A unique cafe with Danish influence. When we walked in I knew it was a very popular place; People waiting to get in. A very nice ambience, very welcoming! The decor was also very nice in Fall colors and the service on point. The most unique thing about this restaurant as you can read in the menu, is that the owners have a real passion for the food they create and serve! They have special quotes and stories in the menu which is definitely worth reading. They live up to their word as the food was also very good! We started with an order of their fresh warm French Croissant Beignets with vanilla mascarpone and powdered sugar. Deeeelish!!! We also had the 3- Meat Scramble, Strawberry Danish Hotcakes and the Senior Farmhouse breakfast. Along with the Prickly Pear Mimosa. Truly a fulfilling dining experience!! First time attendee here. Great place for breakfast!! From the fresh OJ, strong coffee, and the food well seasoned and prepared. The biscuits & gravy have a hint of rosemary in a brown sausage gravy, the eggs were perfectly over easy and the hash browns with the hot sauce that didn't disappoint were great. I had to try to crème brûlée French toast with fresh whipped cream and a strawberry compote that I'm certain was more than homemade as well. Overall, the experience was well worth the trip. We had errands to run in Spokane Valley and spotted this Cafe'. We decided to give it a try for lunch and are so glad we did! Rick, the owner greeted us, told us about how his Cafe' came about and he made sure we had an excellent lunch... Hubby & I shared a sandwich and a peach Crepe'.. leaving room, barely, for their incredible 'Beignets' with mascarpone and jam,, I felt like I was in Europe, they were that good! The Cafe' itself was clean and bright and not over distracting with heavy decor. The music made the experience delightful as well. So glad we made the U-turn to go back to this Cafe'.. This place needs ten stars! Super clean inside and out, the decor is modern yet homey. The owners came by our table and treated us like family. All the food is scratch made and it shows! We started with beignets at the suggestion of owner Rich..OMG to die for! I had the house burger with bacon jam it was hands down the best burger I've ever eaten! Fresh made patty cooked perfectly. The Mediterranean fries were amazing too. Hubby had the Reuben, the meat was super tender, another home run. I was surprised at how reasonably priced the food is. They make their own lemonade and root beer! Both were equally delicious. Service was stellar! This place is worth an hour and a half drive just to go there. We'll be back! read more

I'm so glad we found this breakfast gem off Yelp! Lots of parking, the white ascetic with the crimson door is perfect! Inside it's very wide open and clean. The kitchen is an open concept so you can see your food getting made. Staff is incredible, our waitress gave good menu suggestions. The Beignets are on another level, we've eaten them in New Orleans and these blew those out of the water. Their homemade whipped cream reminds me of whipped cream with cream cheese/ cinnamon roll icing mix, I could have eaten a whole bowl of their whipped cream. I had the eggs Benedict with jalapeño cream cheese, it was the most amazing breakfast entree I've ever had! I'm still thinking about it. Children's breakfast plate was large and only $3!!!! Great little breakfast/lunch spot in the valley. Easy parking, cute ambiance, and delicious food. The Carmel coffee was really sweet and yummy and if you get two drinks you get $3 beignets. They were really good as well. We got the blueberry lemon ricotta crepe and jalapeño eggs Benedict as our mains. The crepe was a alright, but I would probably go with the lemon next time. I really enjoyed my experience here! From the warm, perfectly puffy beignets to the main dish, everything was delicious and exceeded my expectations. The mimosas were excellent--I tried the huckleberry flavor, which was new to me, and I absolutely loved it. I ordered the eggs Benedict with a side of their jalapeño cream cheese, and it was such a great combination. I'm someone who loves a little spice with my food, so I appreciated their house-made sauce--it added a nice kick without being overpowering. For food, ordering "Crimson Door's Perfect Starter" is an absolute must. You get four French Croissant Beignets that are warm, flaky, incredibly buttery, and served with a heavenly vanilla mascarpone. Everything we ordered was so good! I came by here on a Wednesday morning and sat at the bar since I was dining by myself. It wasn't so busy so I got seated pretty quickly. I ordered the Garden Omelette with ham and avocado. This is a local diacritics for a reason! The servers are wonderful and so is the foods the atmosphere is energized by the chatting of patrons and bustling kitchen. I wish I would have grabbed pictures, but we were in a bit of a rush. I ordered the Monte Cristo, which came with a delightful tomato soup. My children both ordered the kids grilled cheese with fries, I did taste test the fries with ranch (mom tax!) and have to say they have the best ranch I have had in a long time. My husband ordered a scramble and there wasn't a thing left on his plate! I also tried their prickly pear mimosa and it was Devine! I highly recommend the Crimson Door and look forward to future visits. The only reason it didn't get a full five stars was the waiting time. read more

