Absolutely. For the coffee, yes. For the vibes? Immediately. If you're visiting Spokane, this is a must-stop. No overthinking required. Rating 4.3 / 5 Açaí Berries Breakdown * Taste: 4.2/5 * Vibes: 4.7/5 * Service: 5/5 * Sit-All-Day Potential: High Current Status: Spokane Approved Lesson Learned: Coffee tastes better when the room feels right. I wanted to get a latte with maybe a seasonal flavor. Was disappointed with their flavor selections. I asked if they have holidays flavors and they said no. They had pumpkin spice only. Ended up just getting a chai. It was fine tasting, pretty average sweet chai. Was also $7.50 for a 16 oz chai which is steep.

(Unfortunately I literally live on the other side of the country, so before my trip to Spokane ended I made it a point to stop by Atticus multiple times.) The gift shop portion of the store stocks what feels like a little bit of everything. Books, stickers, soaps, lotions, trinkets, home decor, t-shirts, art, books, cards, chocolates...and that's just what I remember! And then the coffee shop portion has a surprisingly large menu. I'm used to coffee shops in stores being more like small coffee stands; but nope, this operation feels like a fully stocked coffee shop. Plus they also serve tea, matcha, and smoothies...and breakfast sandwiches, AND pastries. As you might imagine: this all makes the store smell quite good! There aren't a ton of seats but when I visited with family, we managed to find a couple tables so we could enjoy our drinks and snacks sitting down. Their coffee is very, very tasty - I tried both hot and iced lattes during my multiple visits. I didn't have tea on-site but I did buy some of their blends to brew at home, and they are also very, very tasty. Unfortunately they don't do online sales, and since I was traveling I didn't have the space to pack up everything I wanted to take home with me. Maybe future me will have the chance to come back...in the meantime, I hope you lucky locals appreciate this place as much as I did!

My daughter had the kids spaghetti with chicken added, and she confidently declared it the best spaghetti she's ever had... so there! Overall, a great experience with standout service and tasty food. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu before giving that fifth star.