We made a quick trip to Spokane Valley and wanted a good breakfast before we hit the road. We decided to try the crimson door. I know you shouldn't judge a place by the exterior however this just looks so fresh and clean and I love the red door. We walked in and were warmly greeted and seated in a booth. The interior was bright and warm, and felt spacious. We were given a menu and there were so many wonderful options. We want to try the French Croissant Beignet so we went with the Perfect Starter. Oh my gosh, the beignets came out, and they were warm and served with a side of vanilla mascarpone. Hint of sweetness without overpowering so good. We also ordered the senior farmhouse breakfast. This included one egg with the choice of a lemon crêpe, hotcakes, or hash browns. I elected to have a scrambled egg with a lemon crepe since we already have beignets. It was such a delicious breakfast. I was especially happy that the lemon crepe was flavorful without being overly sweet. I would definitely return here again read more

The food...I tried the beignets and tried the Veggie scramble...SO GOOD. I also had the fresh squeezed orange juice and it was definitely the best orange juice I have ever had. Only took away 1 star for the higher than average pricing on breakfast scrambles, mine was $20 and most other diners I've been to are $16-18 and the small portion of orange juice for $5 (I believe it was 8 ounces). read more

I asked how they cook their hash browns and was pleasantly surprised to learn they use beef tallow -- such a great touch. The omelet was delicious, perfectly cooked, and a very generous portion. Best pancakes on the face of this earth, you cannot convince me otherwise. Country fried steak was good too. No one at our table was a fan of their homemade root beer though. That's probably better suited for a root beer connoisseur. A little on the spendier side for a breakfast place, But definitely worth it. The service is always good the food is always better. Crimson Door Café is worth a trip to the valley, especially for the beignets. We arrived around 10 am on a Sunday ready to brunch and ready to wait. Luckily, it was only about a 10-minute wait before they were able to find seats for us at the bar. Since we ordered two mimosas, we were able to add 4 beignets for just a couple extra dollars. Speaking of the mimosas, the prickly pear one is great. I asked for mine a little less sweet and it was a nice balance to the champagne. My significant other had the jalapeno cream cheese eggs benedict and really liked it. I ordered the peach Danish hot cakes. It was similar to the beignets in that it came with vanilla mascarpone and powdered sugar. I think I might have overdone it with all my sugary choices, which just means I'll have to go back and try something else on the menu. Our favorite part of dining here was the servers behind the bar. Let's do this one BLUF style ... bottom line up front. If you haven't been here yet, ask yourself what you're waiting for! Call ahead, get a reservation, and get going because you're just moments from some outstanding food and excellent service. Go ahead, you're worth it! Just do it!!! Here's why. From the time we arrived to settling the bill on departure, everything was testimony to excellence. Simple things like a parking lot free of trash, litter and people's bad habits. Walking in the door, not so much as a muddy shoeprint on the floor. The entire facility is impressively well cleaned and obviously well cared for. The hostess made certain we found a perfect table for our Wednesday lunchtime visit. Our waiter Tony was spot-on throughout the entire service, making excellent recommendations for everything we had questions about, whether it was the soup of the day (their tomato bisque would make any Parisian chef proud, fyi) or even the gravy for the biscuits and gravy option. He knew just when to be table-side and when and how to make our meal service a memorable experience. The highlighted specials menu had a focus on all things "peach-y" and for good reason. My wife had the peach mimosa (declared to be "really yummy") with the peach cobbler crepes and pronounced them "absolutely delicious" and much better than the crepes served at that "European something" place with a couple facilities in the area. As for me, there were so many choices that a decision took literally 10 minutes to make before ordering. Everything on the menu just seemed like it would be crazy good. But, in the end, I was lured into a delicious Wagyu burger loaded up with Havarti cheese, mushrooms, carmelized onions, and a balsamic drizzle (plain ol' ketchup would have been an insult to this food!) My choices for sides were fries, soup or salad. I went with the salad and was blessed to find a bowl prepared like a feast for the eyes. But, it proved even tastier delivered on the fork. Talk about FRESH? There was a KARRRUNCH to the Romaine lettuce and a ripe, juicy flavor and texture to the tomatoes. The feta cheese crumbles added an extra dimension to the salad that could legitimately be served as a meal in itself! (And I'm not so much of a salads guy, for what that's worth!) The menu had a spectrum guaranteed to please whether you're coming for a breakfast or a lunch and every option seemed more tempting than the next! Now, for a couple observations on professional integrity to share. Being absolutely straight with their customers, they have a sign posted at the front door that announces that egg prices have caused them to downsize their omelettes from four eggs to three. That's something to be respected for its sincerity and candor. They also show their guests another bit of integrity and respect by posting their menu prices with a cash pay amount, and a "card-fee offset" amount. I found that to be fair and honest and had no qualms, whatsoever, about the pittance of a four percent fee. Finally, for my fellow veterans, if they happen to spot your military i.d. card, they have a happy little consideration for your final bill, also. Before we left, we got to meet Rick, the owner, and his son Kaston, who both shared their passion for a quality food service experience and a memorable personal commitment to excellence in every aspect.
